This is kind of harddd man 😭 born to say Cherry forced to say Curly. Cherry's a character that we actually saw more of, but I have this idea of Curly in my head that's so perfect to me...he's like half my oc...I'm superrr attached to Cherry but I do have to be real w myself cuz whenever I see Curly's name mentioned in any fic or any post it's like a wild lion sighting i get sooo hype

Oh boy DO I!!!!! I’m gonna organize them in lil bullet point forms cause I have so many thoughts abt them!

Jena:

- Honestly I think it might be a bit weird to say but I think she was the westerosi equivalent of a goth skater girl. Like, there’s probably some old painting of her in Blackhaven as a teenager where she has dyed black streaks in her hair and way too much eyeshadow with a medieval skateboard (horse). I need this to be true in my life

- Her betrothal to Baelor I imagine was to ease up relations with the marcher lords since they probably weren’t too happy about the Dornish having a strong influence on the throne. I wouldn’t be surprised if Myriah suggested the match, and they happened to pick Jena because she was the closest to Baelor’s age

- That being said though, their match went pretty well! I mean for a while it was pretty obvious that Jena and Baelor were basically a pr relationship but over time they did come to care for each other! They didn’t really have the slow burn romance that Daeron and Myriah had but they still had some kind of affection

- She did have her kids pretty young, but not really early in the marriage because I have to believe her weird late teens goth angst was why she named her kids Valarr and Matarys of all things or it might kill me

- If I could give her a friendship with any of her sisters in laws it would probably be Aelinor? But they weren’t like friends friends, they were just able to get along pretty well because they grew up in the same region even though their interests are wayyyy different from one another

- Ngl she probably had some crazyyy beef with Dyanna. Like, those ladies could not sit next to each other at the family function cause it either ended with them fighting (mostly about who’s kids are the worst),or them ganging up to bully another noble while absolutely hammered on some of that dornish red

- Also it needs to be said, Jena was probably absolutely a stunt queen when she had to grow out of her goth phase. Like, she went to the Alyssa T school of Being a Bad Bitch because she probably went riding and sailing with her kids all the time while they were still babies. If Baelor had a dragon she’d be bullying him to take her flying literally every day and get it to shit on the roofs of people she doesn’t like. Myriah’s mentality was “Oh I’m gonna be queen so I have to be careful about what I do” while hers was “Whoah I’m gonna be queen I can do (almost) whatever the hell I want!!”

- Unfortunately tho, it’s highly likely she died with her kids during the great Spring Sickness, but to add tragedy for flavour I think she died after both her sons. Rip queen :(

Aelinor:

- Okay so figuring out the whole timeline/relation with her kinda drove me insane, but my theory for the time being is that she’s Elaena’s stepdaughter through Ronnel, which does make her technically cousins with Aerys through marriage? I think she’s still probably a few years younger than him tho

- I also kinda think Elaena’s behind this betrothal a bit tbh- I think Aelinor really liked Elaena but saw her a lot more as a mentor she aspired to be like rather than any kind of surrogate mother figure

- Personality-wise girlie’s a completeee introvert. Like, I think she wants to be social and charming and all that, but she got that social anxiety that makes it so she’s scared to talk to people and spends most of her day inside reading

- For her hobbies….. I can see her being big into reading and research but idk I also really like the idea of her being big into poems, she likes really analyzing people from a distance and writing lil blurbs about them to spend the time. She’d literally rather die than share any of her works with anyone though, even if it’s really flattering to them lol

- So, I think her social circle’s kindaaa limited to the royal family, I think her best friends would be Aerys, Alys and Shiera cause I think that’d be kinda fun (and also I think she had a bit of a thing for Alys cause….. yuh) :)

- She and Aerys probably slept together like, once on their wedding cause they were completely convinced they would only have to do it one time…. They both regretted it

- And ngl despite the Horrors™️, and the whole of house Targaryen dropping like flies I think she was a lilll glad that Aelora was heir? Not because everyone else before her died, mostly due to the fact that she really liked Aelora specifically and maybe liked to pretend she was her daughter whoops

- Anyways my fun lil tragedy for her is that she outlives pretty much everyone she loves <3 she’d still be kicking during Maekar’s reign as a sorta dowager queen but she’s not doing much with that title, I diagnose her with…… death via heart attack while trying to write her will

