Movie Night
Pairing: Romance-Established, NW Ben x Reader Warnings: None Word Count: 715 words Summary: One night alone with your super sweet boyfriend. It could only mean one thing: MOVIE MARATHON! Most would say Ben Tennyson finding a girlfriend like you was unthinkable, what with his social awkwardness and lack of manliness, but joke's on them, you're attracted to that. Scenario: Movie Night A/N: Okay, so this one's not actually a request from anyone, I just got tired of writing so many evil Bens, so I decided to cook up a F/O for my personal favorite!
You came over so often that you didn’t have to knock. Ben had given you permission to let yourself in, stating that he was too lazy to get up, but he found it was a nice mark of how comfortable you two had gotten with each other. When you two had started dating, he had been on edge the entire time, worrying that one small slip-up would chase you away.
Perhaps it was because of the assumptions of his peers that had driven him to this conclusion. As a result of his social awkwardness, goody-two-shoes behavior, and plainness in general, they were always saying that Ben Tennyson was least likely to find a girlfriend, especially one like you.
But, the laws of extreme probability inexplicably worked in his favor and here you were. Ben was at first scared he wasn't enough and felt like he had to constantly sell you on reasons to stick around, but once you let him know you loved him for him, things became more natural. Now, your days were full of fun hangouts, and your nights full of beautiful moments alone.
Tonight was one of those nights. You were supposed to come over tonight, but when Ben heard a knock at the door, he was a little confused.
Ben opened the door and saw why you had knocked this time, or why you “knocked.” It looked like you had kicked at the door with what little balance you had to try and get his attention. You were standing on one foot, trying to adjust your grip on the clunky-looking digital projector you were holding in your arms. As Ben opened the door, you gave a huge grin and attempted to lift the projector up for emphasis, nearly disrupting the fragile balance of your grip and the backpack strap hanging off your shoulder.
“I'm heeeeeeeere~!” you chirped as you let Ben take the projector from you as you followed him into the house.
“When you suggested a movie night, I thought we’d be watching at your house. Y’know, somewhere with an actual TV.” Ben set the projector down, not entirely sure what your plan was, considering his TV was broken down and in need of repair.
You pulled a laptop out of your bag and tapped the cover. “*Pshhh*, you don’t need a TV when you have a laptop and an emo friend who can download new movies for you.” You started pushing Ben's couch against the wall, clearing the middle of the living room. “Be sure to thank Kevin for being a begrudging sponsor of this date.”
Ben felt your enthusiasm catch on and he set to work helping you execute this movie night setup. It didn’t take long for you both to have everything ready: a foam cushion lining the floor, snacks, and an obscene amount of blankets. You took a moment to appreciate the movie nest you two had built before you pulled over the laptop that was plugged into the projector and started going through the movie options.
“This was a lot of work just to watch a movie that’s got a 30% on Rotten Tomatoes,” Ben teased as you hovered the cursor over one of your go-to movie picks.
“Sumo Slammers: Origins, prequel to the hit movie adaptation of the famous videogame masterpiece, is a masterpiece that was before it’s time!” you replied with mock exasperation.
“You have that movie on DVD, we could’ve just watched that at your house,” Ben grabbed a handful of popcorn as you continued to scroll.
“And have my parents and/or siblings interrupt us every five minutes? Sounds fun,” you joked as Ben draped his arm over your shoulder, shifting so you could lean more comfortably into him.
“Besides, I think you much prefer the privacy here,” you said, poking Ben’s arm. He blushed and elbowed you back.
“No! I mean, yeah, but like, dates are always less likely to go wrong under proper supervision," Ben said sheepishly.
You laughed in reply. "I think they're better when your mom isn’t in the next room.” You raised your eyebrow at Ben, who blushed even more.
“But I do have to admit...the blanket nest is pretty cool.” You rested your head against Ben’s as the movie started.
“Love you, Doofus.”
“Love you too!”

Cat’s Out of the Bag
Pairing: Friendship-Established, Bad Ben x Reader Warnings: None Word Count: 1,065 words Summary: “Evil” was the first word everyone would use to describe Bad when asked about him. uhhh hi! could i request some fluffy ben 10 headcanons where the reader is touch starved and very cuddly/clingy and ben is a dumbass in love? thank you!
Reader is gender neutral
CW (CONTENT WARNING): None
Tumblr media
- Ben is smart and people don’t know that. He has the capacity to adapt to his situations ever since he was 10 and is continuing to adapt to situations when things don’t go his way.
- That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be a dumbass most of the time.
- He loves the affection you give him. He still has the ego of his kid years as he revels in the attention everyone gives him. He lives for yours specifically, especially when you cuddle him while drinking some Mr. Smoothie. Just hope that the Mr. Smoothie isn’t some freaky flavor if you were thinking of kissing.
- If you want to put Ben in a good mood for the rest of the week, wear his hoodie, wrap your arms around him and say that he’s the greatest boyfriend you could ask for, he’s gonna be having a stupid grin on his face that everyone wants to punch.
- Sharing is caring and Ben is a firm believer in that. So whenever you feel particularly touch starved, he returns the favor by hugging you tightly or on his lap as he plays his video games. It's a win-win situation.
- He gets off-days, especially when the burden of being the universe's savior is demanding. He lays down with you as the little spoon and just... exists with you. No alien baddies to fight, no galaxy saving adventures, no anything. In your arms, he was just plain old Ben Tennyson.

If you can, could I have some headcanons for Ben Prime?? Just something sweet and platonic, like surprising him on his birthday when everyone else was busy?? Please??
I know that you said headcanons, but I wrote a fic. (*Cough cough* Totally not making up for the fact that I totally forgot my own boyfriend's birthday.)
Surprise
Platonic! Ben Prime x Childhood Friend! Reader | reader's gender is not mentioned.

It didn’t snow all that often in Bellwood, and when it did, it wasn’t that much. In fact, Ben can only barely remember the last time it did. He had to have been in kindergarten- maybe first grade. There wasn’t even enough snow on the ground to make a snowball, and yet school was canceled because everyone panicked. This time, however, everything seemed at peace and it was even less than last time. A little too peaceful to not hurt. He’d woken up to a few ‘happy birthday’ texts, texted one back to Gwen, and then went about the day.
