klancebrained on main btw.
keith thinks he's above tiktok but lance has a great idea for a grimace shake meme so keith agrees to be in a tiktok. He goes "lance i really don't see what the big deal is nothing's gonna happen" and he takes a sip of the grimace shake and then immediately starts going Galra Mode. Yellow Eyes Purple And Furry Much Much Taller the whole shebang. and then everything gets much dimmer lighting and the camerawork becomes shaky while he "attacks" the camera person (who is lance). it's ok though it's just pretend. the comments are all like "whoa that's really cool sfx makeup and editing!" and lance responds to them like "no he turned purple and furry for real" and someone responds to that "just like grimace..." and lance responds "just like grimace."

How did I not fully find out about Commander Fox until today???
This was originally just meant to be a quick muscle/pose practice sketch but it was simply too fox-coded not to seize the opportunity,,
This is my first attempt at drawing any clone faces, so I'm not quite sure how I want to portray them. I feel somewhat conflicted about tcw's (and even moreso tbb's) portrayal and how that reconciles with Temuera Morrison's appearance and awesomeness. I am at the very least a curly hair clone truther lmao,, we'll see how things develop tho
Also everyone here is so nice and very cool and I am in absolute shock to have more than like 10 notes on my stuff-- so thank you!! <3

*stands with hands on hips, staring at the floor*
Look, I know we love to have the Command Batch be close brothers in art and fics. I am a staunch lover of the trope myself.
But what about, like in real life, where the people we grew up with or went to school with, they just fall out of contact. The friends made in high school don't always remain lifelong friends.
Yeah, they can say "we'll call each other and message everyday," or "we should hang out when our leaves overlap." But the war gets in the way of everything, like it tends to do. Slowly but surely the messages in the group chat peter out. There are too many things to do, and duty takes first priority over keeping contact with the people they knew as kids.
It's not for wont of trying, the commanders would still send little messages to each other, but it could be hours, days or weeks before there's a reply because of conflicting zones, lack of signal, or other messages pushing the chat further down the list.
There's also just the fact that the commanders find their people. Meaning, through time and shared experiences with their battalions, other clones click right into place, possibly even deeper than their batchmates. The camaraderie in surviving a massacre with only two of your men surviving is different than the experience of constant dehumanization on Coruscant.
It comes to a point where the Command Batch become, for lack of thinking of a better word, almost strangers to each other. They still keeps tabs on one another, just to make sure they're still alive, but that's pretty much as far as it goes now. Maybe they'll chitchat when their battalions work together, but the mission has to come first, so most of the talking is planning and strategizing. Even when their leaves do overlap, the thought of messaging for a meet-up might feel like a nuisance, because surely your batchmates are exhausted and don't want to be bothered.
So it goes, the commanders may have been close once, but that connection has been stretched and warped by war and time. They still have love for each other and it won't ever be forgotten, because how can anyone forget the people you grew up with. They were the right people they needed back then, but they're no longer the right people now.

WIP Game Snippet
Ooooooooooookay here we go. The notorious @frostbitebakery has seen the snip. Welcome to TUO, the fic. I needed to hit 103 sentences and I definitely achieved that.
Warnings for: blood, gore, violence, the fact that I refused to name any clones other than the obvious ones for now, the fact that this is so, so, so rough oh my god, and death. Don't worry though, Ponds gets better. Aurra Sing doesn't, but we can't have everything.
Teaser below. Body under a cut because WOWZA.
Ponds
Ponds looks his littlest oldest brother in the eye, watches his hands shake on a blaster--he cannot remember the last time a blaster shook in his own hands.
(A lie, a lie. Ponds remembers everything. Every time. Every shake. They all do--that’s not even the Curse. It’s just your normal, run-of-the-mill curse born of standard genetic engineering.
Ponds was 3. He was aiming at Bly.)

I am once again wondering how Wake would feel about her daughter now. Sure, when we see her spirit she is pretty clear that she saw Gideon as a bomb- one that she was very willing to set off. But that’s Wake locked emotionally in at the moment of her death. That’s her feelings about Gideon as she’s being murdered by someone she’s been having a really fucked up double affair with and all her carefully made plans turn to ash.
So I have to wonder: how would she feel about Gideon if she’d been allowed time to actually process it all and not just have her soul haunt a sword?
Like…Gideon looks almost exactly like her. Despite everything in her environment telling her otherwise she think necromancy is kinda awful and gross. She lacks any respect for God or his entire religion and she’s a warrior to the bone.
I don’t think Wake would ever be a actual good mother but man. It’s so sad for me to think about how Gideon unknowingly followed in her mother’s footsteps in a lot of little ways and Wake was incapable of ever seeing that even though she was technically with Gideon- she could only ever hate her, never processing through it because she’s dead.
