The insect's body has his Helm. White lights on the wings to reference his glowing eyes from the comic. The upper pair of wide wings have blue, black, and gold sand swirls and the edges are a reference to his speech bubbles, which are spiky and outlined in white... There's hair ?? feathering out from the wings, with blue highlights. So hairy. The lower pair of wings are a tattered starry cloak with fire-orange at the ends. An oval ruby sits above it. Motthew is a small raven-like moth at the left side.

Fandom bugs, this time for Magic Knight Rayearth.

ID: Jeweled and fantasy bug designs based on Magic Knight Rayearth characters and their aesthetics, lined up on a page like you might see on a bug display box.

Hikaru: At top, a red beetle with pink gems and iridescent wings. There is no real anatomy to this because the wings stick out from odd places and there are three sets of wing carapace. Umi: Center, a blue dragonfly with blue gems and the top set of wings looks like bat wings. The second set of wings is detailed like an actual dragonfly's wings with all the veins, and iridescent light reflecting from them. Fuu: At bottom, a green butterfly with ornate gold lines all over the wings, covered in green gems, and has white feather-shaped extensions to the wings. The center body of each of the bugs resembles the sword hilts each character uses.

I had a big need for a fandom butterfly/moth display. Updated with an ID: Art drawn to look like a Fictional Moth/Butterfly display case based on 4 characters from The Magnus Archives on a 8.5x11" print. Big bug center top is labeled as "J. Sims": big green Luna Moth with multiple prominent eyes a bit like an Emperor Moth's markings, and holes in the wings that mimic the holes in a cassette tape. There's an eye on the mid of its body. The markings are more fantastical than the other bugs.

Labeled "M. Blackwood": Silver Clouded moth, smaller, to the right of J. Sims, with a cloudy looking pattern in greys on the wings, and two small dots.

Labeled "N. Sasha": Center-left. A blue butterfly but with markings that look like eyes and possibly claws extending across the top pair of wings. The wings are lined with black and white markings that resemble piano-keys. The lower pair of wings have golden markings that is supposed to resemble calliope pipes.

Labeled "Tim": Takes up the lower right side. A Mourning Cloak butterfly but with orange markings inside the wings that resemble flames. Mainly red wings lined with black then yellow edges, with blue spots across the black.
