At this moment in time I feel like a gardener. Reaching back in my ancestry as close as my grandfather and beyond who farmed land in the country side hills of Jamaica. I feel like a gardener that went to school both formally and informally collecting seeds, testing waters, seeking the best methodologies for a successful harvest I knew I would grow to see... I collected so many seeds in my time so far. I dropped some along the way, I planted a few prematurely, and even stuck some seeds in my hair for safe keeping as I was taught to do by my ancestors who traveled unwilling in the transatlantic slave trade. The Most High positioned me in Atlanta this time last year when I was seeking fertile ground to develop roots and cultivate my collection of seeds. I had no idea what was to come from this patch of Earth, from this major move in my life, but I knew it would be bountiful and a blessing because I went where the Most High sent for me to go. I'm planting seeds, cultivating land, and nourishing the strongest crops I have to offer one at a time intentionally, strategically, and passionately.
