Headcanon that all of the boys think someone else is Splinter’s favorite son.

Raph thinks it’s Leo, Leo thinks it’s Donnie, Donnie thinks it’s Mikey, and Mikey thinks it’s Raph.

They’re all bothered by this to different degrees and in different ways, some much less/more so than others, but they’re all wrong, Splinter does not have a favorite son, and never has. And when he tells them this, horrified they even thought otherwise and angry at himself for not being clearer with his love, it clears up some residual tension they didn’t even realize was there.

(Leo still thinks he’s the least favorite though.)

Okay, not too long ago I was messing around with C.AI and I was talking to Anton as Gustavo (wanted to see what he thought of Gus-) and the ass-hole kept calling him The Monopoly Man from the way I described him. He also kept calling him short names which I thought was kinda funny but I think someone like Gustavo would get a bit upset after a while…don’t you think?

My brain is too mushy right now to write a proper meta but. Do you guys also see the significance of Johanna’s characterization in that clip we got. It’s beyond just ‘oh, funny, she’s being chaotic now!’ (Even though it is). This is the confirmation of five years worth of theories that this is Johanna’s default behavior, this is her modus operandi. It’s the confirmation that she’d been dialing herself down since becoming a mother because she thought that that’s what she had to be for Hilda, and that after TMK that inner conflict of hers got resolved. It’s confirmation (pretty much, though this whole post works on ‘pretty much’ basis) that she used to be just like her daughter and do the most insane things imaginable. That she probably had a childhood that looked just like Hilda’s, adventure wise.

Yknow, I love Orufrey and if their relationship develops into an undeniably romantic one, I’ll be the first to be on board, but I also really really enjoy reading their relationship and feelings for each other as completely platonic because as an aroace person… they kinda have what I want tbh (minus, yknow, the angst elephant that’s ch 40)
