First of all, y’all were completely right with your tumblr-diagnosis of mastitis. Thank you! I got an antibiotic from my dr on Friday. It was very early so she recommended waiting till Saturday; if it didn’t start feeling better, then start taking the antibiotic. Funny enough, I woke up Saturday and it felt significantly better. So I guess now I’ve got the antibiotic if I need it in the future and at least now I know what it feels like to better identify it myself.
We traveled to my parents house 2.5 hours away in NJ for the weekend and stayed with them Friday night till Sunday afternoon. We got to see my grandfather who turned 90 on Sunday. He’s not doing well, and it feels like the last time I’ll see him, so it was very special that we could see him and have him meet Derrick and see Holden again.
Back to the regularly scheduled programming today. MIL is helping a few days this week so B can continue repairs at the apartment building. I’m holding it down here at home with her help. No other issues so far with my MIL.. let’s hope it stays that way. Though her dropping off food she cooks for us is so nice and appreciated, I’m missing my own home cooking a bit. 😅 I’ll try and make a little something this week that we can share with her.
I’m feeling more focused on weight loss now. I’ve got my postpartum 6-week appointment on Thursday where I’ll hopefully get cleared to exercise. We live in a quiet, idyllic community and I see other folks out jogging and walking with their strollers and whatnot and I’d love to be able to do the same soon. Maybe meet some more neighbors that way, too. Just in time for the fall weather to arrive. Yes.

09112023 day 17/30 of intentionality
my intentions for today:
health: am meds, hygiene, exercise, diet log, pm meds
work: 9-5, crisis supporter meeting
study: submit stats exam
reset: walk dog
reflection: didn’t intend to do too much today because i knew i’d need a break from the exam last night. i’ll get the next (and last!) one done tomorrow morning.

bike ride to the gym

bike ride home
the gym workers received Hershey kisses
visited my Mom. talked to the physical therapist and scheduled a home assessment for my Mom on Thursday at 1pm. the physical therapists will see how my Mom does at home and make recommendations.
picked up a few things from Kroger
i need to follow up with Walmart on a credit card issue. on Saturday, i bought a few things and scanned my card. the Walmart register kept saying "processing" and wouldn't finish. i asked the clerk if we should cancel and pay with a different card. she agreed and pressed cancel. i then paid with another card that went through quickly. when i got home, i discovered that both cards were charged.
top left = beautiful blue sky
bottom left = found some tobacco in this pouch on the sidewalk. put it in the trash.
bottom right = found a blue powerade drink on the sidewalk. i tossed it in the trash in case it had been tampered with

09:00 ВС РФ уничтожили украинскую пехотную группу недалеко от Артемовска
Российские артиллеристы смогли уничтожить пехотную группу Вооруженных сил Украины, которая находилась в одном из населенных пунктов неподалеку от Артемовска. Об этом сообщает Минобороны России.
«В ходе проведения воздушной разведки средствами объективного контроля были выявлены участки местности с большим скоплением личного состава ВСУ. Эта информация была передана на командный пункт гвардейского Костромского артиллерийского полка Ивановского соединения ВДВ», — говорится в сообщении.
Отмечается, что российские военные наносят удары из «Градов» по живой силе и технике противника. При этом сообщается, что боевые машины находятся на постоянном дежурстве.
