Take Me Back To Eden
you radiate a warmth that loki craves, it reminds him of Asgard when he was young, before he thought of it as a place of unjust bias resulting in the anguish of their people. Since the day he saw this father for who he is loki only craved the familiarity and comfort of what felt like home to him. it had always seemed just out of reach, as if the world around him needed him to feel cold and alone, ironic considering his lineage.
The day he met you he could've sworn the universe was just putting him in his place, just another desire just out of reach, something he convinced himself would solve all his problems, or at least help him relax once in a while. You seemed almost ethereal, Moreso than even the god was prepared for. No one on the compound had told him they'd be getting a new teammate or that said teammate would give off an almost hypnotic aura.
Loki knew he needed you the second he laid eyes on you, it took him days to come up with a plan that he thought would succeed, he placed you on a metaphorical pedestal, convinced himself that even his best schemes couldn't trick you into spending time with him no matter the context.
Loki almost idolized you, he'd do things with the justification that you would want him to or that you would approve of his actions, most of the actions using those justifications were selfcare themed proving himself kind of right and definitely not wrong (his favorite type of right)
he'd gotten into the habit of going off into his own world while in meetings and especially while outside sunbathing, you were always the center of his fantasies, although innocent in nature they were still very distracting. in fact they were so distracting that he didn't notice you standing over him with a smile on your face until you kneeled down next to him  where you poke his sides to get his attention. his eyes snap open the second you touch him, a moment ago he had thought your scent was just his overactive imagination.
the panic set in almost immediately, none of this was how he'd imagined the two of you would talk for the first time, he had always thought one day he would finally walk up to you after a mission, or maybe save you from imminent death, making him your saviour but here you sat with an eyebrow raised in curiosity.
"hey?" your greeting sounded more like a question than you had meant it to but you'd also expected loki to cause chaos at every chance
"h-hi" the only thoughts running through his mind was how perfect you were up close, he wanted to lean into you and never let you go but he refrained from doing so. you could read him like a book, his every though projected from behind his eyes, his body language screaming that he just wanted to fall into your arms and never leave.
"you're so much more docile than I expected" your head was tilted and your tone curious. Loki's paused for a moment, thinking over his most recent actions and how they'd been sub par for his standards. he hadn't thought he'd let you distract him that much but he hadn't gone through his usual weekly list of pissing people off with minor inconveniences and moving furniture an inch to the left. his methods have gone soft but he tells himself its just efficiency.
"i guess i have been more docile recently, you're right to have expected more of me." his gaze drops to the grass below you, the last thing he wanted was to disappoint you.
"n-no, its not that I expected more of you, I've just heard rumors, none of them exactly pleasant. i think its a good thing that you haven't been wreaking havoc. it makes you seem a little more approachable. " your smile softened and your brows furrowed.
"they don't speak to you much do they" you intended it to be a question but it was really more of an observation. loki just shook his head, he'd always been a loner, always craved recognition and reassurance, always just wanted to have someone to lean on and he seemed to have accidentally chosen you. he really didn't mean to but you just had this atmosphere surrounding you.
you placed your hand under his chin, gently pulling up so that he'd look you in the eyes, you felt the need to make him truly understand your intentions.
"they don't deserve a glimpse inside your mind, frankly neither do i but id like to change that if you'd let me" if it was the placement of your hand or the tone of your voice he wasn't sure but you had left him breathless, he nodded in response to you, not trusting his voice or even knowing what to say. all he knew was that he needed you, that he'd run to you any time he had the chance, his mind raced with possibilities, plans for long walks, places you might enjoy, he suddenly wanted to know everything about you, your favorite foods, if you had allergies, your favourite color. he needed to know it all, he wanted to crawl inside your mind and aimlessly walk till his legs give out.
you decided you would join him in the grass, sitting just out of the sun under a tree while he continued laying in the direct sunlight, he turned onto his side to face you, not ever wanting to miss a glimpse of you. even in the shade you seemed to be glowing, it was a nice warm glow that reminded him of an oil lamp or a camp fire on a summers night.
the sun had started setting, you and loki had fallen into a comfortable conversation that jumped from topic to topic, he would hang on your every word and you returned the interest. it seemed the two of you really were polar opposites, although you'd both spent much of your lives searching for something to even you out, for him that meant sunbathing for hours a day and for you that meant long walks on winter nights.
