❤️ FEATURE: @jbarchietto
March is ending, this is my last feature for this month and i wanna say bye with this great spring photo.
Honestly, how many of you raise your camera higher than the ground or little above ground level to take some photos? It's not easy but it gives a different and great perspective.
Examples? Here you got the perfect one.
I really like this lightest of the whole scene, this feeling of “relax, take it slowly”. Very nice composition, leading lines  of the roof and pillars make it all well organized. I like the aperture that Jerome used, the level of blur on the face of the green minifig leaves this nice place to interpretation. Does she like the singer on the roof or not too much? What do you think?
Congrats @jbarchietto really nice, fresh and sunny photo.
Thanks once again for this month,

❤️ FEATURE: SKABRAM
Who has spring on the other side of the window? With today's feature I wanna take you outside once again and relax with heron just sitting in the wild.
Can you imagine that this build is not a box set but a self build MOC? Impressive, truly impressive. But back to the picture, I love this wildlife feeling. I feel this quiet sitting in the bushes, slowly not breathing moving a few cm to the left to get a better look at the bird.
Heron is so well positioned in the frame, not looking straight into the camera but opening the scene into the left side and perfectly chosen colors of the background make heron really stand out.
Congratulations Really Beautiful photography and build

Review: LEGO Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons
Tumblr media
After many Lego Ideas attempts and a massively successful Ideas challenge campaign, Lego is finally releasing a set to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons. The winner of the challenge, Dragon's Keep: Journey's End, designed by BoltBuilds, was selected through an exciting fan vote. Although the set is not an exact copy of the submission, which is to be expected, it delivers an incredible experience.
The sets presents itself like a One-Shot Adventure. There is a QR code with a link in the build instructions to download the adventure, with pre-designed characters and a few scenarios to feed the adventure. There is a brief description on the monsters and the characters and some intro to the Dungeons & Dragons history. Full disclaimer, I haven't had my hands on the actual adventure that comes with the set (the code does not work yet), so this is mostly based on intuition and guesses. I will try my best to avoid any spoilers.
If you are a DnD player, or even more a dungeon master, building the set itself is pure joy. As you go along creating the parts of the set, you also go along building secrets, treasures, traps, monster hideouts... No brick is placed randomly and there is a purpose for even the smaller space. You feel like you are preparing the stage for your players.
The heroes and the NPCs
The adventure comes with four pre-designed heroes: A Dwarf Cleric, a Gnome Fighter, and Orc Rogue and an Elf Wizard. All three come with two different heads, male and female, with the exception of the orc that just has two different expressions. They are customizable up to a degree, including weapons and spells.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Besides the heroes, we have two NPCs: the innkeeper (also two heads for male/female) and a green dragonborn, which uses the head mould from the Vidiyo series.
The monsters
There is a surprisingly large selection of monsters in the set. A gelatinous cube (which was teased on social media), a beholder, an owlbear, a mimic (or two?), a displacer beast, a treant, two Myconid? (I'm not sure if that's what they are meant to be), several skeletons and a large red dragon.
The smaller monsters are all brick-built and very well made, in perfect proportion for the heroes and to fit inside the scenarios. The owlbear and the beholder however might be too big to put inside the buildings or ruins though, so maybe they will just appear in specific places, but both of them are gorgeous builds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The dragon itself is huge and beautiful, but delicate. I keep having to reattach the legs often when trying to pose it. The head also keeps looking down, since there is not much friction on the ball joint and the head is too big and heavy for it. And yes, there are printed tiles for the eyes! They are just almost impossible to see behind the horns.
Tumblr media
The scenarios
The set is divided into four different builds with their respective books of instructions: the inn, the forest/dungeons, the tower, and the dragon. All three have different styles and building techniques, so it makes the building experience entertaining. I'm not a fan of the blue/purple roof of the inn, but I agree that it needed a color pop to separate it from the rest of the build and the dragon.
All three are open in the back, to allow the players to move around. For a toy photographer, this gives the chance to shoot many different scenes. They are also modular and can be easily separated, I'm assuming to allow players to go around discovering each one individually as they explore the environment. On their own, the scenarios are small, so I'm guessing movement will have to be limited or counted by studs.
Everyone knows a good adventure starts and ends on an inn. Our heroes need a place to rest and prepare for the coming adventure, so I'm guessing this is where the adventure will begin.
Tumblr media
Some details will have to be described by the Dungeon Masters, otherwise I don't see how four players's heads can look into the tiny inn and say: "Hey, I want to investigate the chest, it looks interesting" or "That brick has a different color, I want to know if I can move it". It will also look very cramped if all four minifigures try to be in the same room investigating or fighting a monster.
There are already a few secrets on the inn for the more curious adventurers, and food and drinks for the more relaxed ones.
As they leave the inn they will most likely step into the forest, and from there, several paths can be followed. One could go through the ruins, or the dungeons, explore both, or find a completely new path to the tower (which I assume is the final destination).
On the way, there will be treasure to be found, weapons and spells, some potions... These are things to prepare for the upcoming final battle. But to get to those there will be monsters and traps and mysteries to be solved.
As with the inn, the space is very small to see and put all the players in, so the Dungeon Master must be very involved in describing and hinting so the players can be more successful at finding these secrets.
Tumblr media
Eventually, they would reach the tower where there is a climb up to the adventure finale. I don't want to show much there to avoid spoilers, but the same applies here. Secrets to be found and possibly the story will unfold into an unexpected conclusion.
Verdict
With a high price of 359,99€/$359.99 and 3745 pieces, it is a large and expensive set. But for both LEGO and Dungeons & Dragons fans, if you can afford it, this one is worth it. The joy of physically building the adventure and being able to play with the characters and monsters is for me what makes it so great.
I also believe that most of the scenes are rather a visual reference than a playing grid, it does feel small for four players to move around and still be able to see the surroundings, let alone have full battles in a few squared studs. But I'm more than happy to try!
I would also say that fans of medieval fantasy would probably enjoy the set, but perhaps some of the lore will pass unnoticed. However, for those who are not DnD or Medieval theme fans, it might not be worth it at all.
As a toy photographer, heavily invested in fantasy themes, I love all the different backgrounds and characters that come with the set. It feels like there are so many storytelling possibilities, so many moments to capture, and it has so much potential for modifications. You could add your own characters for the story, add a few more treasures and traps, or create your own adventure.