Alys:

- Honestly this lady reads as a complete social butterfly to me lmao. Like, really bubbly, charismatic, and likeable as a person- I think she came in as a companion for Daenerys and both Daeron and Myriah decided to set her up with Rhaegel just cause she was really kind (and being from a major house definitely didn’t hurt either)

- For hobbies I can absolutely see her as a lady that was just crazy for birds lol- and that’s an interest I could see her bonding with Daeron over! She loves hawking and keeping some pet songbirds and feeding ravens, ngl I could see her and Aelinor working on a giant bird encyclopedia together lol

- When it comes to her and Rhaegel, I don’t think it was really love at first sight? Like, I think they got along and did eventually bond after the twins were born, but they only fell in love a few years into their marriage

- Speaking of the twins though! I really don’t think she was cool with the idea of them marrying, honestly it kinda horrified her but she saw how weirdly close they became and tried to cope by justifying that they’d be better together than apart with other people cause…. Tbh how the hell else can she get over the fact that her own children are marrying when that hasn’t really been the norm for a bit-

- Oh and she was especially nottt at all happy about Daenora marrying Aerion. Since by then I can imagine she’s lost both her husband and oldest children, she would be f u r i o u s that Maekar would even allow her last daughter to marry his craziest son, even if he wasn’t the one who suggested the match in the first place

- Girlie probably didn’t stay after Aerion died, like- she was quick to pack Daenora and Maegor and haul ass back to the Vale. No she didn’t give a flying fuck that they were considering her grandson as heir, they’re living in the Eeryie forever now!

- She did miss Aelinor after she left though (clueless about Aelinor’s kinda gay feelings rip) so the two probably shared a lot of letters, but I think Alys passed not too long after being back in the Vale from….. honestly imma say slipping on a toy and cracking her head open. At least one of these gals gotta have a sorta silly death

Dyanna:

- Ngl she’s probably second to Alys in being one of the sweetest in the group, but she takes NO bullshit from anyone. As stated before, she’s ready to throw down with Jena at the drop of a hat but tries not to start too many fights

- She and Maekar married out of love. To me!!! Like, idk they don’t seem like a politically advantageous match, so in my brain Dyanna was probably the daughter of one of Myriah’s ladies in waiting and the two ended up falling in love as teens cause idkkkkkk that’s kinda cute <3

- As for hobbies: absolutely cracked at weaving. 85% of the decorations at Summerhall are her tapestries and the other 15% are crafts by other artists that she really liked. She probably weaved most of her childrens’ baby clothes herself and regularly gifts handmade crafts to her family and friends

- Idk if she really had a favourite with any of her kids, but I can kinda say for certain that she definitely had a hard time with Aerion because she felt like she needed to be overly strict with him specifically which….. probably maybe perhaps gave Aerion some mommy issues idkkkkkkkk

- I like to think she had a cat at some point too, and when it had kittens she gifted them to each of her kids but they mostly became general household cats over time (except for Egg’s cat, that was his own and it…. Found itself at the bottom of the well whoops-)

- Canonically she died first out of the gang, and the narrative implies that she died giving birth to Rhae but I’m ignoring it because one fic I read a while ago had her die from breast cancer and honestly while it’s still tragic it also makes it so Dyanna’s not reduced to “woman who died in childbirth #67” which gets some originality points from me

The Umbrella Academy Season 3 ☂️

i last week finished watching the third season woo !! i used to be so obsessed with tua after watching season 1 that i even ended up getting all the volumes of the comics 😅 after watching season 3 i also reread all the comics back to back in like one sitting lol (spoilers for both the show and the comics coming up 🫣)