Anyone who could have known when his special day was, was busy or off planet, leaving the hero to spend the day alone. Which was a bit weird, his mom and dad always made sure they had the day free so they could do something special, but this time they were busy. That was fine, he understood, they’ll probably do something to make up for tomorrow or in a few days. It seemed like the universe decided to give him a break though, on solo patrol all day with no action. It was great that no one was at risk for getting hurt, but it left him itching to do something.
Ben ended patrol early, figuring that if something happened he’d be alerted. He bought himself a smoothie, full price as Mr. Smoothies had stopped doing half off for birthdays deal when too many people found out and took advantage of it. He was probably the only person there seeing as how only he would be buying a smoothie in cold weather- but he did go back to his car and sit with the heater on. Everyday he was on his toes, something always seemed to happen, leading him to forget just how lonely it is. On any other day it would have been a godsend, but today he was supposed to be celebrated… That isn’t egotistical, right?
Secretly, he hoped it was all staged, that he’d suddenly have Gwen and Kevin pop up as a surprise for both his and Gwen's birthday, but finals were next week and they were probably way too busy for that. Ben has never been a social media or mobile game person- if you ignore the sumo slammer’s mobile game he’s played through at least five times already- but he keeps his phone open. Waiting for anything at all.
It must have been intuition because another text notification popped up. It was you, a longtime friend- since as long as he could remember really. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a happy birthday or anything. You had shared your location with him. By nature, he assumed the worst, had someone targeted you? Were you in trouble?
He opened up the GPS on his phone and was guided to… the Bellwood soccer fields. The grass was wet and covered with a thin layer of slushy snow. He got out, noticing you in the middle of the empty field. You hadn’t ever been one to like soccer, but there you were, with a ball on your hip. “Hey Tennyson! Happy Birthday you goober!” You say, tossing him the ball when he got close enough. He catches it with ease, a smile spreading quickly.
“Goober? You haven’t called me that since freshman year!” he says, joining you in the middle of the field. You only shrug as he looks around at the empty fields. It was bone cold, and one of your biggest things you would fight over when you were kids is just how boring you found sports to be. “You don’t even know how to play- and it’s freezing.” He watches you shrug.
“When has the cold ever bothered me? Plus, when we were in fifth grade you promised me that you would teach me how to play. Today's the day to make good on that promise.”
-
Even in the cold the two of you were dripping with sweat, laughing as the sun made its descent known. The round pink mark partially on his nose bridge and forehead making you burst out laughing every time you tried to regain composure. After hours of practice and explaining, you had eventually caught on enough to 1v1. You played many times over, your longtime friend and birthday boy winning all of them, but this time he ended up with a ball to the face. It stung a little bit, but he didn’t mind- in his own fit of laughter at your wheezing and snorting laughter.
Eventually, your laughter died down and he was able to peel you from the ground. You began to dig through your bag, pulling out two small presents. One was a green wrapped box the size of a deck of cards and then a gift box with a sparkly silver bow on top. “Here, it’s not much but it’s all I could afford right now. I’ll make it up to you later. Promise.” You say as you hand it to him. He shakes his head.
“Nah, don't worry about it. I had a lot of fun today.”
He had offered you a ride home, but you insisted that you had to walk- something about getting steps in. The moment he closes himself in his car again, he looks down at the presents. The gift box had ‘open me first!’ written on the top. Of course he did. Pulling off the lid, he was first greeted with a note. ‘Remember this? You forgot it and I kept it all this time, but I thought you should have it.’ Looking past it is a picture frame made out of popsicle sticks, decorated with glitter glue, stickers, googly eyes, and elbow macaroni.
The frame itself held a single photo your mom had taken, the reason behind the nickname. The two of you at age five, napping on your bed. His mouth was wide open, with a large pool of drool under his head, soaking into one of your pillows. He remembers you waking him up, and when he sat a thick string of drool was attached to his face and the pillow- And henceforth he was referred to as Goob or Goober… until alien stuff started to take over. There it was. In his chest begins to bubble up the regret. He missed this, you, all of his other friends.
He misses soccer games and birthday parties, going to the local arcade after school and blowing that last of his allowance. He misses when everyone had so little going on that they remembered his birthday.
But, at least he had you.
Placing the box on the passenger's seat, he tears into the golden wrapping paper of the other present. “Wait- no way.” It was a set of Sumo Slammers cards, first edition that were only sold in japan. Judging by the fact that they still had the plastic wrapping on them, they had never been opened. A short and astonished laugh leaves him, almost involuntarily. How did you get these? How did you afford these? No collector in their right mind would sell them for any reasonable price.
He did one more round of patrolling before deciding to call it quits. By that time the sun had already gone down, so the drive home was dark. Pulling into the driveway next to his parents car, but the lights were off. If they’re home then it’s around the time dinner was usually made and nowhere near the time they went to bed, why would the lights be out?
Cautiously, he got out of his car and made his way to the front door. Something just… felt off about this. Maybe the universe hadn’t actually given him a break for his birthday at all. He swears if someone got his mom and dad involved again- The front door wasn’t unlocked, so with a quick turn of the handle he bursts into the dark living room. His face is illuminated by the Omnitrix's roster for a split second as he opens it, the lights flip on with a loud shout of “Surprise!” His eyes widen, as he’s frozen, about to slam his hand down on the Omnitrix.
You, his Mom and Dad were standing in the decorated living room. Streamers hung from the ceiling, on the wall over the couch was a banner reading ‘Happy birthday Ben!’ with a bunch of his favorite snacks and a cake decorated in various shades of green. He blinks rapidly, looking over the room and everybody there. A smile slowly splits his face as his mother pulls him into a tight hug. Of course they hadn’t forgotten, it all made sense now. Why you had him out at the soccer fields all day.
Surprise party.

Stargazing date // Ben Tennyson (Ben 10 UAF) x Alien! reader
Tumblr media
‘Ding dong!’
You made your way to the door at the sound of the doorbell. Try as you might, you could barely repress your exhilaration, as evident by the spring in your steps. You opened the door to see Ben smiling. The Mark 10 was parked not too far from him.
“Someone seems eager,” Ben chuckled. You cleared your throat.
“Sorry about that. I… couldn’t contain my excitement.”