loki had kept in the back of his mind that you two might be able to even each other out more so than your current solutions, he didn't want to push his luck though, he had just gotten to talk to you today and he didn't want to push you to far or scare you off, although he did hope that you had the same thought process as him.
of course you had, it was what initially made you want to go to him, you'd heard rumors of him being cold, both physically and metaphorically. you'd always felt like you burned to bright for your own good, like at at any moment you'd combust and be left with nothing but ashes.
you'd always felt like Icarus, flying to close to the sun but not sure you could resist even if you wanted to. it had popped into your mind at some point while you and loki spoke that he could keep your wings from melting in the hot sun, although it would run the risk of the cold shattering the wax that kept you afloat. it felt like you had known him all your life, as if he was there from the start.
you thought to yourself that maybe both of your lives would have been better if you had known each other from the start, that maybe if you had been Asgardian or if he had been thrown to Midgard at a different time maybe together you would've been  able to avoid the growing pains of life. maybe you would've been able to save his mother or avoid some alien invasions, maybe you could've saved him before he fell and maybe he could've held you before the collapse.
the chill in the air and the darkness surrounding you is what snapped you out of your train of thought, you'd both spent so long talking that your voices were hoarse and the sun had long gone down, the moon cast a blue sheen on Loki's skin making the green of his  clothes stand out  just that little bit more. the reflection in his eyes drew your attention, he seemed less at peace under the moonlight, almost as if nights in the past had left him sleepless and numb.
in reality it wasn't the night that was at fault but instead the endless expanse of space and the creatures that occupied it, particularly the ones that dedicated their lives to hunting him down and making him suffer, the sun helped him forget about the darkness that followed him across galaxies. you crawled towards him sitting back on your heels, you rested you hand on his back softly as to not startle him. the look on his face told you everything you needed to know.
"you know you don't have to run alone right?" your words were far softer than either of you had expected, the implication that you'd follow him across worlds hung heavy in the air, although he did understand where you were coming from. in the short time you'd been speaking to one another you'd become closer friends than loki had ever had.
he nodded in response before hesitantly responding "I know, but its safer if I'm alone.. less people get hurt when I'm alone" his word stung you in a way you didn't quite understand. you knew he didn't want to be alone and that he meant it towards everyone and not just you but you felt the need to prove him wrong which would prove to be a difficult task.
after a short pause you decided on actively asking him questions that would force him to second guess his train of thought and re-evaluate what his options actually are.
"is there really no where you could go that would be safe? even just for a little while? what about Asgard?" your spitfire questions almost threw his off, he'd never had someone try to problem solve with him because most people just wanted him gone.
"I mean, technically Asgard would be fine for a while... i never really thought about going back home. there really isn't anything there for me other than potential safety and inevitably the past." that answer felt almost to easy. the only real downside would be the lack of purpose. at least if he stayed here he would have something to fight for even if it wasn't something he was passionate about it was still a reason to get out of bed every morning. he also realized at the thought of leaving he felt an almost dread, not because he'd miss the things he has or the general area but because he'd found a new friend that he really didn't want to get to the point of missing. he didn't want to miss you.
"if you go to Asgard are you going alone?" you didn't want to outright ask if you could go with him but you were really hoping he'd let you, if nothing  else it would be nice to see a new planet. he could've sworn that his heart fluttered, maybe he could have the best of both worlds.
"would you be willing to go with me?" a smirk creeped its way onto his face and with that you knew you'd finally get to see the chaos loki could bring, a trickster back in the places he learned how to trick people would be a recipe for fun, for him at least.
A/N- i will be making a part two fairly soonish, also i apologize if this seemed all over the place, it was written in the late hours of the night across several weeks and I'm not great at reading over things before i post them, maybe some day I'll learn ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
PS. this was 2k words, v proud of myself

dark places - kylo ren x reader
A/N- trying to get back into writing, sorry for the disappearance, also there's literally no dialogue in this, and I didn't even reread this, sorry if it doesn't make sense i wrote this at 4am
hurt/comfort, kylos sad
word count: 810
Pacing back and forth he ignored you calling his name, he always did when he was like this, so stressed that he wouldn't process the things around him, but he had an entire empire to worry about, he had to keep an eye on rebels, uprisings, any form of defiance that didn't come from you was a threat to everything he had worked for, and all of it for you no matter how many times you told him you didn't need the best of the best to be happy he'd never listen, and eventually he'd work himself into an early grave if he didn't learn how to take breaks and relax soon, which is where you come in.
