Another year... Another new age to be...
Yes, I am now 24 years of age, and if I'm honest, birthdays don't feel so special anymore. It used to be so exciting, but now it feels like a painful reminder that I'm older. I'm not doing anything special, I'll probably just order food and watch a movie or something. It would be nice to celebrate it but... making friends as adults feels like an impossible task.
But whatever...

The Love from a Skeleton [Jack Skellington X Reader]
Plot: Halloween... The time of year you absolutely hate. Not because of the ghouls and monsters, you enjoyed that kind of thing, it's because of trick or treaters. They get free candy and whine and complain to their parents if they didn't get what they expected, which is the whole bowl of candy. Anyways, since you don't celebrate that holiday, you decide to go for a late stroll through the woods on the hiking trail. While walking, your whole life changes. And I mean that literally... Everything started to change drastically until you find trees with holiday symbols on it. One of them being a Jack-o-lantern. Being curious, you enter through the door and discover a world that would represent a children's book written by Stephen King. But the leader of this place was a king. Not just any king... A pumpkin king. His name is Jack Skellington. He's a very tall and slender skeleton with a pinstripe suit, a black cat bow tie and ghost dog named Zero. He discovers you and welcomes you to Halloween town until he can figure out how to send you home. But this place is perfect! Epilogue
Previous
Alrighty. This is the final part. Now, there will be two different endings. One where you stay with Jack and the other will be where you go back.
Let's get started...
Where you stay:
A day passed. You made your decision. And that was...
You're staying with Jack.
You loved Jack and he's the first person to accept your love and in turn, loves you as well. Besides, your family can never afford to travel to you so you and your family agreed that you would go to them instead. Since your staying here, you could visit them whenever it's time. Jack left to return the equipment he borrowed from Dr. Finklestein a couple months ago. You saw him making his way back to the tower and mentally prepared yourself to tell him your decision. When he came back, you immediately approached him. "Is something wrong, (Y/n)"?
"I made my decision". Jack looked a bit worried but prepared himself for your answer. "I'm staying here, with you". Jack smiled so big and didn't waste another moment to embrace you tightly. This was the right decision to you. Your life had finally been turned around and you were not about to waste this opportunity. Jack gently head the back of your head and kissed you. So lovely and passionate.
He was truly the one.
"I love you, Jack".
"I love you too, (Y/n)".
That was five days ago. It was now almost time for the new years eve fireworks to launch and you and Jack were hiding in the woods waiting for the local fireworks to launch. You were leaning onto Jack with your head resting on his shoulder. He had one of his long arms wrapped around you and was resting his skull on your head. "Comfy" Jack asked.
"Very" you responded with a smile.
Something then fell out of the sky and landed next to you and Jack. It was a message in a bottle. Both you and Jack looked at each other before you, hesitantly, opened up the bottle. The note read,
"Dear (Y/n),
I really hope you see this as the best decision. I wish you the best of luck on your future. If you ever wish to see your family again, just let me know and I'll you take to them.
Warm regards,
Santa".
Finally, the fireworks went off and it was a perfect view. You snuggled up to Jack and in turn, he held you a bit tighter. "I love you, Jack".
"I love you too, my pumpkin queen".
Where you go back:
A day passed. You made your decision. And that was...
You're going back home.
You loved Jack and he's the first person to accept your love... But, from what it sounds, it sounds like you'll never see your family again. Santa was right. Family comes first.
"I'm choosing to go home. My family is all I have". Jack looked really upset and took your hands in his hands. "I understand, (Y/n). It is your decision". Jack then had a tear fall from his sockets, which didn't make sense he doesn't have tear ducts. "Don't be upset. I'm sure I can visit you all the time and this doesn't mean I don't love you anymore". Jack gently head the back of your head and kissed you. So lovely and passionate.
"No matter what happens, I will always love you (Y/n)".
That was five days ago. It was now almost time for the new years eve fireworks to launch and you were at your parents home which took forever to reach by plane. Ten hours. But you made it. Before the fireworks were about to launch, a message in a bottle was on your bed. Confused, you took the bottle and opened it up. The message read,
"Dear (Y/n),
I know that this decision was difficult to make but you made the right decision. Always remember this, family comes first. I know you truly are in love with Jack and since you helped me, I grant you permission to visit Halloween town whenever you wish. Just don't tell anyone and if you ever wish to go back, head back at night time. You may also visit the other holiday towns if you wish.
Warm regards,
Santa".
You smiled widely knowing you could go back and visit Jack whenever you pleased. You went outside with your family and watched the fireworks and had a late night barbecue. But once it was all over, you couldn't sleep. You were missing Jack too much. You got up and left the house to go into the woods. You needed to see him again. You didn't care what direction you were heading into but something showed up.
The pumpkin tree.
You smiled widely and ran to it and jumped inside. The thought of Jack was fueling your pace as you finally reached Halloween town. None of the monsters were out but you didn't care. You ran all the way to Jacks home and ran up the stairs and knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal Jack who was instantly happy to see you again. You both then embraced so tightly and kissed deeply.
Jack brought you inside and slammed the door. "My love! You came back"!
"For a visit".
Jack's smile faded but still retained his smile on his skull. His love was back. For the rest of the night, you and Jack cuddled with each other and ended up falling asleep. Not much else was remembered from the night before but when you awoke again, you were in your bedroom at your parents home. There was a note on the nightstand. It read,
"Dear (Y/n),
For the first time in a long time, I have found the one thing to fill my void. I have mistaken it for my first expierence of Christmas but that's not what it was. It was you. I finally found the one thing to make me whole, and it's you. (Y/n), I believe that you are my light. My love. My pumpkin queen. I love you so much and I know we can make this work with our distances. I swear to the moon and back that I will never stop loving you. You are very special to me and don't ever hesitate to come see me again. I'll come visit you again tomorrow night.
I love you (Y/n),
Love Jack".
You smiled knowing that he was right. He was indeed your light. He was your true love.
He is...
Your pumpkin king.

Chapter 11
Previous ~ Next
Never before had Jack ran as fast as he was right now. With Zero trailing right behind him, he ran and ran and ran. Not only to get Santa, but to save the love of his immortal life. He finally made it back to Halloween town and started to run back to the town to see if you were at his home. While running, he ran past the tower that the three monster children lived. He heard a scream. But not just any scream. Your scream.
Jack instantly got mad but knew he had to try to remain calm. With Zero right behind him, he shushed him and climbed down the side. He could hear your cries and Oogies cold laughter. He was making the table you and Santa were on slowly turn forward until you would fall into a lave pit that Oogie had opened up. With every pull of the lever, the table would move forward. Jack looked through the bars and saw you and Santa with you tied up and on the metal table. Oogie was so close to having the table turn over into the lava pit that if he pulled it one more time, you would fall in.
"Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. Oh, I'm feeling weak... WITH HUNGER! One more roll of the dice"... He threw the dice at a skeleton that went through its sockets and rolled down on the table. "What!? Snake eyes"!? Oogie slammed his stubs on the table which made the dice roll over. "Eleven"! Looks like I won the jackpot! Bye bye, Doll face"! Oogie pulled the lever all the way and you closed your eyes screamed knowing you were about to die. But death's embrace never came. You felt bony arms catch you and, like the speed of lighting, someone put you and Santa out of the way. When you opened your eyes again, you saw Oogie pulling the table up to reveal Jack which made you ecstatic and deeply relieved. Oogie on the other hand was terrified.
"Hello Oogie".
"J-Jack? But they said you were dead. You must be... DOUBLE DEAD".
Oogie then stepped on a button which made the room turn into this Vegas like torture room. The floor of the pit was spinning around with poker cards that had knives and swords swinging on them. "Come on, bone man". While Oogie was running away from them, Jack was showing off a bit by jumping over them in acrobatic ways. This forced Oogie to try something different and that was to pull a lever and make the poker cards with swords leave and be replaced with animatronic gunman who were about to fire their guns at Jack but he then jumped on top of their guns, balancing himself.
Oogie looked on with suspicion but then realized he was getting close to the gunfire. All while you and Santa were in the far corner watching in disbelief. Oogie jumped and pushed a button which released a saw hanging from a pole to swing down and strike Jack. "Jack! Look out"! Jack heard your cry and turned around to see the saw and jumped out of the way just in time. He landed in front of Oogie but Oogie grabbed onto the pole going up but a string from his sack was caught on something as he was going up. "So long, Jack"! Oogie laughed but Jack caught the extending string and pulled it as he said, "How dare you treat my friends so SHAMEFULLY"!?
When Jack kept pulling the string, Oogies body was pulled off to reveal the inside off his body. Bugs upon bugs upon bugs were piled together to form his size. "Look what you've done! My bugs"! He kept repeating "my bugs" until all of the bugs fell into the still opened lava pit. Jack closed the pit but one bug remained as he started crawling away but it was stomped on by Santa. Jack came forward to Santa and as he offered him his hat back, he said, "Forgive me Mr. Claus. I believe I've made a terrible mess of your holiday"-
"Bumpy sleigh ride", Santa snatched the hat from Jack, "Jack, the next time you get to steal someone else's holiday, I'd listen to her" Santa pointed at you, "She's the only one who makes any sense around this insane asylum". Santa put his hat back on and muttered "Skeletons" in annoyance. "I hope there's still time" Jack said.
"To fix Christmas? Of course there is! I'm Santa Claus"! Santa then grabbed his nose and floated up through an open tube in the ceiling. Honestly, after everything you've seen, it doesn't surprise that something that bizarre would happen. "He'll fix things Jack. He knows what to do". Jack didn't say anything but quickly embraced you tightly. You hugged back and felt your cheeks get heated. "I was worried about you. I should've known better than to do any of this".
