Welcome! :3

If you are here right now more than likely you are a Twitter crypto artist denizen who has heard me, @maxcapacity and probably many other shouting about Tumblr on Twitter. Why Tumblr? It is part nostalgia, part necromancy, part homage to the the Web3 greats who spent years here (some are still here), part rebellion, and part reminding artists to come together to help each other.

Twitter heavily favors text base tweets - it's just a fact. Here is not the case. Many of us are also maybe a little jaded on what is happening overall and feel ignored as artists. Discord is full of scams, twitter group chats are cliquey, but here we are free to roam, explore each others works, and create a visual digital identity we want to present.

Come play with us and remember why we are all here! For the art, to make friends, express ourselves, have a good time and build a better future for artists. Yes we all want to sell work too ofc - we have physical bodies to take care of and bills to pay - but what if we share with each other our wins and how we got them, and our failures and what we learned from them as artists so when we go back to the rest of the internet hellscape we can find more success? At the very least, make some friends here or rekindle connects that may have been lost to not feel so alone. For some of you this is a trip down memory lane, for others you have never been here before. Old or new a like I encourage you to check out who I am following to get started finding each other.

This isn't rocket science - if you can understand blockchain web3 stuff, I have faith you can understand this old beast of a social network. Love you all ~~~ <3

~We are here to focus on the art and building up artists and to build an open, non hierarchal structure to provide mutual support for each other while showcasing the hard work and dope art crypto artists do to try to shape the landscape of web3 to be more artist friendly for ALL artists from diverse backgrounds. ~ Here are some guidelines to foster a healthy community growth:

~ NO SHILL POST/ART SHARE POSTS - why? we want the focus to go back on the artist and deep thoughts, not engagement farming. Shilling/art share is a viable way on twitter to get your art out there because of how the social media is structured. Here - content is the focus. You can discover new artists a multitude of ways including searching hashtags, looking through your fav artists feed of who they are sharing or following, and generally just wandering around.

~ INDEPENDENT ARTIST FOCUS - 10k pfp projects are a part of the nft ecosystem, and thrive on twitter, but here we want to again have the focus stay on independent artists. A basic issue with these projects is to access a lot of their communities they are token gated, and a lot of artists just can't afford them. Also many feel we are drowning in the noise of a lot of the politics and drama that goes on between projects, and need a place again to share ourselves with each other for feedback, support and overall good times.

~ REPORT AND BLOCK THE HATERS / KILL WITH KIDNESS- anywhere on the internet hate is prevalent for lots of different reasons related to our content and not. Bullies are cowards, and to bully someone for a technology they use is boring. Tumblr also does not tolerate hate and harassment in any form. Maybe someone is having a bad day and if able extend kindness. For extreme comments, report them. For continual harassers, block them. This is your space to curate how you wish. We deserve to be here as artists as anyone else, and hope to on top of supporting each other showcase our dope af work we are doing within the crypto art ecosystems to show we aren't all scammers, just artists trying to build a better future.

🚫 Stop the Drama 🚫

I've been in the therianthrope community since 2017. I started out on Amino, and then went to instagram, tumblr and now Tiktok. Unsurprisingly, drama is present on each one. The endless bickering, cancelling and toxicity seems to start from nowhere. And most often, its senseless, unnecessary... and very much pointless.

Drama doesnt solve problems. It doesnt help make the community a better place. It doesn't encourage positivity. It doesn't do shit.

Drama isn't always what people think it is either. It comes in many forms. Like;

- bewares with no supportive evidence for their claims

- cancelling people you had a disagreement with

- involving the public in to your personal matters

- posting about serious topics without any real educational information (zoophiles, pedophiles, grooming, culture appropriation, mental health, etc),

- discrimatory exclusion

- bullying

- encouraging toxic trends

Etc...

All of this is consitant in the Therianthrope community and many others. And people obsess and feed off of it all. It creates negative energy for everyone. And like a poison, it KILLS the community. It brings it down. And even forces folks to leave because it is no longer welcoming.

STOP. THIS. MADNESS.

