#me but before I even knew anything about being lgbt#I just wasn't the exact barbie doll girlie girl they wanted#I felt how I imagine many trans kids feel - out of place in who my parents insisted I be#dysphoric in the clothes they wanted me to wear#and I got constant abuse for not being the kind of daughter my stepmom wanted#'at least you're not a lesbian' they said after one beating - having abused me for finding out I kissed a boy#joke's on them now - I'm a bi demigirl and I still don't wear dresses or makeup#it's pretty nice outside of the bigot box

Plus, you can always delete them later, like I did, if you still find it cringey! But give it some time, sure. Sometimes you'll regret trashing a thing, and sometimes you'll quietly delete it 10 years later anyways... you never know.
heres my advice to any followers i have who are young. Don't delete things when you think you've outgrown them or they're cringy. If you make youtube videos just private them don't delete them. Save your files, you can bury them in multiple sub-folders if you think they're cringe now but DON'T DELETE THEM! It doesn't feel like it now but years in the future you will look back fondly at who you were and wish you still had those things.
#so much of my early oc writing was NOT GOOD#and yet... some of it I wish hadn't been lost when the old rp website I was on went down with everyone's work on it

If you really want the HP merch? If you love the fandom, but not the bigot who created and profits from it? Etsy is right there, and often times the things sellers make on there are better/cuter anyways! And then your hard earned money is supporting a small business, instead of funding anti-trans legislation!
I haven't purchased a HP item in close to a decade - I use the books I already had as doorstops or to prop a laptop up for meetings nowadays.
There is NO "death of the author" with JK Rowling - she controls and continues to profit from her IP, and uses that money to fund hate groups.

I've also been haunting reddit threads to read about the state of it, and it sounds massively improved - plus everyone seems to agree that the online community is super kind and helpful, and people seem to always be ready to help those who do get bullied by strangers!

Hey there! I've been considering whipping up something for 'MiqoMay', considering that MiqoMarch not only falls during a bad time for me (seasonal depression, ugh), but I couldn't come up with anything new for the same prompts as last year, with my creativity at an all time low (my physical health was in the dumps too)... and I miss being to engage with it! I miss writing and photography prompts!
Would people be interested in another round of Miqo-love? I was even debating keeping it to 3-5x a week, so there's less pressure to do something every... single...day. Unless every day is more appealing to others? Prompt ideas also welcome, else I'll otherwise just hit a random word generator and go from there to make it work with XIV.

Why do some people get so offended when trans women say “hey can you please not call me dude/bro/man?”
Don’t try to justify/defend yourself by going “ohh I use them gender neutrally!” and then just ignoring that it doesn’t matter if you think it’s gender neutral - if someone doesn’t want to be called certain terms you should respect that!
You just gotta go “I’m sorry for calling you that, I’ll stop using those terms to refer to you.”
It’s really simple. Most trans girls I know aren’t gonna be mad if you call them those stuff once and then after being corrected apologize and stop calling them those terms.
#I mean...'dude' is a gender neutral word to me#it's a filler word or exclamation type thing#Bill and Ted were my idols ok :p#but yeah if someone asks you not to call them something... anything at all... its rude to keep doing it#even ol' Bill and Ted would respect pronouns and gender identity#it might just be slang to you (or me)... and could be hurtful to someone else