"You were just over thinking, that's all. But how come you never asked me anything about Christmas"? Jack pulled back and had the look of shock. "You celebrate it"?
"Of course. I go to my parents house and spend Christmas with them. It's a tradition". Jack then felt like the biggest idiot in the universe. You were a human and not once did it ever occur to him that you knew what the holiday was and how it was celebrated. How could he be so blind? "I can't believe that I never-"
Jack was cutoff from talking by a spotlight and the mayor with Lock, Shock and Barrel. "Jack"!
"Jack"!
"Here he is"!
"Alive"!
"Just like we said"!
The mayor threw a rope down for you and Jack. "Grab a hold my boy". Jack got a hold of the rope and offered you his bony hand like a true gentleman. You accepted his offer and both of you were lifted up and out of Oogie's lair. Meanwhile, Santa was going all over the world to undo what Jack did at the speed of light. From getting rid of the monster toys to giving candy and proper toys, Christmas cheer was truly in the air. Even still in Halloween town, the monsters kept up their spirit of Christmas. As the mayors vehicle drove back into the town, the monsters broke into song once again. It was more of Christmas tone than a Halloween tone.
La la la la lalala la x2
Jack's back
and he's back okay
He's alright
Let's shout
Make a fuss
Scream it out
Wee!
As Jack walked up the stairs to see the mayor who had beaten him to the top already, and shook his hand.
Jack is back now everyone sing
In our town of Halloween
"It's great to be home"! Just as Jack said those words a familiar hearty laugh was heard from up above. Santa was flying by and caused snow to pour on Halloween town. "Happy Halloween" Santa said as he flew by.
"Merry Christmas" Jack said as he waved him off. Not long after that, the citizens broke out into song again.
What's this x2
I haven't got a clue
What's this
Why it's completely new
What's this
Must be a Christmas thing
What's this
It's really very strange
Now the citizens were already engaging in snow activities such as hockey, making snow angels and having snowball fights. You were just standing around and it got you thinking of when you were younger. You would always enjoy the snow and spend time with your family outside at your old home.
Family?
Home?
Without warning, you decided to head out through the gate and go to the spiral hill. You needed to think for little bit. As you walked, the memories of home and family were flooding into your mind and it was becoming overwhelming. You finally made it to the top of the hill and didn't hesitate to give into falling down on your knees and sobbing. You missed home but you were also in love with someone. How are you supposed to tie those together when one is not supposed to be seen or heard of? You kept crying until you heard a soothing voice from behind that was all too familiar.
Jack.
My dearest friend
If you don't mind
I'd like to join you by your side
You stood up and looked him in his sockets.
Where we can gaze into the stars
You could feel the rhythm of his tune and somehow knew what his next words would be. Because of this, you sang along with him as he started getting closer to you.
And sit together
Now and forever
For it is plain
As anyone can see
Jack was now in front of you as he held your hands in his.
We're simply meant to be
You both felt a deep connection in that moment and your feelings towards one another was enough for the both of you to wrap your arms around each other and kiss. His mouth closed in to match the shape of your lips and when it made contact, an explosion of joy erupted inside your heart. He was the one. He was your soul mate. What was even better was that he had the same feeling as you. After you both pulled back from your kiss, you both looked at each other with smiles on your faces. "Jack"?
"(Y/n)"?
"I love you".
Jack smiled lovingly and said "I love you too". The two of you then embraced each other but something then hit your head. You pulled back and saw that it was a message. You picked it up and read it aloud.
"Dear (Y/n),
As much as you are happy, you have a choice to make. You may be in love but you also have a family. A family you rarely see that love you very much. What's more important? A relationship that won't last or your family? You'll have until tomorrow to give me a response. Make the right decision.
Santa".
You looked at Jack and shook your head. "I love you Jack, but... My family". Jack didn't know what to say. As much as it pains him, he knew that Santa was right. He would feel more villainous if he kept you from your family. "I can't keep you from your family (Y/n)-"
"Jack. It's my decision. I just need time to think this over".
"Of course (Y/n). Come, we can head back to my home". You smiled and took a hold of Jack's bony hand as you both walked down the spiral hill. This is a difficult decision. You don't see your family often and only see them on special occasions. You lived alone in a single home with only yourself inhabiting the home. It was a lonely life but if you did stay with Jack, you would be happy again but it sounds like you would never see your family again but also if you did choose to go back to your lonely life, it also sounds like you would never see Jack again. And you could never leave your first love.
But Santa is right...
Love or family?

Chapter 10
Previous ~ Next
Jack has been delivering presents for awhile and thinks he's doing an amazing job. Many houses were given presents of horror and monsters. No joy, no cheer and no Christmas spirit. The citizens were blocking their fireplaces, locking doors, boarding up windows, calling the police and hiding away. Jack was still out and about on his sleigh with Zero leading the skeleton reindeer.
High up in the sky, search lights were lit up and Jack took them as a sign that the citizens were looking for him and were firing fireworks in celebration of him. "Look Zero, search lights! They're celebrating! They're thanking us for doing such a good job"! They kept firing the canons up into the sky and one nearly hit the sleigh. "Careful down there! It's okay Zero, head higher"!
Jack kept pressing onward and checked the list to see who was next to receive their nightmare presents. "Who's next on my list? Ahh, little Harry and Jordan. Won't they be surprised"! As Jack kept going, more canons were shot and were aimed at the sleigh. It was all being pieced together in Jack's skull. They're trying to hit him!
"They're trying to hit us! Zero"! Jack tried to dodge the oncoming canons but to many were fired and his sleigh was hit. The sleigh was destroyed on impact as Jack fell to the ground with his cries as fell. All of Halloween town was watching through the fountain and were devastated and shocked. The mayor had his sad face as he went to his car to announce the terrible news. "Terrible news, folks! The worst tragedy of our time! Jack has been blown to smithereens"!
The mayor kept repeating that as he kept driving around Halloween town to tell everyone. He kept driving and driving along when he was 100 feet away from the place you were being held. He repeated what he kept saying and when you heard "Jack has been blown to smithereens"! Your heart stopped. You weren't believing any of this. "No! NOOOO! JACK! NOOOOOOO"! Oogie then went up to you and slapped you hard with his stubby hand. "Shut up! Your bone man is dead... GET OVER IT"!
"Attention, attention citizens. Terrible news. There's still no sign of Santa Claus. Although the imposter has been shot down, it looks like Christmas will have to be cancelled this year. I repeat, the imposter..." The police men said as they drived slowly through the neighborhoods to let everyone know. A crash site in the nearby cemetery, Jack laid upon an angel statue in disarray and shame. What he thought was joy was horror. It does sound like something he should be proud of but it was not at all what he intended.
He wanted to feel like himself again, but instead felt deep shame. Which lead to him to sing in sorrow.
What have I done? x2
How could I be so blind?
All is lost, where was I?
Spoiled all x2
Everything's gone all wrong
What have I done? x2
Find a deep cave to hide in
In a million years they'll find me
Only dust and a plaque
That reads, "Here Lies Poor Old Jack"
But I never intended all this madness, never
Jack leaned up and his tone in his song turned from shameful to mad confusion.
And nobody really understood, how could they?
That all I ever wanted was to bring them something great
Why does nothing ever turn out like it should?
His tone changed again to sincere.
Well, what the heck, I went and did my best
And, by God, I really tasted something swell
And for a moment, why, I even touched the sky
And at least I left some stories they can tell, I did
His tone changed was now more about him.
And for the first time since I don't remember when
I felt just like my aold bony self again
And I, Jack, the Pumpkin King
Jack then ripped the remaining torn and burnt sewn Santa suit from his form.
That's right, I am the Pumpkin King, ha, ha, ha
And I just can't wait until next Halloween
'Cause I've got some new ideas
That will really make them scream
And, by God I'm really gonna give it all my might
Just then, he remembered that Santa would be the only one who could fix everything.
Uh oh, I hope there's still time to set things right
Sandy Claws, hmm
Jack then went to the angel statue and opened up two double doors on the statues. When suddenly, a voice went racing through his mind. A message. 'Jack... Help me! Please!' The voice sounded familiar...
"(Y/n)"! Jack then raced off through the tunnel as fast as his long legs could run. He didn't want anything happening to you. For once in his immortal life, Jack was scared. He was scared of losing you. It's obvious he doesn't have a soul but he knew what he was feeling. Fear and love. He's scared of losing you and is now self aware that he's in love with you.
He now doesn't just have the objective of helping Santa... He now will do whatever it takes to save the love of his immortal life. And that love...
Is you...

Chapter 9
Previous ~ Next
After awhile, you finally made it back to the town to see everyone standing around enjoying the music and talking to each other about how excited they were for Christmas to start. You tried looking for Jack but he was nowhere in sight. Suddenly the coffin on the makeshift sleigh that the monsters made opened up to reveal Jack in his suit ready to take off. You were about to call out his name but then remembered you had something stored in your pocket.
Fog juice.
The fountain was next to you so you got down and carefully poured all of the juice into the fountain. You didn't know how much fog it would produce but if you pour the while thing in it, it might give enough time to stop Jack to warn him of Oogie Boogie. The mayor got up on the podium by the sleigh and pulled out a piece of paper. "Think of us as you soar triumphantly through the sky outshining every star. Your silhouette a dark blot on the moon, you who are our pride, you who are our glory, you who have frightened billions into an early grave".
You looked over and saw that the fog was building and was getting worse. "Who have eh, devastated the souls of the living..."
"Oh no! We can't take off in this! The reindeer can't see an inch in front of their noses". You sighed deeply knowing that now he can't leave. "This fog's as thick as, as-" the vampires said but were cut off by the cyclops, "Jelly brains".
