So you are very vocal on the war on palestine, which is commendable. However, condemning other people who dont to the same is non- sensical. Do you know how many humanitarian issues we have in this world at all times you have never spoken up for? Nobody expects people to rally for Sudan and people who stay quiet on topics such as this arent condemned. So, go forward with your activism but unless you speak out on all other humanitarian issues you have no ground to critizise people who dont partake in what YOU think is important.
context: this is an ofmd fan upset i called taika waititi & co zionists and said you shouldn't support them
this isn't a "humanitarian issue" it's a genocide backed by your government and payed for with your taxpayer dollars and 24,000 people have been killed. silence IS complicity. what twisted logic is "there are other crises going on so i will do nothing"? also yeah man i'm not an expert on every world issue but if someone told me hey the person/people you're supporting are profiting off the sudanese genocide i would stop fucking supporting them as the bare minimum what is WRONG with you

Something I really don't understand are the assumptions people on the side Israel seem to hold about everyone who is free Palestine, I.E. that we don't think the hostages should be returned or that we think all Israeli citizens deserve to die for the crimes of their government. Like I'm sure there are people who think that, which is gross and frankly unacceptable, but the fact that they approach everything said in support of Palestine from that angle isn't okay either. All that they are doing is trying to simplify everything in a way that makes Israel the indisputable victim and everyone who opposes them into an antisemitic monster when the reality is that most of us just believe in the value of ALL human life and don't think more than 23,000 peoples lives are acceptable collateral damage. Like we just think that Palestinian civilians should have basic access to food, water, healthcare, and shelter and should not be facing arrest just for being Palestinian as if that somehow makes them inherently dangerous, where are you getting the batshit assumptions from in statements like that?

on my quest to find more books to read this year, there's been something kind of heartwarming to see that of the books on hold at my local library, or on the weekly bestseller's list at my local bookstores, there's always at least one book up there that's about Palestine. It's at least nice to see that some people in my area want to learn about the historical context of what's happening now, and learn far more than what a few posts on their feed can tell them. It makes me hope that public perception will continue to change for the better - and that the kind of support I've seen in my area won't die down immediately after a ceasefire is called

no y’all don’t get it, the reason Jenna doesn’t connect the dots and figures out that Leverage is secretly being her guardian angels is that the dots connect to make an absolutely ridiculous picture!
Like! She’s very smart and very willing to throw herself into risky situations to do what she thinks is right and I love her, but no matter how clever you are “a bunch of super thieves/vigilantes are also trying to take this guy down and are now secretly helping me by making a bunch of random but not that incredibly unlikely shit happen” is just. like. c’mon. if you say you’d figure that out while in a ridiculously stressful situation in which you constantly put yourself at risk of worst case getting raped and best case losing your job and possibly getting sued, you’re lying.
Yeah the team’s cons are obvious to us! bc we know them! but normal ppl don’t connect “venue shut down bc food poisoning” and “randomly found a singer at a completely different venue” and “there was a fire alarm” bc all those things can in fact happen, for them all to happen in quick succession is random and lucky but it’s not “omg someone is spying on me and??? giving me?????? things i need?”

Im gonna say it
i dont think raping or torturing hostages was in any way furthering the goal of a free palestine. I think Hamas might just be evil.
This does not change the fact that Palestine and its people deserve freedom, of course. Equating Hamas with Palestine is a scare tactic to sell genocide to the west. But Hamas are not your friends.

Even though ACAU Peter doesn’t remember anything from before the kidnapping, he’ll still do things like crack a joke (albeit meaner) during a fight, offer to help carry heavy things, or he’ll make an inside joke but not remember any context or who else it was between, because past-him did it so often it was almost instinct. These moments are super rare though so Matt’s told him to write down when these happen and ask around to regain more of the story of who he was. The day someone mentions “Spidey, how’s your aunt?” he falls off the wall he was sitting on
