☆ HEESEUNG ; drunk kisses

kisses with heeseung are passionate and eager, your breaths smelling a bit like alcohol and your clothes sticking to your skin due to the clearly overcrowded house. you’re almost unable to hear each other over the music so you stick to each other’s side, heeseung’s hot breath fanning over your neck. he peppers kisses all over your right cheek and whines, you shut him up with a quick peck. the first three buttons of his shirt are unbuttoned, showing off his glistening skin and you can’t help but grab his collar and connect your lips together for the umpteenth time that night. heeseung doesn’t waste a second reciprocating the affection– he would never leave you unkissed if he could. he smells of beer and a hint of tequila (probably the shot jake forced into his hand earlier) and you smell of sex on the beach with a hint of strawberry– actually, that’s probably just the taste of your lipgloss, the one he’s currently smudging. he’s likely going to end up falling asleep with pink glossy traces on his lips, but when you moan against his mouth, he knows he could never get enough of you.

☆ JAY ; forehead kisses

forehead kisses were a norm with jay, something he did daily since you’d turned into teens. his friends would say it was weird but jay would always retort that forehead kisses were normal for you two, because you were friends, and nothing more. that obviously didn’t last long and when you two finally went out on your first date, he ended the night with a sweet forehead kiss, hands gently holding your face. it was rather predictable that the moment you two started dating, the forehead kisses would stay and become a way to convey his love for you. he’d kiss your forehead before walking into the exam hall for a stressful exam, your supportive praises running in a loop in his mind. he’d kiss your forehead in his parents’ kitchen, when he invited you over for dinner to introduce you as his girlfriend. and when you two leave with big smiles, red cheeks and intertwined hands, jay’s mom would turn to his dad and laugh, claiming she just knew you were bound to be together.

☆ JAKE ; neck kisses

your relationship with jake was like a tamer version of romeo and juliet, your families holding a decades long grudge against each other. still, you liked the thrill of sneaking around and meeting up with your lover, hiding from your family and having to bend the truth so often– you weren’t lying when you said you were going to study at the library, you just forgot to mention that jake would be present, and that maybe you’d make out against the bookshelves of the ecology book section. truthfully, it wasn’t that serious at first, you two just wanted to have fun and piss off your families if they were to find out, but over time, you two grew undeniable close and feelings started to get involved. instead of stopping, like you had suggested, jake just found new ways to meet up with you. he’d ask to go to the bathroom during class, only to beg you to join him, returning to class minutes later with marks blooming on your neck. he’d invite you to parties, finding you in the crowd and kissing up from your shoulder to your neck. he’d throw little rocks at your window at night so you’d join him and stargaze from under the apple tree in your neighbor’s garden. and maybe you’d go home that night with marks littering your neck, and maybe this time you wouldn’t cover them up, wishing to be able to be public with jake.

☆ SUNGHOON ; goodbye kisses

the first time you and sunghoon kiss is minutes before you leave with your parents for a month long vacation during the summer holidays. the second time is when you get back from your trip, at the last summer party before school starts. you had only seen sunghoon in passing, the house being overfilled with students, but he’d find you when you walked out of the house to leave, tugging at your wrist with flushed cheeks. he’d kiss you under the flickering street lamp, and you’d smile into the kiss, pulling him closer. two years later, this goodbye resembles the one where you first kissed, but this time, you won’t come back a month later, leaving for university on the other side of the country. the kiss is bittersweet as tears roll down your cheeks and sobs leave your mouth. ten months later, you say goodbye again. sunghoon had surprised you by visiting you at university, wanting to tell you in person how he had to go abroad for a skating competition. he’d whisper that he loves you and you’d promise to wait for him, sharing one last kiss before he turns his back to you and walks through the airport gates with his head down and face stained with tears.

☆ SUNOO ; smiley kisses

kissing sunoo is sweet and exciting, like a fresh breath of air. you always find each other when you have good news and the smiles on your faces are ever present when you congratulate the other with a kiss. the giggles that leave your mouth just after having given sunoo a peck are adorable to say the least and he only kisses you back because he can’t resist not doing so. you’re always happy to see him and when he sees you walking towards him with open arms, there’s no way he would refuse you anything. your friends often joke about you two, looking away and faking gagging sounds whenever you steal a kiss, but it never changes the way you look at your boyfriend with stars in your eyes and the biggest smile on your lips. truly, sunoo is just happy to have you there with him and if smiling into the kiss is the perfect way to show it, then so be it.