im gonna try my best to not make this sound super confusing when i talk about both season 3 of the show and volume 3 of the comics lol ------------------------------- the comic ---------------------------------so i went into season 3 having not previously read the 3rd volume of the comics meaning i had no idea what would happen, though i did know that the idea of hotel obsidian/oblivion was based off the comics BUT!! i found that the 3rd season of the show practically had nothing to do with the comics other than the title 😭 the plots of the show and comics across all seasons and volumes are both very different and season 3 was the most unlike its corresponding comic. one of the main differences being that the sparrow academy are only introduced at the end of volume 3 of the comics so i honestly dont know where the whole storyline for the 3rd season of the show came from i personally found the plot of the 3rd volume of the comic quite confusing and hard to follow as the perspectives and locations kept changing a lot so im actually rather glad that they chose not to portray the events of this comic in the show. that being said, i did like how each of umbrella siblings had their own storylines/adventures that they were on. probably my favourite storyline in the comics is vanya's ongoing recovery from volume one of the comics and also the pairing of five and allison which happens throughout the comics. i also like that luther and diego's rivalry is present across the comics. ------------------------------- the show --------------------------------- in the show, i find the characters to be much more likeable and more full of personality compared to the comics so season 3 did not disappoint in that respect. it was cool to see aspects of the comics continue to be translated into the show for example allison's reluctance to use her powers is a big thing in both medias AND IM SO GLAD THAT KLAUS FINALLY GOT TO USE THE FULL POTENTIAL OF HIS POWERS IN THE SHOW 😭😭😭 all the other character progression among the umbrella siblings is great as well!!! (we love senior citizen five) i liked the sparrows though some of them did not get much screen time and a few of their powers were a bit lame in my opinion 💀 (marcus and alphonso i am looking at you, sorry not sorry) i love love LOVE fei tho she is sooooo coool and christopher being just a random floating cube is so silly to me plus if you think about it, um some woman gave birth to that?!?!?!?! seeing sparrow ben just get subtly accepted by the umbrella siblings was so sweet like they were lowkey all just so happy to see ben again even if he's different. OH AND SPEAKING OF ACCEPTING!!!!! VIKTOR HARGREEVES 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 madddd props to the producers/writers of the show for giving elliot page a trans character and doing it in such a good way ❤️❤️❤️❤️ im so obsessed with all the different sibling reactions to viktor (also vanya in the comics has short hair sooooooo) ok so a few things i didnt like so much was first of all, luther and sloane romance felt really forced to me and a bittttt weird but ive seen people say that luther was in his himbo era during season 3 so honestly i'll let it slide. secondly there's lila who i disliked in season 2 but then she shows up with stan and i loved stan he was so silly!!!! BUT THEN lila is suddenly actually pregnant😭???? idk man, it gotta hella crazy. um thirdly (this is gonna be a really hot take but hear me out), i know its the whole point of the show and its a reoccurring thing that happens but all this end of the world/apocalypse business is kindaaa boring now 🧍 i guess it does happen differently in each season so its not completely repetitive everytime and i must say that this time was actually my favourite end of the world lol hopefully, the finally season will resolve everything nicely but only time will tell i suppose 👁️👁️. im actually gonna shut up now though because this is getting so long and while i could go on and on about tua im gonna have to stop 😭

omg girl your avatars are so preeeeeetttttyyyyy! i personally think that you should try a cut and go blonde. I went blonde one time and i actually liked it, but i wouldn't recommend going all blonde bc that's just too much maintenance. i've thought about doing a bayalage with blonde color bc it looks nice even when growing out, so its less maintenance. i think you should try, blonde or any color bayalage can never look bad as long as its done by a professional, i've seen ombre/bayalage styles of all colors and its soooooo beautiful no matter what. here are some ideas, ofc depending on your skin tone and face shape, you can alter the cut, style, and color that best suits you, its really teh technique and application that really matters, and the one good and solid thing about bayalage and ombre is that it looks sooooooo damn good and your hair growing out, it will look even better adn more and more natural versus dying your whole entire head.

jimmy, when hes possessing ghost, has red eyes that match his form when hes outside of ghosts body. gavin knows when jimmys possessing ghost, however toast just sees ghost being murderous and goes "ah... hes overly stressed again... perhaps he needs his calming tea ^-^"

when they DO get together, gavin and jimmy agree that itd be kinda weird if they kissed while jimmy was inhabiting ghosts body, so they just have to deal with gavin only feeling a weird pressure on his lips when jimmy kisses him. (like jello...)

also, toast and ghost decide one day to check out an old abandoned house in the middle of nowhere, and... ghost breaks down, because thats where he used to live. yknow... gregory casket. jimmy, instead of immediately possessing him, just... watches. he evaluates some things.

and realizes his demonic urge to kill and destroy has faded. just a tiny bit. hes become... more human. it disgusts him.

