Dutch Wolves

It has been a while! Felt a little burned out, so took some time to catch my breath and recharge.

This summer we had young wolves in the Netherlands and ever since I heard the news, I wanted to illustrate a scene with young wolves.

The style is inspired by the film Wolfwalkers, hope you like it!

So as an Update on the Wolf Tutorial that I promised a while back, I realised that I didn’t actually know Diddly Squat about wolves (or their correct anatomy) - so I had a go at trying to draw them Realistically in order to get their Anatomy better down pat. How did I go?

(The first two were drawn in pen during my work breaks over the course of 1-2 weeks, the third was trying to emulate another artist’s style and the fourth was drawn during a 20min lunch break when I was feeling Particularly Angsty lol)

Hello, here’s some wolf’s rain fanart. I drew this years ago in pencil for a high school project.

Recently, I was watching a compilation about these beautiful idiots, and sustained psychic damage from how sad it was. I had completely forgotten.

This made me go back and rework this until I was satisfied with it. If anyone ever wants to see the original pencil version, please let me know. Otherwise, please enjoy this as much as I do!