“No need to apologise. I am pretty excited myself,” Ben smiled. “Come on. Let’s go.” He went to his car and opened the door for you. Smiling a little, you thanked him as you went inside. Ben grinned at you before going to sit at the driver’s seat. He started the engine and off the two of you went. You stared out of the window, admiring the scenery that seemed to fly by you. Ben stole a glance at you, smiling at how content you looked. His actions did not go unnoticed by you.
“What is it?” you asked.
“Nothing much. Just admiring my wonderful partner,” Ben replied, a tinge of awkwardness in his voice.
“…Oh. Thank you,” you beamed slightly. The rest of the drive went by peacefully with the two of you just enjoying each other’s company.
The two of you eventually arrived at a secluded forested area. You looked around to see if there was anyone around. Once you made sure that the coast was clear, you removed your ID mask to reveal your true form. The corner of Ben’s lips curled into a fond smile. In his eyes, you looked great no matter what form you took.
“Shall we place the mat?“ you asked, interrupting his thoughts. Ben nodded and voiced his agreement. Together, the two of you carried out the said task and laid on the mat. A comfortable silence settled over the two of you. Ben turned to face you, silently appreciating how relaxed you looked. The two of you had agreed to have the date here so that you could be as you were comfortably. And it seemed to be doing the trick.
"Do you think we can see your home planet from here?” he wondered aloud, turning his attention to the stars twinkling in the clear night sky.
“I don’t think so,” you chuckled. According to your adoptive parents (who also happened to be Plumbers) and your research, your home planet was very, very far away.
“… Do you ever desire to go back?” There was a hint of sadness in Ben’s voice but he forced a smile.
“The thought of reconnecting with my roots did cross my mind a few times,” you confessed. “But this is my home now. I got my parents, friends like Gwen and Kevin… and you.” You cleared your throat.
“Pardon me. That got a little sentimental.”
“Yeah but it’s cool,” Ben laughed softly. His eyes widened when he spotted a streak of light in the sky.
"Look! A shooting star! Shall we make a wish?”
You blinked a couple of times at his suggestion. Despite having lived on Earth for as long as you could remember, you still found human customs… peculiar sometimes (Why did humans wish upon a falling meteor? There was no scientific basis for it). But you decided to push your questions aside and go along with Ben’s suggestion. The two of you closed your eyes and quietly made your wishes.
“You know, it was because I mistook the pod carrying the Omnitrix for a shooting star that I am able to experience all these crazy but awesome stuff, including meeting you. So I suppose I should thank shooting stars for that,” Ben grinned. You hummed in agreement and nodded. The two of you smiled at each other before turning your attention back to the sky, simply relaxing and enjoying each other’s presence.

yin & yang pt. 4
Pairing: Ben Tennyson x Fem!Reader
Warnings: None
Word Count: 3.7k words
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Summary: You were an unlikely pair, everyone could see that. But what happens when you get a glimpse into a future where your differences were too much for you to bear?
A/N: Once again just a silly little self-indulgent fic. Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Ben groaned in boredom, laying his face against the dirty tables outside Mr. Smoothie. Not even the smoothie, cheekily titled banana-fantana, was able to cheer him up like Gwen had been hoping.
"What's up with you?" Kevin asked, drinking his soda that he got from a nearby vending machine, after he had refused a smoothie four times.
"I miss (Y/N)." He mumbled, pouting.
They shared a glance over his head. Gwen ushered for Kevin to speak but he shook his head adamantly, mouthing that he wanted no part in this and crossing his arms.
Gwen glared at him.
"Speaking of (Y/N)—" Kevin began, all too quickly.
Ben finally raised his head from the table to look at Kevin and his friend bit his tongue, turning back to Gwen with wide eyes and beckoning her to speak.
"Uh, it's not that we don't like (Y/N)—we do! She's a great addition to the team and a good friend even—and um, Kevin?"
The man in question gave her a wicked glare before Ben turned to him and the murderous expression on his face was wiped away, "Gwen's just concerned that you might be—how did she put it—'acting like a lovesick fool'."
The look he got from Gwen was in stark contrast to the pig-headed grin he was bearing.
"What are you talking about?"
Gwen finally sighed, placing a hand on his shoulder, "We all know that you have this crush on (Y/N) but—and I mean this in the nicest way possible—but don't you think it's time that you start, you know, trying to get over her?"
He raised a brow, "Why on earth would I do that?"
"It's nice that you like her so much, but you know what (Y/N)'s like; she's driven and focused and her career as a Proctor is the most important thing to her—not that that's a bad thing! It's just—well—someone like that doesn't really seem like the type to date or be into relationships, you know?"
"That's not all what she's about. I know it doesn't seem like it but she's actually really sensitive and sweet."
They shared another glance, unconvinced.
"Guys, I'm serious! We have something between us!" He defended, unconsciously clenching his fist, and crushing the half-full smoothie cup in his hand.
Gwen let out an irate sigh.
Growing up, she had only heard of how smart she was from everyone surrounding her—her parents, her grandfather, even Ben—and yet whenever she tried to explain something to people, they tended not to listen.
If only Ben would listen to her now, he'd be able to avoid so much pain in the future. Whenever she tried to gently nudge him, he'd never listen so this time she took a more direct approach and yet, he still wasn't listening.
"Ben, please. I can tell that you're actually falling for her but honestly, where do you even see this going? Do you actually believe that you're going to get married and have kids or something like that?"
"Gwen, I'm just sixteen, it's way too soon to be worrying about something like that!"
"So, you're just going to date her until it becomes a problem?"
Ben rolled his eyes, standing from the table, "How about you mind your own business and keep your nose out of my relationship. I don't have to sit here and convince you of anything."
Kevin watched him walk away before letting out a low whistle, ignoring his girlfriend's glare, "I told you that was a bad idea."
***
Ben kept a single hand on the wheel as he drove the two of you over the museum, where you were supposed to meet Gwen and Kevin for a mission. You had long stopped reprimanding him for not driving with both hands since he began throwing tantrums and claiming he couldn't focus if your fingers weren't intertwined with his free one.
The roads were empty at this time of night anyway.
"Hey, did Gwen talk to you about anything? Me, specifically?" Ben brought up and you immediately picked up on the slight squeeze of his hand in yours but didn't comment on it.