Eventually you got fed up with just calling his name and waving a hand in front of him, he was to far off in his own world, almost as if he was in another dimension entirely. You approach him head on, placing a hand on his chest to get him to stop pacing. He raised his line of sight to meet your eyes, he seemed half present now which was an improvement but still not the goal, he seemed almost lost as he breathing continued on erratically.
He seemed to slowly be coming back to you as you led him over to the couch, having to put pressure on his should to get him to sit, his leg immediately started bouncing. Had you been anyone else he would be showing his stress using anger instead. If there had been any one else in the room when you came running to him they would've been pinned to the ceiling, forcefully quieted. in his eyes no one was good enough to speak in your presence, not even him. You were his empress even if it wasn't your official title, he had plans to insure that it would be, but first he had to secure the empire as a whole. He couldn't just let you represent a failing empire, it had to be good enough for his empress and he was determined to have it ready soon but he kept facing set back after setback. All he wanted was to show you that he could be useful.
He felt like a disappointment, he had failed you, and watching you take care of him felt wrong, if you had known how badly he messed up you'd leave him, he knew you would and he felt terrible for letting you comfort him, he felt like a fraud, in the time it took him to degrade himself and shrink back into his mind you had prepared some tea for him, the kind his mother used to make. It brought tears to his eyes, knowing that you loved him unconditionally and took the time to remember the off handed comments he'd made once upon a time about tea with his mother, sometimes he felt as if you knew him better than he knew himself, you'd sworn up and down that you didn't have any force abilities but he never completely believed you because it felt to him as if you had run through his memories and planted yourself in his dreams.
Your hand on his back brought him back to reality, your touch so gentle he questioned if it was there in the first place. He took the drink you had made him, the warmth in his hands helping to keep him out of his mind. After taking a drink from his cup he set it down and leaned into you with all his body weight causing the two of you to fall back on the couch with him trying to curl into your chest and hide in your neck, he placed his hands on your hips, firm but not painful, he felt as if you'd evaporate if he let go, luckily you had caught on and carded your fingers through his hair, eventually adding small braids once he'd fallen asleep.
You figured he'd take them out before work the next morning but he didn't, he wanted to carry a reminder of you at all times and what better than a piece of him that you had somehow made beautiful in his eyes. Soon enough it became a ritual, every night when he got home from burning worlds and reminding the resistance that they didn't stand a chance he'd sit down on the floor in front of your spot on the couch and you take out the previous days braids and replace them with new ones, often adding small charms and every night he would eventually fall asleep with your hands in his hair just for you to wake him up and lead him to bed where he'd curl against you once again until his coms would go off, demanding he get dressed and go deal with whatever pressing matter presented itself.

FMNSHHDHS that jotun loki one shot,, my heart 💗💗❤️🤍💜💚💜💖💗🧡
can i request a part 2? one where readers gever is gone and they’re all better. during their last days of being sick loki requested they’d keep their eyes closed while he shifted in his jotun form, and everytime they said they love him, so when they’re better loki gets the courage to open up to them about his heritage and backstory etc. just a bomb of fluff abt loki telling his beloved abt his jotun form. and reader is just so fascinated by the beautiful god in front of them :33
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
id also like to apologize for taking so long, its just been hard to find time to sit down and write but I'm looking forward to future asks :)
part 1|
word count: 1.8k
no warnings
it had been five days sense your fever reached its all time high and every night sense then Loki had gotten you to close your eyes so he could keep your temperature down, it'd been pretty much fine for two days now but Loki wanted to be entirely sure the fever was gone.
you'd decided that tonight was going to be different, there would be no closing eyes, no hiding and you were determined to get him to do it willingly. you didn't want to promise him that you closed your eyes just to go back on that promise. you knew he was fragile and that doing something like that would ruin what you have.
so you sat him down after making supper, and you told him what you wanted. you explained to him that you didn't want him to feel like he had to hide, especially from you. he hesitantly agreed and it was clear that he was worried about what you would think, no matter how long you spent trying to reassure him, he wouldn't listen because you hadn't seen the monster he deemed himself. you understood that there was only so much you could do before he showed you but you knew that either way you'd find him absolutely stunning because he would always be your Loki. you just wished he'd see himself that way.
you'd agreed to close your eyes while he shifts as long as he'd let you open them again. the two of you headed back to your room so Loki would be at least a little more comfortable even though he was terrified about the situation he'd got himself stuck in. within his concern for your wellbeing he managed to forget what a curious being you are.