Tips: Bringing Landscapes Indoors
Tumblr media
For this last week I will encourage you to use live plants as decor. The ones I use the most are Bonsais, they already have the right proportions for our minifigures! Bonsais are hard to take care of, and perhaps is not the kind of plant many people have at home, but even if it's a simple ficus or a small pine tree, real plants give the photographs something that cannot be achieved with plastic ones. You can still see in the photograph it's alive.
You don't have to use them stand alone if you don't want to. Combined with previous tips, you can create beautiful landscapes on your table. A bit of moss for a grass field, some real or handmade rocks as far away mountains. All perfectly minifigure size.
Tumblr media
Pick your plant and place it wherever you want to take the picture and surround it with dirt and rocks to cover the base. You don't need to remove it from the pot, this way the plant is better protected and will last longer. Add some real rocks, some moss and a beautiful backdrop. I use a very simple one, with a semi-transparent orange paper and a lamp behind to backlit the scene. But you could use a printout of your own pictures or even a television.
Place now your minifigures, your sets or mocs around or in front of the bonsai.
Tumblr media
Keep your eyes open. Everything can be used to create new worlds, you just need a bit of imagination.

This is my final reminder for this month's Brickcentral theme, 'Shot in tiny.' For this month's theme, I'm excited to see how you capture our small friends in photographs and create stories around them.
In my last shot, I placed a colorful knight in the center, capturing him in a place where only the blue of the sky and snow white are visible, emphasizing the loneliness and grandeur of the tiny minifigure's winter journey. I used a wide-angle lens for this purpose.
Have fun and get creative with your shots!
📖 Some rules to remember:
📱 All entries need to be posted in the Brickcentral Discord Server (link in the bio). Just reply to the March theme post in the monthly activities section and you’re done!

🆕Accepts old photos along with New ones
🧱All images need to have some minifigure, NOT required to include brick built elements in it.
👶Capturing minifigures at a small scale is desirable, but the term "small" lacks clear rules, leaving it to the photographer's discretion.
⛔️ Community rules will still apply, so no excessive violence, dead bodies etc.
🖼️Multiple entries are allowed!
💻 ⛔️ And of course, NO AI images allowed. This is about real photography after all…

❤️ FEATURE: @storiesinbricks
Let's start today's feature with a very important question: is this a real giraffe or is it a brick built giraffe?
It's so hard to say at the first look for me, it looks so real. But establishing that this is LEGO, what a beautiful shot, it got so much of this safari, wild and nature atmosphere. I literally feel like sitting on the hood of the land rover or in the bushes with a telephoto lens and enjoying a beautiful moment. Outstanding, close to the sunset light - it takes a bit of the knowledge and understanding to photograph with sun shining directly into the frame, big respect. It all gives this softness, natural orange/yellow glow and simply beautiful photo
Congratulations @storiesinbricks Really outstanding shot