"Not lately, no. Is something wrong?"
Ben let out a relieved sigh, "Nope, nothing at all."
You raised a brow at this, staring at him with suspicious eyes. He eventually caught on to your prying gaze and immediately attempted to change the topic, pretending like you didn't notice his futile attempts to do so.
"That's a pretty necklace, where'd you get it?"
You rolled your eyes, watching as a cheeky grin grew on his face at your response. He was not hiding his giddiness very well, but how could he? You, his beautiful girlfriend, whom his cousin said was a monotonous emotionless dead-end (she didn't actually say this, but Ben was offended all the same), was wearing the necklace that he had gifted her.
It was fairly simple, a thin chain with a small pendant with a gemstone. He knew you wouldn't wear something that was flashy or too gaudy, so he settled for something he knew you'd like.
And the sight of you wearing the necklace even though you usually insisted that any accessories that weren't a part of the uniform could sometimes hinder the mission was completely worth the hours of time spent staring at different necklaces that all looked the same and troubling his mother for advice until she hurled a wet sponge at his head.
***
When he was responding to the distress signal on his Omnitrix at the museum, Ben wasn't expecting to get attacked by a bunch of ninja that seemed to appear out of nowhere before disappearing into thin air.
You stared at the green tablet in the crate as you wondered just where you had seen the artifact before.
"It's the Hands of Armageddon." You explained, going through your database quickly to pull up all the information the plumbers had on it, "It's an artifact that was secured by the plumbers more than 2 centuries ago. It's said to be a crosstime gateway created by the Chronians, but we have yet to prove that. It's virtually indestructible though. The Plumbers have had multiple attempts and they all resulted in mass disasters."
You turned to Gwen, "The vision you saw was probably an alternate dimension—"
"Right as always, young (Y/N)."
Before the flash of light behind you could even disappear, you were pointing a gun at it, only lowering it when you saw Paradox emerge through the blinding light, accompanied by someone you'd never met before and yet, still recognized.
"Who's your friend?"
Ben stared at him with apprehension before realization struck him, "Are you?"
The man responded with a startlingly deep voice, "That's right, Ben, I'm you—only even more awesome."
You were hardly surprised, the man before you was a splitting image of your boyfriend and you averted your gaze to hide the oncoming heat to your cheeks at the sight of his beard and his stronger build. He certainly grew up nicely.
Ben 10k and Professor Paradox didn't waste any time and began to explain just what problems the group of you had somehow managed to get stuck in once again. As the four of you heard their explanations, you heard a slight sound coming from the back of the museum.
"Shh."
Ben 10k raised a brow at you, opening his mouth to say something when you shushed him again, with a fierce glare this time. It was only a second more before you were swerving around to point your gun at another intruder, a woman this time, who was pointing her own gun at you.
Your mouth dropped open in shock, faced with an older version of yourself.
She looked like you, that much was obvious, but she was also different, much more womanly than you were, with more rounded curves and a more matured face.
Recognizing her younger self, the you from the future lowered her own gun and placed it back into her holster, taking a look around the room and registering just how many faces were there.
"What the hell is she doing here?!"
She raised a brow at him, lips pursed in annoyance, "Excuse me?"
Paradox sighed, "I apologize for this, Ben, but this involves her future as well."
He gritted his teeth in fury, rolling his eyes, "That's just great."
You spared a glance at your boyfriend, whose face had fallen so far it looked like he had just had his heart broken.
Gwen sighed, whispering something that had only been audible, to him and you watched as his face fell deeper, "I tried to warn you, Ben."
***
Professor Paradox was one of the most infuriating people in the entire universe. You had gathered as much since the first time you had the displeasure of meeting him, but he seemed intent on reminding you exactly why you disliked him.
He spoke in riddles, appeared and disappeared as he pleased, never made any sense but expected everyone to listen to him with no explanation whatsoever.
And so, it didn't help your opinion of him when the cargo hull of the jet began rumbling, signalling intruders, that he was all too quick to disappear without bothering to help fight them.
You cursed out his mother in your head as he vanished within a flash of light, pocket-watch in hand and a quippy remark on his lips.
The ninjas began appearing out of nowhere and despite there being the five of you, you were confined to a small space, and they multiplied like pests until the whole hull was full of them. It obviously didn't help that Ben 10k chose then to transform into humungousaur, taking up the remaining of what little space you had.
You didn't even have enough time to come up with a good strategy before you were being attacked with multiple opponents at the same time. It didn't take much to disarm one of them, now using their own swords to attack them.
There were too many and they just kept appearing. Your eyes bounced around the room, trying to figure out how to get the upper hand in such a cramped space.
Your older self, having the same idea, sprinted across the room, disarming as many soldiers around her as she could. Although, there was something odd about the way she moved.
She was at the same strength level as you were. After 20 years, shouldn't she be more adept than you were? Ben was capable of using his arsenal of powers without even transforming into any aliens, but she didn't display any remarkable feat of strength.
It was almost as though she wasn't able to. An injury perhaps? Maybe she was still recovering? You bit your lip, slashing the sword through another ninja. If you could find out what caused it, maybe you could prevent it from happening to you.
"Stay out of this, (Y/N)!" Ben 10k snarled, voice booming through the room and causing slight vibrations in the metal due to his size.
You paused for a second, sharing a glance with your boyfriend, who seemed equally surprised. Your future self, unbothered, continued to stampede through the other opponents until she reached the switch to the hangar and flipped it open.
Immediately the hangar opened, and you braced yourself, holding onto Ben's car that had been strapped down. Ben had the same idea, holding onto the handles and pressing his front against your back, making sure you were both anchored down.
The ninjas flew out of the jet, the vacuum of wind deeming too much for them and you watched them disappear, one by one, as they capsized through the air before the hangar door finally closed again.
"What the hell were you thinking?! That was so incredibly reckless—"
"Stop talking to her like that!" Your Ben interrupted his future self, wedging himself in between your future counterparts and glaring at him, "You're acting like an ass instead of apologizing! If I were you, I'd be on my knees begging for her to take me back!"
"Take me back? What are you—We're not broken up!"
Ben's eyes widened at this before he turned to your future self, "And you'd stay with someone who'd treat you like that?"