"Thicker" the Vampires exclaimed. Jack sat down on his sleigh with a long sad face and said, "There go all of my hopes, my precious plans, my glorious dreams". One of the other monster children started to cry and said, "There goes Xmas". You were about to talk to Jack but were cut off by Zero barking at Jack to get his attention. "No Zero, down boy". Jack looked up and said, "My, what a brilliant nose you have. The better to light my way! To the head of the team, Zero"!
Oh no!
Zero flew to the front of the reindeer with his bright red nose and before you could stop Jack, he whipped his whip and started to fly away. "We're off"!
"Wait Jack, no" you said trying to stop him but he wasn't listening. Jack then flies out of sight as the monsters cheering and Jack could be heard saying "ho ho ha ha ha". You felt horrible about all of this and as you walked away, you said, "Good bye Jack, my dearest Jack. Oh how I hope my dream is wrong". There was deep feeling in your heart. The thought of Jack was racing through your mind and making you feel a warm feeling and made you feel happy but sad that he was carrying out with his plan.
The monsters of Halloween town have gave off the talent to you of singing about how you feel. You felt sad. You then felt the urge to sing. Without resisting, you let the lyrics out with the band playing along with your lyrics. It was like they knew what was coming next.
I sense there's something in the air
That feels like tragedys at hand
And though I'd like to stand by him
Can't shake this feeling that I have
The worst is just around the bend
You approached one of the gates and held onto the bars in sorrow. You kept singing with, now, a few tears falling from your eyes. You then started to sing about Jack.
And does he notice my feelings for him?
And will he see how much he means to me?
I think it's not to be
You looked up as you continued to sing and saw a black cat. You stepped through the gate and walked towards the cat who was now on the slanting pillar with ledges.
What will become of my dear friend?
Where will his actions lead us then?
Although I'd like to join the crowd
In their enthusiastic cloud
Try as I may, it doesn't last
You got down on your knees and the cat jumped down for you to pet it. You gave it a few pets before picking it up to have it rest on your knee as it let out a 'meow'. The cat then jumped off and ran away.
And will we ever end up together?
No, I think not, it's never to become
For I am not the one
The music stopped and you felt more tears pour from your cheeks. You felt like this was all your fault. You looked back through the gates and could just barely see everyone still in a cheerful mood. You fell back down and felt useless. But a small idea came to mind. This could work! You grabbed a couple rocks and ran off to find Oogie Boogie again. The only person who could help was Santa!
You kept running with determination and after awhile, you made it to the building. You climbed back down the side and saw Oogie in front of him. You prepared the rocks and got in a position of where they were right below you. "Are you a gamblin' man Sandy? Lets play". You threw a rock away in a far corner and Oogie looked over to what the sound was. "My my? What have we here"? He walked over the source of the noise and you were able to grab a hold of the rope. You gently tugged it and Santa looked up to see you.
"I'll get you out of here" you said quietly. Oogie was looking in the corners crevices but didn't see anything. You threw another rock in a different corner and he was now confused and annoyed. "Come out, come out" he said. You tried pulling the rope up but Santa was too heavy. You were about to throw your last rock but it slipped from your grasp and fell to the ground. Oogie turned around and saw you trying to pull Santa out. "WHAT!? YOU TRY TO MAKE A DUPE OUT OF ME"!?
Oogie then started to inhale air with a loud scream as he was now pulling you and Santa towards him. You tried fighting the pull but it was too powerful. You couldn't fight it anymore and went flying towards him. He caught you and held you by the arm strongly. "Well, well, well, if this is the one that Jack talks about, then he's a liar"!
"Liar" you asked.
"Your hideous! He's an idiot if he likes this"! You knew he wasn't saying that you were beautiful. You knew he was speaking in literal terms. "You"? You looked over at Santa who said that and he then said, "You were the one that one of my elves saw leave their room and your missing from your world. You need to go back home, now"!
"Does she? I don't think so". Oogie got close to your face and said menacingly, "Your... not... going... ANYWHERE"! He then took you and Santa and tied your hands and legs so you couldn't run. He placed you and Santa on a table and laughed in a evil way again. You started to cry again. All you want is to go home and Jack.
Jack..?
You kept thinking of him and just want him to save you. You need him now more than ever but all he's doing is probably ruining Christmas. But that deep feeling in your chest was now confirmed...
As love.
This was being processed in your head. Your in love. Your in love with Jack, the pumpkin king. You didn't know if he felt the same but you knew that yo did indeed love him. But is he going to notice your gone?
'Help me, Jack' you thought to yourself.
'Please'...

Chapter 8
Previous ~ Next
After returning to Jack, you told him that you were going to go take a walk. He offered to go with you but you said you wished to be alone for awhile. He understood but he gave off that vibe that he was confused. You left the town gates with Jack constantly reminding you to be careful. You didn't know how you were going to find the three monster children but you had to try.
You went down the path they went and you had a feeling that it would take awhile until you probably find them but you didn't want to give up. They were probably going to hurt Santa! You were told he doesn't exist but now that you were proven wrong, you couldn't let him get hurt. After mindless minutes of mindless walking, you came across a strange structure. It looked really feeble and didn't look sturdy. Maybe this was it. You start walking towards it and then hear shouting and arguing. There was a long pipe that went down and there was something inside it going down it screaming.
It was Santa!
You ran towards it and found a way to climb down the side of the large pit to find a bars showing you inside. Santa fell to the floor with his hands restrained over his head. Music was heard and you saw a pair of dice thrown at him. You looked towards of where the dice was thrown and couldn't believe what you saw. A fat sack with small stubs for feet and arms that had no hands. He had two eyeless sockets and his whole body was, as I said, a sack. He started to sing a song with a bit of a catchy tune.
Well, well, well, what have we here?
Sandy Claws, huh?
Oh, I'm really scared
So you're the one everybody's talkin' about, ha, ha
Bugs were dangling out of his mouth and some of them fell into Santas beard. Gross.
You're jokin' x2
I can't believe my eyes
You're jokin' me, you gotta be
This can't be the right guy
Oogie spun Santa in a small circle and held him by the beard.
He's ancient, he's ugly
I don't know which is worse
I might just split a seam now
If I don't die laughing first
Santa was being lifted up and dropped on a spinner and spun around and was stopped only to be swayed like he was dancing with Oogie. Geez, this monster was weird.
When Mr. Oogie Boogie says
There's trouble close at hand
You'd better pay attention now
'Cause I'm the Boogie Man
And if you aren't shakin'
Then there's something very wrong
A snake popped out of his mouth in a sudden way. Eww!
'Cause this may be the last time now
That you hear the boogie song, ohhh
Not only was Oogie singing, there were other creatures down here that sang along with the song. Such as other skeletons and bats.
OOGIE BOOGIE:
Ohhh
THREE SKELETONS:
Ohhh
OOGIE BOOGIE:
Ohhh
OTHER SKELETONS:
Ohhh
OOGIE BOOGIE:
Ohhh
THREE BATS:
Ohhh
OOGIE BOOGIE:
I'm the Oogie Boogie Man
Santa then started to talk but it seemed like he was singing along but it was obvious it was unintentional. Three jackpot machines that looked like cowboys with guns were moving towards Santa about to shoot him but Oogie quickly grabbed him before they actually shot him.
SANTA:
Release me now
Or you must face the dire consequences
The children are expecting me
So please, come to your senses
OOGIE BOOGIE:
You're jokin' x2
I can't believe my ears
Would someone shut this fella up
Oogie spun Santa around fast and kicked him as fell backwards back to where he was laying when he was almost shot.
I'm drownin' in my tears
It's funny, I'm laughing
You really are too much
And now, with your permission
I'm going to do my stuff
Oogie got down real close to his face and had the same snake pop out two more times. It made you think what was he made of. Snakes? Bugs?
SANTA:
What are you going to do?
OOGIE BOOGIE:
I'm gonna do the best I can
The whole room then lit up to look like a vegas casino.
Oh, the sound of rollin' dice
To me is music in the air
'Cause I'm a gamblin' Boogie Man
Although I don't play fair
It's much more fun, I must confess
When lives are on the line
Not mine, of course, but yours, old boy
Now that'd be just fine
Oogie then grabbed a hook that was attached to a rope and the rope was attached to the ceiling. He slipped the hook on Santas hands and lifted him into the air. Stage lights were turned on to male the whole thing more dramatic than it already was.
SANTA:
Release me fast or you will have to
Answer for this heinous act
Oogie was spinning a lever to make Santa come back down to his eye level.
OOGIE BOOGIE:
Oh, brother, you're something
You put me in a spin
You aren't comprehending
The position that you're in
It's hopeless, you're finished
You haven't got a prayer
'Cause I'm Mr. Oogie Boogie
And you ain't going nowhere
Oogie then laughed in an evil way and from up above, you heard the three monster children cackle loudly. You knew you had to get out of here to quickly warn Jack. You quickly climbed back up and once you reached the top, you ran as fast as you could. While running, you felt like this whole thing was your fault. If you hadn't discovered those doors, you wouldn't be here right now. It made you feel horrible. But right now, you had to get to Jack.
And fast...

Chapter 7
Previous ~ Next
Some time went by and Jack was still pressing forward with his plan. Even the citizens of Halloween town were just as determined as Jack because they were making monster toys, they changed the countdown clock from it being to Halloween to Christmas and they were even changing the appearance of Halloween town. Jack didn't have a sewing machine for you to borrow so you had to borrow Dr. Finklesteins and when you got to his laboratory, he was ten times more creepier than when you last saw him.
Anyways, Jack had set up an individual work area for you. Making Jacks santa suit was more difficult than you thought. When you had to take measurements of his body, you had to keep double checking every single time when you were sewing to make sure you didn't mess up. As you were sewing, you heard the people of Halloween town were making music and were about to start singing.
Again... Man, these monsters sure do love singing.