☆ JUNGWON ; good morning kisses

sleepovers with jungwon were a weekly thing, as being best friends with him meant that your houses were always open for each other. it was impromptu when you kissed, early in the morning while you had just been complaining about this one guy you used to like. jungwon had cut you off with a sleepy voice, asking you why'd you settle for less when he could give you so much. it wasn’t long before you were rolling in your bed, hair messy and lips red from kissing. something jungwon really liked was waking you up on the weekends, your mom letting him in and telling him you were still sleeping, like usual. he’d skip to your bedroom, sitting on the side of your bed and brushing your hair back, smiling at the pout on your face. he’d first kiss your forehead, then your cheeks, then your nose if you’d still not woken up before softly kissing your lips as you’d sleepily hook your arms around his neck, pulling him down on top of you. maybe if you were lucky, you’d convince him to nap with you but most of the times, he’d drag you out of bed, pushing you to your bathroom to freshen up while he waited for you on your bed, cheeks red and excited to spend the day with you.

☆ RIKI ; sleepy kisses

riki isn’t that fond of physical affection in public so he makes up for it in private. you remember clearly how you two got together, having shared a short kiss right before falling asleep during a sleepover with your group of friends. you and him had been pushed in the corner of the room on a single mattress and with your back to the others, it was the perfect moment to tell him how you felt. from that day on, kisses when one of you is tired is practically the norm. it’s a way of saying “you can rest now, i’ll be here for you” before the other dozes off, or “you can get through it, i’m by your side” when the tiredness is getting too much. it’s especially endearing when you two share the ride back home from school, squeezing each other’s hands and leaning in to kiss the other with a tired gaze. one of you is always awake then, just so neither of you miss your stop. riki would never admit that he prefers being the one awake though, just so that he can admire you and peck your cheek when you’re sleeping on his shoulder.

“you know, you shouldn’t even be here right now.”

“yn.”

wonbin’s tone is stern and you cross your arms, letting out a loud huff to show your discontentment. from your position in the kitchen, you can stare at your neighbor-turned-babysitter all day, but you’re currently angry, so you opt to pout and grumble instead.

you can clearly hear wonbin sigh in defeat and you watch him lean back on his arms on the floor from the corner of your eye. he’s a few feet away from your little brother, giving him enough space to draw in his coloring book.

the handsome boy (you’re angry, but not blind) turns to you, black hair perfectly framing his stupidly pretty face. your eyes fall to his lips for a second. one second too long apparently because soon he starts to grin and you have no other option than to look away and pout again.

a chuckle leaves his mouth and it annoys you more than it should.

he tilts his head a bit and looks at you, eyes raking over your casual outfit. you’re really trying to not look his way, simply because you refuse to give him the satisfaction of knowing your attention is on him but you’re still curious as to why he seems more concentrated on you than on his job.

don’t look.

your hand covers your mouth as you spin your pen with your fingers, swiftly clicking on it before writing a new sentence in your notebook, elbow propped up on the kitchen island.

all the while you flip a few pages in your textbook to get to a new chapter of history, wonbin hums, high fiving your brother when the latter shows him his colorful drawing.

you swear you’re not paying attention, but the way you can hear him smiling as he speaks softly makes your face burn, ears turning red. he’s good with kids, and although you’re supposed to be pissed at your parents– and thus him– you can’t help but admit he’s doing a good job.

you would have done a good job too, you tell yourself.

your hand stills over the counter, pen inches away from the paper. in not even one second, you went from being productive and finally getting some homework done to thinking about wonbin and his pretty eyes.

you hate this, because you swear you’re angry at him. or at least you’re supposed to.

deep down you know that the so-called hatred you have for him right now is a way to stop you from thinking about what you really feel for your neighbor.

gosh, his eyes are just so pretty.

maybe you’re overreacting a bit too. maybe you’re being a bit dramatic, because the way wonbin starts to frown as he notices your brows furrow makes your heart throb.

you had decided to sit at the kitchen island to do your homework, because the kitchen table seemed a bit too close to the living room. but now that you’re actually in the kitchen, you realize you’re facing him (and your little brother, of course) and if you’d even look up for one second, eye contact would be guaranteed.

this sucks, you think, as you slide off the barstool and wander deeper into the kitchen. maybe if you’d fake looking for something to eat in the fridge, he would finally look away.

without really being thirsty, you grab the first carton you find and move to pour yourself a glass of whatever said carton contains. ah, apple juice it is.

you think you’re finally starting to get more comfortable in your own home after wonbin’s arrival but then he lets out a giggle– one that you find absolutely adorable too– and your lips freeze on the brim of your glass, head snapping towards the living room. “what.” you almost bark out, eyes fierce.