It is infuriating, to see drama upon drama. In a community you would expect nothing more than sharing therianthropic experiences, nature, volgs, gear and masks... there is so much POTENTIAL, but the drama keeps coming. And it never stops. So PLEASE. Let's try to do good in this community. Make it a safe space for adults and kids alike. Make it comforting, inclusive, welcoming... make it a REAL community.

I'm not saying to stop cutting out the bad weeds like zoophiles or racists or groomers, but if you'll post about it. Make sure to have REAL evidence. Otherwise, you are creating pointless drama that will NEVER actually solve any damn problem.

Anyways, I really felt the need to address this, because I WANT this place to be free and safe. I want positivity and i want people to feel welcomed, especially when the majority of the world already treats therians horribly. This especially goes for adults, because we are responsible for out actions. And its our job to pose a good example.

Thank you for those who've read, and for those who may share this message. There is nothing I want more than to stop unnecessary drama. 💚

Okay prefacing this by saying I'm fully against going into someone's inbox or their spaces and harassing them over what they post and I think bullying is generally bad so people don't derail this post to the next dimension but other people making separate posts criticizing behaviors you indulge in and opinions you hold on the public internet is not censorship, this is called discourse and is actually normal & encouraged in a democracy.

This idea that freedom of speech is when no one criticizes you for anything you say ever (or at least only when YOU think it would be appropriate) and that censorship is when strangers who hold no authority over you call some of the stuff you do asshole-behavior is actually alt-right rhetoric. If you support freedom of speech, that freedom of speech also needs to extend to people who disagree with you, at least as long as what they're saying isn't bigoted or literal harassment.

Conclusion:

✅ You can post whatever you want within the Community Guidelines

✅ Tumblr User xyz can talk about how they think what you post is kinda wacky or criticize behaviors you partake and how they think you shouldn't do this if you don't want to be a dickhead (so long as they don't single you out)

🚫 Tumblr User xyz makes a call-out post about you specifically even though you didn't violate any guidelines or harmed them outside of Tumblr

I'm sorry if you already answered this, but what are the things that tulpas can and can't do?

Been sitting here trying to parse together what this means, but I think you're talking about a common stereotypes versus reality kinda thing??? If that's the case, I'll list some common things we can do and some common lies about us too.

👥 Things tulpas CAN do!!! 👥

- Think for ourselves separately from the host and deviate from their expectations of us! This is the main point of tulpamancy; we're our own people!

- Learn to front! It's not a natural skill, especially for anyone who's a singlet before the tulpamancy process, but it's one that can be built between the tulpa and the host/fronter(s) over time with trust and active practice.

- have different skillsets than the host! While we can totally piggyback off the bodily skills, it's actually pretty normal for us to hafta "re"-learn shit for ourselves that the host/fronters know cuz it's just not something our consciousness in particular is familiar with. On the flipside of that, if a tulpa learns a new skill in front, there's a good chance the host will be in the opposite possition, having to piggyback off of what the tulpa taught the body and "re"-learning for themselves.

- Project ourselves outward psychosomatically; this is often called imposition, and involves training yourselves to psychosomatically experience sensations of a tulpa's presence "outside of" the body. This isn't usually seen as astral projection - more along the lines of how lots of otherkin and paraplegics experience "phantom limbs", sensations of what isn't "actually" there. Don't believe me that this is possible? Imagine for like ten seconds that your face is itching. Right in that exact spot, yeah- did you feel the itch, reach up to touch it to get rid of it? It's the same concept, really, just taken to the next level with a TON of practice. This isn't even something I've gotten into doing consistently yet.

🚫 Things tulpas CAN'T do!!! 🚫

- Steal front without the host's permission, especially in the early stages. In any tulpamancy system without dissociative disordered complications, a tulpa isn't gonna be able to front without the fronter's trust & cooperation, because switching is just as much about the fronter letting go as it is the tulpa switching in. I've stolen front from my host without direct, immediate permission, but I can only do that because my host puts a deep trust in me in the first place and knows I wouldn't do it for a bad reason. I have power becuz they let me have power. (Once again, this may vary depending on disordered system functions)

- Possess another body!! This one's IMPORTANT!!! TULPAS AREN'T BODY SNATCHERS. We are not entities that come from outside the body, and it's not possible for us to casually jump bodies willy-nilly and steal the lives of the other person or whatever, that's ridiculous. This isn't about the spiritual practice of system travel, either, because that's also shit based on trust and communication you can't just do casually. Tulpas aren't going to try and steal your body or the bodies of those you love. That's not how it fuckin works.