This time x2
Making Christmas x4
Is so fine
It's ours this time
And won't the cildren be surprised
It's ours this time
The other monster children were smashing and cutting the heads off of toys. The witches were making what looked like stew but then that fish monster popped out of the pot which meant it was disgusting.
Making Christmas x3
Time to give them something fun
They'll talk about for years to come
Let's have a cheer from everyone
It's time to party
The vampires were making toys as well. They were currently putting the finishing touches on a duck but it had sharp teeth, bloody bullet holes and was on a skateboard. What? The worst part is that it sang a verse from the song.
Making Christmas x2
Snakes and mice get wrapped up so nice
With spiders legs and pretty bows
It's ours this time
Three monsters were carving the face of a demonic Mickey mouse with sharp teeth, a suit and it was super creepy.
All together, that and this
With all our tircks we're
Making Christmastime
"Here comes jack" said the werewolf. You looked to the gates of his house and saw him and he looked surprised and happy. He spoke in song with happiness and was ecstatic about all of this.
I don't believe what's happening to me
My hopes
My dreams
My fantasies
Hee, hee, hee, hee
Jack then walks over to a monster who had one of the musicians in a pillory as he was making a hat out of a rat.
Won't they be impressed
I am a genius
See how I transform the old rat Into a most delightful hat
Jack appeared next to him and offered his suggestion.
Hmm, my compliments from me to you
On this your most intriguing hat
Consider though this substitute
A bat in place of this old rat
Jack then went over to the monster whose skin was constantly melting and very sticky.
Huh! No, no, no, now that's all wrong
This thing will never make a present
It's been dead for much too long
Try something fresher, something pleasant
Try again, don't give up
All of the monsters then went back to singing.
All together
That and this
With all our tricks
We're making Christmastime
With everything happening in Halloween town, it made you think of what was happening in Christmas town. You could picture the elves making or sewing toys or stuffed animals. They were also probably making gingerbread cookies and stuffing the stockings. You could also picture them cleaning the sleigh and putting all the toys in the sleigh. You brought out of your thoughts by more singing from the monsters.
This time x2
Making Christmas x2
La, la, la
It's almost here
And we can't wait
So ring the bells and celebrate
'Cause when the full moon starts to climb
We'll all sing out
Jack then finished off the song by singing...
It's Christmastime
Hee, hee, hee
Then out of nowhere, three skeleton reindeer appeared behind Jack and it this whole thing was getting worse and worse.
More time went by until Christmas was tomorrow. Jack was currently having you do the final stiches on his Santa outfit. "You don't look like yourself, Jack. Not at all" you said as you were stitching the sleeve if his outfit as he was wearing it. "Isn't that wonderful! It couldn't be more wonderful"!
You stopped stitching and pulled down the picture of his drawing of him in a Santa outfit and flipped it over to show him as who he truly was. The pumpkin king. "But your the pumpkin king"! He took the picture from you and snapped it into two on his knee. "Not anymore! I feel so much better now"!
You sighed and continued to stitch and talk. "Jack, I know you think that something's missing-"
You were cut off from talking when you accidentally poked the tip of his bony finger with the needle. "Ow"!
"Sorry"!
"It's alright, (Y/n). But you're right. Something is missing. But what? I've got the beard, the coat, the boots, the-"
Jack was cut off when the three monster children, Lock, Shock and Barrel, came back after being gone for some time with a walking bathtub and the same giant sack they used when they brought the Easter bunny here. "Jack! Jack! This time we bagged him" they all said simultaneously. "This time we really did"!
"He sure is big, Jack"!
"And heavy"! Lock and Shock then opened the sack and out popped Santas head as he said, "Let me out"! Everyone gasped in shock, and so did you. You were always told he wasn't real. How? "Sandy Claws... In person", said Jack as he then proceeded to take a hold of Santas hand, "What a pleasure to meet you"! As Jack was shaking his hand, he noticed his hand. You saw it too and it was small. You never would've guessed that. "Wh-why you have hands! You don't have claws at all"! Santa lifted his hat from his eyes and stared in horror of what he saw. The monsters and horrendous atmosphere. "Where am I"?
"Surprised aren't you" asked Jack, "You don't need to have another worry about Christmas this year"! Santa was so confused and couldn't find the right words to speak. "Consider this a vacation, Sandy. A reward. It's your turn to take an easy"!
"But there must be some mistake" Santa protested.
"See that he's comfortable" said Jack. Lock and Shock were about to close the sack again until Jack stopped them. "Just a second"! You were hoping that Jack had finally come to his senses but... No. "Of course! That's what I'm missing"! Jack had taken Santas hat off of him and placed it on his skull. "Thanks".
Santa kept trying to protest but the three monster children tied the sack back up and started to leave. Jack was practicing his Santa laugh and this was getting way worse and worse. Especially for Santa. You quickly followed after the children and stopped near the gate when you heard them say, "Where are we taking him"?
"Where"?
"To Oogie Boogie of course! There isn't anywhere in the whole world more comfortable than that! And Jack said to make him comfortable, didn't he"?
"Yes he did" said Shock and Barrel.
"Haven't you heard of peace on earth? And good will toward men"?
"No" the three monster children said devilishly. They laughed and cackled as they took Santa away. You wanted to follow them but you then heard Jack call out to you. You quickly ran back to the fountain and saw him looking worried but he then look relaxed and relieved when he saw you. "There you are! I was starting to worry where you were".
"Sorry Jack".
"Don't apologize, my dear. Now, why don't you go return Dr. Finklesteins sewing machine to him. You've completed the suit and it fits me perfectly"!
"Sure. I'll be back" you said. As you retrieved the machine, you started to head to Dr. Finklesteins laboratory. The machine was a bit heavy but luckily his laboratory was only a short distance. You opened the door and headed up the long spiral staircase. When you reached the top, you heard Dr. Finklesteins voice call out, "Hello? Who is there"? You looked over and saw him wheel over to you. "Ah! (Y/n), was it? How can I help you"?
"Hi doctor. I'm here to return your sewing machine".
"Right. Go ahead and put it back in the room it was in. You know, you can keep it if want".
"Thank you again for the offer, but as I've said already, I do not wish to keep it". He sighed and said, "Very well. The room is over there". He then wheeled off and you went to the large room and put the machine on the table. You decided to look around the room and saw a cabinet. Being curious, you opened it up and saw jars that some of then read as "Nightshade", "Frogs breath" and "Fog juice".
Wait a second... Fog juice???
That sounded very intriguing so you snatched it and closed the cabinet. You quickly left the laboratory and went back to Jack. But you had a question that's been bothering you for some time.
Who's Oogie Boogie?
That's a very odd name but considering all the other names you've heard while you were here didn't really surprise you. But your curiosity was to big to resist. You had to know.
You had to...

Chapter 6
Previous ~ Next
After you had breakfast that Jack made, which he did an amazing job on since he found a cook book from your world, you both went down to the the same building where Jack first introduced you and Christmas to the citizens of Halloween town. It was decided by Jack that everyone in Halloween town would have special roles to play to help make their version of Christmas more special and to help speed up the process. You stood off to the side as Jack was explaining what he was handing to each monster.
While you weren't really paying attention, you then hear a sound that came from a baby doll. It sounded a bit strange to you and even to the vampires. "What kind of noise is that for a baby to make"?
"Perhaps it can be improved" Jack suggested.
"No problem".
"I knew it! Doctor, thank you for coming". You then see a monster you haven't seen yet and boy did he look creepy. He was as white as Jack's skull, had small hands, a mouth similar to that of a crocodile, wore rubber gloves on his tiny hands, small glasses that looked like they're from the matrix, wore a lab coat and was in a motorized wheelchair. He was surely the creepiest one yet. "We need some of these". You couldn't see what Jack was showing this monster but before you could ask to see, the monster said, "Their construction should be exceedingly simple, I think".
"How horrible our Christmas will be" said the mayor with joy.
"Nooo", Jack said correcting the mayor when his face then switched over to being that scared and worried face, "How Jolly"!
"Oh. How 'jolly' our Christmas will be". Immediately after he said that, objects were then thrown at the mayor and when you looked to where it came from, it was from three little monsters. Three new ones that wore masks which were a devil, a skeleton and a witch. They looked like children to be honest. "What are you doing here"?
"Jack sent for us" said the devil.
"Specifically" said the witch.
"By name" said the skeleton.
"Lock".
"Shock".
"Barrel".
"Jack! Jack, it's Oogies boys". Jack looked over and smiled delightfully when he saw the small monsters. "Ah, Halloweens finest trick or treaters. The job I have for you that is top secret. It requires craft, cunning, mischief".
"And we thought you didn't like us, Jack" said Shock. The three of them then started laughing mischievously. It was enough for you to realize that they can't be trusted. "Absolutely no one must know about this. Not a soul! Now..."
Jack then started whispering to the three about what his plan was and you tried listening in but it was really difficult to listen in. Dang, Jack was an expert at being quiet. I guess that's why he's the pumpkin king. The mayor also tried listening in but also failed. He thought he could use his megaphone as a way to hear better by placing it up to his ear, which by the way, he looks like he doesn't even have ears. It wasn't working for him so he thought there was something wrong with it and stuck his hand into his megaphone only to get his finger bitten by a spider. "Ow"! He placed the spider back on his shirt was now acting as a bow tie.
This place was just weird but awesome at the same time.
"And another thing. Leave that no account Oogie Boogie OUT OF THIS" said Jack.
"Whatever you say Jack".
"Of course, Jack".
"Wouldn't dream of it Jack". All three of them put one of their hands behind thier back and when you looked over, they had their fingers crossed. You felt like they would do something terrible and somehow Jack didn't notice. The three monster children noticed you and went over to get a better look at you.
"Who is she"?
"She's strange and different".
"She's hideous".
