One O Five

The Floral Clock on the Gardens by the Bay.

This snapshot just needed a 1-2/3 stop underexposure to preserve sky highlights as the sensor dynamic range was decent enough. In raw conversion, 'vibrance' was used to enhance saturation. Cyan and blues of the sky were then intensified in post.

‧₊ ᵎᵎ 🌶️ ⋅ ˚✮ OH MY MY SPICED is the 5th mini album by the south korean girl group MELLY, released by HONEYCO Entertainment on febuary 10th 2024. It’s available as a digitally and physically copy, and has a total of FIVE tracks. "HONEY & SPICE", being its tittle track. MELLY promoted the album for five weeks, having performed the tittle track on various music shows, appearing on different variety shows, and promoting there song on social media with dance challenges.

HONEY & SPICE won the girls their FIRST MUSIC SHOW WIN! It was a very memorable experience for the girls. Yoona and Cupid both broke down into tears after hearing the news while Meilli and Sooah just stood in shock. The girls celebrated with a small off camera party with staff in which a few locals caught glimpses of the girls at a small bar in Seoul with there manager.

There two b-sides, UNTOUCHABLE and I WANNA DASH were heavily praised by netizens and fans for there new sound and uniqueness compared to their other b-sides in former mini albums. Due to both of the songs popularity they were later released as an official lyric video and dance practice for the two songs.

-- The girls appeared in 2 advertisements in this era. One for the brand LENS ME, a eye contact brand, in which the all 6 of the girls appeared in their newest launch of their eye wear. And the second ad being a skincare brand Mediheal, in which both Yoona and Cupid modelled for.

-- I'M THE STANDARD, Melly's debut song mv, reached 10 million views on YouTube.

-- While performing their tittle track at a festival, a fan launched a glass container on stage, hitting Meilli in the head. Though the glass did not break, Meilli was visibly hurt from the impact. Clutching her head and eventually having to be helped off stage by staff.

-- Dating rumour alert alert!!! Nancy was spotted leaving a restaurant with seventeens Dino.

-- Nancy later addressing the rumours on Instagram live, is defiantly the highlight of this mini album era for some Jellies. *Nancy are you dating Dino?????* Nancy blinks slowly, reading the comment over again. "What" she responds blankly. Blinking again. "Where, what and how did you guys come up with that conclusion" she laughs, leaning back in her chair.

-- People were freaking out about her one meeting with Dino when no one was talking about the multiple time she met up with Ryujin from itzy or Gyuri from dread end, sad honestly.

-- Yoona also got herself involved in a dating scandal however hers was a little over shadowed, fans took it as netizens being over dramatic. The situation was her making eye contact with Lee Know from stray kids. They both attended the same event and whilst there made eye contact for exactly 0.1 seconds. Netizens lost it.

-- Cupid teased a photo of a song clip on Instagram, captioned 'You'll never guess what ill release soon". Breaking down the caption, Jellies assume shes preparing for a solo debut!

-- She also received criticism from blinks, because recently Blackpinks Jennie teased a similar photo of a song clip.

-- the girls did a lot of dance challenges with other idols. Jellies joked that Hinata was trying to collect every Honeyco artist because she only did their Honey and Spice dance challenge with idols in Honeyco (and their ceo!).

🤩 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: @huehughes Hello everyone! It's time to direct the spotlight toward our community members, and today we will get to know better Hue Hughes!

"My name is Hue Hughes. I am a video editor and vfx artist living in coastal South Carolina. The inspiration behind this photo is creating a practical image that had action and tension. Shooting outdoors is something I very rarely do but it is how I got started.

I begin taking my very first toy photographs in 2017. It all started when I purchased a camera and macro lens. I started shooting my sons diverse collection of robots, space ships and superheroes.

It was a short time later I found a unique connection with LEGO®. Its simplistic design, scale, detail and bright color palette of this toy lent itself very well to toy photography. So well in fact, I bought a few more lens and enough LEGO® sets to start a small toy store and never looked back.

I believe every great story has a beginning, middle and end. This same philosophy also holds true for a good photograph. The image must tell a compelling story that catches the viewers attention and resonates some form of a response - a memory, excitement, joy or just a simple thought from your childhood.

Every image of mine is a window into another world and it’s that window we gaze upon to find a great toy story. Whether it’s throwing baking powder to simulate a winter blizzard on a mountainside or a fire cracker that showers a scene with sparks to mimic an explosion, I like creating all of my effects in camera and practically.

I build my own sets and create my own effects by hand using common household materials and old filmmaking techniques. This style of artisan photography adds an element of realism, personality and craftsmanship to a photo which forms a tighter bond between the viewer and the image.

I am a stronger believer that gear does not make a great shot. It helps but as an artist your equipment should help you achieve your style. My camera is a Canon 7d. I pair this body with either a EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 or EF 85mm f/1.8 usm. A single Litepanels Caliber Fresnel is my go-to for lighting. The final element is a fog machine that when combined with the Fresnel creates rich, dreamy photography."

When photographing trees, I would usually expose for the trunks as they seem to be the more conspicuous elements in the whole composition. And I would also often set the trunks as the focal points or converging lines in the frame as in this image.

So some speculative projects:

Doing some digging for SEO purposes, I found out that there's general interest in even bigger d20s than what I already make.

The blue is the standard size (mine are 22mm), the glittery one is 30mm, which is a relatively normal large d20, but the white one (made of paper) is 50mm!

(I kept seeing 55mm mentioned, but I had this one on hand back from when I was choosing fonts for the then new masters.)

Like heck! It is big! It still easily fits in my hand, but it's so much bigger!

I'm.. so tempted. It's such a satisfyingly large d20. Getting it printed will be its own adventure.

Speaking of adventures, do y'all need somewhere to keep track of yours? I may have something for that!

Some dicey notebooks (as in the pattern, not the quality)

The top one is the first prototype I got but it wasn't the best quality so I shopped around for a bit and found the nicer, larger one with lined, perforated pages! It has a nice matte hardcover with nice, thick black textured paper as the cover pages

And like I'm not going to show my chaotic notes I took from the commissions I did leading up to Christmas, because those are mostly just the lessons I learned along the way and it's just a chaotic mess..

But I honestly really like how they turned out.

I have these pretty much ready to put up in 10 different colors.

They would be print-on-demand but mine arrived within a week so it's not too bad.

I may also do some other patterns or artwork on the covers if there's interest!

#some speculative shop things #i honesty really love the quality of the larger notebook that i chose #theyre also less expensive to produce which is wild #because the smaller ones dont stay open very well and the text block was very roughly cut #meanwhile the larger ones sit flatter and have a nicer cover and have cleaner cuts on the text block #i actually tried to soft launch the notebooks a while ago on the shop but i dont think the listings were that great #that yellow one is my favorite of the ones i made and the brown is my second favorite #and i am using the yellow one we made stencils so i can use it as a weekly planner #also I'm intrigued by the idea of doing the bigger d20 #i just need a few people to enable me on this one tbh and I'd gladly do it #i even have a plan for how to get hopefully decent prints of it in parts so we can use the fdm printer G has #it would only work at this larger scale because thr way I'm thinking is face-by-face which would take some assembly but I'm fine with that #if it means theyre less likely to end up warped or have a ton of support to deal with #he has an ender 3 pro and i bought filament for him to use for prototypes like this #it's definitely been helpful to have at least some ability to have things 3d printed #I'm lucky i ended up with an engineering nerd who loves to do stuff like this