he knew that if you reacted badly to him he'd have no one but himself to blame, he'd been a fool to think he could turn what he is into anything good or useful.
he was now regretting not thinking this through, his heart was racing as you pulled him into your shared room. he felt so exposed knowing that in a few moments your opinion of him would change drastically, that minutes from now you would leave him because of what he is.
you could feel his hand tremble in yours, you knew he was scared but you'd never seen him this worried before, not when he woke up from nightmares or when him and Thor were fighting or even when him and Tony started all out brawls.
him showing this much fear of himself made you wonder who said something to him and what it was they said. even with how scared he was to show you, you knew it would be okay because he was Loki and you loved him with your entire being, you loved everything that made him who he is including the things he feared or hated about himself.
once you convinced him to sit still you hopped into his lap so you'd be at eye level with him. he was trying to hide the lost puppy look in his eyes but was drastically failing. it hurt you to see him this afraid of who he is but you trusted it would work itself out in the next few hours.
you placed your hand on his cheek brushing your thumb against the scars and freckles he had once been self conscious of, reminding yourself that if you can get him to love what he saw as flaws then you can probably get him to at least tolerate his other form.
"you know no matter what I'll always love you, right?" your words came out in a whisper, your voice hoarse from the emotions swirling around you.
Loki nodded "and I, you my love" his magic projected itself when he was scared, you could see the green glitter-like flecks in the air, falling like snow. he was still shaking but he seemed less hesitant which was encouraging.
Loki leaned forward resting his forehead against yours and closing his eyes. he pressed his lips to yours in search of comfort. you kissed him back and ran your hand from his cheek down to his neck, rubbing soft circles into his skin.
pulling away you both open your eyes, his filling with tears. he nodded at you, closing your eyes you snuggled closer to him. you could feel the ridges rising under your finger tips, the temperature of his skin dropping with every breath. after placing a gentle kiss against his chilled neck you leaned back on his lap with you eyes closed.
"may I open my eyes?" you raised on of your hands to his cheek where you wiped a tear.
"its not to late to go back, w-we don't have to do this... but if you're entirely sure and you cant be convinced to not do this then it seems i have no choice" his breath shaking throughout. he'd never been so conflicted about something before and he was absolutely terrified of making the wrong choice.
"if you really don't want me to see you I wont look but this has to change at some point. I'm not willing to go the rest of my life without seeing my loves truest form" you didn't want to feel like you were forcing him and you didn't want him to feel forced.
"I wont do anything if you're not ready, Loki. I want this to be your choice, not just mine. I need you to want me to see you" you could feel his glitter landing on your skin along with the raw power radiating from him. his magic was mixing with both of your tears at this point. neither of you wanted to make the wrong move or force the other into something that would leave them uncomfortable. after pausing for a few moments Loki had calmed down and decided to speak
"okay." he whispered, sounding more confidant in his head than he did out loud
"what?" you were still making sure your eyes were closed and you weren't expecting him to make that decision. you were honestly expecting him to tell you to get up and give him some time to himself.
"yes, you can open your eyes. there's no point in putting this off and hiding wont help anything" is what he said. what he meant is that its better for him to be rejected now for who he is than it would be later when you've taken over his every thought, even though that isn't far off from now. he'd rather rip off the band aid now than wait for it to rot from the inside out until it destroys him.
you nod gently, mainly to yourself seeing his reasoning. you eyes flutter open, pupils blown wide as you take in his form. the ridges you had been feeling glowed a pale white, almost like scars. they created a pattern that seemed to flow throughout his body. his skin sparkled with the green glitter that was still falling around you.
your gaze moved from his neck to his face and from his face to his hair, his hair seemed to be the only thing he kept across all forms and genders. small horn rested just below his hair line, they looked smooth and before you knew it your hand was reaching out to touch them, Loki almost stopped you before you could touch them but he stopped himself, letting you explore his body.
his horns were just as smooth as they looked, while running your finger tips along them you noticed Loki started to relax, his breaths were getting longer and deeper, his muscles were no longer tensed and he seemed to lean into your touch.
"a-are they sensitive?" it took him a moment to come back to reality and process that you asked him a question and what it was
"hmm?" he seemed so out of it but still relaxed "o-oh, yeah they kinda are, I thought you'd be to freaked out by them to ever touch them though" your brows creased at him, it truly puzzled you that he couldn't see his own beauty, he looked ethereal. his skin looked like ice crystals in the way it reflected light, he was glowing and when the light hit just right his skin danced with rainbows.
