Hey because I am obsessed and will never stop talking about this movie, I would like to point out a small detail from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

"Remember, Quasimodo: this is your sanctuary."

This line is followed up with a twisted, even sinister little smile from Frollo. It's a private little inside joke with himself.

"Sanctuary! Please, give us sanctuary!"

Quasi's mother's last words before Frollo kills her. Frollo's cruelty goes beyond the gaslighting and manipulation. He REVELS in the cruel irony of Quasi's situation.

This is why he's so effective as a villian. You don't have to write them complicated and relatable, you just have to write them CONSISTENT. Frollo is, as the movie hammers into our heads, a monster, even (and I would say especially) in private moments.

I have something in mind... it doesn't have a title or a well-defined plot (despite being inspired by a movie), but I have some sort of summary? Shall we call it that? I'll try to write something below, if you are interested let me know what you think and whether I should pursue the idea!

Kurt is a social climber (I don't even know if this is the right term 💀). He loves wealth, glitz, quick and easy things. He loves the most expensive accessories and luxurious vacations. He madly loves his son, adopted together with his husband whose name he sometimes even forgets, and if he were asked to work even for a day and get busy, he would rather shoot himself in the mouth. He is also a bit of an asshole. But what if one day his husband disappears (cause of disappearance to be defined lmao) leaving him alone in the midst of all the undeserved wealth, a son to raise without the risk of him being taken away by social workers, and a lot of debt? How to make quick and easy money? That's right. By becoming an escort. And the people he will meet are not quite like the ones he is used to...

I know it's probably a tired plot, but the movie I was inspired by is one of my favorites and I really want to pursue the idea! I've been thinking about it for months! What do you guys think? Is it too obvious? Should I give up? 😔

I just rewatched The End of Time episode of Doctor Who and I've never been more confused.

Ok, so the Master was eating people trying to restore the energy he was losing, but he was also zapping the Doctor with energy? And using it to fly around like Iron Man? And he was jumping really high for some reason?

Also, when the Master starts zapping him energy the Doctor just... sorta... walks into it? For what purpose besides look cool? Did he think the Master wasn't going to hit him? It probably was to only look cool.

Also, the Master realizes that Rassilon had caused him to go mad only to ascend the Time Lords and destroy time and even so refused to take him too. But later the Master menages to leave Gallifrey again and just... doesn't kill Rassilon? Was he too weak to try to do that? Couldn't Missy do that after the Doctor kicked Rassilon out of Gallifrey? Did she think the Doctor might do it himself? Or was this something that is adressed later and I just haven't seen the episode yet?
