Absolutely nobody asked for this crossover, but my brain decided to give it to me anyways in the form of a dream. I present to you... The Maleficent Maxwell.

And yes one of her horns was way bigger than the other

The story was that these two idiot superheroes accidentally bumped into the mural she was sealed away in while they were trying to figure out how to destroy it. This action inadvertently freed her and got themselves sealed away instead.

A group of kids had wandered into her castle while this was happening, and they got roped into her resurrection. The main character was this young boy named Mandarin and his best friend, who was a robot who looked remarkably like WX-78.

The villain knew these two kids would be the ones to stop her so she tried to banish them to a pig village far away, which was very cute by the way.

But then she tried to also remove the robot from the picture, but that just ended up making it personal for Mandarin.

I woke up after that.

Even though Serah's is the story I'll be making first, I have more concept art for Emblazoned since it was the origin idea. I don't feel quite ready to tackle that story, because I think it's a bit outside my scope of talent, but that doesn't mean I can't share some of the art with you guys.

At this point on my Patreon, I've finally reached the point where I actually post (mostly) STORY RELATED CONTENT, instead of, *ahem*... fluff. Given that, I'd like to start sharing more of it here as well from now on. I'll still be posting more frequently on my Patreon, and remember, everything on there is free for the public! No investment required. If you want to see my thought process in more detail, it's all there for the taking.

With that said, I'm going to take this opportunity to briefly introduce the three main characters that have been spoken about there so far.

Blaze is what's called an Ignited, a human with a magical ability to wield fire. However, his physical strength and magic power have always been at odds, and he is weak and sickly because of it.

Viper is a Sentinel, a member of a naturally stronger and sharp-clawed race of humanoid primary carnivores called Serriths. These beings are often trained to protect humans in the country of Dall, at a price. He has been assigned to protect Blaze since they were both very young.

Serah was once a Sentinel as well, but has long since been freed, and despite her status within the country, has filed her claws and become a doctor. Actually... I think I'll stop there, because while most of the story ideas I've talked about are having to do with the first two characters, it's actually her backstory I want to make into a comic first. So... I won't give you too many spoilers.

I'm not sure why I randomly started coloring stuff on this one, but we got plenty of creatures, including a couple of failed attempts at a Demogorgon. I also discovered my new permanent favorite sketching brush while drawing Viper and Blaze again. Someone please stop me.

A couple of the memes I shared were from a canvas full of stuff, so I thought, "Why not just share the rest?"

These are from a brush test I did in 2022 for default tools in csp. Lots of random stuff, that one SCP that can't die, practicing wrinkles on some OCs, more characters still but playing around with them if they were the same race as Serah and Viper (as well as myself as one for some reason), and some dragons of course

hypothetically, if i wanted to commission you for a sculpt of hollow knight's godseeker (the junkpit version), what kind of price range would you propose for it?

Excellent question! Depending on the complexity of the figure(I would make it articulated of course, unless you didn't want that), the print itself could be anywhere between $50 to $60, and I think I even have all the filament colors to match that particular character already, so I wouldn't charge any extra for needing to go out and buy new spools.

However, the tricky part is when it comes to sculpting. My Etsy is kind of my only source of income right now, so for a commission I'd prefer to charge an hourly rate, maybe $15 minimum. However, if I'm real, it probably only took me about 7-8 hours max to sculpt Dung Defender, I just really drag my ass when it comes to getting back into Blender sometimes which is why new figures come so slow. I've learned a lot of tricks, so it might end up going a lot more quickly. I'd also have much more incentive to complete a commission in a timely manner.

Alternatively, I might prefer to charge on a per part basis, which is exactly what it sounds like - a flat rate for each individual part that needs to be sculpted. I'd probably pick a mid-range of about $10, which may be higher or lower depending on the complexity of the part. For example, the mask and armor parts might be $15 each, the cape $20, but the arms $5-$7. The longer I think about it, the more I think I just wouldn't charge the commissioner for the physical figure itself, but instead only for the process of sculpting, and maybe slicing too.

Of course, all this stuff is still in consideration, I've never done a fully custom commission before after all, so if we end up talking about it I could end up disregarding/lowering any of these prices.

The concept of making a figure of the junkpit Godseeker is an intriguing one, though, so if you decide not to do so, I'll probably still add it to my list of things to sculpt. It'll probably just take me 5,999,999 months to do on my own time lmao

What an interesting order to go out today! I've never had anyone want custom colored capes for the little Knight before. Why was it so much fun seeing them come together?
