You’re scrolling through social media on the couch when you hear Lee Know’s voice from the other room.

 “Love, have you seen my jacket?” He says while looking through his closet. Little does he know, you’re wearing his jacket right now. He walks into the living room, where you are, and he spots you wearing his jacket. “(Name), give it back.” He says like the tired mother he is. 

“No! I like this jacket. It’s comfy.” You reply petulantly. “It’s comfy, and it’s mine.” 

He says, as if explaining a very simple rule to a child who doesn’t understand it. You stick your tongue out at him and continue to scroll on Instagram. “Hey, don’t ignore me. Give it back.” You giggle and reply “Nope.” 

He suddenly grabs your phone and holds it above his head. “Hey!” You exclaim and stand up to try and get your phone back. However, he’s taller than you and you can’t really reach your phone when he’s holding it above his head like that. 

“See? How do you like it when someone takes your stuff, huh?” You pout and he chuckles. Give me my jacket and I will give you your phone. Deal?” You sigh and reply. 

“Fine. I admit defeat.” He gives you your phone, but you don’t give him his jacket. You run around the house as Lee Know tries to catch you and get his jacket back. Eventually you run into the bedroom and he catches you. 

You both fall onto the bed, laughing. “Give me my jacket, princess.” You giggle and reply. “Not a chance, pretty boy.” 

He suddenly gets a rather mischievous look on his handsome face. “Y’know… you’d look a lot better without that jacket.”

the soft sounds of the dialogue and faint light from the television fill the room as your boyfriend's firm arm pulls you in closer, letting out a content sigh and keeping his gaze on the illuminated screen. for the past few hours, you'd been having a cute little at-home movie marathon date with him, cuddled up with the thick blanket draped over you both as you lay in bed together.

currently, you're watching some cliche romcom that heeseung "hated" doing, reasoning that romcoms are boring and corny; he ended up sitting through it and a few more romcoms because, sweetly, he loves you and would sit through anything just to be with you.

although he continued to make snarky remarks at cringy scenes, you found it adorable how he so easily got heated up over a drawn out kiss scene or an unreasonable choice a character makes. he actually seemed to be enjoying himself despite his constant bitching and sarcastic comments; you could even swear you had caught him grinning widely at one of the "cringy" scenes. 

"just kiss already, damn it! they obviously like each other, what are they waiting for?" he exclaims, his eyebrows furrowing in his frustration.

"calm down, babe. we still have half an hour left," he groans and looks down at you with a worn expression, as if begging you to do something to magically make the couple in the film get together faster.

you laugh at how worked up he's gotten again and lean into his chest, going back to watching the movie as he calms down enough to pull you back in and stay quiet, for now.

as yet another melodramatic kiss scene shows on screen, he looks down at you, grumbling and leaning down against you. the space between the two of your faces is almost nonexistent.

"mm, baby, these movies are so cheesy and overdramatic.. we should show them how it's really done," he suggests in a hushed voice, closing the gap and connecting your lips with his in a soft but lasting kiss. 

it was nothing too intense, but the way he ever so gently caressed the side of your face and his soft lips on yours kept it lingering and made you long for more even after your lips parted from each other.

everything else became background noise and your surroundings faded to black; it felt like you two were the only two people in the universe at this moment and you could almost hear a romantic song in the background. it felt like a movie, except it was so much better because it was you and your lover. your lover who you treasured and adored more than anything in the world.

"my precious girl," he mumbles at a volume only for you to hear. he tucks a strand of hair straying away behind your ear and smiles at you lovingly with a look of genuine affection and endearment. “i love you so much, you know that, right?”

he never failed to bring a stupid smile on your face and turn your cheeks red in the blink of an eye. you look at him fondly and plant another enduring kiss on his lips, forgetting about the movie altogether.

A figure peeks into the bedroom. The only light in the room is the light of the clock, ticking it’s digital numbers into the night.

”Honey?” Jun whispers into the darkness in which silence replies. You keep your mouth shut, not replying to make it seem you are asleep. A few seconds pass before he closes the door.

Okay, you don’t have a problem or something, in fact you adored sleep. It just eventually became a habit of yours to wait until Jun arrives home to actually close your eyes. Despite other people’s comments and even Jun himself telling you not to.

”I love you, but no need.” He had said with a smile one day. A silent nudge to tell you to get some damn sleep.

Tonight, like any other one, just as you hear the door knob click and the footsteps of Jun quietly going to the bathroom, your eyelids instantly feel heavier and sleepiness start to take over your body. Fluffing your pillow and snuggling closer into the warmth of the bed you slowly drift off to dreamland.

The clock strikes 2 AM when the mattress dips from his weight. Work those days had been weighing him down and he rarely gets to see you. His heart honestly did flutter at your gesture to wait for him before sleeping but he knew it wasn’t good for you. The way you found ways of still showing him affection despite his hard career, he loved so much!

Jun, hair damp, chest bare, shifts on the cold bedsheets. His quiet breathing fill the dark room as he lays on his side, a delicate hand tracing the folds of your pillowcase. He rests a light kiss on your cheekbone, his soft lips leaving a stamp of love on your skin. Your eyes slightly flutter at the sudden movement on the bed and you slowly gain consciousness. His low chuckle sent chills down your spine.

“Let’s be honest, my love.” He intertwines your hands with his and kissed each of your knuckles. “Your sleeping act isn’t the best.”

A sleepy hum of protest answers him as you bury your face on the bed.

“If I go home early tomorrow, you’ll sleep early, deal?”

“Watch She’s Dating A Gangster with me then?” You whisper.

He sends out a hum of agreement, “Whatever your wish.” He kisses your forehead, in between your eyebrows.

8/10 times do you get to have these moments, a little key highlight of your nights. It calmed you– knowing he came through the front door alive and well, being able to survive another day. That’s what lulled you to sleep and comforted you on hectic nights.