“it’s nothing,” wonbin has to swallow a laugh and divert his eyes, waving his hand in front of his. “don’t worry about it!”

you put your glass down on the counter and put a hand on your hip, eyes big and confused. “tell me,” you just watch as he lets out another giggle at your desperate tone, “c’mon! i’m gonna think you’re making fun of me if you don’t tell me.”

“your slippers,” this time wonbin looks at you, really looks at you. he sees how your eyes go wide and how your nose twitches in surprise. he sees how your lips fall open and gape at him and he sees how eyelashes flutter when you blink rapidly. he speaks up again, still looking at you, “they’re cute.” you’re cute.

“ah,” you nod, a bit surprised.

“you can compliment me back, y’know”

“i can literally kick you out right now.”

wonbin only puts his two hands up, a teasing smile clear on his lips as he admits defeat.

it’s slowly getting darker outside, the sun disappearing behind the houses in your neighborhood.

you’re on the last page of your essay when wonbin closes the living room curtains and finally agrees to your brother’s request of watching his favorite film. you find it rather domestic, how he’d hauled your brother from the floor to the couch and how he’d draped your blanket over the both of them.

the disney film is on pause as your brother babbles about his classmates, excitedly recounting yesterday’s events. you go to turn on the stove to prepare dinner and smile to yourself when your brother mentions the solar planet you had helped him make for his science fair. you smile even bigger when wonbin applauds him and makes him promise to show him one day, because he has to see how good you two are (his words).

when the water is boiling in the pot and you’ve stacked and pushed aside all your school work to prepare for dinner, you don’t directly realize you set the table for three until wonbin points it out, leaning casually against the fridge.

“i didn’t know i was invited for dinner.”

you shrug in an effort to act as casual as he is, but it comes off as rather stiff so you just turn away, mindlessly stirring the pasta. “well, i wouldn’t want you to starve. who else would my parents turn to when they’re in need of a babysitter?” certainly not me.

you’re clearly still a bit bitter that your parents don’t trust you to babysit your own brother.

wonbin just laughs, like he’s having the most fun knowing you’re irritated at him for replacing your “part-time job”. you send him a nasty glare and it only makes him chuckle more, obviously entertained by your displeasure.

he goes to lean on the counter next to you as he watches you do your magic, as per your brother’s words, and lightly bumps his elbow into yours. “c’mon, i know you’re not really mad at me for being here.”

you flick his crossed arms and check to see if the pasta is not overcooked. “i just don’t understand why they’d waste money to get a babysitter for him when i literally exist and live here!” okay, so maybe you’re not being hundred percent honest and are more pissed about the babysitter being wonbin than the waste of money but he doesn’t have to know that.

wonbin continues to stare at your face, tracing your side profile with his eyes. “i offered to babysit, and your dad knows i’ve been saving up for a car...” his smile is teasing when he shrugs as you send him a glare.

“and what if i was saving up for a car? you’d be ruining my chances to do so.” you’re stubborn and not letting go.

your neighbor, who’s actually way too close to you for your liking (you’re sure he can count your beauty marks with how close he is) stifles a laugh. “we both know you’re not saving up for a car,” his voice insists on the ‘not’ and you know he sees you rolling your eyes. “besides, you don’t need one.”

the pasta looks good as you go to grab two oven mitts, glancing at wonbin from the corner of your eye. you’re confused and he knows because not even a second later and he’s grabbing the oven mitts from your hands and carrying the pasta to the kitchen table. “i can always just drive you around, y’know. contrary to what you think, i do actually enjoy your presence, babe.”

when his words register in your brain, you can’t seem to move from your spot in the kitchen and wonbin finds it all too cute, smiling while ushering your little brother to sit at the end of the table.

babe. babe? “babe?” your fingers find wonbin’s hand, wrapping slowly around his wrist when he walks past you to get some glasses. he stops in his tracks, tilting his head a bit and smirking at your surprised gaze and vulnerable tone.

he just nods, the top of his cheeks blushing only for a fraction of a second. unbeknownst to you, his heart is beating like crazy. “shouldn’t i have called you that? you don’t like it?”

you shake your head, still startled from him calling you by an affectionate nickname, something he had never done before and something you would have never guessed he would ever do.

