Little things I noticed in the new update

[SPOILERS WARNING]

Walking with cinderclown shoes makes a slight jingling sound (and it drives me insane i have to switch it out)

it shows u how many stacks of items are there when the icon for the items ready to be collected comes out

the icon for collected hay that disappears above the player now scatters about

the land around adventurer's guild is different. it has a bridge outside now that connects to the quarry

waterfalls ofc

i dont know if it has always been there but the sign on stardrop saloon and food spirits now glow? like there is a light shining onto it

speaking of stardrop, there are stones in the dirt path in front of it now

mailbox next to the special request board thing outside lewis's house (not sure if it does anything yet since i havent accepted one)

There is a bit more land next to your house in gingerisland now and I know this because I keep my crab pots there and I went to my pots and they were touching the land and I don't like it when they touch the land because it looks wr-

Music gets softer when u do things that requires a different sound instead of stopping now (horse flute)

Joja cans give you speed buffs now

Shane's room has footprints and Marnie's ranch has hanging pots of flowers now

Blindness icon has changed

Deluxe Speed Gro now uses bone fragments instead of red coral.

The map changes according to seasons

The map also shows the opening and closing time for stores

Verses for Penny

Hogwarts: Ravenclaw student, carries a 9 inch cedar wand with a hippogriff feather core. She loves Divination and Arithmancy, and joins the Hogwarts Choir in her third year. In the Golden Trio timeline, she joins Dumbledore's Army and helps to keep it running during the reign of Tom Riddle; she survives the Battle of Hogwarts. In America at Ilvermorny, she's selected into Horned Serpent. She has a calico cat named Freyja.

Twilight: Was bitten with her family by a rogue vampire who was destroyed by his sire during the American Revolution. The sire took responsibility for the Hardys for a couple of decades, teaching them their ways and of the Volturi and their rules, before leaving. When Fenton met Carlisle Cullen, they all turned to animal blood for survival instead of drinking human blood. Penny's special gift is that she can see someone's lifeline and predict their future, similar to Alice Cullen's, but her gift is limited to one person at a time. Trying to see the future for a group leaves her foggy and disoriented, as the lifelines can get tangled up with each other's.

Demigod/Percy Jackson: Main verse is that she's a daughter of Poseidon, with all of the gifts that her half siblings possess; secondary verse, she is first cousins with Joe Hardy, son of Athena, and a distant relative to Frank, son of Hades. Penny is a daughter of Dionysus, and she resides in Cabin 12 with her elder twin half brothers, Pollux and Castor. She has the ability to create madness in those she touches, and she's an exceptionally fantastic actress. She can also grow strawberries, but when angry the fruit goes rotten in seconds.

The young man had seen her wandering around was she on her own ? Sizhui was uncertain and this led to him having some concern for her safety. He was never one to say a person could not take care of themselves, since clearly the people in the cultivator's life could indeed take care of themselves.

It was just--she looked lost.

He remembered a younger time when as a baby he had gotten lost, and cried and people had made it hard on him when he was just scared. She was a bit older than he had been so instead he went to a stall and purchased two hawthorne sticks and made his way to where the girl was.

"Are you new here ?" he asked her politely offering her the sweet, the other being for himself. "I'm Lan SIzhui." he introduced himself.

Duolingo Sucks, Now What?: A Guide

Now that the quality of Duolingo has fallen (even more) due to AI and people are more willing to make the jump here are just some alternative apps and what languages they have:

"I just want an identical experience to DL"

Busuu (Languages: Spanish, Japanese, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Arabic, Korean)

"I want a good audio-based app"

Language Transfer (Languages: French, Swahili, Italian, Greek, German, Turkish, Arabic, Spanish, English for Spanish Speakers)

"I want a good audio-based app and money's no object"

Pimsleur (Literally so many languages)

Glossika (Also a lot of languages, but minority languages are free)

*anecdote: I borrowed my brother's Japanese Pimsleur CD as a kid and I still remember how to say the weather is nice over a decade later. You can find the CDs at libraries and "other" places I'm sure.

"I have a pretty neat library card"

Mango (Languages: So many and the endangered/Indigenous courses are free even if you don't have a library that has a partnership with Mango)

Transparent Language: (Languages: THE MOST! Also the one that has the widest variety of African languages! Perhaps the most diverse in ESL and learning a foreign language not in English)

"I want SRS flashcards and have an android"

AnkiDroid: (Theoretically all languages, pre-made decks can be found easily)

"I want SRS flashcards and I have an iphone"

AnkiApp: It's almost as good as AnkiDroid and free compared to the official Anki app for iphone

"I don't mind ads and just want to learn Korean"
