Kaeyappreciation post!

Kaeya is wonderful in a sense that he:

Has a penmanship described as "Beautiful Handwriting". He for sure worked on that.

Willingly spends his time making sure his outfit looks perfect

Is well-loved by Mondstadt and the Dawn Winery staff

Is described to like a prince, both in looks and in actions

Is shown to be gentle and caring to children and elderly, most seen with Klee and the staff from Dawn Winery

Is a great listener and, therefore, also knows what gifts to buy based off of something someone said in passing

Is predominantly kind- unafraid to help out and defend someone in need. His first reaction is always kindness, and worry about covering up that kindness later on

But Kaeya also has his moments where he:

Says things out of pocket with enough alcohol in his system. Things that usually lead to shame and regret.

Would rather give others the credit for his hard work if he could help it

Intentionally makes himself look suspicious by withholding information and only throwing tidbits that are not of substance

Has sadist tendencies, which affects how he treats both his (cavalry) company and his enemies

Can and will use underhanded tactics to gain the upper hand

Rarely ever says what he truly wants to say

Has a fake smile. Usually lies or only deals with half truths.

He is such a complex character. I really do want people to appreciate him and his intricacies more. The fact that his entire personality and story is done so well and continues to actually grow and expand as the story progresses is something that genuinely makes me want to keep watch of him. I have never, in all my fandoms, stuck to a character as long as I did with Kaeya, and honestly? I know I'm not alone with this.

"Hello? Ojisan? Are you home?" No answer. She stood idle in the entryway for a bit, waiting, before finally shifting her feet out of her sandals, and stepping into the house. Her uncle's home wasn't more than a stone's throw from the one that the hokage and his family lived in at the heart of the Senju compound. It was smaller, though. Hardly built to accommodate a family. Instead it housed only Tobirama, and a wast and every growing collection of knowledge that must have been organized somehow, surely. But as Kaname walked carefully through it, whatever system he had in place was beyond her understanding. She nonetheless curiously eyed scrolls and books as she passed them on her way deeper into the house, temptation to study them further making the young woman's fingers itch, listening for any response.

"Ojisan? It's Kaname!" She called again, fingers playing with the braided cord around the two scrolls in her hand; the reason she was there. Disappointments and ever so slight annoyance furrowed her brow. Maybe he really wasn't home after all?

"I sure hope nobody gets in trouble with the peacekeepers this new year." Yeah, he's hoping for that.

He moved through the streets of the town as he followed both his nose and the directions his friend had given him. There was a newer bakery in town and he wanted to check it out, having a soft spot for that type of food. He stopped and asked someone if he was close to it, asking for final guidance to the door. He ducked into the door, more out of habit. Japan was not built for people his size, and he had come to that realization within his first few months of living in the country. He listened to the clink of the bell as he opened up the door. The sound was followed by the tapping of his cane, helping him find his way through the open store. He could smell the flour and spices used in the breads, as well an almost palpable sweetness in the air from the sugar and pastries from the baker's cooking. It reminded him of his Abuela's kitchen when he was younger, she always had a pie or some form of bread in her oven. He swore that if he hadn't become a teacher, he would have probably ended up as a baker. "Excuse me, is there someone around? I need a little help with some of the selection."

So that new jimmy solidarity episode huh.

Meme Pokemon world means Meme traveling companions for Ash but I've only figured out one so far: Hatsune Fucking Miku herself.

She has a Farfetch'd as her Starter because of course she does, and is on her Pokemon Journey to get inspiration for her music. They met when Ash saved her from a bunch of Team Chungus Grunts (because Meme Pokemon world also means Meme evil teams) who wanted to kidnap a celebrity and hold them for ransom. The fact that the world's most popular synthetic pop star and the World Champion (who is also the Universal Avatar and Legendary Chosen One) are traveling together would draw a lot of attention except they're also a couple of dumb hyperactive teenagers so most people are too distracted by their antics to properly make the connection between Ash and Miku the traveling Pokemon Trainers and Ash Ketchum and Hatsune Miku the celebrities.

The SMGs aren't part of the main travel group since 29 usually has her hands full keeping the Internet Graveyard in line and 30 decided to be one of Professor Oak's lab assistants since staying in Pallet Town gives him a more stable internet connection and he's got that whole Mad Scientist Thing going on.

The mage was asking the hard questions while cleaning the staff in question very carefully. Maybe he should add some new ribbons to it later? Hmm. Decisions, decisions.

"More importantly, do you think it likes me? Or do you think it's only letting me use it until a better mage comes around?"

Zane rubbed his cold hands together under the table, not even the heat of his coffee could warm his chilled bones this winter. He supposed that was normal though, at least in his circle of friends and that reminded him of a question he'd long been burning to ask Sib. "Do you think its weird that like people who are different live here?" he blurted out before he had the chance to swallow his nerve. "Like you--and Mavis-- and Maddox... I don't know..." he mumbled glancing around the room. "I think sometimes like if we all lived somewhere else-- we'd be outcasts right?"

Without giving too much of a pause, she confides. "Sheldon hates animals. That's why we don't have any pets." Bouncing on her toes she adds, "a chicken once made Sheldon run into a mailbox on his bike." Of course, she had been chasing him with said chicken; but those little details scantly seemed to deter the young girl. "It was super funny. Guess you had to be there."
