Recently I was gifted a Tattoo Colouring in Book and I found this Frankenstein one that I really liked the composition of - so I decided to try Redrawing it in my own style (and help fight the art block). I might colour/paint it in later, who knows?

Hi Tumblr, sorry I haven’t been doing much - but I did a re-paint on this Little Creature and she’s the only thing that’s been keeping me sane during this holiday season lol

Last Song: Breaking the Law by Judas Priest and the Goofy Goober rock song (yes from the SpongeBob movie)

Favourite Colour: idk how to describe it - I tend to prefer colour combinations over choosing a single colour, but I do like a good Navy/Dark Blue, or whatever the hell you call the colour of the sky at around Dusk/night or Clouds right before a Storm. (Here’s a few of my favourite Swatches that fit The Vibe-)

Last Show/Film I watched: It was either Our Flag Means Death (season 1), Phantom of the Paradise or Nimona

Flavour: Savoury/Salty (and a tonne of Garlic) or, on the flip side, Cinnamon

Relationship Status: Single (Insert witty and obscure variation on the Women and Fish rhetoric here)

Last thing I Googled: “How to fill in Gaps between Concrete Slabs”

Current Obsessions: Music (mostly Ghost, but I’ve recently been getting into Greta van Fleet, Judas Priest, The Cramps and other various Rock bands), Classic Monster Movies, Tattoos and Knitting (specifically making Gothic/weird stuff, like an Eyeball plant)

I tried out painting with Gauche for the first/second time in as a Fine Arteest

Also attempted to do a more Realistic style - I rarely do Portraits like this, so I’m not sure how I went but overall! It was pretty fun ngl ^_^

So as an Update on the Wolf Tutorial that I promised a while back, I realised that I didn’t actually know Diddly Squat about wolves (or their correct anatomy) - so I had a go at trying to draw them Realistically in order to get their Anatomy better down pat. How did I go?

(The first two were drawn in pen during my work breaks over the course of 1-2 weeks, the third was trying to emulate another artist’s style and the fourth was drawn during a 20min lunch break when I was feeling Particularly Angsty lol)

I’ll admit that I’ve been having a spot of trouble trying to find the time to draw these days (while juggling 7-10hr work shifts, on top of trying to take care of myself as an Adult Human Being) - But! To keep up the habit of drawing (at least One Thing a Day), I started a doing little Comic Journal of what I would get up to. Hey tumblr, I know it’s been a Hot Minute since I last posted, but I Need Your Advice/any critiques you have to offer on these wips -

For context, I am putting together a Tutorial on Wolves/werewolves for a friend of mine (who is a fellow artist and is also probably viewing this 👋) and here are some of the wips I have put together thus far:

I am planning to draw at least double this amount and do a tonne of Cleanup, but in the meantime is there anything obvious that needs to be fixed/do you believe any of this would be Tutorial worthy?

On a Completely Unrelated Note - I recently went to go see the Moulin Rouge live on stage

(the international/Australian tour - it was fantastic and I’ll probably write a seperate post/make a review on it at a later date if anyone’s interested?)

But anyways one of the stand out characters I found was Harold Zidler, played by Simon Burke - a man who apparently had quite the Actor’s Resume, and even received the biggest encore from the audience during the show’s finale etc. I thought he was pretty cool, but didn’t know why he seemed so familiar.

Then On the way home, my dumbass realised that he was one of the hosts from Play School (circa the 80s-90s).

This man

Who was basically acting as if Aziraphale (from Good Omens) had become a fallen Angel and decided to open a French-Bohemian Nightclub

Kissing boys and doing crappy Russel Crowe impersonations, while gavotting about a Decked Out stage with CanCan dancers

Was the Same guy who I used to watch as a kid during Play School??

Honestly, I am Impressed - 10/10 would recommend going to see the musical if you ever get the chance