Tips: Bringing Landscapes indoors
Tumblr media
This week I will be showing you how to create beautiful grass fields. This is a very simple trick. I use moss to simulate grass. Moss grows almost anywhere and it's very simple to take care of. I keep mine in a plastic container with some holes at the bottom outside in the balcony. It only needs shadow and humidity. And then I have permanent grass for my pictures.
Tumblr media
To set up a scene remember you only need to cover those areas that the camera sees, you don't really need to cover the full scene. I used different types of moss to give it a bit more of texture and colors (it gives the scene a bit more reality).
Tumblr media
I also used the mountain for the past week and some real rocks to add depth and background to the scene. And my favourite sky poster. For the last tip I will show you how to use real plants, in this case bonsais since their proportions match those of our favourite bricks! @taskera

Tumblr media
Hello community!
We've asked to our spotlighted artist zekezachzoom to provide an exclusive picture for @brickcentral along with some insights on how he made it, and here's what he have to say:
"When I was asked to produce an image for this post, I went through my usual process for coming up with ideas. There was no exact theme to follow, so there was total creative freedom. I have several notebooks filed with sketches from ideas that came to me previously. I will usually flip through them and pick any concept that strikes my fancy. I will then park these ideas at the back of my brain and start to absorb other concepts from looking at random stuff on the Internet, esp on Youtube and Pinterest. I will let these ideas further develop subconsciously and then pick the one that I fancy the most
Tumblr media
WHY I CHOOSE THIS PHOTO I learned a long time ago that the best ideas come when you are not actively chasing for one. They just come randomly. In this particular case, I was trying to learn more about low key lighting and saw examples of film noir…and then everything came together for the final image: • I had just bought LEGO series 25 (yes, late to the game!) and the noir detective would be perfect for this. • I enjoy creating simple setup that suits my concept. In this case, it’s just a black box with some tiny crushed paper for texture and additional alley cat rummaging through a trash can. • I usually enjoy shooting dramatic low-key images when indoor. • A friend wanted to throw away a Monster Inc prop and I asked him for it, cause it has an interesting pattern and makes a perfect GOBO (a gobo is a light modifier, typically a stencil)! Pretty sure this won’t be the last time I will be using it as a lighting modifier. I usually have silly, fun concepts with LEGO minifigures but sometimes, I let my dark side take over. In fact, I was ready to do a re-shoot with another idea if needed!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE SETUP I used two speedlights for this shot. One for key light from the front with no diffusion so that I can create hard shadows, which is characteristics of film noir. The other one is positioned at the back of Pennywise for lighting the background. I have one more constant light to brighten up the foreground, just to show a bit of the rat. I created the poster of Pennywise with Adobe Illustrator. I felt the right side had too much negative space and created the poster to balance the photo. I usually start off my composition with my mobile phone, moving it around to find the best angle and then mount my camera on the tripod. I always use a tripod because it allows me to experiment with different lighting settings which I can then take into Photoshop for easy composite work if necessary. I used blue tac and wire to float the balloon. Some more tac at the base of the detective, so that i can balance him while making him arch his back to make better eye contact with the balloon. Finally, thick wire and globs of tac to hold Pennywise in position. The only major challenge was to create the atmosphere for this shot with the use the mini fog machine. With the use of these machines, luck plays a big part in getting the correct distribution of haze. After 75 shots with and without fog and narrowing down the final few shots, I ended up with the first one, which did not contain the haze! It just felt right. Hahaha. I think some people can relate to that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
FINAL THOUGHTS This was a fairly easy shoot compared to others I have done, as far as scene setup and posing is concern. I always try to take the time to lock down the figures and props. It makes photographing them more enjoyable without worrying if they will topple down. I usually use speedlights for my toy photography and suggest you try it too! Even though I have an idea what the lighting outcome will likely be, sometimes, the results can be a little unexpected. It is great for freezing action and you can use it to create night scenes even though the ambient light is bright. I always enjoy the post processing work. I have been a Photoshop user for almost 30 years (still learning new things everyday!). The color grading process is my favourite part. It can take a ordinary looking image and make it into a cinematic one. Hate it or love it, I am of the opinion that whatever tool is available to make the story come alive and make it better visually, I am all for it."