The woman in question sighed, placing a soothing hand on his shoulder, "Try not to be too upset, Ben. He's not usually like this. He's just mad—"
"I'm not mad at (Y/N)." Ben 10k argued, crossing his arms and everyone raised a brow, they clearly didn't believe him. Your future self merely gave him a blank stare before he caved.
"Alright fine, I'm mad at you." Hardly a surprise, "Need I remind you that we just left our son all alone at our home that was just attacked by a bunch of ninjas?"
Ben's jaw dropped open hearing that. Our son? He had a son? With the love of his life no less? This whole time he thought that there was nothing but disappointment and heartbreak for your future together but now he's finding out that he had a family with the girl he was in love with?
Funny that it was only this morning he was claiming that he was too young to be thinking of such things and yet, the thought had his heart swelling.
"I checked on him before we left, no one even made it to the hallway outside his room. Besides, when we go back, we'll be taken to the exact moment we left, not even a fraction of a second later. Kenny will be fine."
"It would be nice if you could show some concern at least." He huffed, "You're not even worried about the fact that we just left our newborn alone. All you're thinking about is this mission and you're putting yourself at risk."
Future you rolled her eyes, sighing as she took a seat on ship, "Here we go again."
"Oh, forgive me for worrying about my wife. Where do I get the audacity?" Her husband shot a glare at her.
Gwen's eyes flitted between the two of them, only able to see the similarities between their relationship in the future and also in the present. Her cousin apparently got married and started a family with the girl she didn't think was good enough for him.
Would Ben still not be able to see what a mistake he's making, even after a decade? Or was she the one who wasn't able to see clearly?
"(Y/N), you just gave birth five weeks ago and you haven't fully recovered. You're supposed to be taking it easy, not fighting some crazed time traveller. "
No wonder she was moving at a slower rate than usual, she was still in her post-partum recovery. For a woman who just spent the last 10 months of her life growing and then providing for a living, breathing human, she fought impressively well. You mentally patted yourself on the back.
"Firstly, I can take care of myself. Secondly, Paradox didn't ask before zapping us back here."
"Fair enough but I want you to be on the sidelines for the remainder of the mission unless absolutely necessary." He folded his arms, giving a firm stare that meant he was being resolute. Your future self held his stare for a second before coming to the realization that not much would deter him.
She sighed, "Fine."
A pleased smile made its way to his face as he leaned down to kiss her forehead, "Excellent."
"You're a lot of work, Tennyson."
"Right back at you, Tennyson."
You spared a glance at your boyfriend, choosing to keep the information that you found his impish grin at the thought of a future with you adorable a secret and instead asked, "Did you really think that we had broken up in the future?"
His brows went toward his hairline, "You didn't? They were practically at each other's throats the whole time."
"Firstly, they're each wearing wedding rings, and second," You walked over to your future self, reaching for her collar and pulling out a familiar chain from underneath her shirt, "I saw this the second she got here."
Ben blushed, "You still wear it? It looks a little different though."
"I replaced the gem." She explained, toying with the pendant.
"Why?"
"It's her son's birthstone." "It's my son's birthstone." Both (Y/N)'s said in unison and the others gave you a bewildered stare.
"How'd you know?"
You shrugged, "Because that's something I would do."
***
Once again, you were all left in the middle of the desert at night after Paradox abandoned you one again and you continued your line of curses about his entire family in your head as you trudged back to the jet to call a team of plumbers to get you home as well as begin repairs to the jet that was damaged in the fight.
Kevin followed you closely to try and see if there was any way he could repair it just enough to get you back to Bellwood. Ben was about to enter as well when he was stopped by his cousin, who seemed sheepish enough that he immediately knew what the conversation was going to be about.
"I owe you an apology, Ben. I'm sorry for not trusting your judgment and for thinking the worst of you and (Y/N). You both make a cute couple."
He nodded, "It's okay, I didn't exactly have faith in my own relationship when I immediately concluded that they had broken up."
"I'm sure the conversation we had this morning didn't help either, don't feel too bad about it."
He nodded once again and they dissolved back into silence before she gave him a teasing smile, "So, a son, huh?"
His cheeks went warm, and he gave her a look mixed with both embarrassment and a little bit of pride, scratching the back of his neck with a meek chuckle, "Yeah, I always pictured myself as a girl dad though."
Her grin went even wider, and she laughed, "I thought you said you were too young to think about things like this?!"
***
*Exactly Twenty Years Later*
Ben peeked his head into the nursery to greet his beautiful son that was most likely asleep after being fed and changed, only to find the room empty and crib missing.
His mind knew that if his son wasn't in his crib then he would obviously be in the arms of his mother and yet, as he sped to your shared bedroom, he felt a slight panic thrum through his veins.
Everyone had brought this to his attention time and time again; that he had become extremely high-strung when it came to his family. Especially since you had gotten pregnant. It was only when his son was on the way did he realize just how fragile everything was and how quickly it could be ripped away from him.
He passed his arm over the sensor at your door, it immediately recognizing the signal from his Omnitrix and unlocking the door before entering, finding you settled on your bed, Kenny clutched close to your heart.
You watched him cross the bedroom in long strides and settle on the mattress beside you, saying nothing about the clear distress that you had seen on his face when the door opened before it was flooded with relief. You understood; you had felt the same way, which is why you had rolled your son's crib into your bedroom so you could keep a close eye on him for the rest of the night.
You turned your gaze back to the baby in your arms, gently tracing his features with the tip of your pinkie finger, watching with a deep fondness and adoration as Kenny's little face would scrunch up every time you caressed his button nose.
"He's okay, right?" Your husband questioned, needing your reassurance for the last bit of worry for his son to evaporate.
"You think I'd be sitting here without a care in the world if he wasn't?" You murmured, not lifting your eyes from his precious face.
Ben chuckled at this, "Yeah, like that time he got the hiccups, and you couldn't sleep the entire night because you kept checking on him in four-minute intervals?"
"What if his little diaphragm got fatigued?" You mumbled; brows furrowed at the thought. Constant hiccups were painful to deal with as an adult, you could only imagine how painful it would be for a baby who didn’t know what the pain was or how to communicate his pain to his parents.
Ben didn’t respond, already having been through this conversation with you the very night it happened.
