My roman empire is the fact that Stiles is like really smart but no one ever comments on it in the show because he is sarcastic and does silly things every once in a while

Not sure if this is how it is for other people, but when it comes to physical features of characters, I tend to stick very closely to them. One of the ways I see it bothering me the most is when I'm reading a stranger things fic and they take Eddie and say he is Robin's age (a year younger than Steve) which, ehhh no? He repeated senior year three times. He's like two years older than Steve. Another one the kind of triggers me, is when they overstimate Steve's age. He graduated spring of '85 and his birthday is supposed to be on April, so in season 4, he's still 18. Sometimes people will say he's in his 20s when the events of season 4 happen and it's not that bad. Although there is one that doesn't bother me as much as I want it to be more popular and it is making Eddie shorter than Steve. Joe Quinn is slightly taller than Joe Keery and I take that very seriously. Just kidding. I just think it's cuter when Steve is the shorted on. And it's not like he is extremely short either. They are both 6 feet. Anyways send me taller Eddie content please because I really do enjoy it a lot

Someone pointed out that Jonathan is still oblivious to the fact that the camera gifted to him was from Steve and it got me thinking about the potential that it holds. So much fluff. If you've read any fics about that pls send them because I really want to read them

So I don't think I ever noticed, not that I was thinking about it either, but fanon has struck again and I don't know if I'm surprised or not. So most of the time, when they talk about Eddie's shoes they say he wears this platform boots. Some real heavy combat boots... I just found out Eddie never wore boots during season 4.
Tumblr media
He wears sneakers. White sneakers. I don't know what to think. I'm having a weird memory thing where I see pictures of him in the sneakers and kind of think he always did look like that but then part of me is also like super confused because I thought he wore boots.

"Everybody wants to rule the world" by Tears For Fears edited over clips of Stranger Things season 3 hit the hardest. Like season 3 of Stranger Things IS what I see and feel when I listen to that song. And everytime I listen to it I just feel my heart squeeze because it just makes me realize how short life is and why you have to enjoy every part of it because it will soon be over and there will be no turning back

Almost a year ago, my friend and I saw the heart photo that Kit and Joe took and decided to recreate it. Fast forward a few months and I'm staring at the original Kit and Joe photo wondering why it looks so familiar in a composition kinda way and realize it is because my friend and I look almost exactly the same way they did when they took the picture, only mirrored

I cropped our picture for privacy reasons, but look at it!! It's so similar. It makes me giddy everytime I see it

I find the one sided Jonathan/Steve trope so endearing in every sense of the way. Like it's literally Steve having a crisis whenever Jonathan does anything and it's basically Jonathan Byers appreciation because he barely even blinks and Steve is like choking on his own spit from just how cute Jonathan looks. Which is fair, Charlie is a literal angel and he is just so cute in the role so every time Steve is like dying over Jonathan giving him a smile, I'm like "yeah me too, bro"

There's the famous "Steve Harrington has bad parents" trope and his lonely, big, empty house. It's very popular, the Fandom has baptized it as cannon in their own heads. The other day I was reading a fic and Eddie and Steve are listening to The Smiths together until they start to listen to "There is a light that never goes out" for the first time since its release and when this part comes up:
"Driving in your car
Oh, please don't drop me home
Because it's not my home, it's their home
And I'm welcome no more"
Steve starts to cry because he can relate to it so much. And that got me thinking, why is it that Steve having a rocky relationship with his parents, specially his dad, during the first season is such an important part of his character, yet after that season we don't hear anything about it anymore? The answer seems simpler than what I had thought. It is common knowledge that Steve was supposed to die during the first season. Joe Keery had managed to charm the Duffer Brothers so they kept him so maybe that's why we don't hear about Steve's parents. Since he was supposed to die soon after his first appearance, the writers didn't find a reason to develop his original storyline because he wasn't going to be there for long yet he did stay there and so now we have no information about his parents.