Tumblr media
🤩 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: zekezachzoom Hello everyone! It's time to direct the spotlight toward our community members, and today we will get to know better zekezachzoom!
Tumblr media
"My name is Sunny but you might know me better as zekezachzoom on social media. I am a freelance graphic designer and have been a toy photographer for 10 years.
I came up with this profile name after my sons’. Zeke is my second son and Zach my first. I imagined them running away after calling their names, hence Zoom. I live in Singapore where we have two seasons, Rain and Shine. It’s a tiny island and getting around is pretty fast and easy. I have a few favourite spots around the island for toy photography. I will be more than happy to explore these places with any of my overseas friends if they pop by this part of the world! Though sometimes I wish we have mountains, rivers and maybe desert for more outdoor choices. On the plus side, being a small island makes organizing an outing with fellow toy photographers very easy, even if it is a last minute thing.
Tumblr media
I started toy photography after posting an image of Spiderman squatting on the window ledge overlooking the neighborhood on Instagram…and then discovering the community. Everyone was and still is very encouraging and I think this helped in me trying to better myself with each photograph. Though Instagram is not what is used to be, but that is a discussion for another day.
Tumblr media

Talking about process, if there is a brief for the photo (commissioned work, photo contest), I will usually follow up with some research work on the topic. At the same time, I will park the topic for the photo at the back on my mind and let it simmer unconsciously.
However, for personal work, I usually do not actively chase for ideas, forcing them out. I find that most ideas come to me randomly. This usually happens in a variety of ways, like watching videos on any subject, going about my daily life, observing and listening to things around me. I think being curious about everything and anything certainly helps in generating ideas.
Once I have a photo idea, I then let it sit and simmer further in my mind’s eye. This can help take the concept to more interesting directions in terms of story, setup, composition, lighting, etc. More ideas can be built upon this initial concept base on even more things you see and observe. It also allows time to think about how to setup the shot.
I will always sketch my ideas on my notebook, which is always by my side. At present time, I have more ideas than time to shoot!
Tumblr media
When it comes to the shoot itself, I usually start with the mobile phone, quickly checking the angles and then locking my camera to a tripod. I always use a tripod to gather multiple shots of the same angle with different lighting, atmospheric effect so that I can then composite them in post if need be. Then I will shoot couple of shots for final composition without the lighting and atmospheric effect. I enjoy the post production work, especially the color grading part. Sometimes, the word PHOTOSHOP give rise to arguments within the photographic community. To me, it’s just a tool to bring the picture to its maximum potential.
Tumblr media
I think people I know in the community know me for my punny, silly and light-hearted stuff. So much so that friends recommend me toys they think that might fit this style. However, recently I find myself going all over the place in terms of themes. I just enjoy the process of experimenting different approaches, be it the storytelling or the technical bits of photography. When I am shooting indoor, I usually set up for low key images. It gives me a chance to experiment with indoor lighting. If there is one thing I would tell my younger self when I started, it’s to pay attention to lighting. It can elevate a nice photo to a great photo. Also, I like to build simple sets with everyday object that end up looking like something else when viewed through the camera. I do this mostly because I am lazy and don’t have the patience to build dioramas. I am usually with a group of friends when I shoot outdoors, because we have a monthly gathering among us. During these outings, I am constantly looking out for areas with awesome lighting. I try to reserve my action shots (ie scenes with flying debris) outdoors, mostly because there is no need to clean up after the mess! Also, outdoor light is beautiful…but fast changing lighting condition is another story all together.
Tumblr media
When I first started, it was all about the Star Wars figures. I had stopped collecting figures since the 1980s , but it was the Star Wars Black Series that got me collecting again with all its glorious articulation. Once I discovered the community, I realized that there were other characters to be bought! I sometimes wonder if that is a good thing, from my wallet’s point of view.

