But when a car accident leaves Gideon without any memories of her past, Harrow sees a chance at the clean slate she’s wanted for years. Becoming involved in Gideon’s recovery assuages some of the guilt, but as she and Gideon become closer and increasingly involved in each other's lives, Harrow worries that some of her secrets may be more than she can atone for.

If you could change one stereotypical role for a LU boy in a story, what would it be and why?

A good question. One that I've got several answers to. But lets go with just one for now.
(Sky in leadership role ftw, jk)
Medic Sky.
Sky comes from a small town that fly around on giant birds. (That have large talons might i add) I can totally see him having a form of medical training and knowing various herbs and stuff for healing remedies. Ect Ect. Can you imagine falling from your loftwing and landing on a random sky island because of a skytail attack? Your gonna need to know some sort of first aid especially if you land on an outer island.
I've tried my hand at writing it myself, but i want to do more with it cause its got so much unexplored potential!

"Dustin's non-conformist plot keeping him ideologically separate from his friends and Steve is something they just introduced in S4, idk why they would make him different than his OG self and then finally give him a plot related only to losing Eddie in S5" yeah...no.
Let's take a stroll through canon and talk about it.
forewarning: long / image heavy post
The lead up to Dustin hitting a "wall" about his non-conformity has worked its way into all the seasons leading up to this one in EXTREMELY clear ways, even outside of Eddie. Eddie is just the tipping point for that bent toward non-conformity traumatizing him.
Dustin was one of the FIRST of the party to experience a desire to conform, which we saw when he got to know Steve, and then tired to emulate him using Steve's hair spray & embracing his (toxic) ideology about girls—
—until he backed away from the "lie" of conformist confidence he was trying to project (post-rejection) & ended up encouraged by Nancy...and seeing how that upset the shallow girls even more.
We start S3 with that "lesson learned" and immediately end up with a Dustin who calls people out on their bullshit in S3 and S4 when they were behaving like 'conformists' in regards to their romantic relationships + is true to himself in romance and his interests—
—who then in Season 4 finds a specific kind of kinship with Eddie in particular, because he embraced the "non-conformity" in a way none of his friends had on the same level (including Mike in his own way).
Dustin found kinship with Eddie not just because he looked up to him, but because he reflected back his own personality. They bonded over something Dustin had already learned for himself (that behaving in a way that is dishonest to your true self is not how you should go about your life) and held to it even to the point of challenging his best friends—
—only to immediately lose him and that kinship in the most brutal way possible, when Eddie finds out about the supernatural shit that has been haunting him in secret and helps him fight it....only to then die right in front of his eyes.
Like. Let's be so honest with ourselves. As brutal as him losing Steve (king of high school, struggling EVEN NOW because he doesn't know how to be his authentic self) would be...it would not have even a modicum of the same effect on him given his current self-perception. It would hurt, lets be clear...but it's not tied to his own sense of identity the way Eddie had become, and we even see it in how Dustin regularly calls Steve's mindset and his behaviors foolish throughout S3-S4.
The loss of Eddie ties into Dustin's sense of himself in a way that has been building up for 3/4 of the seasons we've had so far—and him being left with Eddie's last words to continue that non-conformity as the impetus for him feeling isolated from his remaining friends while being haunted by Vecna makes perfect sense narratively if you think about Dustin as a character on his own.

Favorite LU boy and why?
FOUR!!! Four is best boi <3
There’s several reasons why - Minish Cap was my first Zelda game, and still holds a special place in my heart for it.
I really love Four’s LU design, with the vivid colours, detailed embroidery, and the little detail of his earring (MINISH FEATHER!!!). It’s always fun to look at.
I also really enjoy the different ways Four’s character can be handled especially with regard to the Colours - there’s a lot of potential to explore in very different directions, and just because I have a favourite doesn’t mean the others aren’t interesting.
And finally, I strongly relate to being considered ‘the responsible one’, when in fact your brain is in a constant debate between arson, vandalism, and just standing in the middle of a room screaming.

another terrible and angsty thought that will not happen but I'm thinking it anyway: what if yuji is able to get megumi out of the abyss but ends up dying, and seeing the last person megumi cared about die causes him to initiate the merger

"That’s not possible,” says Tridentarius, her long hair a colorless oil spill across her shoulders as she gives her head a shake. There really is genuine distress on her face, he thinks. Imagine that. “This cannot be happening. This is simply impossible—”
“You know, people are always using that word,” he says, cheerfully. “I don’t think it means what most of them seem to think it means, though. Listen to me for just a moment, won’t you? I promise it’s important. Princess, I’ve come to bargain.”
(Palamedes fights Ianthe for control of the body of Naberius Tern. For everyone else present at the scene, it’s over in an instant. The two of them aren’t quite so lucky.)