The two of you continued to watch your son in silence, finding every single little breath he took interesting as you continued to graze your finger over his skin, now tracing the outline of his little lips, the bottom lip tucked tightly into his mouth as he slept.
Ben shifted closer to you, taking the two of you in his arms and pressing a kiss to the side of your head as one of his arms came to support yours and bear the weight of your son as well.
"I'm sorry for saying that you didn't care about Kenny and only the mission. I know you worry about him more than you express, and I appreciate everything you do for the both of us."
"You were just lashing out of worry." You replied, leaning against him, "It was the first time we both left our home without him, even though we didn't technically leave him alone for a second. I felt uneasy about it as well."
"Regardless, I shouldn't have said that you didn't care, Kenny and I know you love us."
"I do."
You quietened down immediately when your son took a big breath, slightly stirring before he fell back asleep, the littlest smile on his little face.

You both sleep side by side in the bed.
You’re both on your back, and you’re staring rather intently at the ceiling, while Hal’s staring at you.
You don’t really know what to say to him. You don’t even know where to start. Every time you think about whatever he did, you get uncontrollably upset at him all over again. Half of you wants to roll over and sling a violent string of curse words at him. And half of you just wants to move on.
You continue to glare at the ceiling, letting your anger simmer inside as your eyebrows thread together.
You catch a flash of green from the corner of your eye, and then splayed across the wall is an image of a mighty lion, it opens it’s mouth to roar, or yawn you can’t really tell. Almost instantly you feel yourself relax a bit.
The next image is a bouquet of your favorite flower. It stands proud, swaying on from an unseen breeze. You unconsciously smile, your lips curving up and your eyes squinting slightly.
The final image, isn’t a picture. It’s two words, and they make whatever anger that’s been boiling inside of you dissipate.
I’m sorry
You turn your head to the right, taking in his tired eyes, bright eyes peering into your face, and then into your eyes.
“I really am sorry,” he murmurs, his voice breaking the heavy blanket of silence. Your hand crawls over his own, your thumb brushing against the back of his hand.
“It’s okay, I’m sorry too.” His lips curl into a sweet smile. It’s a smile full of relief, you can almost feel him deflate as he sighs. He holds out his arms, and you almost immediately curl into his side.
“I love you, so much.” He mumbles in your hair, holding you tight against him.
“I know.”

hal jordan | hello neighbor
A/N Hello guys and welcome to my first reader insert ever! :D I had so much fun writing this and I really hope you like it. I really adore Hal and feel like he doesn’t get appreciated enough, so I decided to start out with him and will probably even make a second part to this, because I had really fun writing this. (: Hope you enjoy!
 (Y/N) - Your name (L/N) - Last Name (H/C) - Hair color (E/C) - Eye color
______
A week passed since you became a part of the famous Justice League. Batman made an agreement with you to move to Coast City, because there was a higher crime rate than in your small hometown, but also because you were inexperienced in fighting. In order to make sure you wouldn’t get yourself killed in your first weeks on duty, he decided to give Green Lantern the responsibility to watch over you and help you to cope with your recently achieved role as hero. Your new apartment was even right next to his and the Green Gladiator offered to help to move your stuff into your new home.
It was a fresh autumn morning when the cab parked in front of your new home. Red and orange leaves were gracing the street, only the gateway was spared. You stepped outside of the cab, while the cabdriver helped you to unload your stuff out of the car and drove off afterwards.
“Well, hello neighbor!”
You turned around to find a man - a quite attractive man. He had brown hair and stunning brown eyes. His clothes were quiet casual, including a white T-Shirt, blue Jeans and a brown bomber jacket with a Tag reading “JORDAN” sticking on his chest. You concluded that this must be the Emerald Crusader, because you had totally no clue who else he should be. “So, I assume you are…” You started your sentence, but were immediately interrupted by the man. “Green Lantern, at your service! You may call me Hal. Hal Jordan.” “My name is (Y/N). (Y/N) (Y/L/N).” You answered while blushing slightly and moving a displaced (h/c) hair streak out of your face. “Well, I am glad I’ll be able to spend time with a beautiful lady like you. Do you need a helping hand?” He offered while pointing at your belongings. Your blush deepened and you started shifting your weight from one foot to another. “Thank you, some help would be really nice.”, you answered and gave him a small smile. He grabbed your suitcases while you took the bags. “Thought you’d actually use the ring for that.” You stated jokingly. “Believe it or not babe, I can do many things, not matter with or without my ring.” He answered cockily and winked back at you. Once again your face heated up as you followed Hal upstairs.
He opened the door to your apartment. Your (e/c) orbs scanned the living room, which seemed big enough for more than one person to live in. Hal explained that, thanks to a good friend of Batman, there was already furniture in the apartment and you wouldn’t even have to pay rent for the first three months until you would find a job. “By the way, where do you actually work?” You asked out of sheer curiosity, but it also was a prevention of an awkward silence. “Well, when I am not busy protecting the universe I am working at Ferris Air Force as a test pilot.” He stated proudly. “Sounds really cool. ” You smiled at him. “You know, when we’re finished here I could take you for a flight. Afterwards we could hit some clubs, but if you’re not a party girl a quite dinner at some nice restaurant would also do. But first things first, I’ll unpack your stuff for ya.”
Hal grabbed your suitcases with your clothes and took them to which you assumed was the bedroom and started unzipping them. You began to panic and dropped your bags, running after him into the room. “Hal, you really don’t have to do this, besides I have my own way of sorting my clothes don’t take this personally, but you don’t seem like the type of guy who folds clothes.” You rambled behind him. He however stated that you probably have already folded them and they only needed to be put into the closet. Your face turned bright red once again as Hal opened one of the suitcases, against all your protests, and started to chuckle.
Before you got your powers you were already a big admirer of the Justice League and superheroes over all. Obviously, like every other fan girl you possessed some merchandise of your favorite heroes including a lot of t-shirts. And your favorite Green Lantern T-Shirt had to be on top of your other clothes.
“Do Green Lantern panties come along with?” He asked while holding back his laughter. “Wh-What?! No?” You shrieked while turning away from him. To your misfortune Hal got an idea and was all of a sudden behind you. Unexpectedly, you saw green light in the corner of your eye and immediately turned around only to face Hal, now with his Green Lantern uniform on, including the mask.
