Character, Integrity, and A Proper Mindset

There’s something wrong with your character if opportunity controls your loyalty. Character, integrity, and a proper mindset are of utmost importance to me.

You don’t always grab every opportunity that comes your way. Think of what you currently have and the benefits you will be getting or achieving from them in the long run.

If you’ve already committed yourself to a company, and there’s an opportunity that you’ll be earning more from a company that reached out to you, weigh the pros and cons of your actions. Although you would earn more from the new company, think of the benefits you would have from the company you are currently working with especially if you already have a symbiotic relationship with that company, meaning you and the company benefit from each other. The company would grow with you and you would grow in terms of personal growth, knowledge, and skills that you would gain from working with your current company, and the camaraderie you already have with your colleagues in your current company.

The same applies to your relationship with your partners and friends. If you are always loyal to each other and treat each other with love, compassion, and respect, those relationships would definitely last for a lifetime. However, if loyalty and respect are no longer there, it’s time to let go and let things be.

Everyone at some point in their lives make mistakes. However, that doesn’t mean they have to pay for them for the rest of their lives. Sometimes good people make bad choices. It doesn’t mean they are bad. It only means they are being human.

As long as they learn from the mistakes they’ve made and they try hard not to make the same mistakes again, then all’s good.

It’s never too late to repent and seek guidance from God. With His guidance, you will be able to always take the righteous path. I should know as I’ve walked in darkness before, however, since two years ago, I’ve tried hard to walk the righteous path. I’ve finally seen the light then and I encourage other people to do the same by shining my light to those in darkness.

A wise person once told me, I believe it was one of my former clients, that we should not be afraid to have failures because from these failures you would learn, and I definitely agree with him.

Failures are a part of life. Learning from these failures is an opportunity for you to grow as a person, and be a “work in progress”. Let them be your stepping stones to reaching your goals and being successful in life.

I once thought I have finally found someone who would help me in my healing journey, someone who would love and accept me for who I am, however, he left me shattered into pieces. I had a hard time letting go of the pain I have felt then. I even cried in pain and asked God why I had to cross paths with him.

However, I believe everything happens for a reason and maybe, just maybe, we were not meant to be with each other. I cherish though the good times I had with him.

Be a warm light. When you show kindness, love, and warmth to others, you also benefit because that beautiful light radiates outwards through your consciousness. You attract positive vibes. This is our natural state, and why extending love to others makes us feel better as well.

Silence Speaks When Words Can't

I know you’ve been hard on yourself sometimes. And sometimes, you keep everything to yourself. You often talk to yourself because there’s no one else to talk to.

Thoughts… Thoughts… Thoughts…

Beautiful thoughts most of the time that you can share to the world to enlighten their lives.

Keep going. Keep trying every single day. You’re already making waves. A voice when really heard can move mountains.

But do remember: It all starts with showing up for you, trusting yourself, and believing in yourself.

You are gifted and blessed.

One voice when heard by others could be joined by other voices that have the same mission like yours… That is to make the world a better place to live in for all of us.

There are things I still need to learn, things I’m genuinely sorry for, and things I am beyond proud of. I’m still growing. I’m not stagnant or moving backwards at all. I’ll always be a work in progress.

I’ll keep moving forward knowing that God will always be by my side. Guiding me and helping me with all the battles that I need to overcome. I’ll be swimming the deepest ocean, climbing the highest mountain, and walking the treacherous road knowing that I will always be guided by God.

I will always be gifted and blessed.

Proud To Be A Filipino

So when I was in high school, I was not one of the advanced English students, however, I was one of the advanced Math students. My teacher then was Mrs. Ginaline Untiveros. Well, let me think who among my teachers in high school really made an impact on me besides Mrs. Untiveros.

I believe it’s Mrs. Advincula, she’s a Filipino teacher. I can fairly remember the word “Apple”. How to properly pronounce it with an American accent.

She instilled in us the term “colonial mentality”. That we Filipinos believe that we should mimic the lives of Americans, be like them as we were once colonized by Americans way back in the 1900s.

She said we should remain “Filipinos at heart” wherever we may go… whether in the U.S.A., Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, etc.. We are born as Filipinos and we shouldn’t forget our roots and our rich history.

I am a Filipino and very proud to be one!

