In general – I’m a one-stop-shop for all things whump and angst! I don’t shy away from writing about graphic injuries, torture, illnesses, violence, body horror, mental anguish, verbal, physical, and psychological abuse, toxic relationships, medical themes, caretaking, healing, somewhat realistic wound care, gentle comfort:), misunderstandings, romance, slash, cringe flirting, Gale’s dialogue lines, arguments and fights, infidelity, non-graphic and graphic sex, pregnancy, death, religion, self-worth, consent, and body image issues, and so on…

While what I have listed here is mostly horrible stuff (like cringe flirting;), I can also write about subjects far removed from torment and anguish. That being said, I usually write my fics with a happy or hopeful ending:)

I also like to keep my work spoiler-free if possible. This might change in the future though, when I exhaust all my spoiler-free ideas.

What won’t I write?

Incest, underage characters in sexual situations, CNC or rape exclusively as a kink, and some other things that give me the ick but I can’t think of at the moment.

🎟️ SEXUALITY HEADCANON: Bisexual, but he doesn't use the label. He's too old to give a shit.

⚧️ GENDER HEADCANON: Veld is very solidly cisgender, never questioned it, never thought about it.

💕 A SHIP: The OTP is VinVeld, and that's pretty much the only way I ship Veld with anyone. I've done AUs where he had a sort of on-and-off situationship with Grimoire (it's complicated) but it was more of a FWB thing.

🖇️ A BROTP: Veld+Reeve! They have an understanding, although it takes a while to get there. Veld has some issues with Reeve—they're really similar people at their core, Reeve was just allowed to be soft in a way that Veld never was and it makes them seem more different than they are. He doesn't like that Reeve was kinda with Vincent for a bit, and has some mixed feelings about Reeve eventually marrying Tseng (because Tseng is basically Veld's kid and what born-in-the-late-40s father approves of their kid's spouse?) but he supports him in everything he does with the WRO and beyond.

🚫 A NOTP: Veld/Literally Any Other Turk Aside From Vincent. No shade to people that ship it, and I do believe that there are a couple people in the department that definitely harbored one-sided feelings for their director, but I see his side of the relationship with all of them to be strictly familial.

💭 A RANDOM HEADCANON: Veld is Genesis' sire the same way that Vincent is Sephiroth's; Turks were selected as breeding stock by Gast at the onset of the Jenova Project for a myriad of reasons, and Veld's magical aptitude in particular was hoped to be a heritable trait. (It was.) Veld never finds out that this is the case, even after Genesis comes back and winds up signing on with the WRO, in spite of the fact that Genesis knows beyond any doubt.

🗣️GENERAL OPINION: I think I'm one of the first people in the English-speaking fandom to take an interest in Veld, way back in '05 when we found out he existed in the first place, and he's had a special place in my heart for a long time. I feel like fandom does him dirty because they take his profile at face value (a lot of people misunderstand the whole "abhors failure" thing and use it as proof that he's an abusive tyrant when he's never shown to be anything of the sort), but I will always love a complicated DILF who kills for a living.