“It’s alright,” you say, voice suddenly shakier than usual, “i didn’t expect it, that’s all.”

your fingers let go of his wrist but he doesn’t directly move away, staring at the way your other hand is holding tightly onto the kitchen counter. he notices how you’re reaching for the utensils but your mind is focusing on something else, your fingers absentmindedly pulling the kitchen drawer open.

suddenly, wonbin feels a pang of guilt. he can’t seem to decipher what the expression on your face means but he’s worried he might have gone too far, or that you’re too far gone in your head.

“hey,” his voice startles you out of your thoughts, “are you sure it’s okay? i can stop if you want–”

“no!-” your panicked tone startles him a bit and you clear your throat, fiddling with one of the rings on your fingers, “i mean, i– i didn’t mind it? i quite liked it.”

wonbin’s eyes widen a bit, surprised but thrilled. “oh.”

“yeah.”

the short awkward silence between the two of you gets interrupted by your younger brother’s complaints, and you quickly move past wonbin to serve the youngest one in the house a big plate of spaghetti (his favorite).

it’s only when you’re seated at the table that you realize wonbin’s marched over and took your plate, serving you before him. he looks almost ethereal under the warm kitchen lights and you can’t help but stare, this time not caring about getting caught.

the pasta looks extra good when he puts your plate down in front of you and your stomach grumbles at the sight, earning a slight chuckle from the boy in front of you.

your baby brother’s focus is entirely on his dinosaur shaped fork, which wonbin takes as an opportunity to reach over the table and grab your hand, drawing a stifled gasp out of you. his thumb is rubbing circles on the back of your palm and your hand feels heavy but comfortable in his grasp.

your gaze travels from your intertwined fingers to his face and you almost melt at the soft look in his eyes. it almost looks like he’s in love.

he is, but you don’t know that. yet.

“let me take you out on a date, please.”

the way his voice gets stuck in his throat and his tone gets breathier tells you everything you have to know and you squeeze his hand lightly in a comforting manner. he anxiously bites the inside of his cheek while he waits for your answer and he’s glad you don’t see his leg bouncing up and down under the table.

“i would love to, wonbin.” your cheeks turn red and your lips automatically curl, revealing the smile wonbin likes so much.

the stress leaves his body the second the words leave your mouth and he suppresses a nervous laugh, free hand coming up to push his hair back.

“yeah?”

“of course,” your smile is contagious when you nod, “how could i say no to you?”

☆ TXT AND THINGS THEY DO WHEN THEIR PARTNER IS A FIRST GRADE TEACHER

☆ YEONJUN

gives you stickers he gets as freebies in his packages. Yeonjun is a sucker for a good pair of jeans, a heavy leather jacket and some silver accessories to top it off. The thing is, being fresh out of university and moving out of the dorms into a small studio is quite a problem when you’re a clothes fanatic such as yeonjun. So, to earn some money beside his job and keep his closet in order, he opens an account on some popular secondhand online shops. Yeonjun likes showing off his new finds to you, excitedly telling you about the deal he managed to get, how happy he is to finally get his hands on said item and upon seeing your soft smile, kissing you on the temple and whispering how he’ll make sure you two match. Sometimes, the package includes freebies, mainly stickers, which he immediately sets aside for you– you and your students would love this, he thinks. Yeonjun sells clothes too though, and you find it particularly endearing how he refuses to reuse any of the stickers as freebies, because they are yours, like he always claims.

☆ SOOBIN

buys the food for the classroom's pet. Soobin used to work at a pet store in his first year of university to be able to afford his own car. The pet store was also the place where you both bumped into each other for the first time, and where you ended up sharing your first kiss after you decided to swing by to check in on him. So in short, the pet store in between the old dinner and newly-renovated 7-11 meant a lot to the both of you. Years had passed and now you both only stepped foot in the store a few times a year, just enough to not forget the workers’ faces and see the new animals come in. The next time your boyfriend visited the pet store was exactly a few days after your principal allowed your class to get a classroom pet– a cute hamster whose name was Snickers, voted by your students. The owner of the store welcomed Soobin with a wide grin and a pat on the back, even offering him a discount on the hamster food you had begged him to get since you’d forget (he acted like you owed him but in reality, it was on his way to work and he could never resist your pretty pout). It would become part of your routine, your boyfriend buying Snickers’ food when needed and you accompanying him on the weekends, staring at the cute animals with joy while the store owner and his old boss teased him about the heart eyes he’d send you. Ah, young love, he’d say, laugh resonating through the store.