i find myself going back and reading your fics with little noah mackinnon very often! i’m not even close to having kids, but i love the thought of them climbing into bed looking for their parents. maybe after a rough game like this with noah going and making his dada smile with cute baby giggles 🥺. just having a day full of love after such a sad loss
ohmygosh anon thank you for this!! i LOVE noah graham mackinnon so much and there’s plenty more i haven’t even written yet but i’m so happy out like the fics i’ve posted so far. also spoiler alert, in the baby avs verse as @tonyspep and i have named it, noah gets two little siblings so!! this idea is adorable so here you go🥺
a toddler can’t fully grasp what happened tonight, you know that. but noah is familiar with both nate’s happiness after a win and sadness after a loss. he could tell his dad wasn’t happy when he gave him the usual excited postgame hug.
but noah’s bright smile and joy was enough to make nate happy, even if you could tell something was still off. it convinced noah that everything was okay.
or so you thought.
you snuggle in closer to nate in bed, wrapping your arms around him and pressing a kiss to his chest as a silent reminder you’re there. and just as you close your eyes, ready to go to sleep, the bedroom door creaks open and the softest “dada?” is said into the quiet air of the room.
“is that noah?” nate asks you, confused if he heard the little voice correctly. before you can respond, your son is on nate’s side of the bed and is gently tugging on his strong arm.
“dada!” the little boy exclaims, a smile lighting up his face as nate scoops him up and places him on his chest. noah snuggles in for a moment before pulling back to look at nate. “no sad, dada. no.” noah shakes his head, pressing his little hands into nate’s cheeks which are still covered with scruff. “ah! scwatchies!”
nate laughs, the joyful sound filling your heart with so much love. a tough loss hurts but somehow your son has the magic touch of always cheering your husband up.
“sorry, noah. scratchies are still there. but i’m not sad. how can i be with you here? and mommy too!” nate replies, tickling noah’s sides to which he giggled loudly.
“dada!” noah practically squeals and you can feel it right then, the sadness and pressure and disappointment that has been hanging over nate since that final buzzer is gone. all because of the little boy you both love so much.
“you win next.” noah says simply, settling against nate’s chest again. nate’s sweet smile never falters as he kisses the top of his son’s head, smoothing back his messy red, blonde hair.
“thanks for making sure i’m not sad, bud. and next year, i’ll win the cup for you, okay? for you and mommy.” nate promises, looking over at you with so much love in his blue eyes.
“mhm, no sad now.” noah mumbles, slowly falling back asleep in the comfort of his father’s arms. you can’t help but smile at the scene, leaning your head against nate’s shoulder.
“i love you.” you say quietly to both your boys. and as you fall asleep together, you dream of nate winning another cup and sharing the exciting moment with your little family.
in this verse’s timeline, nate wins his second cup the year when the twins are born which would be about a year after this so HEHE

Playlist Countdown to the Title
My Big Resurrection Event fic isn't dropping until July 26th, so in the meantime I thought it'd be fun to do a little countdown! I've said it before, but I feel like this event is our fandom's Cannes, so I think we should make our own red carpets. Life is too short (and love is too long) to not hype your own creations :)
Given that the title of my fic is pulled from the lyrics of the first track on my playlist for it (all lowercase, with parenthesis, naturally), I decided to pull some of my other favorite lyrics from the playlist to post throughout the day.

I saw your post reblogging about mythological creatures from other cultures that have been "creepy pasta'd" for lack of a better terms.
You mentioned how one that was tagged and censored "shouldn't be named" and I was hoping you could explain more???
Taanshi! I'm happy to provide. Please note I can only speak from the perspective of my peoples, the Cree & Michif, so it's very possible there are variations from different nations across Turtle Island.
The creature that was mentioned, often portrayed as an "undead" skull-headed beast, is part of a story with deep protocol involved. This protocol is important because the creature is said to be a very dark, twisted spirit, and even invoking its name brings bad medicine unto the speaker and those around them.
The Cree story discusses that this spirit possesses humans and leads them to commit atrocious acts, so we often try to avoid catching its attention in any way we can. The same can be said for the other creature mentioned in the initial post -- a shape-changing figure that brings about bad medicine if not handled correctly.
Unfortunately in this contemporary age, it's beyond possible to rein in and protect our sacred stories like these two, but it is not beyond possible to bring information to those who encounter the stories out in the wild. These creatures, these legends, myths, and teachings, are all an important organ in a very real, very alive body of people. So while we're still here -- at least while I still exist -- it feels right to remind those who're listening that our stories (and by extension, the people they belong to) are not free for the taking. They weren't ever free in that way, but history has shown a deep lack of respect that nearly cost Indigenous culture its life and memory. Not anymore.
Anyways, hope that clears things up a bit for you!

Well first I was going to ask about your favorite link and then I saw it was Sky. Then I was going to ask about fluffy headcanons and I saw you lean into angst.

My favorite color is yellow :D
I do have some fluffy headcannons, I mainly lean into angst cause writing fluff to me always involves hurting someone first.
Let's see, Sky's preferred cuddle pile is Himself, then Wind then Twilight, Twilight's wolf pelt keeps him and the sailor warm and he feels like he can protect the sailor (Who totally doesn't need protecting but will grumpily lean into cuddles) when the smallest is sandwiched between himself and Twilight.
Oh, and Sky totally fakes being tired or sick to get cuddles from the links who ain't as cuddly. He's managed to get hugs from warriors, Time and legend this way.
Cuddly head cannons are the best