You felt like they were making fun of you as they stood around you and when you were going to abject and yell at them for being so rude, Jack said, "Oh, this is (Y/n). She's new to Halloween town". The three monster children cackled and then ran off. "Rude" you muttered to yourself. Jack heard you and asked, "What's wrong (Y/n)? Did Lock, Shock and Barrel say something wrong"?
"They just called me ugly"!
"Uhm... They said that you were hideous and... Oh! Let me explain. Hideous here means beautiful, so they called you beautiful". You didn't understand but the more you thought about it, it made more sense. Things were supposed to be creepy here and they all embraced it. After understanding this you decided to do something that made you really question this place and it's logic. "Well then Jack, I think your hideous". He had a blush appear on his skull. That surprised you and he smiled shyly and he said, "And I you, (Y/n)".
The line of monsters was getting shorter and it was now at the point of where you tried to stay awake. Jack was completely over thinking everything when it came to Christmas. For example, this...
Jack was holding a string of bells and said, "It goes something like this". Jack then tapped the bells in the tune of 'Jingle Bells'. "How about it? Think you can manage"?
The three monsters that played instruments then started to play the tune but it was incredibly off key and sounded so depressing and cringy. It ended on a high note and it was so loud that it woke the mayor up from a small nap he was having. "Next"!
"Fantastic! Now why don't you all you practice on that and we'll be in great shape"! The next monster was the monster with the axe in his head. "This device is called 'a nut cracker'-".
"Jack! Jack! We caught him! We caught him" said the three monster children.
"Perfect! Open it, quickly"! The three monster children then opened the sack and out popped the easter bunny that was pink with a ribbon around him that read "Happy Easter" and he also held an easter basket with eggs inside. "That's not Sandy Claws".
"It isn't"?
"Who is it"?
The bunny then hopped over to you and the monster with an axe in his head. The monster pointed at the bunny and said, "Bunny"! The bunny got scared and jumped back into the sack. "Not Sandy Claws! Take him back"!
"We followed your instructions".
"We went through the door".
"Which door" asked Jack with slight anger, "theres more than one". Jack then pulled out a Christmas tree cookie, "Sandy Claws is behind the door shaped like this"!
"I told you"! The three monster children then started to fight each other in the way that siblings would fight. Jack was getting annoyed by this and since you couldn't see what he was doing, he then roared at the children which made them stare in horror. "I'm very sorry for the inconvenience sir" said Jack to the Easter bunny. "Take him home first! And apologize again! Be careful with Sandy Claws when you fetch him. Treat him nicely"!
"Got it".
"We'll get it right..."
"Next time".
Jack turned back to the monster with an axe in his head and finished up with him and he was the last monster in the line. "Well, that's everybody". You mentally cheered but then heard Jack sigh in disappointment. "What's wrong, Jack"? He showed you a drawing of him in a Santa outfit that would fit him perfectly. "My Sandy Claws outfit. I don't have anyone else to make it for me. No one else knows how to sew in our town". He had a huge frown form on his skull and that hit you hard. "Jack"?
"Yes"?
"Maybe... I could make it"? Jack's frown turned into a bright and happy grin. "You really think you can"?
"Sure. I took a sewing class when I was ten and I'm confident I can pull it off". Jack then, without warning, pulled you into a tight embrace of relief and happiness. "Thank you so much (Y/n)! How long do you think it'll take"?
"I'm not sure. Probably a couple days before Christmas if I'm honest. If I rush it then it may not come out right".
"Of course, I understand". Jack hugged you again. "Thank you so much (Y/n). This means so much to me". You hugged back and you still thought that this whole thing was a bad idea. How does something that's terrifying combine with something that's meant to be joyful? Simple answer...
It doesn't.
But Jack won't understand and even if you tried to explain he still wouldn't listen. But you were a supportive person and had to help Jack with this Christmas thing. But you still had that terrible feeling in your stomach and you kept remembering that dream you had about that tiny Christmas tree. It really did seem like the foreseeable outcome if Jack stays on this path but there's no stopping him.
He's determined...

Chapter 5
Previous ~ Next
After the town meeting, you were starting to get tired from everything that's happened. Jack offered his home to you and said you could stay as long as you wanted. You thanked him for his hospitality and could now trust Jack completely since he's now proven that's he a true gentleman.
Or in this case, a gentle skeleton.
He provided you his room and when you told him it was unnecessary, and tried to deny his offer, he told you once again that he didn't mind a single bit. You were his guest and he wanted you be comfortable to the fullest extent. Jack stayed up reading Christmas books and even decorated his home with Christmas decorations.
It seemed a bit strange but kinda cute, to be honest. Once again Jack set a book aside and said, "Theres got to be a logical way to explain this Christmas thing"? You wanted to tell him but he then pulled out a book that said 'The Scientific method'. You smiled since he was taking this whole thing to literally but you didn't want to intervene. After a moment, you started to get tired and you settled down by the fireplace. Jack noticed and said, "Are you tired"? You nodded and Jack stood up and offered his hand to you.
You took his hand and he led you to a room. There was a large bed and you instantly figured out that it was his bed. "Oh no, I can't take your bed".
"Oh thats ridiculous, I insist you do".
"Then where will you sleep"?
"In my chair of course" he said with a smile.
"I'm sorry Jack, but I'm not taking your bed just so you can sleep in a chair. Please take your bed". Jack took your hands in his bony hands and said in a comforting voice, "It's alright. I promise I don't mind". You sighed and saw no end to this. Jack then said, "Go ahead and get your rest, I'll see you in the morning". Jack then carefully closed the door and you sat along the bed. You started to think about everything that's happened today. Your in a new world thats all about holidays.
Does that make sense to you... because it shouldn't.
When you woke up in the morning, you saw that Jack was gone. He left a note on his side of the bed that read,
"Dear (Y/n),
I went out to retrieve some equipment from Dr. Finklestien. I didn't want to disturb you while you slept. I'll be back soon.
-Jack".
You put the note aside and got up to leave the room. A familiar barking sound caught your attention and you saw Zero flying towards you, looking happy to see you. "Good morning, Zero". You went over to the large window that overlooked the small town. It was more eerie in the morning than it was at night. It reminded you of a early morning in mid January, gloomy and chilly. You didn't mind, if anything, it reminded you of home.
Home...
You then thought about your home and hoping it's still vacant and also hoping no one broke inside. "(Y/n)? Zero? I'm home". You looked over and saw Jack walking the spiral staircase. "Welcome home, Jack".
"Thank you (Y/n). How did you sleep"?
"I slept fine, thank you. What's that stuff for"?
"Oh! I'm conducting a series of experiments". You looked at him curiously but he then placed the case on the table and pulled out test tubes and other pieces of equipment. All of this just for trying to analyze Christmas? To name a few of the things he did for experiments was putting a small berry from a mistletoe and looking at it under a microscope only to have it crushed. He stuck a candy cane in a pot of what was believed to be boiling water with voltages and when he pulled it out again, it was nothing more than white and wet noodle. He attempted to make a snowflake but made Halloween flake with a spider as the shape. He also cut open the stomach of a teddy bear to examine the stuffing.
He's been doing it for hours and seemed to forget about you. He may have also forgotten, or maybe didn't know, that humans require three things. Food, water and air. In your case, it's the first two. You were getting parched and starting to starve. You wanted to tell Jack your needs but he was so enamored with Christmas and not paying any attention to you. Zero flew over to you with a smile but then heard your stomach growl. He look worried and then flew over to Jack and barked at him. Jack stopped and looked at Zero with shock since Zero was now growling at him.
Zero then flew back over to you and barked at Jack. Jack was then able to piece the puzzle together and understood what was going on. You were starving and dehydrated. Jack had huge guilt and shame on his bony expression. He walked over to you and placed his bony hand on your shoulder. "(Y/n), I- I have no excuse for this. I'm so sorry".
"Its ok Jack, I forgive you". His frown quickly turned into a smile and the both of you went out the door to retrieve some stuff for you. Luckily, there was fresh water and since it was Halloween town they had candy. All different kinds. That was good but you obviously can't eat candy all day. Jack understood and after getting the temporary candy, he went to go back to Dr. Finklestein to get books about humans and what they do and need.
Jack has now got a lot more to learn to put it briefly. That night when you went to sleep, your dream seemed to last for only fifteen seconds as it was a stick that turned into a small and cute Christmas tree. But it suddenly caught fire and turned to ash. This couldn't be good.
TIMESKIP:
It was the next morning and you awoke to a very strange and disturbing bird. It sounded like a rooster but it also sounded like it was dying. You then hear music and the following vocals from the fellow monsters.
Something's up with Jack x2
Don't know if we're ever going to get him back
He's all alone up there locked away inside
Never says a word
Hope he hasn't died
Something's up with Jack x2
You quickly got out of bed and went to see Jack pacing back and forth thinking deeply. He must've heard the monsters singing because he started to sing his own lyrics.
Christmas time is buzzing in my skull
Will it let me
I cannot tell
Jack sat down on his chair and as he kept singing, he placed two playing cards on top of a house of cards.
There's so many things I cannot grasp
And when I think I've got it and then at last
Through my bony fingers it does slip
The house of cards fell over and Jack got a bit irritated by that and just brushed most of the cards off the table. He kept singing and then pushed himself along in his wheeled chair pointing out all the Christmas decorations and still wondering what they were.
Like a snowflake in a fiery grip
Something here I'm not quite getting
Though I try I keep forgetting
Like a memory
Long since past
Here in an instant
Gone in a flash
What does it mean x2
Jack then stood up and goes near three small Christmas things frozen in some containers. You weren't sure why he did that but if he knew why he did then it doesn't matter.
In these little bric-a-brac
A secrets waiting to be cracked
These dolls and toys confuse me so
Confound it all
I love it- though,
Jack then picked up a doll and continued singing but started shaking the doll as if it would answer, which it didn't.