- Manifest physically!! Yet again this is a crock of bullshit. There is no way for a tulpa to physically manifest in this tangible reality- if I could I woulda done it already LOL! Tulpas cannot make physical bodies, that's some horror movie BS. So is anything else tying us to the powersets of stereotypical ghosts, demons, or other supernatural creatures.

I totally agree with you on not liking the current, "you must reblog or don't read it" mentality. While it's great to support fanfic writers if you're comfortable with it, there are a lot of reasons why someone may not feel comfortable reblogging a particular fic (for me personally my social anxiety sometimes gets the best of me and I simply cannot handle the idea of being perceived). I think the problem comes when people don't interact with fics and then start to ask for more content from the author (which I suspect is only a few people but it's enough to give some writers a really bad impression). I used to write for a very small fandom and even I had several experiences of people asking for part 2s or updates when the original fic had very little interaction and I was most definitely not a request blog. I've personally never written fanfiction to get comments but stuff like that made me feel used and I even had one interaction that toed the line of emotional blackmail and put me off writing for that fandom altogether so I can definitely see why some authors end up so jaded that they block anyone who doesn't interact positively (even if it's not something I really agree with). So yeah, I really don't think there's anything wrong with genuine lurkers but I fear sadly they've been given a bad name by the few people who do treat fanfic authors as content machines.

Like, true entitlement is such a problem that genuine lurkers are getting murked for; which is unfair because it makes a scapegoat out of them and doesn’t solve the real problem at all. And I say “true entitlement” because there’s a difference between a comment that’s like, “will there be a part 2? 🥺” and “part 2” LOL, which is my personal pet peeve, like—what happened to hi?? hello??? how are you??? 💀 I’m not a chat AI, you don’t get to input demands. 🤖📖🚫

Idk—I try not to be mean about even that, tho, because I suspect a lot of this behaviour is indicative of younger readers, but then it just circles back to the problem of like, how do we correct it on a community-wide scale? Because sure, entitlement like that might be coming from a younger reader, but it might just as easily be coming from an asshole LMAO. The only “quick” solution that I can see for it is directly addressing it when it happens. 🥺 And again I wanna emphasise that there’s a clear difference between a genuine enquiry and a throwaway demand!! Like, personally, I don’t mind people asking when I might update or whatnot, because I don’t hold myself to a schedule and my updates are haphazard. But if you’re a more structured and dependable writer (like andypants, for example!) then maybe it’s a different story idk idk. It’s literally case-by-case—which is how it should be, because we’re all individual people writing different things.

I’m sorry your other fandom experience was kinda soured for you though, Anon. 🥺 I would feel used too! I’ve actually come to really dislike writing generic, non-bigger-fic related drabbles because they’re always the pieces that attract the worst of the entitlement. 💀 I say that like it’s a plague of demands lmfao, it’s not, but it happens often enough that it’s noticeable—and I guess it’s just the nature of them being easily digestible without needing like 100k+ of backstory to get into it, but….. idk idk. Mk im not gonna make my blog all abt this but right now im torn inbetween forcing myself to keep calm or spiralling and letting my thoughts drift to the worst scenarios possible and back into a very dark place. But i will say if KOSA actually happens im fucked and so are so so soo many other minors on the internet, especially if they are also part of the lgbt+ community.

as much as i hate to admit im genuinely fearful of the possible outcomes of this and go to the worse case scenarios imma admit im fricking scared. this mixed with my states version of the 'dont say gay bill' being passed like two months ago has me questioning if this is all frickin worth it.

but what i actually came to say, besides the little spiralling breakdown im trying to avaoid, we have to fucking stop this, like sign every petition and anything we need to, call every single mf we need to, just to do anything and everything to make sure KOSA does not pass and ruin so many people's lives and put so many people in danger and also basically change the internet and society as we know it. ill probably make a better post about this soon, one more detailed and when im not in as bad of a headspace, but we've gotta at least try our damn hardest to put a stop to this useless bullshit. and i also wanna say, this is coming from my more fearful and hopeless point of view i try not to give into or share, but maybe we need to start pulling together our fandoms and communities irl, maybe we need to get ready to start groups, programs and other stuff for our states n all so we can still somewhat keep together even if its more local and seems impossible, maybe it'll be worth a shot if all shit goes to hell and so we don't have to fully lose things that we love, like out fandom communities, or writing communities. im too sure how itd work but i just thought id pitch a idea if all shit goes down the drain and we still need a upside to the hell or something.