(ofc they calm ghost down and ghost comments on how he didnt black out that time. jimmy feels bad about himself because!! hes not supposed to feel sympathy or compassion!!! let alone love!!! ew!! domesticity is gross!! bleh!!)

he complains to gavin about it and they discover that ever since gavin and him have been hanging out more and more, jimmy's power has been... not shrunken, per say, just redirected.

it makes him feel vulnerable.

he lashes out. possesses ghost more often and kills meaningless people with an anger hes only felt once before. it all happens within a week, and he realizes something. it isnt ONLY anger.

its grief.

grief over losing his ability to blindly kill. grief over losing his murderous tendencies. grief over gaining COMPASSION and HUMANITY. grief over falling in love for the first time.

of course he grieves. hes been a serial killer for so long, it makes sense to mourn the changes hes experienced. but at the same time, hed never change a thing.

he goes back to ghosts home in ghosts body, covered in multiple peoples blood. (hes not sure how he got here, but it infuriates him that he can just automatically find it no matter how far)

toast is there, fussing over the host's injuries (since when did ghost get that cut? he... should be more careful) and jimmy... jimmy exits the body, and sobs.

he watches the love toast feels for ghost, and promises one thing to himself: while he cant guarentee he'll never kill again, he can make himself human... for gavin, toast and ghost.

he just needs to figure out how to make himself a host, so that he doesnt hurt the man hes attached himself to (in more ways than one) he WANTS to be apart of humanity. he realizes hes hugging his host when he opens his eyes again, and realizes hes been subtly seeing ghost as his... well, as his brother. it hurts, and hes angry at that conclusion, but hes too tired to deny it. he falls asleep outside of ghosts body for the first time, and finally feels human.

so yeah idk how it sorta turned into a fanfic buuuut i think i like the concept :D if theres any spelling mistakes,,, no theres not,,,, and if its kindaaa ooc then uhm. hmm. well i havent watched vt in atleast 2 years so theres bound to be some mistakes :P

This AU has really become a story and a half! Maybe you could make it into a fic? It sounds like there’s still more that can happen next! ^^

Dw too much about being OOC, I think a fun thing with the medium is that canon is flexible. Plus, you have development from A to B, so I don’t think it’s too inane a concept! Jimmy reconsidering the murder thing and actually feeling is an interesting concept and a good way to defang him as a monster— and admittedly id be lying if i said i haven’t had characters grow as people through introspection in concepts b4 ^^

gonna be talking about flynn as usual because they’re the only one here i have posted publicly so far

(💖)i’ve actually had their living preferences thought out for a while!! it also serves as sort of a relationship chart for them and the npcs i guess ,, it goes like this:

loves - brian (guide), they claim he’s the first person they felt they could actually trust since in like a decade ,, of course they’ve met more people they trust since then but they still hold him in very high regard because of that and something else i’ll get to

likes - candy (party girl) and hayley (zoologist), they have a group chat where they talk about cartoons and stuff :] also both flynn and candy are transfem so i imagine candy giving them some insight on that sort of thing, especially since they started their transition later than she did … they’re also fond of emerenta (dryad) because of her wisdom and momo (princess) because … i mean everyone loves the princess lol (also because she was just really nice to them), and their favorite biome is the forest because it’s just where they feel the most comfortable

they dislike the tax collector (haven’t decided on a name for him :[ ) because he reminds them of people from their hometown and the wizard (also haven’t decided on a name for him …) because of this whooole thing that happened not long after the wall of flesh fight

basically because of how highly they thought of brian they were fucking devastated when they found out he died after fighting the wof and just fell into a really depressive and irritable state because of his death (and they didn’t meet up again for at least a couple months because Plot™️) so candy and hayley, not being able to think of a better solution, tried to find them someone new to talk to to cheer them up and thought the wizard would be the perfect for them because they’re a mage the wizard knows magic yadda yadda yadda

so they introduce flynn to the wizard and he shows them some magic techniques he knows and asks flynn why they don’t use them as any experienced mage would and they were like “well i mean brian didn’t teach me any of that” and the wizard was like “well you should only listen to me because he’s not a magician and i am” or something like that and flynn got really angry at that and kindaaa lost their mind at him... violently...

they've made up since then but would still rather not talk that much ...

aaand their least favorite biome is the caverns because the concept of living underground is weird to them