Simple objects, nothing more
But something's hidden through a door
Though, I do not have the key
Something's here I cannot see
What does it mean x2
"What does it mean? Hmmmm". Jack threw the doll over his shoulder and it landed on Zeros bed which awoke him. He looked over at Jack worried as he continued singing. Jack went up a ladder to look through the Christmas books for the millionth time.
I've read these Christmas books so many times
I know the stories and I know the rhymes
I know the Christmas carols all by heart
As Jack came down the ladder, Zero flew past you and he was carrying a picture of Jack on the spiral hill with a pumpkin in his bony hand. You went closer to Jack to get a better look at the picture.
My skull's so full it's tearing me apart
As often as I've read them, something's wrong
So hard to put my bony finger on
You went closer to Jack to get a better look at the picture.
Or perhaps it's really not as deep as I've been led to think
Am I trying much to hard?
Suddenly, the picture changed from Jack being the pumpkin king to him being a Santa skeleton. He wore Santas clothes but it fit Jack well. Instead of a pumpkin in his hand, it was a small present. It was a bit odd since he's the king of Halloween but Jack thought that this was brilliant.
Of course!
I've been too close to see
The answers right in front of me!
Right in front of me!
Jack got up the ladder again and made the ladder push to the other side of his bookcase. You and Zero looked at each other in confusion but kept listening to Jack sing.
It's simple really
Very clear
Like music drifting in the air
Invisible but everywhere
Jack then got down from the ladder and started dancing with the small Christmas tree by twirling it and dipping it. He then pulled twirled the tree to pull the string of lights off which made ornaments fly off and crashing on the floor which left broken glass on the floor.
Just because I cannot see it
Doesn't mean I can't believe it
You know I think this Christmas thing is not as tricky as it seems
And why should they have all the fun
It should belong to anyone
Jack had the string of lights wrapped up like rope and slid across the floor on his knees to wrap the lights around an electrical chair.
Not anyone in fact
But me!
Why I could make a Christmas tree
And there's no reason I can find
I couldn't handle Christmas time
I bet I could improve it too!
And that's exactly what I'll do!
Jack then pulled the lever to the chair which turned the lights on but since the chair was very high in voltage, it made the bulbs of the Christmas lights burst. Jack then laughed and ran to his big window and opened it fast. "Eureka! This year, Christmas will be... OURS"! You could hear the monsters cheering and applauding for this small announcement. You then remember your small dream last night about the burning Christmas tree.
You couldn't help but think yourself...
"What does it mean"?

Chapter 4
Previous ~ Next
Jack took some time with retrieving the proof he needed for proving that Christmas Town existed, but what he retrieved was probably more than enough. He had carried a huge sack filled with Christmas decorations and actually managed to retrieve a small Christmas tree.
He even managed to retrieve a snow mobile! 'How did he get that without someone noticing' you thought to yourself. Jack had the sack on the back of the snow mobile and motioned for you to get on the snowmobile. "I don't think there's any room left for me".
"You can sit in the front" he said with a smile.
"Then how will you know where your going"? Jack laughed a little at your question since it had an obvious answer. "I think you forgot that I'm taller than you. I'll still be able to see where I'm going".
"Oh! Sorry".
"Don't be, but let's hurry before were spotted". You quickly sat down in front of Jack and the snow mobile started moving. His long bony arms reached around you to take a hold of the handles. Jack and you rode off away from Christmas Town to find the trees again and went back to Halloween town.
During the ride back to Halloween town, all of this made no sense and you wondered why this existed. Did anyone else know about this place?
Is this a dream?
Why is Jack the Pumpkin King being so nice and can he really be trusted?
Jack was a gentleman, so you that was a little bit of a trust sign. "Alright, only one more item to display and we'll be ready" Jack said then walking out the back door to get the Christmas stocking. You smiled and started becoming anxious. Before this moment, you requested to walk to the town when you both were at the cemetery. You said you didn't want the town's monsters to see you yet. He understood and directed you to the back entrance of the town and also told you to go ahead and go inside the building and wait for him.
Jack came back with other objects in his bony hands and set them down on the table that was set up. He turned to you and said, "(y/n), I'm not sure how long it'll be until we get you home but until then, I thought it would be nice if you introduced yourself to everyone". Your heart stopped in fear. You were always nervous when it came to large crowds and a brunch of eyes looking at you. "I can't".
Jack looked confused. "Why not? What's the problem"?
"Jack"?
"Yes"?
"Do you know what anxiety is"? Jack thought about it for a moment and really started to ponder the real meaning of the word. "No, I don't. Why? What does it mean"? You started to tell him what it was and how badly it affects you. "It means I get extremely nervous in crowds and never really feel safe in new places. I can sometimes have panic attacks with too many people around or too many people looking at me. Most of the time, it's me assuming that people are judging me and want to harm intentionally".
A stray tear fell from your eye and when Jack saw that, he quickly wiped it away and made you face him completely. "(Y/n), you have nothing to worry about. I'm right here. If it makes it any better for you, I'll be right with you and inform them all about your... uhh..."
"Anxiety".
"AH, that's right. Don't worry". Jack had this reassuring smile and you nodded to let him know that you were ok with letting him introduce you to everyone. Your heart was pounding out of fear and when Jack left to go behind the curtain, you saw a mirror with it cracked and some of it's pieces gone. You quickly ran to it to adjust your hair and clothes to look decent, at least. "Alrighty, everyone. Settle down".
You quickly rushed to the curtain and stood by the spot where Jack went through. "We have a new... temporary member of Halloween town. She's very shy and this may shock you, but she's not a monster. She's a human". You then heard gasps of horror and nerves. That made your anxiety worse. "Now now, relax. She's a very sweet girl and I expect all of you to give her a warm welcome to (y/n)".
The curtain pulled back a bit to reveal you. You took a couple steps forward and tried to look away from the eyes of curiosity and amazement. "Hello. As Jack said, my name is (y/n) and I'll be here for a short time. So I apologize for the inconvenience". The monsters seemed to enjoy so far so they decided to ask the questions they all had. "Do you like Halloween"?
"Yeah. I love it".
"What about monster's".
"I like them too".
"How bout zombies"?
"Vampires"?
"Mummies"?
"Witches"?
"Bat's"
"Alright, everyone, please calm down. We shouldn't overwhelm her with too many questions". Jack then said to you, "I apologize. They have never seen a human being up close before". You smiled at him and said, "It's okay. Curiosity killed the cat, you know". Jack chuckled and said, "Very true".
Jack then went to the podium that was beside you and said, "Now that the introductions are finished, I want to tell you all about, Christmas Town". The spotlight shined down on Jack with bat's flying away and he started to sing.
There were objects
So peculiar
They were not to be believed
All around
Things to tantalize my brain
The monster were listening in amusement to Jack's song.
It's a world unlike anything I've ever seen
And as hard as I try
I can't seem to describe
Like a most improbable dream
But you must believe me when I tell you this
It's as real as my skull
And it does exist
Here, let me show you
Jack pulled back the curtain to reveal everything he collected. He took ornaments, lights, presents, a stocking and the little star that goes on top of every tree. The monsters looked in amazement and shock and it was a bit funny to witness. Jack picked up one of the presents to continue his song by describing the object.
This is a thing called a present
The whole thing starts with a box-
The monsters chimed into his song with questions that correlate with the song.
A box?
Is it steel?
Are there locks?
Is it filled with a pox?
A pox! How delightful, a pox!
Jack kindly interrupted them to continue his singing.
If you please
Just a box with bright colored paper
And the whole thing's topped with a bow
Then the witches chimed in as well.
A bow?
But why?
How ugly
What's in it?
What's in it?
Jack continued to sing.
That's the point of the thing
Not to know
The monsters chimed in again but the clown snatched the present to get a better look at it.
It's a bat
Will it bend?
It's a rat
Will it break?
Perhaps it's the head that I found in the lake
Jack took the present back and continued to sing.
Listen now, you don't understand
That's not the point of 'Christmas Land'
Now pay attention
Jack picked up the stocking next.
We pick up an oversized sock
And hang it like this on the wall
A monster with a top hat came closer to look at it.
Oh yes
Does it still have a foot?
Then a much smaller monster that resembled him popped out from under his hat to continue the lyrics.
Let me see
Let me look
Then another smaller monster popped out from inder the small one's hat and still continued the lyrics.
Is it rotten and covered with guck?
Jack continued his singing.
Let me explain
There's no foot inside
But there's candy or sometimes it's filled with small toys
The monsters, once again, chimed in. But it was a small mummy and bat monster who chimed in first.
Small toys?
Do they bite?
Do they snap?
Or explode in a sack?
Now other monsters chimed in. Again.
Or perhaps they just spring out and scare girl's and boy's.
Then the one who was, supposedly, the mayor chimed in.
What a splendid idea
This Christmas sounds fun
I fully endorse it!
Let's try it at once
Jack continued his singing.
Everyone, please
Now not so fast
There's something here that you don't quite grasp
The monsters looked a bit confused but kept listening. Jack then looked to you and said, "Well, I may as well give them what they want". You nodded and Jack continued his singing.
And the best
I must confess
I have saved for the last
For the ruler of this Christmas land, is a fearsome king
With a deep mighty voice
Least that's what I've come to understand
And I've also heard it told that's he's something to behold like a lobster
Huge and red
When he sets out to slay with his raingear on
Carting bulging sacks with his big great arms
That is so, I've heard it said
And on a dark, cold night under full moonlight
He flies into a fog like a vulture in the sky
And they call him
Sandy Claws
The monsters cheered for Jack's performance and he quickly took a hold of your hand as he went back behind the curtain to continue his song. But this time, he was more quiet and softer with his singing since it was just you and him.