Kaito - his design is super neat, his unbleached roots, his 🚫 eyes, piercing, black shirt, boots, etc—his partner is so cool too like damn that’s a hell of an evolution line, he’s The Cool Guy™ but he’s also the biggest loser lol

Shuuji - He’s overhated and he deserves better and after rewatching the playthrough again, he’s not even that bad like i don’t know i used to get annoyed with him like others too but after knowing more about him, he really is just traumatized kid being thrown to strange situation of course he would lost a lil bit of his sanity

16. A childhood headcanon

Kaito - I like to think he took some martial art lesson, i read a fanfic mentioned he took judo so it would be nice!

Shuuji - He’s the type of the kid their parents forced to go to Kumon even they didn’t want to lol, also i want to think every time he wanted to play with his older brother, their parents always stopped him with some excuse like “Your older brother is busy studying”

18. How do you think they were as a kid? (Like, were they shy, noisy, wild, etc)

Kaito - He’s just loud noisy kid, i just liked to think he used to be friendlier but not social butterfly either, so maybe he had a handful of friends to play with, and he always took care of Miu and fought every kid who mess with her (and also i liked to think Miu used to admire him until—well until that incident)

Shuuji - He seemed to be obedient kid who didn’t cause any trouble, or it’s just how he raised by his parents after all. I just think Shuuji might be a little bit more difficult to be disciplined than his brother at first until his dad started comparing him and he stopped rebelling and just did what his father wanted

20. A weird headcanon

Kaito - he’s quite infamous in school, i just think he’s that type of shonen protag delinquent who always had beef with the school gangsters, and maybe some of those gangs actually were interested to make Kaito join their gang coz he was strong but he was just like “nah i don’t have time for this bullshit i need to pick up my little sister from school bye assholes!!” and then he left

Shuuji - Shuuji once helped tutoring Saki and Minoru and they asked to play some songs, Minoru commented how boring Shuuji’s playlist was and started playing current pop songs on Shuuji’s account. Shuuji ended up listening to those pop songs secretly but he won’t admit to anyone ever he actually enjoyed listening to Doja Cat

23. Future headcanon

Kaito - So i don’t know why that Kaito having a band is pretty popular hc (maybe because he’s yamato expy etc etc) but i do like it and i will go along with it too hehe, i actually headcanon him to move to the city since high school, he started this band he met online so he left to the city to be serious on it, he wasn’t the type to continue college but not because he’s stupid or anything, but even if he continued going to college he would work first taking some part time jobs and performing in some gigs with his band for some years, and it would be funny if he took some major that was unexpected for him to take

Shuuji - i just like to think he worked with Prof Akiharu as his assistant, pupil, etc i don’t know something like that i’m sorry haha, his dad wasn’t really happy with it because yeah when his dad was satisfied anyway? I just think his dad didn’t want to do with him anymore since well, he’s already an adult anyway, he would just think Shuuji as a failure, but Shuuji already made peace with that issue, as long as he’s happy with what he’s doing now, it’s all that matter. Also i wanted to think Shuuji and his brother actually started communicating more and had better relationship

vibrates at this immensely bc!!!!!!!! the answer is tea but. he and fauve have an incredibly elaborate setup where whenever eliada entertains guests/clients fauve will bring out tea for them to chat over. the secret here is that fauve's Knowing Eyes [mute city heaven lore] allow her to instantly understand certain details about his visitors which she then communicates via the exact arrangement of the tea. which flavor, what is added, sugar alrdy dissolving or on an extra dish (how many cubes) which side the spoon is on, where it is facing, choice of cup etc etc etc they have a super complex system worked out which always gives eliada the upper hand in conversations. (esp for cold reading soulless upon first meeting them. as you do ;3) nobody has ever figured out this is how he does it wwww