"freaked out?" you lightly chuckled "no honey, you define perfection. i could spend the rest of my life tracing these lines and admiring your horns. you glow in the light and cast no shadows in the dark, I can officially say that there is nothing about you I don't love and that I'm more obsessed with you than I've ever been"
after hearing your tangent he decided you were his forever, you'd be the home he comes back to, you'd be his safe place and his queen, with you by his side he knew he could do anything. he also knew you'd always be there to pick him up, that you'd never tire of him. he just couldn't put it into words.
he lurched forward, pressing his lips to yours and holding you to him by your neck. when you reacted your hands moved to his neck and horns by themselves, Loki noticed you seemed to really like them and for that matter him in this form.
pulling away he rests his forehead against yours, your thumb brushing over his horns again. Loki drops his head to your shoulder, nuzzling into your neck. the main source of light had changed over the last few moments. neither of you had realised how late it was getting. Loki yawned against you, seeming to know your thought process. you kissed his head and leaned back from him.
"we should go to bed honey, you've had a long day." you kept you voice as soft as you could, hoping to not startle him at all. he pulled you back to him with his eyes still closed and stood up, carrying you to bed. he flopped down on the bed and started shifting back into his Asgardian form. he felt your eyes bore into him so he opened his eyes. you looked a mix of confused and unhappy. he raised his eyebrow at you.
"cant I have my ice cube?" your soft voice warmed his heart, within the next breath he was blue again. he loved everything about you and it took this level of fear and reassurance for him to realize. when you spoke again it startled him.
"can you stay this way? even if its just when were alone?" he nodded and pulled you closer to him.
"yes my love, if it means I can sleep" his half hearted attitude made you smile and all of the days stress melted away.
"yay"

Can you do a Loki x reader where he takes care of her after a foot surgery? Just had my Achilles heel repaired and could use some fluff.
I can try my best, I hope you're healing well :)
also sorry this took me so long, i meant to finish it a while ago but got busy
this feels boring and i feel like i couldve done a better job but i have no clue how i would do that
word count: 450
warnings: none that I can think of, none of the healing process is descriptive
it had been about 24 hours since you woke up from your surgery, Loki hadn't let you get up even once. he insisted on carrying you everywhere and wouldn't let you use your crutches. he’d been over protective to the point that the rest of the team either left or are hiding on separate floors, Loki hadn't done anything wrong but the look he gave everyone whenever they talked to you was enough to scare them off.
he had made sure you were drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of food and snacks. he had also brought you pillows and blankets to make a nice cozy spot on your bed in which he joined you. you'd decided on binging a few shows while you healed.
about a season and a half in you and Loki had entirely stopped paying attention and started talking about anything and everything, from him growing up on Asgard to what to have for supper. eventually you had started talking about the more emotional side of things.
you'd asked him plenty of personal and emotional questions today but he wasn't expecting you to ask him about why he chose you of all people. he deemed it a fair question considering your lack of immortality.
you'd been shocked when he went on a half hour long rant about how much you meant to him. he talked about how safe you made him feel, how comfortable he was with you and only you, and how obsessed with you he'd been since day one. he had tears in his eyes throughout his rant. once he was done talking you'd tried to comfort him but he wouldn't let you and instead somehow twisted the situation so that he could take care of you.
you migrated to the kitchen where Loki sat you down on the island so he could make some of his childhood favorites for you. after you ate he looked over the doctors instructions, walked through his personal check list at least five times and double checked that you were in no way shape or form uncomfortable in any way.
after some convincing you finally managed to get him to lay down with you to go to sleep, you knew he'd be awake all night watching over you to make sure you didn't wake up in pain throughout the night. but at least you had each other to hold and distract one another, Loki would spend the rest of his life awake and watching over you in your arms if you'd let him.

thiiissssss
so loki was basically a loner because he was the only weirdo* in his social sphere. like surely there were other asgardian weirdos but hanging with them probably wouldn’t have been all too accessible as he, yknow, was royalty.
now i’m wondering what loki would be like if he had his own asgardian equivalent of a emonerd high school clique. what if he had more people who 1) saw him for who he was* and 2) valued and vibed with it? dare i say the events of the first thor movie wouldn’t have happened? like, surely he’d still have the insecurity, but would it have been quite as gnarly?