Something really interesting is that I always found Finn Wolfhard attractive but for some reason I couldn't really get why it didn't click for me during season 4. And I think it has to do with his hair?? Which is kinda late to realize but like his current haircut definitely works for his face shape. Yet the haircut he had for Mike in season 4, it makes his face look even smaller? I dunno how to say it but I don't dig the bangs and the shaggy cut at the back that Mike probably just allowed to grow out from his old haircut. I dunno he is cute either way, I just prefer the shorter hair

I was scrolling through tiktok and I saw one where they do the mockingbird by Eminem trend and it was like "six kids suffering from daddy issues" and it shows each of the party members and then on the second part of the audio they play clips of Steve with "him also having daddy issues but helping the kids" or something like that and I could you not, started getting teary eyed because Steve being there for them, honestly touched my heart

Had I had a rather interesting dream last night.
I can't really remember much of my dream, only that someone dragged me to a dinner/celebration and a few of my family members were there, though they didn't really play any kind of important role in my dream. I remember getting into a waiting place, can't remember if it was inside or outside, just that there was a really pretty orange/gold glow and that there was one of those benches that have detailed armrests. Sitting hidden away from most people was Charlie Heaton and like we started talking like we already knew each other. I have no idea what happened next, only that I touched his side and he told me he had a massive bruise on there and to be careful. And like I knew that the person sitting next to me was Charlie Heaton, but in the dream my thoughts explained his bruise as "oh you know in season 3 of ST when that guy throws a chair at Jonathan? That's what caused his bruise"??? OK? I don't know what my thought process was but sure. We keep talking, then there is a literal time jump and suddenly we finished the dinner/celebration and I join Charlie again, I accidently touch his side again and I'm like "oh sorry did I touch your bruise?" and he like brushes it off like "oh don't worry" and then I join my grandma on the car and that's it? Like I remember Charlie in like snippets and at some point we even sit next to each other in like a reception or something similar and we joke, but I don't know when that happens.
I have literally no idea what happened. Like I do think Charlie is rather attractive and there is something about him I'm fascinated by, but he isn't like my favorite actor ever (no offense) and if it is something to do with ST since I've been obsessed with it recently, then why Charlie? Why dream of the actor and not the character?
I wouldn't say it's weird compare to my usual dreams, I would rather say it fits right in with the rest. Usually when I dream of something that includes celebrities or fictional characters, it follows a similar pattern, so I don't know if it might just be how my brain works and Charlie is just there because that's who my brain wanted to see or something. No idea

So I was scrolling through my Instagram and I came upon a very interesting concept for season 5 of Stranger Things. The trailer started with that scene of the fruity four inside Nancy's upside down bedroom where she looks at her diary and notes that her last entry was on November 6th 1983, even though it should be full of other entries, when they realize that they are in the past. Then it cuts to a scene of Will running in the upside down (I think it is a season 2 clip) followed by the fruity four running and stopping. And it's like a what if the fruity four found eleven year old Will who just arrived at the upside down and like..... That's a really good concept. I want to read a fic about that, actually. Like the fruity four helping Will to the HNL knowing the gate is there and coming out in their younger bodies from 83' with little Will and finding out they have time to change everything. Wouldn't that be amazing? Like there is a fuirty four fic about them traveling in time and start changing the course of the story. But the fruity four from 86' saving Will from 83' in the upside down and realizing that helping him made them travel in time and give them time to correct all the mistakes they made.... It's incredible
Someone please write that and send it to me

It's common knowledge that the writing of Stranger Things writing doesn't really make sense when it comes to Steve and the injuries he sustains and like I was just doing my daily daydreaming-zoning out moment of the day when I came to the realization that they went with the injured part only half way through. Bear with me. So picture this, it's season two, Billy just beat the living shits out of Steve and the kids cram him inside of the camaro to drive towards the tunnels. Steve is confused, his sight is blurry, he is in pain. They arrive at the tunnels and suddenly he can stand properly and is totally aware of his surrounding and has the energy to oppose the kids. No dizziness. No nausea. No nothing. He is aware enough to conduct the kids through the tunnels, and most people use adrenaline to explain his sudden energy gain, but like, no its not. He has barely stepped foot in the tunnels, he has yet to face danger, he just came back to his senses and suddenly he can work like a proper human being who isn't suffering a concussion. Like they went halfway through and didn't commit.