(💢)if they had a boss fight i think they'd kindaaa ... idk be zipping around everywhere and just aimlessly shooting projectiles ... maybe kinda like eol but faster and with less specific patterns or whatever? idk idk lol

(💪)they have 97 mental illnesses and are banned from most public spaces /silly /ref

for real though they've always had it kinda rough like the main reason their whole adventure started in the first place was because they hated living in their hometown so much and ran away one night while barely being prepared ... they seriously feel like they would've died in the middle of the woods on the night they ran away if it weren't for the fact that brian found them the next morning (which is the other reason they hold him in such high regard!)

then there's the whole thing about how poorly they handled brian's death and a lot of things that came after it ... and they didn't recover right away when he came back because that probably wouldn't be that realistic but yk ... they were just really susceptible to being angry and pushed people away often and just kinda continuously pushed people away and shit ...

and during the twins fight they were fighting them but in kind of a brute force-ish way and ended up damaging their vision, which is why the mid-late hard mode version of them wears glasses

while their eyes were recovering they sorta reflected on how they acted those past few months and felt bad and tried to make amends with anyone they've lashed out on and improve their mood and shit, also brian's death wasn't permanent so that helped the process go by a bit quicker than it would have without him i think

they're still not completely immune to anger though ... like they can get frustrated easily if something they're trying to do doesn't work right away or something or if someone says something about brian being the guy that opens doors for monsters at night for the 893523th time (totally not me projecting my frustration with terrar youtube and r/terraria onto them what are you talking about /s)

tl;dr they are doing better by the end of their journey but they've still had it very rough and are still not totally perfect, but that's okay i think because nobody really is ..!

ok having just finished kinnporsche the series i have Thoughts(tm) 

overall i absolutely adored the series! it was intense and incredibly dramatic, but found time to have some legit hilarious parts w/o feeling too disconnected! plusss the characters were fab & genuinely interesting and engaging, and the acting was amazing all round so 10/10 for that lol

howeverrrrrr... i was a lil annoyed at some of the ‘plot twists’ that happened later in the show, esp the ones surrounding porsche’s parents... i also thought some characters and plotlines were underutilised (like kim & the whole thing w/ him investigating porsche & porschay’s parents just didn’t seem to go anywhere??) & others just weren’t developed enough for my liking (like vegaspete... i know a lot of people love them but i just felt their storyline was a bit rushed so i couldn’t really get that invested sorrrry)... i also just wasn’t interested at all w/ kim and porschay’s storyline (it just didn’t feel like it fitted w/ the rest of the show at all imo)

i think in general i thought the last to episodes felt a little too rushed??? like i get there were probs restraints on how many eps they could make and whatnot but it just made the finale feel a lil chaotic w/o having any time to really process any of the things happening u know??? 

i also feel like as much as i love kinnporsche both being joint gang leaders or whatever (husbands in crime and all that) i kindaaa felt that the show was leaning towards neither of them really wanting that life, and i kinda expected them to leave it? like, porsche never wanted anything to do w/ it and kinn had been suggesting that he was dissatisfied with having to take over the ‘family business’ so it would’ve been interesting to have them both just leave that life and run away together or something idk... (but like i get why they didn’t do that and it’s not like i hated the ending for the two of them, but idk it’s not how i would’ve written it pfft)

also the ‘she is my sister*’ reveal was so fucking dumb i’m sorry i just hate when shows or films do the ‘and they were secretly related all along!!!!!!!!’ storyline... i had been dreading that they were gonna do that the moment we realised that porsche’s parents hadn’t been in a car crash & it legit annoyed me so much when they revealed it lol

Not me but my mom got a hysterectomy and my advice is. Youre gonna be really hungry when u get out since they make you not eat before the surgery. Well don't eat too fast or youll throw up . The first thing youll wanna do is drink a little water, have small snack like crackers or mayyyybeee like celery. Idk simple and plain. And then take a nap. Idk what ur living situation is but its important to have someone with u incase you need help with anything. If you don't live with family or dont trust your roommate then consider having a friend hang out with you post surgery or at least have a friend who lives close by that you can call if theres an emergency. Also sleep SITTING down on a sofa or comfy chair with pillows - The pain of *laying* down was so bad my mom screamed for like an hour and i had to make sure the stitches didn't rupture bcause thats what it felt like to her. Sitting down and standing up hurt a LOT too so keep your most important items in your pocket or in a bag you can carry arround so you dont have to stand up to get them.