Choose your battles wisely because if you fight them all, you’ll be too tired to win the really important ones.

You may lose some, however, what matters most are the lessons learned and that your dignity is intact.

Life is full of surprises. There will be times when they are what you’ve always wanted and there will be times when they are not.

Never give up if you experience challenges along the way. Just do your best to overcome them. Believe in yourself that you can.

Always remember that God will never give you a burden you cannot carry.

Power of Positivity

I wrote this article three years ago and this is the revised version.

My life is my masterpiece. I’m very grateful to those who reach out to me when they hear and feel my “thoughts” even if I don’t say a single word. It’s a never ending battle for me as I have a mood condition, however, I will continue to walk with faith in God and hope that better days are coming.

Do know that in life, there will always be roadblocks along the way as they are a part of your journey through life.

The most important thing is that we continue to have faith in God, count our blessings each day, be grateful for what we have, and even though we don’t get what we pray for, rest assured that God will give you something much better than whatever you have prayed for.

Do things with great love, enjoy the best things in life which are usually free, always see the brighter side of life, and always believe in the power of prayers.

Pay forward whatever you have received from people ~ whether in cash, in kind, knowledge or skills. Never expect something in return. A simple form of gratitude from them like “thank you “ or “salamat” should be enough to make you happy and contented. That only means that they have appreciated whatever you have given them. Enjoy the little things in life as they are the ones which usually make people happy.

Blessings to everyone and we will all get through this Pandemic. Once again, the world will be a better place if we all help each other.

Be The Light

"She wasn’t born her. She found her, over a long treacherous road and the more treacherous the road became, the more of her she found.”

I can say that I am not the same person I used to be two years ago. That was the time that I encountered one of the storms I’ve had in my entire life. I thought I won’t be able to overcome it, but I did. I’ve learned a lot of lessons throughout my journey in life and in that storm, I learned a lot.

I was able to reflect on things, on life. What my real purpose in life is and I even questioned God then why I had to endure that storm. However, my faith in Him became stronger during that storm, and I can say that I’ve been walking with faith in Him ever since then.

I believe we all get lost sometimes and eventually, we find our way back. What matters most is that you have the will to stand back up if you fall, find your way back if you get lost, walk the righteous path towards God, and always trust God’s plans for you. He will never give you battles or storms that He knows you will not be able to win or overcome.

Be the light for people who are in the dark. They are the ones who need to be saved. It’s time that we encourage people to choose the righteous path towards God. Set an example. Keep shining your light on them. If you believe someone is suffering and going through a difficult time in his life, talk to him. Ask him if he’s okay. Sometimes, people who are suffering suffer in silence. That’s the time when some of them have nervous breakdowns. They don’t know how to seek help. When they talk with you, empathize with them. Tell them how to overcome their battles. Listen with an intent to fix what needs to be fixed and tell him if he’s a non-believer to start praying. Tell him to go to church and fervently pray. God always listens to His children. Tell him to trust God’s plans for him and never lose his faith in God. He may be at his lowest but eventually, he will finally see the light with God’s help.

Let me share with you a quote I’ve read on Pinterest. Shakespeare said: “I always feel happy, you know why? Because I don’t expect anything from anyone. Expectations always hurt… Life is short. So love your life. Be happy… And keep smiling. Just live for yourself and before you speak, listen. Before you write, think. Before you spend, earn. Before you pray, forgive. Before you hurt, feel. Before you hate, love. Before you quit, try. Before you die, live.”

It’s such an amazing quote I found on Pinterest that’s why I’m sharing this.

Never have expectations from anyone as you will only be disappointed. Whenever you give something to people, don’t expect something in return. A simple “thank you” should be enough to make you feel that the person appreciated whatever you have given him. Live life to the fullest as you only live once. Live and cherish every moment you live on Earth as you will never know when you will be joining Our Creator. Keep smiling even though you are carrying a heavy load. Do know that God won’t give you anything He knows you will not be able to overcome. Whenever you have struggles in life, learn how to overcome them and always think that better days are coming. Choose happiness and always know that you are worthy and you are enough. Do things that will nourish your soul.

Life is not a race but indeed a journey.

Laugh often. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Do not worry. Forgive, it frees the soul. Take time for yourself. Plan for longevity.