He laid his arm around your shoulder and placed his mouth beside your ear cooing “You know, you should have told me you are such a big fan. I am always up to fulfill a lady’s dream, especially for someone as sweet as you.” You couldn’t form words with your mouth as your breath hitched and body started sweating. How couldn’t you be totally agitated, your idol was standing right in front of you, flirting huskily into your ear, while sending goosebumps all over your body. The tight bodysuit cladding his well-build body didn’t help as every feature of his muscles were outlined. The teasing was real!
Your brain cells were fizzing out as your body continued heating up. There was no way you would allow to be referred as the fan girl on the team, so you  had to quickly come up with a plan in order to restore your coolness. “Woah, I thought your powers come from willpower, not arrogance. ” You said while freeing yourself from his grip. “Besides, we can’t just ‘hit some clubs’ with you in that attire.” Good job (Y/N)!
Hal pouted for a moment while transforming back, but soon enough had his cocky smirk back on the lips. “So, that means you’ll actually go on a date with me?” He asked with a teasing undertone. You sighed while nodding. “Yes, if you want to call it like this, than we have a date. Now, let me just sort my tableware into the cupboard.” As you headed to the kitchen the Lantern fist pumped and unknowingly to you continued sorting your clothes into your dresser.
Meanwhile, you placed the dishes into the cupboard, when you suddenly heard Hal’s laughter and started blushing madly as he exclaimed “You actually do have Green Lantern Panties!”

Imagine Sleeping with Hal Jordan
Tumblr media
- Before the two of you decide to get some sleep (on the chance you actually get to bed at the same time) you already know how it’s going to be
- Literally the definition of Octopus
- You can move over to your side of the bed as much as you want. But you will still 99.9 % of the the time up end wrapped between his legs and shoved into his muscled chest
- Great for the cold nights and you’ve learned to handle it on the hot ones
- “Hal…honey…you’re crushing me a bit..” “Mhmm? Oh ugh sorry babe I’ll loosen up”
- And of course let’s not even pretend that your closeness doesn’t lead to other things, either dead in the night or early in the morning… *wink wonk*
- Seriously it’s no surprise to wake up to neck kisses and his hands in fun places. Although he never takes things further without permission
- On the nights that he comes home late from missions you tend to sleep with a body pillow for comfort.
-But Hal’s actually gotten quite good at slipping it out of your hold and replacing it with himself without waking you so much
- Also best believe that despite the two of you cuddled together, Hal’s still ready to jump into action and protect you

Anon requested: Writing prompt “ green lantern tshirt”
I had to do this one real quick
Tumblr media
“What is that?”
Hal had just gotten home after being in space for three months. He’d expected to find you on the couch watching TV in what you called a “comfy pile” - usually your laptop, a blanket or two from the bed and/or bed wearing one of his shirts and his sweatpants, if you were home from work.
What Hal didn’t expect was to find you in your comfy pile, wearing a Green Lantern t-shirt.
You laughed as you got up. You spun in a circle, modeling the shirt that hugged your figure. The design was based off of his uniform. “Like it? Barry saw them in Central City and brought some over.” You pointed to the coffee table, where a stack of shirts lay.
“There’s a crop top based off of what Guy wears in there.”
“Show me.”
Bonus:
“Why is there a baby onesie in here?”
“That’s something you’d have to ask Barry, sweetie.”

Hal Jordan: Room Service
Request: Don’t know if you write for this character(if you don’t you could just ignore and write it w/ someone else) but I’d like to request an imagine w/ Hal Jordan where reader has a mad crush on him and vice versa so Barry (or Oliver) try setting them up.
A/N: I apologise that it’s so late
>>>>—————————>
As a member of the Justice League you believed crushes were borderline illegal, I mean with Batman as one of your main leaders it seemed appropriate to accept. So when you were acquainted with Hal Jordan thanks to ‘best friend’ Oliver Queen, you didn’t find the growing feelings for the Green Lantern very reassuring.
Time passed and the dreaded connection grew strong albeit unwillingly, Hal was overjoyed with the development although found your closeness with Green Arrow mildly disconcerting as rumours floated around that you’d dated - are dating??? Who knew? Batman probably did but refused to comment on the personal lives of Teammates regardless of how much pestering Hal managed. Barry on the other hand had found the ordeal painfully humorous and confronted his partner based on his behaviour ASAP. The Hal Jordan, charming womaniser, had actually fallen for you in more ways that one and it was obvious to every member but your oblivious self. Sure there were odd encounters that you couldn’t avoid, like when Barry bailed due to obligations in Central City leaving you both alone together. Like when Oliver suggested to send you two undercover as a team on missions. Hopeless.
.
Either way, you were currently booked up in a 4 star Las Vegas hotel pacing the stretch of emasculate glass that lined your suite and offered a beautiful late evening skyline view. A resonating knock brought you back to reality, your mind lingering on how bringing down a Mafia Boss with a gambling problem would play out.
“No thank you!” You echoed, alas the knocking persisted so with a huff, you strode to the door finding none other than Hal Jordan.
“Ah - uh, hey (Y/n) so my room is just next door but can I come in?” The brunette ran a hand through his hair and offered that charming sheepish smile.
Obviously you couldn’t refuse but rolled your eyes as a display of your protest before stepping aside. The Lantern brushed past you with a “Thanks beautiful.” before taking seat on the couch, menu in hand and phone ringing to reception. You gave a cocked brow, silently asking for an explanation.
“Oh right, Olly blocked service to my room and since you’re his favourite person, of course you get anything on him so…” Hal was partly embarrassed and somewhat hesitant to bring up your relationship with Olly as he trailed off. The fact acted as a reminder to keep his feelings private, despite how his heart ached for you.
“So… you’re ordering dinner to my room on Oliver’s payroll, how considerate of you Hal.” It was an attempt to encourage a conversation on your part.
Hal directed his gaze to the floor with a smile before being abruptly interrupted by the receptionist on the other line. “Hi yeah, could I have the BBQ ribs meal and uh do you want anything?”
“Well, a (f/m) would be nice I guess. Y'know only if you’re okay with that or whatever.” The urgency of the mission reentered your mind yet on the other hand you truly valued one on one time spent with him.