☆ BEOMGYU

sharpens the classroom's pencils for you every friday. Beomgyu’s week is usually always booked– when he isn’t studying or working, he’s playing the guitar and meeting up with friends and family. That doesn’t mean though that you aren’t spending any time together, but more often than not your dates or “quality time” moments are are the end of the week (he once claimed he likes it because he enjoys ending his week on a good note– tsk, what a romantic). He hasn’t outright told you that he likes the comforting silence when you’re both sitting in the living room, cozying up together and doing your own things, but the way he shyly nods when you pat the space next to you on the couch every time is proof. Sometimes Beomgyu just needs life to be a bit more peaceful, and sharpening all your classroom’s pencils while you grade your students’ papers next to him is exactly fulfilling that need. Once in awhile too, if he’s free, he will walk into your empty classroom with a grin as you do your “typical end-of-the-day teacher things”, ready to pick up every single pencil off the floor and from under the desks, just so you don’t have to collect them and you can go home, together.

☆ TAEHYUN

helps you paint your monthly and seasonal banners for your classroom. Taehyun isn’t a very artistic person– younger, he’d more the type to clumsily spread different colors of paint over the canvas, turning the stunning colors in a brown mess– but he fails to help you out if you’re feeling even the slightest bit out of inspiration. Truly, you had been planning and working on these banners for your classroom for months and to say you were getting tired at the unaesthetically pleasing sight in front of you was an understatement. The only banner you were missing was the one for fall but every time you tried to paint out a beautiful scenery with trees and fallen leaves, the dark colors only made you want to bury yourself six feet under. Only one call of your boyfriend’s name was needed for him to come running to your rescue, taking a pause to look at your “art” before stiffing his laughter and settling next to your on the ground. It wasn’t long before Taehyun had filled the banner with mushrooms and squirrels, brushing paint on the fabric carefully. He was proud of his artwork at the end and you could only smile, thanking him with a kiss and a promise to show his work off. When the next Monday came, you couldn’t help but snap a photo at all your students admiring the new banner, scooting closer to it to take a better look and giggling at the baby squirrel.

☆ HUENING KAI

prepares you your favorite drink in colorful thermos mugs. Huening kai wakes up around the time you’re getting ready to leave for work and every time without fail, he’s drag himself out of bed and to the kitchen to make you your favorite drink. While the water boils-- you usually have coffee, sometimes hot chocolate if you’re feeling a little bit silly– your boyfriend would walk over to where standing rummaging through your bag for your daily-use lipbalm and stare. He’d look you up and down and even wink at you if you make eye contact. He would compliment your outfit (“your shoes go well with your pants, they make you look taller”, “I like how you did your hair this morning”, “your eye shadow is cute, did you use the new pallet I bought you?”, etc..) and kiss you good morning before walking off to finish his daily task at the ping of the boiler. Just before you walk out the door, a sleepy voice calls out to you and a thermos mug is soon pushed in your free hand. The mug’s color matches perfectly well with your outfit and you blush at the effort, kissing him goodbye and leaving for work, ready to brag about your favorite drink and new mug to your students– you just know they are going to be thrilled at the flower print.

☆ playing with your hair when you talk intensely

a few months into your relationship with him, you had found out jeonghan once used to have long hair and he then openly expressed how cute he found you, with whatever hair type you had at that moment. that day ended with lots of giggles after an intense round of back and forths. jeonghan had always loved your hair, whether it was long, short, curly or straight, and he had always loved listening to you talk. so why not make the experience of listening to you even better by playing with your hair? it’s a mix of two things he loves, it’s perfect! (that were his words when you first asked him why he was braiding a lock of your hair). you soon realized it wasn’t a one time thing but also noticed the fond look his eyes held as he slowly twirled a strand of hair around his finger, a playful smile on his face while he nodded along to your story.

☆ sitting close to you whenever you eat out

jeonghan loves eating out and he loves it even more with you by his side. by his side doesn’t only mean going with him in his words. for jeonghan, it also means right next to him, knees touching and fingers interlocking under the table. it means, sitting so close that whispering in each other’s ears is a given, an arm thrown over your shoulder as you shudder in delight. and it means being able to hold your thigh in a protective manner whenever he spots a guy checking you out, it means feeling the way your skin trembles under his hand when you laugh at one of his jokes, it means reassuring you with soft brushes of his thumb on your knee when you have to order and giving you a quick adoring kiss when you successfully do so. for jeonghan, it means love and loving you.

