hiiii! I just started following you because of your Stardew/DnD series (which is EXCELLENT btw) but I was admiring the ones that came up on my timeline and I ADORE the pieces you made for October 2023. no rush and no pressure obviously but I can't wait to see what you make next :)

Welp, I’ve done it. Took on too much and now I’m pretty burnt out. I love a good fall art challenge, but I think participating in a daily challenge on top of life craziness was something I should’ve thought through more. That said, I’m really happy with the pieces I’ve completed and I didn’t want to throw in the towel without giving y’all one more piece before I slink off to lick my wounds. It is before 12AM where I currently am so I’m just gonna take the w on this one and say I posted day 5 of OctoberChrysalis on time. The prompt was “__core” so I went with miniaturecore because I love me some tiny ass things. Very visually pleasing, as I hope this piece is to you 💙

Time for day 4 of OctoberChrysalis! Today’s prompt was Lace and I decided to explore that with themes of eeriness and spiders. Gotta get some kind of Halloween vibes in there 🎃

OctoberChrysalis day 3 is Sacred Space represented by a celestial tigress guarding a door to another universe. I really dig these kinds of motifs and while I could draw femme people all day, I wanted to break out a bit and experiment with a big cat.

The day 2 #OctoberChrysalis prompt is Psychic Armor, which Ren decided to take quite literally. Fun fact, they were originally going to do this challenge in a single color palette and totally forgot to follow through by the second day! That’s gotta be some kind of record 🌝

Happy October friends! After a crazy summer, we’re curling up with an art challenge via @/bloodmilk and @/cchelseawwolfe over on Instagram—OctoberChrysalis!

The first prompt of the batch is Rise, which we’ve represented through a Rosy Maple Fairy waking up in their cozy ranunculus bed ✨

This one’s a bit of a throwback, but we felt we’d share a little extra Stardew over the weekend! Last year Ren drew up this illustration for Red, depicting our two favorite marriage candidates. Red is a big fan of Leah’s artistic, outdoorsy personality and Ren took one look at Elliot and was immediately sold.

The final illustration in our Stardew DnD series is everyone’s favorite roommate—Krobus! We decided the Warlock class would be fitting for him because of his ties to Yoba, the ancient guardian deity of the valley. Perhaps he formed a pact with Yoba during the Elemental War and has continued to foster that magical tie. Regardless, Krobus is a benevolent warlock and a wonderful roommate (or addition to the player’s adventuring party)!

This series was such a joy to work on and we appreciate all of the kind words and support from everyone who’s followed along! We’ll be posting some new art on Saturday and would love to hear what you might like to see next in the interim! 💚

For our final bachelorette we have an enchanting Wizard Penny to round out your weekend! She’s got her nose in spellbooks to teach the young magic users of the Valley how to practice their craft safely and smartly.

Oh y’all know it’s time for Ranger Shane (and his adventuring companion Charlie)! As a Ranger, we can see Shane protecting Marnie’s farm from the monsters of Cindersap forest… when he isn’t drowning his sorrows in some ale. Don’t worry, we’re sure the player adventurer can help pull him out of that with enough pepper poppers, right?

We’re not gonna lie, Maru seems like the perfect fit to be an Artificer. Already a science and robotics savant, applying that to a high fantasy context seems like a natural transition into this class! We can totally see her mixing up magic potions and tinkering with all kinds of fantasy machines.

I think y’all should know by now which bachelor is next…🐓

Sneaking in from the shadows is the next in our Stardew DnD series—Rogue Sebastian! Brandishing some frozen tear daggers he is ready and willing to to lay it all on the line to protect the frog village (that’s what we think at least hehe)

All I have to say about the next bachelorette is that her look was a lot of fun to…invent 🧪

We’re hoping we can add a little magic to your weekend with a lovely Druid Leah! She’s already such a perfect foraging lady living in the woods, it’s only natural that she would channel the magic of said environment!

There have been a few mentions of the next bachelor in the comments of some of our posts…💧❄️

The blonde bachelor Sam is up next for our Stardew DnD series! And what better class for our musically inclined skater than Bard? He was a super fun one to design—we threw in some little easter eggs to amplify that traveling bard look.

All I have to say about Saturday’s Bachelorette is that I hope you like some greens 🌱

We’re back with the next piece in our Stardew DnD series! If there was a Queen class you bet Haley would be in that. But, there isn’t, so we gave her the next best class: Paladin. We figured she already has a “holier than thou” disposition at your first meeting with her, which gradually turns into a heart of gold 💛

Speaking of blondes, Thursday’s bachelor is a totally rad one, so be sure to check back in for him!

For the next installment of our Stardew DnD series we have the best healer in the valley—Cleric Harvey! This class for him was probably a given, but we had a lot of fun reimagining the medical as the magical.