Can You Feel My Heart
Loki x reader hurt/comfort
word count:2.2k
warnings: gore, bunch of hurt not a lot of comfort. reader is bleeding out
A/N: so I could make a part 2 of this if anyone is interested
Loki looked over the faces of the corpses, he recognized most of the team laying lifeless in the dust, he didn't see anyone breathing and his heart was racing, he couldn't hear any heartbeats other than his own and no one was moving. tears started coming to his eyes and the first thing he thought of was Steve Rogers. Steve had gotten hurt on a previous mission and wasn't permitted to go on this one, his shield had been severely damaged in an explosion on said mission and tony had planned to start fixing it when he got back. upon thinking of Steve, Loki was teleported to him.
it hadn't been intentional but it was what his subconscious had deemed necessary given the situation. “Loki!” Steve exclaimed, shocked at the puff of green smoke and the six foot god that popped into existence less than five feet away. “C-Captain they need you, I don't know how many are still alive but I don't think its many” Loki huffed out on the verge of tears
“woah, Loki slow down what do you mean you don't think there's many still alive, what happened” Steve was already feeling the anger rise, the one mission they send Loki on and there's casualties. “there was an explosion and I didn't see anyone breathing and I didn't know who to go to and I guess I came here but they need you, I don't know what to do” Loki rushed out in one breath.
Steve had never seen Loki in such obvious distress, he reached for his broken shield deciding that half of one was better than none. every moment of silence was a moment of Steve quietly cursing Loki, it was just now hitting Steve that Bucky had been on this mission. his Bucky had been on this mission and if Loki had been right then there was a fairly high chance that he’d never see his best friend again, this could be the end of the line.
Steve grit his teeth “is there any way you could teleport me to them” Loki was shaking like a leaf, he shook his head “I cant go back, its all my fault” Steve felt as if his teeth would shatter if he clenched his jaw any tighter “No, just me. you're staying here and if you knew what's good for you you'd lock yourself back in that cell”
Loki nodded, putting his hand on the captains shoulder he thought of the battle field, all the corpses and then Steve was out of sight in a puff of green smoke. Loki took a deep breath, still shaking he started walking to his room. he’d been told all his life that in times of need he should just stay out of the way, that he could only do harm and this experience so far had only solidified that.
once he got to his room he grabbed a backpack and started filling it with supplies, he’d entirely forgot about his seidr. his body was on auto pilot, he ended up with basically a first aid kit, a couple changes of clothes and several daggers along with some food, he deemed that good enough for now, worst case scenario he’d sneak back to the compound for more supplies, though he couldn't see that happening.
he knew he couldn't stay, even if everyone was fine and nothing bad happened he knew that this was his fault, that it was his plan that went haywire and that if they'd just taken someone else or had left him back at the compound no one would've gotten hurt. he really couldn't see a way in which everyone walks out alive.
slinging the bag over his shoulder he walks throughout the tower, getting ready to leave and hopefully never come back. he walks past Tony’s bar, grabbing Thor’s stash of Asgardian liquor. he also grabs one of Tony’s burner phones just in case he needs to contact anyone, he almost laughs at himself for thinking he’d contact any of these people if they lived and even if he did contact them he doubted they'd care.
standing up straight again, he walked to the exit. the air seemed dense and corroded. everything felt as if a film of grey dust had settled on it, Loki wasn't sure whether it was just an internal refection he was projecting or if a fog coated everything. he picked a direction and started walking, everything seemed too quiet for New York, there was yet another unknown to him, this place, this gods forsaken place. he deemed that nothing good happened on this stupid planet.
Loki almost felt like he was pacing even though this walk should be like any other, this wasn't even the first time he ran away, he had done this countless times on Asgard when Odin got to much to handle or Frigga couldn't consul him in just the right way. this is a feeling he should be used to by now, but something felt off, it might've been because this was his first time being on his own on Midgard but even then something just felt really off.
