Artist unknown, probably from the Church of Saint Herbland in Rouen, Normandy, ca. 1520-1530. The French Revolutionary authorities closed the church in 1791, and it was torn down in 1824.

400 year old stone floor at The Prospect of Whitby , Wapping, England.

The Prospect of Whitby is a historic public house on the banks of the Thames at Wapping in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It lays claim to being the site of the oldest riverside tavern, dating from around 1520.

According to John Stow it was "The usual place for hanging of pirates and sea-rovers, at the low-water mark, and there to remain till three tides had overflowed them". Execution Dock was actually by Wapping Old Stairs and generally used for pirates. The most famous death here was probably that of the infamous pirate, Captain Kidd, who was hanged at the dock in 1701. It is thought that Judge Jeffreys used to watch hangings from the comfort of the pub's balcony. Views from the pub were sketched by both Turner and Whistler.

Larissa discovered that using her abilities that messed with the heads of people made it a lot easier to win at chess but more importantly she got John to speak out his thought process which let her learn more about different ways of thinking.

Simon did his best to get along with his brother and it worked out pretty good for their relationship when the youngest initiated things.

“From Hernán Cortés Emperor Charles V. Coyoacan

Sent by Fernando Cortés, captain and chief justice of the Yucatan, called the New Spain of the Ocean Sea, to the very high and most powerful Caesar and most invincible lord Don Carlos, Emperor semper Augusto and King of Spain, our lord.

Of the things that happened and which are very worthy of admiration in the conquest and recovery of the very great and marvellous city of Temixtitan, and of the other provinces subject to them, which rebelled. In which the said city and the said provinces the said captain and the Spaniards achieved great and notable victories worthy of perpetual memory. He also relates how they have discovered the South Sea and many other great provinces very rich in mines of gold, pearls and precious stones, and he even has news that there is a spectery.