I find myself gravitating towards nostalgia when it comes to the figures I buy. So, my collection and images usually reflect that, with movie/TV characters from the 80s. Stuff like Aliens, Indiana Jones, Predator and Back to the Future, etc. However, whether they are LEGO minifigures, statues, 6 inch figures, I will shoot any figures as long as they serve the stories. Each type of figures has its own pros and cons and challenges. But I would not have it any other way.
This is my basic equipment list: • Nikon Zfc with kit lens (16mm to 50mm) • Lensbaby Sweet 35 lens • Helios 44-2 58mm lens • Extension tubes for close ups • 2 speed lights • Couple of LED cube lights • Manfrotto tripod
Tumblr media
Why toy photography? I love pop culture and telling quirky weird stories with characters I love. I can never produce awesome looking illustration of these images I have in mind and photography seems like the next best thing. Hence toy photography! When I first started, I was always coming up with ideas in the middle of the night and sketching them down and made it my mission to spread this hobby. I recall vividly telling a friend how much I enjoy this hobby and was going to just keep throwing out toy photos into the internet and see what comes back. And a lot has indeed happen since then: • I started a local Facebook group to organize more toy photography outings and share photos. • Managed to get featured on national newspaper and television, because they came across my work online. • Made friends on social media and participated in podcast by some of these friends. • Conducted workshops. • Shot for some toy companies. • Collaboration with toy designers and model/diorama makers. • Nikon Ambassador.
Tumblr media
I have enjoyed the journey so far and look forward to improving myself. Something I always remind myself: your best photo is the one you have not taken yet."
Thank you for accepting our invitation and let the community knows you better!

Hi, community.
This month's Brickcentral theme is "SHOT IN TINY," just a little reminder for you.
Don't stress about it too much, just try taking a slightly smaller shot of your minifig than usual!
You're free to choose the location for the shoot, and it's totally fine if there are no other bricks around, just the minifig like in my sample photos.
Of course, feel free to arrange any of your own brick creations around the minifig too!
Have fun and get creative with your shots!

I got something calm, balanced and with pretty light today for you.
If I were to describe this photo, one word would be subtle. Very delicate, balanced and simply arranged. First and the most eye-catching thing for me is light with all of the “delicate power”. Whole frame is rather in the dark and shadow tones but this light that gets into the frame thru the pillars is sooo enough. I draw lines on the floor directing our eyes into the minifig. And look at those contours on the blue legs and torso - beautiful.
I really like the whole composition, this less is more approach - not continuing the minifig is like 3(?) colours here.
Well done, really nice photo to watch, congratulations and hope that the umbrella wasn't needed

TIPS: Bringing Landscapes indoors
Tumblr media
Hi community! This week I will be showing you how to create mountains out of packaging paper, some paint and some cotton.
Everyone has these piles of papers from packages delivered to our home. The first thing we do with them is to throw them away. However, you can transform this into mountains fairly easily (or caves, or rock walls...). Another item that I find unvaluable is a blue sky poster with some clouds (you can also print your own of course). The first step is to crumple up the paper and make shapes with it. Triangles work great for mountains. You can also give them depth by stuffing them with (yes, you guess right) more packaging paper. To keep the shape I put some tape in the back. It will eventually get destroyed with handleling, but this way they last a bit more. Once made, I put them in a box in the balcony (or on the street with some paper) and I paint them completely with a grey spray paint. If you don't have one, you can also paint with a brush! the spray is just faster. I used three different colors to give them some shape. Grey overall, black aiming from the botton (shadows) and white from the top (snow and highlights). These three colors will be enough to give a more realistic impression that just gray.
Tumblr media
I then use the cotton to create some clouds. I cut some small bits and put it around the mountains, and the rest at the bottom, to give the impression that we are flying above the clouds to the mountain tops.
Tumblr media
For the next tip I will show you how to use moss for grasslands, and how to care for it, so you can always have it available. @taskera

Quick question, is it warm or cold in your place? For sure it is a bit cold with today's feature I got for you.
What a brilliant, funny and original photo. If I remember correctly, the author used mini face mister and minus a lot of degrees weather to achieve this frozen effect. Poor little viking guy, but on the other hand - why would you want to start a fight with the ice queen, in the snow, and cold, and winter… common men, think for a second !
All in nice white/blue colors and despite that is not a lot “going on” in the frame i all so dynamic. I can literally hear this “sss sss sshhhwoooshhh” sound that this icing blue queen weapon makes.
Great photo, congrats @thebrickdwarf
Thanks a lot, stay warm and if you gonna see ice queen - quickly go the other way.

❤️ FEATURE: Edgy Mando
Hi, @archiminibricks here, I got a feature for you today
Let's go into the first feature of the month like our hero from the picture, with no fear, concentrated, straight to the point and all the way in.
I really like this photo, it is dark, intriguing and makes you stay for a little longer to take a closer look.
Many good things combined together are here, let's start with light - backlight, sharp, it already gives this danger/serious mood. Texture on the snow and gray columns. Shadows on… well everywhere, makes the scene more dramatic. Nice tones of gray and white, broken by a yellow minifig hero with colorful hair.
And last but not least, details like swords, helmet and the rest of the weapons close whole nice setup
Congrats Edgy mando, really beautiful photo.