Loki felt hopeless, he felt at fault for all that had happened. was he over reacting? probably. and he knew that, he had done this enough times that he could hear his mothers voice telling him that running wouldn't help. it wouldn't fix anything but at the vary least it would give him space to breathe.
while passing a building he didn't care to learn the name of, he heard music, it seemed pleasant enough so he took a few steps back and walked through the door. following the sound he walked into the establishment, his vision panning across the room, there's tables, bottles and the sort everywhere. he noticed a blood trail leading to the corner of the bar where a jukebox sat quietly playing the song that drew him to the doorway to begin with. on the floor just below the jukebox there seemed to be someone bleeding out and barely awake.
his heart raced, he felt the need to help, he couldn't help the others but maybe he could help this one. hopefully he had come in time and their injuries wouldn't be to bad. maybe he could make a friend.
with that in mind he walked to them gently picking up their head to look them in the eyes, they closed their eyes while sighing. “No no no, I need you to stay awake okay? you look like you're bleeding pretty badly so I need you to not go to sleep right now” he rushed out trying to keep them from nodding off. he knelt next to them, trying to get a better angle to help them from. after everything that had happened today he felt the need to do a little bit of good, just to get one thing right.
they opened their eyes again to see him putting pressure on their wounds. they could barely feel him, everything felt fuzzy, they almost felt drunk but they hadn't even opened the bottle of vodka sitting at their side. “I'm not sure what you can do for me, this feels kind of feels like one of those last moments people tell you about” he looked back at them, shocked at how nonchalant they were about something that could've been their last words.
Loki shook his head at what you were saying “I'm Loki, I'm gonna try to help and I'm gonna try my hardest, but I need you to help me, I don't have enough hands to do this by myself” you nodded at him in understanding “I don't think I'm quite ready to die” you chuckled but stopped to wheeze, the small laugh left a weight on your chest, it was getting harder to breathe but you convinced yourself it would be okay. it anything you had heard about Loki was true then you'd be perfectly okay. “and I know who you are, I have a tv” you laughed out.
“you know who I am?” you nodded in response. Loki put more pressure on your wound “norns, what did this to you?” you smiled through the pain, the pressure Loki was putting on you must've been doing something because you could feel pain again “I don't think you'd believe me if I told you”
“try me” he challenges while trying to stop the bleeding, the blood seems to never end “the star-spangled man himself.” you state. he swallows thickly, nodding “the captain seems to have gone a little haywire” you nod, still finding it hard to speak. your stomach feels cold and you see a small green light flickering from Loki’s hands, the light is dim and inconsistent.
Loki remembered that he should keep you awake so he started asking questions. “so how did you get the captain to harm you to this severity, I've seen him do less to hydra agents”
“I didn't do anything actually, he was just walking by and then he ran up to me and stabbed me with the shield. he looked pissed.” guilt flashed behind Loki's eyes. he nodded, cleared his throat and got back to work on keeping you alive.
“I’ve heard a lot about you, ya know” you tell him as he seems to double his efforts to stop the bleeding, it doesn't seem to be working very well. “what do you know about me then” you smiled at his playful tone, seeing straight through it, seeing that he's very quickly realizing he's going to fail in keeping you alive. “I’ve heard about your mom, your brother and how you and him had bonded over being clueless about todays mannerisms... I think you blamed yourself for a lot of the things you couldn't control.”
he looked you in the eyes for the first time sense he laid his hands on you “you know more of me then I thought possible, little mortal” you felt dizzy again and you were going numb, you knew time was ticking and you weren't sure if you should let Loki continue, you knew that every second he worked to keep you alive was another second his hopes would be up. you'd heard of the pain and suffering he’d been through and you knew Loki would be looking for anything to save, anything to prove himself worth the air he breathes, you knew there was only so much time before Loki would go back to hating himself because he couldn't prevent yet another death, yours.
you wheezed out his name, he lifted his head once again to look at you “I think its time for you to give up, its not getting any better and you're wasting materials on a corpse moments before it dies.” tears came to his eyes at hearing your words “I'd rather waste materials and know I tried then give up now when you could live” tears were streaming down his face, he was determined to save you, doomed to fail or not, he needed this, it was clear as day, he needed to help someone, he needed someone to prove to him that he was needed, he had lost everything and even though you had just met he was latching onto you, you were the last thing he needed to save, and this time he would succeed
you put your hand on his shoulder gently tugging him to sit beside you, you leaned on him, resting your head against him, you wiped a few of his tears. “its not your fault you couldn't save me.” Loki wrapped his arms around you, dragging you onto his lap. he berried his face in your shoulder and cried, he cried for his brother, his mother, the father he didn't have and he cried for you, because your corpse would be yet another example of his failures.
you nuzzled into him feeling almost as if you were floating “talk to me, I don't care what its about. rant if you have to” you took a small breath, you felt the blood slowly filling your lungs “please, Loki” he feels how shaky you are, how little time you have left “anything?” he asks softly “anything as long as you’re talking I don't care what it’s about” you both paused, neither really wanting to ask anything until you speak up “why did you help me” he took a second to think of how to phrase it. he gave up trying and decided to just say what came to mind.