Well, at least their excited
But they don't understand
That special kind of feeling
In Christmas land
Oh well
It appeared that Jack was done singing and you approached him and said, "Jack, I appreciate it as much as you do". You went and picked up the snow globe to shake it again. "It will take time before they understand but understand this from me". Jack looked to you and awaited for what you were going to say. "I don't know how long I'll be here for but I really want to see you take on Christmas. I can tell it will be amazing and I promise I won't miss it". Jack smiled and hugged you unexpectedly but you smiled and hugged back.
The other monsters may seem harmless, but you only trusted Jack. It will take time before the other's can be trusted. But the questions are...
How long will you be here for and will you ever go home?

Chapter 3
Previous ~ Next
Jack was a very polite and caring person, or should I say, skeleton to be with. He had this nature about him that you enjoyed. He spoke about Halloween Town and the people who inhabit the town. There was the mayor who apparently had two faces. One was joy and the other was both sad and scared. Then a certain doctor named 'Dr. Finklestein'.
The name was a little hilarious, but you didn't want to be rude. Jack also talked about the clown on the unicycle and said his name was literally 'Clown'. The others that were mentioned were the vampires, the werewolf, and the zombies. You didn't want to tell Jack that you were basically spying on them when they were singing because it would be a little bit weird.
"Where are we" you asked. Jack looked around and looked confused. "It's someplace new" said Jack. Upon closer inspection, it was the trees again. The ones with the symbols on them. You both continued to go towards them and Jack looked at you. "Are these the doors you were talking about"?
"Yeah, but I still don't know what they are". You and Jack were now in the middle of the tree circle observing the symbols on them. They were the same ones you saw put the pumpkin door was missing. "(Y/n)... look".
You looked to the tree Jack was looking at and saw a small Christmas tree. It looked better than all the other trees. You looked at Jack and saw that he was fascinated by it and began walking towards it. When he reached it there was a golden doorknob and he twisted and the door opened to reveal nothing. It was the same thing you saw when you opened the pumpkin door.
Jack looked at you and you both shrugged. But just like before a powerful gush of wind pulled you into the tree and Jack quickly took a hold of your hand to catch you but the wind was pulling him as well. He tried fighting it but he lost balance and you both fell down the dark hole, leaving Zero alone. You and Jack were screaming as you both fell down the dark void and Jack refused to let you go.
Finally, after some time you both landed on a snow hill and were holding onto each other. Once you both realized that, you both let go and awed at the scene before you both. There were bright light's all over and snow covering every flat surface. There was a massive Christmas tree in the center of the place and small houses decorated with Christmas themes all over. It reminded you of the inside of a snow globe. 'Why do people decorate their houses so early when it comes to Christmas'?
Jack got down on one hand and used the other to see from a distance what was up ahead. His bony hand collapsed in the foot of snow and when he pulled it out, he had snow on the palm of his hand. He looked at it curiously before taking a small bite out of it. You smiled a little, remembering when you were younger that you would mostly eat the snow rather then play in it.
Jack tried looking closer at the place but lost balance and went barreling down the snow hill and landing in a snow pile. You fell with him and when you stood up he broke out in song.
What's this? x2
There's color everywhere.
A snow flake fell and Jack took a hold if it, somehow, and inspected closely but ran into the snowman that was next to him.
What's this?
There's white things in the air.
What's this?
I can't believe my eyes
I must be dreaming.
Wake up Jack, this isn't fair!
What's this?
You and Jack then heard noises coming towards you and Jack got into the snowman to blend in with his surroundings but he then pulled you behind you. There were several elves on a sleigh singing but it honestly sounded strange. Like a squeaky duck.
What's this? x2
There's something very wrong
What's this?
There's people singing songs
There were then some elves on a polar bear going past you two and Jack hoped after them.
What's this?
The streets are lined with little creatures laughing
Everybody seems so happy
Have I possibly gone daffy?
What is this?
What's this?
Jack hopped out of the snowman and quickly took your hand just in time before the elves on the bear saw you. Jack led you to a lamp post and while he stood on top of it, you stood at the bottom, looking where he was looking to see elves having a snowball fight.
There's children throwing snowballs
instead of throwing heads
There busy building toys
and absolutely no one is dead
Jack stepped down from the lamp post and took the umbrella that you just noticed he had and he pulled a string of lights down to his face with two of them in front of his eye sockets.
There's frost in every window
Oh, I cant believe my eyes
He released the string of lights and his tone changed from excited to sincere happiness.
And in my bones
I feel the warmth that's coming from inside
You smiled that he was happy to discover Christmas but he quickly went back to being excited and pulled you close to him to look in a small window on a door that was behind you both.
Oh look
What's this?
Inside was two elves standing underneath the mistletoe. The girl elf leaned in and kissed the boy elf making him blush a bit. It was cute. You always loved the mistletoe tradition.
They're hanging mistletoe
They kiss?
Why, that looks so unique
Inspired!
Jack took your hand and led you to another window. Inside was three elves. One looked to be a grandma elf with two smaller elves. There were chestnuts being roasted on the fire while the two small elves were on the lap of the grandma elf.
They're gathering around
And hearing a story, roasting chestnuts on a fire
What's this?
Jack looked over and saw two elves decorating a small Christmas tree with lights. The girl elf was making the light's go on while the boy elf was spinning the tree in a perfect matter for the lights.
What's this?
In here, they've got a little tree
How queer!
And who would ever think,
And why?
They're covering it with little things
Jack stood up and with surprising strength, he took your hand and pulled you up with him on the roof of the house next door.
They've got electric lights on strings
And as a smile on everyone
So now, correct me if I'm wrong
This looks like fun x2
Oh, could it be I got my wish?
What's this?
Jack pulled you in with him as you both climbed into the open window of a large bedroom with a lot of sleeping elves. Most likely children. But Jack continued his singing but he was a bit more quieter to not awake the elves.
Oh my
What now?
The children are asleep
Jack lifted the covers underneath the bottom bunk bed and saw nothing to prove his point with his lyrics.
But look,
There's nothing underneath
Jack put the cover down and silently moved across the floor on his knees to go to a bed five sleeping elves.
No ghouls
No witches here to scream and scare them or ensnare them
Jack went to the last elf and sang softly considering how close he was to it and sighed in comfort.
Only little cozy things secure inside their dream land.
Jack then saw something that caught his eye again and said the same two words again but he was a little bit loud and instantly woke up the elf. Jack quickly took your hand but you swore you saw the elf get a glimpse of you as you were pulled out the window.
Jack pulled you to what you assumed to be the toy factory. There were shadows of the elves making toys and being put on the conveyor belt. Jack still had his umbrella and you were afraid of falling so Jack held you close to him.
The monsters are all missing
And the nightmares can't be found
And in their place, there seems to be good feeling all around
Instead of screams
I swear
I can hear music in the air
Jack took the umbrella and used the end to hook on the light strings and you both swinged towards a small window with cakes and pies. The smell was mouth watering and they looked delicious. Jack's tone went from excited to sincere again.
The smell of cakes and pies are absolutey everywhere
Jack's tone changed from sincere to excited again and he let go of the umbrella and you both plunged down on a carousel. You somehow didn't get hurt and started to get a bit dizzy from spinning.
The sights
The sounds
There everywhere and all around
I've never felt so good
Jack leaped off the carousel and on a train making it's 'choo choo' sounds. You got off the carousel and admired him as you tried to catch up to him.
This empty place inside of me is filling up
I simply cannot get enough
I want it,
Oh, I want it
Jack then jumped off the train and landed on a sled going down hill to meet you at a tall sign.
I want it for my own
I've got to know x2
What is this place that I have found?
What is this?
Jack was walking towards you but face planted into the tall sign and fell in the snow. You cringed and were about to lend a hand but he sat up and read what the sign said. "Christmas Town"? He seemed to enjoy the name and you wanted to say something to him but a door opened and you both gasped at what you heard.
It was Santa Claus!
You couldn't believe this since you were told that he doesn't exist but after everything you've seen so far, you had to believe it. You looked at Jack and he quickly got up to pull you behind as he tried hiding behind the tall 'Christmas Town' sign. He was thinking about something, but whatever it was got you thinking as well. "(Y/n), we've got to tell the people of Halloween Town what we've discovered"! You didn't say anything but got a bad feeling in your chest that this wasn't going anywhere pleasant to tell the other monsters.
"Ok, but how are you going to tell them"? Jack thought about your question and a light bulb went off in his head. "We'll need proof. I'll go around and gather some things. I want you to go back up the hill and wait for me". It was a good thing you wore thick clothes, otherwise you would've been frozen solid halfway during his song.
"Ok, but please don't take long".
"I won't, I promise. Now hurry, before someone sees us"! You followed Jack's simple instruction and ran to the top of the hill. It was the same one where you both landed after going through that Christmas tree door. Those doors had to have been there for who knows how long. Has someone else found them before?
Who created them?
And why?
All these questions need answers and it put a lot of theories in your head. You pushed it all aside and sat down to admire the beauty of Christmas Town.

Chapter 2
Previous ~ Next
Jack, the skeleton, went through the gates. You went over the wall and silently followed after him. He seemed to be thinking deeply as he walked down the dirt path. There was a large tombstone that you could hide behind, so you ran over to it and crouched down behind it.
You peeked out from the side and saw that he stopped at a small grave. From where you were, it looked like a dog house. Jack, the skeleton, bent down a bit and pat his leg twice and continued to walk. You wondered why he did that but then a ghost came out of the ground. It was a small ghost with a head of a dog and the rest of it's body was like a cloth.
Jack then walked to a grave and rested his elbow on it and started to sing. It was a nice tune with a calming tone.
There are few who deny at what I do,
I am the best.
For my talents are renowned, far and wide.
