And what escaped from Sam’s mouth was the least expected, “oh.. I think Bruce sent you in the wrong time line.”

Steve is determined to go back in time to live his life the way it was supposed to be after the war. But what he did not expect was to time travel towards the time where James Buchanan Barnes died.
