Hey! I usually just post art but I’ve got that ✨Mando’a ConLang Brainrot✨ Idk if this is necroposting (necro-reblogging?) but I just wanted to break this down for other people who might be confused (but mostly because I wanted to point out the maybe-cool-thing I realized at the end)!! Anywho this is basically a deep dive I did on the Base-5 aka Quinary number system that Mando'a has, breaking down how it functions, and sprinkling in some real-world language info and how that might have influenced Mando'a:
A heads-up that the formatting will likely be trashed on mobile if you don't select "print view!!!!" Note: This isn't really a “how Mando’a numbers basically work” so anyone new, if you’re looking for a functional guide you should check out this amazing post from @/project-shereshoy (I’m new to tumblr so I’m not sure if @-ing is rude?? also not sure how reblogging even functions so I am very sorry if this is a mess 😅). Also this is all just my own interpretation and analysis so I am sorry for any errors or discrepancies,,
I sat down to stare at digits in mando'a today and noticed something fun. Let me see if I can articulate it.
According to KT’s archives, the numerals below are canon.
solus - one t'ad - two ehn - three cuir - four rayshe'a - five resol - six e'tad - seven sh'ehn - eight she'cu - nine ta'raysh - ten olan - hundred ta'raysholan - thousand
At first glance, they just look like numbers, yeah? And the first four are pretty straight forward, solus, t'ad, ehn, cuir. It’s after five, rayshe'a, that things start to get kind of confusing in my brain. But look! I saw the trick! Six, resol, is resol. Seven, e'tad, e’tad– or, e+t'ad. If we assume re- and e are both a carry over from rayshe'a, you’re legit just creating five plus one (5+1) not 6; it means six, but that’s not really what’s said. And I think this quantifies based on the next two; eight, sh'ehn, is from five’s rayshe‘a with three’s ehn, becoming five plus 3 (5+3), and nine, she'cu, is five’s rayshe'a with four, cuir.
“What about higher numbers?” They show us! Ten is ta'raysh, or two, t'ad, plus five, rayshe'a. Two-five. Olan sets our standard for hundred, and using the same basis for the other words, ta'raysholan becomes two-fives+hundred, with ta (t'ad, from two), raysh (rayshe'a, from five) and olan for hundred. It’s possible olan is a mutated/altered version of solus but I’m not quite sure.
“How does this work? What about even higher numbers?” This plus this equals this. Five plus three equals eight. After that things get tricky. I can’t find an official morphology for those numbers at the moment. What do you think? Is twelve ta'ta'raysh, two two five? Or is it ta'raysh'ta, two-fives-two? Or, more likely, is it ta'raysh t'ad? Hard to say. Is 111 olan ta'raysh solus, hundred ten one? Or would you say e'sol, as a way of saying triple one? What about even higher numbers? How do you get to a million, a billion, a trillion?

Another sketch (plus a bit of color, as a treat, for myself lol)! Just my continued quest of trying to figure out how to do faces. I feel like the colors always look way different on tumblr but what can ya do,, I haven't drawn frequently in almost two years so it has been a PROCESS trying to figure out how to do things,, I need to work on creating a variety of expressions cause I feel like so far I've just made everyone half-smile lmao (at least it fits Cody tho imo)

Another anatomy practice sketch that got away from me,, Is there anything that particularly signifies this pose as Hardcase?? Maybe not,, but is he still a favorite of mine and one of my fav tattoo designs? Absolutely. And I wanted an excuse to try more possible clone face arrangements, so here he is in his blacks! Something about his right arm still looks wonky af to me but I think I've dawdled enough with this one lmao, so, into the wild—

How did I not fully find out about Commander Fox until today??? This was originally just meant to be a quick muscle/pose practice sketch but it was simply too fox-coded not to seize the opportunity,, This is my first attempt at drawing any clone faces, so I'm not quite sure how I want to portray them. I feel somewhat conflicted about tcw's (and even moreso tbb's) portrayal and how that reconciles with Temuera Morrison's appearance and awesomeness. I am at the very least a curly hair clone truther lmao,, we'll see how things develop tho Also everyone here is so nice and very cool and I am in absolute shock to have more than like 10 notes on my stuff-- so thank you!! <3

Just finished watching the Rako Hardeen arc! The fact that there is no mention of the 212th or their reactions is absolutely criminal,,
I have a whole storyline/au in mind for how they got here,,, trying to decide if I’ll write it but I think it might be fun.
If anyone knows some good fics set during this arc please let me know!!

So,, this is my first ever post! I'm usually just a lurker. But the other day I was listening to this playlist and I just kept imagining Cody and the other Clone Troopers singing this around a campfire. The album art for Big Iron is so iconic, so I got inspired to make this! This was my first time drawing a clone trooper so I hope it turned out okay! (idk how shadows work, nor do I understand feet,, and do they really just wear glorified crocs??) I did a quick re-read over the Aurebesh but my apologies if I made any typos. Annddd idk how image compression on here works so I hope it doesn't get too fried,, but I'm trying to post before I chicken out lol