☆ always tells you all the gossip

when you first met jeonghan’s friends and they tried to introduce themselves to you, they made it very clear that one of the younger ones, seungkwan, was a gossiper. the gossiper. you just held back a laugh and moved on but there was a lingering question in your mind, how was it possible that seungkwan was the gossiper of the group when you definitely knew nobody could be worse than jeonghan himself. it triggered you for a few days before you finally asked him, and his answer was simple; “because only you showed that you deserved to know the very precious and dangerous info i have.” you could only smile and pinky promise him to keep that info for yourself.

☆ stealing your cutlery and demands a battle when you disagree

it’s been a well known fact for years that jeonghan likes to tease and to prank people, more so the people he’s fond of. also another fun fact about him is that he loves to hold cutlery in his hands; a knife, a fork, a fake sword (if you think of that as cutlery of course), you name it. a funny joke of his ended up turning into a daily thing he does, your whines of disagreement never discouraging him. it’s kinda cute how he holds up the cutlery in his hands though, as if he was a knight in shining armor ready to save whoever was in dire need to be saved. sometimes jeonghan relents and gives you your cutlery back with a pout but most of the time you accept defeat and come back with a plastic sword he diy customized specially for you, ready to take back what was rightfully yours.

☆ rolls your sleeves up whenever you cook, write, draw, etc

during the winter you get cold easily and thus, your winter wardrobe mostly consists of long sleeved tops. you love your collection of long sleeved tops and would give it away for nothing. but one thing that continued to bother you was how easily wet and dirty those long sleeves could get. whenever you cook or wash your hands, it always ends with your sleeves getting soaked. it was a daily struggle before you met minghao. now, it isn't such a bother anymore, as minghao takes the time to roll your sleeves up whenever is necessary. you don't even have to ask, and it warms your heart everytime.

☆ writes your initials on his blank canvases before painting them

minghao has always liked everything related to art. one of his hobbies is painting and he's very good at it. when you first saw one of his paintings you immediately cheered him on, proud of his creativity and art. there were moments where he was in a slump, unable to even hold up a brush for more than a minute. it frustrated him and pained you. but over the months, you were always there to hold his shaky hands, to steady the palette and to mix the paint. minghao thinks he could have never enjoyed his hobby again if it wasn't for you. and now whenever he prepares a blank canvas, he always adds your name at the bottom, in honor of your constant support. at the end of the day, the little scribble of your name isn't visible anymore, hiding under the multiple layers of paint but he knows it's there and that's the only thing that counts.

☆ makes a cup of your preferred drink whenever he makes one for himself

at the start of your relationship, minghao realized that you liked specific beverages and would stick with that when visiting cafés. he grew rapidly fond of the soft smile that accompanied every sip of your drink and decided that from that moment on, he wanted to see that smile all the time. it was a surprise to you the first time minghao went to grab himself a cup of tea and came back with another cup containing your favorite drink. minghao just brushed you off with a kiss to the head when you asked why and your happy laugh was enough for minghao to make him want to bring you your favorite drinks every day spent together.

☆ burries his face in the crook of your neck when he giggles

it's a given minghao loves to be around you. he loves being able to hold onto you whenever he possibly can and one thing he always does no matter where you are, is hiding his face in the crook of your neck when he giggles. it first started with him wrapping his arms around you and holding you close as if he wanted to hide. and now whenever he finds something even remotely funny, he will turn to you and bury his face in the crook of your neck, his giggles tickling against your skin as pure joy fills the space.

a/n: wrote this at 1am 'cause i couldn't sleep! enjoy :D

the room was filled by screams and yells coming from the anime that was currently playing on the tv, a concentrated hoshi not diverting his eyes from the screen. he suddenly gasped in shock at a random scene, his breath hitting your bare skin as he was laying comfortably with his head in your lap, his cheek squished against your thigh.

while hoshi was still immersed in the show, you had long lost focus and instead had spent the last thirty minutes daydreaming, not paying attention to your boyfriend’s exaggerated reactions.