Ok so me (i dont know) as well spence (host 1) and some others like tropical shirts unbuttoned over some kind of plain shirt and like simple studs, black nailpolish, yk transmascswag. silvie (his sister) likes a lot more fem clothes like short fluffy skirts, white nylons with like pastel heels, big dangly earrings, pink everything etc. andrea likes red, sundresses, her hair is usually in like a pinup style. brax likes basketball shorts and baggy tshirts or short athletic shorts. robin likes sage green anything, usually tanktops and jorts. jess likes leather jackets and whatnot. there was this other recent fronter who REALLY liked edward1an clothes. thats all i can remember lol

a lot of us see eachother as individual people. we kindaaa hate the term alter and even headmate cause its like. no those are other ppl lol erm.... yeagh. we are separate ppl but all part of like. a found family is how i would call it yeah. and idk if the others see it differently lol youd have 2 ask them tbh....

i’m thinking right. that maybe my problem with bnha is that it’s going too fast and is expecting me, the reader, to get attached to all of these background characters and know their names and their powers when they’ve barely been present?

like. dgmw i read a lot of comics and some of them aint good. a lot of them have stilted dialouge or are too fast paced or irrelevant arcs or characters that seem to come out of nowhere and then play a big big big part for seemingly... no reason (see: mindy libris from daredevil LOL). but with bnha... i feeeeeeel kind of like? an outsider?

like im missing a lot of the behind the scenes... struggles that these characters are having. are they failing their classes? are they getting together to hang out on the weekends? like i feel like i dont even know the names of a lot of these kids. who the hell is this guy with his tits out? i dont fucking know. i dont know what his super power. er. quirk. or whatever is. his only defining trait is ? not wearing a shirt ? and the fucking. the dog. my irl called him a pomeranian. bakugou i think. he’s an asshole. people are assholes right. thats what they do. but i feel like... like whenever he’s BEING an asshole its gets stopped before it can become a whole THING.

like. uh. sure. he almost killed the green twink that keeps making me think of phineas from phineas and ferb. but i feel like we didn’t ? see inside his head ? he chatted a bunch. kept saying how fucking. uh. midoriya? was a bitchass loser who shouldnt be there at all. but he’s just repeating taunts .... over and over and over. it’s BORING. i want development. and a different sentence for once.

i feel like i cant get attached to any of these characters cus every time we get close to them actually talking and having conversation with each other and shit. the issue comes to a close and we pick up somewhere else in the next one. 

and like. the whole... struggle to get into u.a. that the green one had? it didnt feel real. he did work for it, that much is obvious, but me, the reader, didnt see it happen. i saw him doing shit and all. but only for a few pages and didnt really understand what was going on inside his mind.

and maybe the writer gets better at their job the further along we go. and i just gotta get over the hump. but man im only here for the eye candy tbh LOL. and im starting to think so is ... everyone else ? like

its not substantial writing. it’s... mid. subpar even. with the comics im usually reading. a lot of. of cosmic marvel and street level ny vigilantes. which are both kindaaa shit. but those people have bonds. and stuff that makes them work together. and its probably cause the comics im reading have... developed characters that have been around since. fuck. the first nova comic was published back in the 1970s? these characters have had TIME to develop and create bonds and for the many writers to go “hm. we’re doing this now. and its going to be good” and have teams and shit. but with bnha. especially how. how early i am in the series. it hasn’t had that yet?

but its not... making the EFFORT to... create those bonds that are. that are tangible to the reader? these characters barely chat with each other, and if youre not the green one or the pomeranian the token chick or mr. richboy... then you’re JUST getting drawn in the panels to fill space? idk. maybe its gets better as the series progresses. i kinda doubt it.

hey!! i'm curious to know if you like any of the levi ships or if you think levi canonically had romantic feelings towards petra/hange/erwin. personally i can kindaaa see him having feelings for erwin and petra but also idk? rivetra is kinda cliche trope and eruri kinda boring lol. i love the levihan dynamic but struggle to see them as anything more than a brotp. none of the levi ships are really doing it for me. curious to hear your thoughts!!