I was reading a Stranger Things fic. The Byers are still in Lenora and like nothing has yet to happen. There is a part where Jonathan comes home late from a party and Joyce is worried and she comes out mad more than worried and Jonathan is tired and he tells her that he can't seem to understand what his mom wants from him because she treats Will and El like children and Jonathan like an adult even though he is four years older than them. This prompts a whole fight between the two and while I was reading the next chapter, where Joyce has a nightmare and Will goes to check on her and when he asks if she needs help with anything, she calls him "baby", which then prompted me to think about other things. Such as how Will is like a few months short to be the age his brother was on the first season. Or like how Joyce will always treat them differently no matter what each of them has gone through. It's interesting because Will is still being babied but his brother was expected to act like an adult at that same age. I don't know what I'm trying to proof with this post I was just rather upset by the implications.

So like, I knew almost everything about stranger things before I actually watched it, so for a long time I just didn't watch the show but my friends had pressured me to do it last year and so I did. I'm about to finish the second season and like I've become obsessed with stranger things fics. And here is the big problem of this situation. In most ST fics, Steve has a bigger role in the plot than he has in the show. And since its almost predictable when he appears in fics, I've developed this mindset and it's seems like my brain has reached that point where it can't differentiate Canon from fanon. So I'm watching this scene in season two when Dustin tells his mom to go to Loch Nora to look for mews and my immediate thought was "oh Steve is going to appear soon" even though that's not true? I've been so used to reading about Steve that I keep forgetting he doesn't appear that much in the show, which like, it's mildly offensive. He's great.

I haven't watched a single episode of Stranger Things ever, yet I somehow know most of the events that happen, all of the ships, I have a pinterest board full of fanart, read a fair share of fanfics, watched compilation videos about stranger things and even watch deep dives and theories about it.
It's in my watch list, I just haven't gone around to doing it and like, I think it's neat I just procrastinate too much and for some reason my brain wants to go through everything even though I haven't seen it yet. And above all that, I have already baptized Steve as my favorite character just because. I really need to watch it because it's really strange when you enter a Fandom for something you haven't consumed.

I’ve got no idea if anyone else has thought about it, but I’ve have a theory about this last scene of Ben.
For you to understand where I’m coming from, we need to go through two different things. First, it seems like in this new universe, the characters might be living their fantasies or what they desire the most (such as Allison with Claire and Ray or Reginald with his lover from the first season). The second thing we need to understand, is that the show makes a very subtle show about how Sparrow!Ben and Brelly!Ben are different. Like yeah, Sparrow!Ben is a dickhead, but the way they show us their different likes. We have seen throughout the first season that Brelly!Ben reads. Like a lot. And Sparrow!Ben on the other hand, has interest in art. When Viktor ends up in his room, he has multiple sketches on display. Viktor doesn’t comment on it and it is never brought up in the conversation, but it is clear it was placed there as a visual difference between the two characters.
Now taking into account those two things, I would like to theorize that the Ben we see in the train in Seoul, is actually Brelly!Ben. He was reading a book and the smile he had on his face was softer, not smug. I don’t know what might have happened and why it would be Brelly!Ben who ended up in the new universe and not Sparrow!Ben, seeing as that was the one who was in the Oblivion and all that, but what do we know tbh. I kept joking with my friend that it would be so cool if it were to be a situation similar to Moon Knight. If the two of them were living in the same body or they were twins. That would be so interesting to watch. Anyway, tell me what you think about it, because I honestly do believe there is some bases there.
