=MAJOR UPDATE (leaving Tumblr)=

Hi there. No, the title is not a joke, and it is also the main subject of this post. I’m leaving Tumblr and all other platforms associated with my current email. So, I’m going to divide this into three important parts: why, what's going to happen, and when.

WHY? So... when I first created the email I am currently using, I didn’t tell anyone about it, including my parents, because I wasn’t sure if they were going to let me make one (they know now of course, but still) and therefore I feel really guilty using it. Aside from the email itself, I also made multiple social media accounts without my family’s knowledge (like my Wattpad which I have already deleted, and miscellaneous accounts for sites), and I just can't continue using this email with that knowledge. Also, I'm starting to really focus on school, especially since I'm entering the part of highschool that really counts towards college applications and stuff, and I want to drop all social media that hinders me from giving my all to my studies/extracurriculars. I want to start anew, maybe make a personal email that's actually related to my real self (e.g. I've been using "Berry" as my alias ever since I've started, but I want to use my real name on my future accounts) and yeah. Throw my old and bad habits away. Not personal to anyone; I've definitely enjoyed interacting with y'all here and on Discord, Youtube, etc., and I'll miss y'all forever, but I really need to do this.

WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN? I'm not gonna deactivate my blogs or anything, I'm leaving them up for easy access to my archives and posts, which also means that I won't actually be deleting my email, but I'm going to find a way that will prevent me from using it. Maybe changing my password to something random that I'll eventually forget so that I won't be able to log back in and use it. Either way, you won't be able to contact me with the accounts listed under my carrd's social media section, though I'll probably check Tumblr logged out from time to time, so if you want me to see something, best chance is to tag your thing with "#ordinary days musical" so I'll probably eventually see it.

AND WHEN? Don't worry! If you're reading this just as I posted it, I'm not gone just yet! I'll be locking up my email and abandoning my accounts on December 29, 2020 (GMT+8), so y'all have about a week to tell/ask me anything you want to before I go! I'll even use this time to say goodbye to some of you ^-^. So, if you have any questions, go ahead! I'll miss y'all like crazy, so shoot me everything you want.

So that's that. I post this today with exactly 100 followers. That's such a perfect milestone, it's incredible. Thank you for making my digital life amazing, to all my followers in all my blogs for validating the content I put out there. To all the people who occasionally like/reblog/reply to my notes and sent me asks/submissions. To all the people I’ve chatted with on Tumblr group chats. To all the people who I’ve DMed or vice versa. To everyone in all the discord servers I’ve been in, regardless if I’ve spoken to you or not (especially in the OD and 35MM servers!!!). To all my IRL friends for being so lovely and supportive both online and offline. And especially to all my mutuals, for being some of the most incredible and fun people I’ve had the privilege of interacting with. I love you all with my whole being. Goodbye xx ❤️

My Reactions to Zephyrus (the EP) by The Oh Hellos 🐇

Hello yes I know this is months late but hey have it as a Christmas treat I guess XD (also stream The Oh Hellos’ Family Christmas album!). Anyway I had the recording in my phone for a couple of months now and it’s time

Under the cut! Also btw I already read the lyrics before listening, for context.

1. Rio Grande

-WAIT I KNOW THIS MELODY this is hieroglyphs-

-”grand”

-wow this is so catchy

-aww okay i’m gonna cry

-thankfully this actually has a refrain (idk why i said thankfully i think i meant that it would be easier to memorize lol)

-okay. but whatever one of them says “our” it feels like their talking about all of us and not just like themselves, and it feels so personal <3

Intermission

-(in regards to the funky intro) um. okay, what- what is this- oh my goshhh the electric-ish vibe it reminds me of murmurations. maybe that’s where it got it from?

-waitttt this lyric (”at the edges of my fingers, never quite closing round it” gives me eurus vibes, specifically “like the wind, it slips again, out of my fingers”

- maggie got the lead in three of the titular songs oof

5. Murmurations/Reading the Augury -already heard in 10.2.2020

- I really really like this instrumental

-I’m aware this song is a mixture of many songs but I have a terrible ear so I literally do not here it lmao

6. Soap

-THE TRANSITION BETWEEN MURMURATIONS AND SOAP THO 😍

-already heard this before duh but still love it

-*bops and sings happily*

-this is the point where I started genuinely crying

-the callback to theseus and its theme of fixing

-I THINK THAT YOU’RE WORTH KEEPING AROUND!!!! 😭

7. Rounds

-ooo pretty instrumental

-i like how they decided to end it softly instead of going with an all-out closer

-*patiently waits for the vocals*

-*realizes this is gonna be a minute long intro*

-*starts crying even harder*

-this is bc i realized that i was focusing on the lyrics bc i wanted to get as much information/words in my ear as possible, but with this long instrumental, i felt like the heaths were giving me a break and telling me that hey, you’re allowed to slow down and enjoy the simple sound of instruments

-you don’t always need to analyze, you sometimes just need to feel

-THE BOREAS MELODY!!! (”on and on and on again” = “round around a round again”)

-it’s so cyclical... adore

-thank you to the oh hellos

what’s going on in india?

hi- i sincerely apologize if this is annoying but i’d really hope to raise awareness on what’s going on in india right now! basically modi has passed 3 new reform laws which makes it extremely difficult for farmers; the backbone of india’s economy; to make money. essentially private companies now buy directly from farmers rather than the government having a set price on crops grown by kisaans (farmers) all year long. thus leading to a significantly lower income. overtime many farmers will go into extreme debts and would be incapable of supporting their families. 65 farmers in punjab have already taken their lives since this bill was passed.

there have been peaceful protests in delhi where many sikhs and punjabis (as well as farmers from other states and religions) are fighting for their livelihood back, however the police brutality that they are currently facing is unfathomable. they are getting shot with water cannons and tear gases for protesting against bills that make it borderline impossible for them to live.

3/4 of punjabs population are farmers, my own immediate and distant family are currently out protesting and are being actively impacted by this.

you can donate to khalsa aid right here! they are providing protesters with food and water!

you can purchase from kisaani.co! all their profits are sent directly to the kisaans in need.