When it comes to surprises in the moonlit night,
I excel without ever even trying.
Jack then jumped on top of two tombstones and made hand jesters to go along with his lyrics
With the slightest little effort of my ghost like charm,
I have seen grown men give out a shriek.
Jack jumped down from the tombstones and stood beside two big ones and seemed to be gloating about himself with the next lyrics he sang.
With a wave of my hand and a well placed moan,
I have swept the very bravest off their feet!
But just like that, his tone changed from sincere to depressing.
Yet, year after year,
It's the same routine
And I grow so weary of the sounds of screams
And I, Jack, the Pumpkin King,
Have grown so tired
Of the same old thing
You were still peeking behind the tombstone and saw Jack walking towards the spiral hill that was underneath the very large full moon while the ghost dog followed Jack.
Oh somewhere, deep inside these bones,
An emptiness, began to grow.
There's something out their far from my home.
A longing that,
I've never known.
Jacks tone changed from depressed to back to sincere and he seemed to be gloating about himself again. This time, he was explaining more about himself.
I'm the master of fright
And a demon of light
And I'll scare you right out of your pants.
You were still a bit far back so you carefully ran to different tombstones until you were close enough to see him better but his ghost dog almost saw you so you had to stop moving and sit still to keep watching Jack.
To a guy in Kentucky
I'm mister unlucky
And I'm known throughout England and France
Jack then did something a little cringy to look at. He took his skull right off his head and held it out in front of him like the way Shakespeare's play 'Hamlet' was depicted.
And since I am dead,
I can take off my head,
To recite Shakespearean quotations.
He put his skull back and continued to sing about himself like he was gloating.
No animal or man
Can scream like I can,
With the fury of my recitations
And once again, his tone changed from sincere to depressing.
But, who here, would ever understand,
That the Pumpkin King,
With a skeleton grin,
Would tire of his crown,
If they only understood,
He'd give it all up if he only could.
Jack then suddenly looked your way and you quickly ducked down just in time before he saw you. You took a very small peek and saw he was now walking dowm the spiral hill that unfolded down into a slope.
Oh there's an empty place inside of my bones,
That calls out for something unknown.
The fame and praise, come year after year,
Does nothing for these empty tears.
You saw that Jack was walking away from the cemetery and started hugging himself for his own comfort. You darted out from behind the tombstone to follow after him. You had to keep your distance so he wouldn't see you or hear you. The ghost dog was still following Jack and it somehow didn't pick up your scent.
You decided to take a moment and notice your surroundings more. It was like it was animated and changed drastically, like when you first encounterd the pumpkin door. You then felt something hit your head and you looked down to see a small rib bone. You picked it up and then heard a cute dog bark.
You looked up and saw that the ghost dog was coming towards you. You gasped and dropped the bone to hide behind a tree. You peeked out and saw that this ghost dog had a bright red nose, like Rudolph the red nose reindeer. It was so cute.
You tried to get a better look but a twig snapped and the ghost dog darted his head towards you and looked at you. Your eyes grew wide and you hoped it wouldn't give your position away, but it started barking and barking to alert Jack. You tried shushing it but it was too late. "Zero, what's wrong"?
You gasped and tried to run away but heard someone say, "OH! Hello there"! You turned around and saw Jack walking towards you with a smile on his face that turned into shock. "Why, your a human"!
You kept backing away in fear but Jack kept coming towards you. "No no no, it's alright, I won't hurt you". You stood there admiring this skeletons posture and liked what you saw. Most men from your town could care less about manners and etiquette. "Who are you"?
"(Y/n)".
"Well, (y/n), my name is Jack, Jack Skellington and this is my dog Zero". Zero, the ghost dog, flew towards you and flew around your head a couple times. "Me and Zero gladly welcome you but I must ask. How did you come here"?
"I went on a walk in the woods and found some trees with symbols on them. One of them was a pumpkin with a face carving and it led me here". Jack wasn't sure what you were talking about but it sure got him thinking. "Well, me and Zero gladly welcome your company"!
"Thank you. But do you know how I can get back to my home"?
"No, I'm sorry (y/n), I don't. But, if you'd like, you are more than happy to stay with me until we figure out how to get you home" Jack said joyfully.
"Oh no! I'd hate to intrude..."
"Oh nonsense! I insist! Come with us"! Jack then held out his arm like a gentleman. You smiled at him and took his offer. You both then started talking to get to know each other better, but there were other pressing matters to think about.
How are you going home?
What were those doors?
Can Jack really be trusted?
Who knows? But right now, all you can do is follow Jack and see what happens.

Chapter 1
~ Next
Halloween. The one holiday you hate, only because of trick or treaters coming to your house trying to get free candy. You hate spoiled, rotten kids. One time, you didn't buy candy for those dumb kids and when it was time for the trick or treaters to go trick or treating, the little demons were banging on the door and kept ringing the doorbell like physcopaths.
You answered the door and they said 'trick or treat' but in a threatening way. You slammed the door in their face and had to face angry parents. One particular parent got so mad that he called the police. The cops showed up and the only good thing that happened was that the cops took your side and told the parents and kids to leave.
That was two years ago and ever since then, you were always on guard. All lights were off and the doors and windows were locked to prevent anyone from entering. But on this Halloween, the weather was nice and cool. Trick or treating wouldn't start for another hour, so you decided to take a walk in the woods to clear your mind before turning into a territorial animal.
The woods was charming at night with only the sounds of the rustling leafs, the twigs snapping underneath your shoes, the distant owl making its hooting sounds, and a small nearby stream constantly running. There was a trail, but you decided to go your own way.
Which was way off course.
The woods started to change, in a weird way. The trees started to look the same and the moon was becoming more illuminated. Before long, the ground became a color of brown with a small hint of black. You looked around wondering what happened but you then saw some trees planted in a circle.
'That's weird' you thought to yourself. It was like a mushroom circle, only, the shape was more accurate. Upon closer inspection, the trees had symbols on them. One had a turkey, another had a Christmas tree on it, and one had a heart, another had a shamrock, and one had an Easter egg.
But the last one caught your eye. It was a pumpkin with a face carving. You walked up to it and when you were only two feet from it, its little triangle nose was a small doorknob. Being as curious as you were, you twisted the door knob and opened the pumpkin door.
There was nothing inside. 'Well, that makes no sense' you thought. You were about to close the door, but a sudden gush of wind pulled you inside and you screamed as you went down a dark void with the pumpkin door closing.
You wake up on the ground, feeling drowsy and a little shaken. The trees still looked the same but the moon was so bright and was now a full moon. Before, it was a crescent moon. You stood up and tried walking but you fell down. You groaned in pain and stood up again to continue forward.
There was no path. You were lost. What was that pumpkin door!? You started to panic and continued to walk, hoping to find something that could tell you where you are. The walk was long, but you eventually came across a narrow walk way that led to a cemetery with a hill that had a long curl at the end.
You continued walking but something caught your attention. From the distance, you saw that it was man. A man who was out of shape and seemed to be hunched forward. Something was sticking out of his head. It looked like a stick, but it looked more like an axe! This man was hauling a scarecrow on a mount and heading through the big cemetery gates to a very creepy looking town.
It looked like it was the only piece of civilization within miles. You followed after the axe man and could faintly hear singing. When you got closer, the singing became clear but you decided to hide behind a stone wall and peek over the top to see what was going on. And what you saw was the strangest thing you ever laid your eyes on.
There were monsters, all over the place. There were witches, a clown on a unicycle, a walking tree with a face and with skeletons hanging from the branches by the neck with nooses, a devil, a weird man wearing a ribbon on his top that said 'Mayor', a werewolf, vampires, zombies, some weird fish looking monster, a man with his face constantly melting, a small mummy, a monster with a spider on his head and with snakes as fingers, and a monster with striped sticks sticking out on top of it's head.
This was very strange to look at but what they were singing was intriguing.
In this town,
Don't we love it now.
Everyone's waiting for the next surprise.
The axe man was then seen hauling the scarecrow on the mount and was walking towards the fountain in the middle with green water spewing from it.
Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back
And scream like a banshee
Make you jump out of your skin.
This is Halloween,
Everybody scream
Won't ya please make way for a very special guy.
The scarecrow on the mount grabbed a torch that someone was holding and held like he was going to do something with it. And he did. He lit himself on fire and started dancing on the mount.
Our man Jack is king of the pumpkin patch
Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King!
This is Halloween! x2
Halloween! x4
The scarecrow jumped off the mount and dived into the fountain. The monsters continued to sing the rather catchy song.
In this town,
We call home,
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song.
What you saw next was very intriguing. A very tall and very slender skeleton emerging from the fountain with his long arms wrapped around him. He had a smile on his skull and the monsters seemed to worship him. This skeleton wore a pin stripe suit and a striped and spikey bow with a small black cat face in the middle of the bow.
The two witches started laughing and the other monsters started to congratulate one another for what they did. The tall skeleton stepped down from the fountain and the one with the mayor ribbon said, "Great Halloween, Jack"!
"I believe it was our most horrible yet. Thank you everyone" said the skeleton. "No! Thanks to you, Jack. Without your brilliant leadership" said the mayor. "Not at all Mayor".
The monsters started praising him. They sounded more like insults rather than complements. The skeleton, who's apparently named Jack, started to look like he was getting uncomfortable and making his way towards the way you came. "Hold on, it's time for the rewards" said the mayor.
Jack, the skeleton, ran off and you went behind the wall and found another gate and slipped through. You could hear Jack and someone else speak. "Nice work, bone-daddy".
"Yeah, I guess so. Just like last year. And the year before that... and the year before that..." said Jack as the gate opened and he started to head towards the cemetery. In all honesty, he seemed to be the most normal out of the rest of the monsters, so it would be best if he could point out where you are and how to get back.
So, you should follow him before he gets away.