something had been bothering you for a while now and knowing hoshi, he was probably too invested in the story line to even realize hours had passed so you decided to attract his attention by passing your fingers through his hair, grazing his skin at the nape of his neck.

your boyfriend slowly leaned his head into your palm and wriggled on your shared bed until he was looking at you, his other cheek now being squished against your thigh. he looked up at you with stars in his eyes and a pout on his lips and you couldn’t help but shy away a bit.

when hoshi felt your hand leave his hair, he groaned slightly and slid further on the bed towards you, fully intending to force you to play with his hair. you could only blush and let out a short giggle, making hoshi smile in contentment in return.

a few more minutes passed by, comfortable silence filling the room beside the occasional dialogue of the still ongoing anime. your boyfriend soon turned around to continue watching the show, not without leaving a kiss on your clothed stomach to thank you for the attention.

biting your lip in frustration, you looked down at your lap. you didn’t know how to bring up what was bothering you without feeling like a complete loser. you knew hoshi would listen attentively but you were still quite scared of his reaction.

you hadn’t even realized the episode was over and that another one was starting, your boyfriend turning towards you with a big smile on his face at the first few notes of the catchy opening song, knowing you liked this specific opening. but his smile soon faded and his eyebrows furrowed when he saw you picking at your nails in a nervous manner, your eyes not leaving your lap.

a soft call of your name brought you back to earth and you came face to face with a worried hoshi. you reassured him quickly and pushed his head back down where it originally was. you knew your boyfriend wasn’t a hundred percent convinced so you just stroked his free cheek.

maybe it was the sudden boldness or the way hoshi’s eyes seemed to plead but you opened your mouth, the words leaving as fast as possible.

“do you think i could, maybe, accompany you and woozi to the gym next time?”

a smile took over his face and he immediately relaxed before nodding enthusiastically. “of course you can! it will be fun, you will see!” his body seemed to further bury itself into the covers as he closed his eyes peacefully.

your breath hitched in your throat. it was now or never.

“don’t you think i should lose a bit of weight?”

hoshi shot up from his comfortable position, eyes wide open. he muttered a small “what?” in disbelief. did he really just hear that?

“don’t you think i should lose some weight?” you repeated again, fingers trembling in nervousness.

hoshi was unable to even function correctly, his brain short-circuiting at your words. his mouth widened even more and he sat up straighter when your words started settling in. he inspected your face for any signs that might tell him you were currently joking but hoshi couldn’t find one, realizing you were indeed dead serious.

“what are you even talking about? “you look great!” he was at loss of words, he didn’t believe you just asked him that.

you nodded a bit, not convinced, “you're just saying that to make me happy.”

the look on hoshi’s face was comical, you surely would have laughed if your heart wasn’t threatening to run out of your chest right now. he rapidly turned his whole body towards you, sitting on his knees as a frown took over on his face. “how could you even think that?” he pouted, “i would never lie to you, especially not about this.”

you could feel his eyes burning holes into your skin and took a deep breath, lifting your head to look him in the eyes. hoshi was visibly upset. he thought he had made it very clear he loved the way looked.

when you didn’t reply, he placed a hand on your knee, his thumb running circles on your skin. “yn, baby, i think you look perfect. there’s nothing wrong with your weight, you’re healthy and that’s all that matters.”

he glared at you when a sigh left your mouth, “but i gained a bit of weight recently, doesn’t that bother you?”

you almost whimpered at his hard stare but his eyes soon softened. “it doesn’t matter if you gain or lose weight, i don’t care unless it affects your health. i just want you to feel and be okay, that’s all.” he tilted his head a bit, placing both his hands on your knees and leaning his chin on them. “plus, as long as you’re comfortable and huggable, i’m not complaining.”

the last sentence brought a smile to your face and you hit his arm lightly, hiding your blushing face, “phfff, dumbass.”

hoshi only leaned towards you, placing a wet kiss on your forehead before wrapping you in his arms and throwing a leg over yours, effectively trapping you against him and the covers.

“your dumbass.” he wiggled his eyebrows in a seductive manner and you snorted, hiding your face in his neck and rolling you both over until your head was on his chest.

you exhaled, gripping your boyfriend tighter.

but the calm didn’t last for long as he giggled under you, muttering a quick “attack of the tiger!” before his teeth were on your shoulder.

you could only fight back, screaming and yelling out pleas of help in between laughter as hoshi did his best to keep you trapped against him, wrapping his two legs around your waist and clinging onto you.

“we said no biting, babe!”