“A (f/m)… and a bottle of your cheapest wine please - two glasses.” He was smirking, if you didn’t know any better you would say he was enjoying the inconvenience of the situation and Oliver’s precautions.
“Seriously? You wanna throw some chocolate covered strawberries in there too, add to the romantic setting.” You responded sarcastically, shaking your head and turning back to the window with a laugh.
“And some chocolate covered strawberries, thanks.” At his smug words, you briskly turned around to be met with a playful smirk as he put down the phone that elicited a hopeless sigh from your lips.
“You’re such a bad influence.”
.
The next 20 minutes was spent filled with playful banter and a recap on the missions premises.
“If I knew Green Arrow was going to do this, I would’ve stayed with you from the beginning.”
“Easy for you to say, Olly isn’t going to be interrogating you.” Was your comeback, the higher bill being an anomaly in your usual behaviour.
“Because you’re having dinner with someone else… or???” Hal refused to meet your gaze as he spoke, his body language lead you to believe that Jordan thought your relationship with Oliver Queen extended beyond friendship.
“Huh, no why would that bother him - it’s not like we’re dating, he offered to pay for me and I’m here drinking wine.” You explained further, completely missing the flash of pure happiness fly across Hal’s features at the confirmation.
“Hey, it’s the cheapest one. I’m paying for it.”
“Y'know the 'cheapest’ stuff here is $60 a bottle right.” You countered, raising your brow meanwhile your partner choked on his drink and at that point you couldn’t hold in your laughter and assured him you were joking.
Just then your phone illuminated with Oliver’s image being displayed, Hal stood up knowing it was mission related before you’d even answered.
“(Y/n) our targets on the move, grab Hal and let’s go. I’ll send you the coordinates.”
With that he hung up and you’d updated Hal as you rushed him out of your room so could change which would approximately take 5 minutes.
With everything prepared, you slid open your window ready to set off before a glowing emerald light almost startled you into falling back into your room. Your grip was tight on the window ledge as you glared at a sheepish Green Lantern hovering before you.
“Hey, want a lift?”
“Can’t you just glow me up or whatever you do?”
“And waste the rings energy? No way, besides I don’t mind if you don’t.” Hesitantly, you nodded thus allowing the Lantern to lift you into his arms - your grip tightening around his neck.
“I promise I won’t let you fall (Y/n), except for me obviously. Speaking of, how would you feel about grabbing dinner again when we’re back home?” His flirty attitude was appealing but you also found that getting him flustered was a cute sight too.
“Ooh like a celebratory meal for completing the mission? Sounds nice, we’ll have to ask Olly and Barry if they’d be up for it.”
“Uh right yeah, totally… wait no I meant like -”
“I know, I’d love to Hal.”
.
In the midst of awaiting your arrival, Oliver proudly updated Barry on the progress of their secret side mission.
“Your plan worked Barry, I’ll hand it to you.”
“Knew it, Hal just needed an excuse to man up. No room service worked like a charm but you think it’ll be enough?” Despite the initial glee, their past failures reminded Barry to remain indifferent due to your obliviousness.
“If not, we always have Plan E - at least I think that’s what setup plan we’re on now…”

love in laughter
Pairings: Hal Jordan x Female! Reader
Summary: Hal’s happiness can come in just hearing his child laughing.
Warnings: None
A/N: I’m on mobile now so all the formatting is everywhere and I’ll fix it as soon as I’m on laptop. I love getting back to writing :’) even though my exams are coming up :’( anddd this will be another series HAH why am I doing this to myself
next
He heard before he saw. The giggles of his child floated into his consciousness like water running from a closed tap. Slowly yet surely; reeling him away from the sirens of sleep.
Eyes opening, he sat up in bed. The other side of the bed empty as he expected. He glanced around the room to find it still dark, despite the sunlight peeking through the gaps between the curtains. He hummed in thought, a small smile tugging at his lips.
Throwing his legs on the floor, he made his way out of the room. It didn’t take him long to find the perpetrator of his awakening as she continued to laugh freely. And his heart melted. His child, with eyes wide with so much wonder for the world, was clapping for her mother.
They both stood by the window. Sunlight bathing the two mimicking a halo. He continued to watch as his beautiful wife blow raspberries onto your child. After every raspberry, she would laugh and clap. And you would join in her laughter.
“Well, aren’t you selfish to keep her all to yourself?”
You swiveled, eyebrows raising and surprise written all over your face before it morphed into a smirk, “And what makes you think she would want you over me?”
At that moment - of course, she was gleeful to see her father who she hardly saw for the whole week - she called for Hal. And that prompted for Hal to strut to the both of you with pride adorning his face. You sent a betrayed look to your daughter before rolling your eyes at Hal.
He easily picked her from your arms. She caressed Hal’s cheeks with a smile. And a giggle when Hal kissed her good morning.
You placed a hand on Hal’s cheeks and directed his lips to yours. Eyebrows furrowing and eyes in search of answers, “Aren’t you tired?”
“Nothing I couldn’t handle. You know me.”
“And I know you well enough to know that you were reckless,” you sighed. “My dear, you have been away on a mission for a week. Go rest.”
Sorrow tinged Hal’s voice, “And miss out on more time to spend with our daughter? I hardly see her anymore with my work, JL and the Green Lantern Corps on my back. I can’t -”
A hand slapped Hal on his cheek. He winced and glanced at his child. “Hey, I’m talking.”
She babbled, showing her toothless gums and hands patting his cheeks. Hal’s eyes turned to slits in mock anger but she merely screamed in retaliation. A grin followed soon after. Another high pitched shout.
You laughed as you watched the two compete in who can be louder. You rub Hal’s arms in comfort before slinking off to the kitchen. Breakfast in mind.
Hal called out to you. You glanced behind you and watched as he walked towards you with all the confidence oozing from his pores. Images of him in his younger days, clad in his brown jacket, flashed to the forefront of your mind.
“I love you,” he whispered, forehead resting on yours.
Grinning, you murmured, “You’re so cheesy Jordan.”
“And you love me for it.” He connected his lips to yours in a passionate kiss, leaving you breathless. Giggles interrupted you two from continuing. “I swear, she’ll be the death of me. And a major cockblock.”
You snorted before returning your task in mind.
“Pancakes please Mrs. Jordan!”