Thanks for your time
see ya

TIPS: Bringing Landscapes indoors
Tumblr media
Hi all! This month I will be showing you how to create a variety of landscapes at home, using common items from the street or from your own home.
As a first example, I will show you how to build a forest. There is really nothing easier! Gather a bunch of sticks from the street, from a forest or your favourite garden center. Please be kind to nature, and do not harm plants for these. You want dry sticks anyway, not green ones.
I prepared a large cardboard and draw the basic shapes of where I wanted the road, the trees and so on. Once you have a bunch of sticks, to help them stay vertical, I use hot glue to glue some cardboard squares and glue this onto a large cardboard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I filled in the base of the cardboard with plain dirt (I use the same one I have for my plants, because it's dark and has texture). You can pick this up on the floor of any forest or park.
Tumblr media
For the atmosphere I use face misters as fog, a water spray for the rain, the flash to highlight this effects, and I printed some storm clouds on a paper and put it in the back
For the next tip I will show you how to create mountains out of packaging paper that look realistic.

Sharing my review for the LEGO 80113 Family Reunion Celebration. My husband gave me a gift card for the Holidays and waited patiently for this set’s release on Jan. 1st 2024. The reviews are based on my own opinion. I omitted the minifigures just because I wanted to focus on the build itself.
Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with this beautiful set! The Family Reunion Celebration set is a traditional restaurant with beautiful details and wall art. This set has 1823 pieces and has 2 detachable floors for play. It comes with 13 Lego Minifigures but I would like to talk more about the intricate design and art of this set and how eye-catching it is for me.
The build details
Tumblr media
I admire the “Nice Part Usage” of the frogs for a more Asian architectural approach. The gold ingot in Earth Green is the perfect Green for the roof tiles.
The corner stalls
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These beautiful, printed stickers add a sense of Asian culture to the build.
The entrance
Tumblr media
Again the characters are neatly printed and are very inviting.
The aquarium
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is my favorite part of the build! The aquarium is a way of attracting good luck and fortune. The placement of it in Feng Shui is perfect!
The kitchen
Tumblr media
The Kitchen is very playable too with pots and pans and that duck!
The paintings

The paintings on the 2nd floor are so beautiful! On the round table, you can gaze at this beautiful bird painting while the light is shining through the window. When you go to use the bathroom on the same floor, you will see a beautiful castle painting that reminds you of where the Ancient Chinese Gods live.
Summary
This set costs $129.99/€129.99/£89.99 and comes with a sticker sheet. Some wouldn’t like the stickers but for me, it added to the play as if I’m holding a piece of delicate art and framing it. This set comes with a lot of really good pieces like the gutters and fence and as a builder, I know I can create tons of beautiful MOC’s with this set.

📸March Theme: Shot in Tiny
Hello, community!
@brickanywhere is here thrilled to unveil Brickcentral's March theme!
Are you a fan of those adorable little icons in the world of LEGO – the minifigures?
This month, we want you to capture these small minifigures in a way that's "smaller than usual” Worried that making these minifigures even smaller in photos might cause them to disappear or become less noticeable in the frame? Fear not!
We want you to unleash your creativity and imagination, figuring out how to guide the viewer's gaze towards these small minifigs within the composition of your photos.
Think outside the box! How can we make these minifigs the focal point without losing them in the frame?
As an example, I captured a minifig reflected in a tiny droplet (the upside-down perspective creates a captivating effect), played with color tones to make the minifig stand out, and created a story involving flowers.
At the end of the month, I'll pick the winners and select the finalists for community vote. I'll be judging based on your ideas about how to attract attention to tiny minifigs and the technical skills demonstrated in your photos.
Get ready to shrink your creativity and make those minifigs the stars of your photos!
📖 Some rules to remember:
📱 All entries need to be posted in the Brickcentral Discord Server (link in the bio). Just reply to the February theme post in the monthly activities section and you’re done!
🆕Accepts old photos along with New ones
🧱All images need to have minifigure, but not requre to include brick built elements in it.
👶It is good to capture minifigures as small as possible. However, the term "small" is ambiguous, and there are no clear rules, leaving it to the discretion of the photographer.
⛔️Community rules will still apply, so no excessive violence, dead bodies etc.
🖼️Multiple entries are allowed!
💻 ⛔️ And of course, NO AI images allowed. This is about real photography after all…
The activity will end on 29th March at 23:59 CET.
Happy building!
