I think we as a fandom need to talk about how Adrien expresses love and affection. How he saves his most honest, most filter-free words and moments, for the times he things they least matter. For the moments he is being flippant or encouraging. For the times he needs to be a source of strength rather than use one. But when he feels like he really needs to share a feeling or emotion, he worries over it, he makes jokes and acts carefree and beats around the bush. And somehow always conveniently gets stopped just before he can say what he needs to say (or perhaps that was done on purpose), because deep down he is scared of being vulnerable and of sharing emotions that will only be used against him, that have been used against him by his father

Are we going to talk about the fact that Luka and Kagami have the same exact goal in Determination that Alya and Nino have in the NY special, of trying to get Adrinette together by having Marinette be more clear in her communication and having Adrien gain more insight into the world around him, and then try to carry out their plan in the same exact way by locking them in a room together, which is almost immediately foiled both times by an akuma who bursts into the room, only for the plan to sort of work out anyway and Adrinette’s feelings and relationship become strengthened?
