i have complicated thoughts on this season. being a bridge between the first book and the second book that neil gaiman and terry pratchett originally planned out, i get that its purpose was to explain the situations coming in season 3 and make the transition between the two plots smoother.
at times, the season evidently feels like a collection of filler episodes that focus a little too much on pleasing one part of the fandom, but i think the ever-growing, layered dynamic between aziraphale and crowley and tennant's and sheen's devotion to their characters makes up for it.
the last 10 minutes wrecked me but i feel like it'll make their reunion in the next season that much sweeter. i understand aziraphale's perspective at the end, but i think he has a lot of character development to go through (i doubt he was entirely clear-headed at the end but it's not entirely out of character for him to make that choice).
spoilers and unpopular opinions ahead -
when i watched season 1, i was delighted that crowley and aziraphale were portrayed as 'obviously together but not exactly in a traditionally human sense'. i was really hoping that it would continue.
them repeating the notion of 'our car', 'our bookshop', 'carving out a precious, peaceful, fragile existence for us', 'we could've been us' and their loud micro-expressions during the alpha centauri conversation, or when crowley finally tries to communicate with aziraphale was more than enough to portray how much they need and love each other's existence.
the kiss, personally, was underwhelming and slightly unreal. i didn't need it, but i'm not necessarily complaining about it. their body language during the scene also helped amplify the angst of their situation. i highly doubt the kiss would've happened if everything was well and good, so i'm not complaining.
watching aziraphale and crowley watch gabriel and beelzebub get their happy ending was an excellent touch of heartache.
all in all, crowley continues to be one of the most unmatched characters i've ever seen and good omens (minus the last 10 mins of s2) will continue to be my comfort show for a long time.

Can we see your elaborate notion page please
hello! i’m assuming you mean the reading list page, so here you go -
first i have booklists, which open up to the main reading list but filtered according to the subjects of the booklist - i need this section because i’m very interested in history and natural sciences but they aren’t really my academic subjects, only design studies is. my goal is to read atleast one of each every month.
then i have a gallery of my current reads and books i’d like to read next
Tumblr media Tumblr media
after that is my main reading list, a huge database. it’s still under progress, i have to add in a lot more books here (both read and unread).
i add in specific tags that i use to filter my booklists (like indian history, recommended fiction, design list etc.).
i also have a Why Read? property where i have ‘descriptive’ tags for times when i need convincing to read the book
i’ve seen people have a rating column as well, but since i don’t rate books generally i didn’t bother adding it.
the checkbox is for owned books.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
lastly is the gallery of books i’m done reading, for this year and all-time.
Tumblr media
it’s pretty basic and not fancy at all. but it works for me.
sometimes it takes a little effort to maintain it, like adding the book covers and updating the list often. although, now and then it feels good to look at the complete page. i get a sense of accomplishment even though a vast majority of these books are unread. good to see them all in one place.
hope this helps!

this week -
the mornings have been cloudy with the sun occasionally peeking out.
i visited a partially crowded waterfall river that had a small temple perched in it’s centre - the waterfall is named after the goddess in the temple, an ancestral tutelary deity. watching the water cascade and splash within the space they’ve created among the rocks was insanely therapeutic.
reading has been chaotic:
began ruined by design by mike monteiro; it’s a required reading for my upcoming semester and i have so many questions. definitely setting the tone for the semester though.
making good progress on we the drowned by jensten carsen - again, lots of thoughts. it’s agonisingly slow and it’s not a book i can binge-read; still get excited to continue it everyday.
kept things fall apart and flight of deities on hold because i figured they need more attention and focus than i can give right now.
i started taking illustration seriously again (due to a trivial instagram story where i posted stuff i previously made and the consequent encouraging messages i received).

I saw your recent post on organizing your books and I was wondering how you sorted them. I'm cleaning out my bookshelf and I can't decide on a way to organize them
i first segregate them into groups of genres i’m more interested in reading right now -
indian history, non-fiction and fiction
asian and african literature
classics
everything else
and then i stack the books / line them up on the shelf in alphabetical order.
hope that helps!

the joyous high of discovering new books and adding them to my black hole of a reading list on notion; adding my own silly-but-specific tags to them to remind myself later why i want to read them; lovingly gazing at the most elaborate and functional notion system i've ever created for myself