“every time I try to help, I fuck it up and someone dies” he states, pulling you closer “I was already dying when you found me” you stop, coughing up blood “nothing could save me and you know it” you feel your blood soaking both your shirt and his, you didn't think humans had this much blood.
the edges of your vision start fading and with the last of your breath you whimper “I forgive you Loki, you need to forgive yourself”. your vision fades and the last thing you hear is Loki’s sobs.

Always Come Back
word count: 1k
warning: mention of violence, reader is really anxious for the first bit
A/N: so I have a kinda dark one shot(?) that's almost done and I know I'm gonna post it but should i also write some fluff to post right after it to counteract the hurt/comfort (not a lot of comfort)?
also I apologize for not posting for a bit and for taking so long with asks. I took a break from energy drinks because they weren't hitting as hard as I needed them to and I discovered that they just so happen to be the only thing that keeps my thoughts coherent. I had one today which is why I'm writing but I'm gonna wait another four days before I have my next one.
you had been out on a mission for several weeks and it had been your worst mission yet. you'd gotten hurt time and time again, nothing major but it was enough that all you wanted to do was go home to Loki, take a hot shower and just relax. you were hoping Loki wouldn't be to mad at you for leaving with such little notice. forget the fact that you had to leave half way through a date. part of the mission required you to leave your phone back home so you had absolutely no contact with Loki.
you were leaning forward with your elbows resting on your knees, nervously bouncing your leg. the team learned the hard way to just leave you alone when you looked this nervous. it wasn't the first time on this mission that you'd been this stressed, the biggest difference this time is that you were on the your way home and that your attitude towards the rest of the team is only going to get worse the closer to Loki you are, and once you get to him no one will be interrupting you for at least 24 hours while you either use him as a pillow or the two of you get into a major fight over you being an avenger.
your mind was racing with everything that could go wrong as you pulled up the driveway. taking a deep breath you get out of the car and walk the rest of the way up the driveway of the safe house stark gave the two of you after discover the walls were just a little to think for his taste. it was a nice cabin, embedded entirely in the woods. perfect place for Loki to kill you if he was mad enough.
walking through the unlocked door you noticed Loki standing by your line of shoes, stark must've given him the gps tracker for the jet you took on the mission. he looked pissed. he walked towards you and pulled you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you and burying his face in your shoulder.
it took you a second to react but eventually you put your arms around him, one going around his shoulders and the other going to his hair where you found one of the braids from the night before you left. you were used to him leaving the braids you did for him in for a few days but three weeks? especially considering the braid was only made to last the night of your date.
it was a safe assumption that he wasn't mad at you. you moved to pull away but he just held you closer and whimpered. he'd felt so lost without you, been so fearful of your return and what state you'd be in, terrified that you may not return at all.
by now you had been aching all over for about a week and would give pretty much anything to sit anywhere that wasn't solid metal. so after standing by the door, still in your suit and combat boots mind you, for quite some time you decided to try to get Loki to let you go so you could change.
"I need to go change and then we can cuddle and watch a movie if you'd like"
he held you tighter and a whiny "no" left his lips. you were afraid this would happen, him being clingy wouldn't be a problem if you weren't covered in blood, bruises and countless wounds, nothing severe but enough to make standing here uncomfortable.
"I'm not going anywhere love, I just need to change and check a few wounds, gotta make sure nothing get infected"
his shoulders slumped forward in defeat and he slowly pulled away "can I come with you?" his voice was shocking soft and his tone sounded almost scared.
you nodded, taking his hand and leading him to the bathroom where he demanded to double check every stitch no matter how much you promised it was fine. eventually you got back to the living room where you laid down on the couch assuming Loki would take the seat under your feet.
you assumed wrong.
Loki laid down directly on top of you with his head on your chest. your hands went to his hair and you began taking the braids out of his hair. by the time you were done combing your fingers through his hair you were both finally relaxed, after three weeks of being apart you could finally be back home, in each others arms. Loki shocked you by speaking first.
"why do you have to go on missions, haven't you done more than your share for stark. why cant we just stay out here forever." your heart dropped when you heard his tone, he didn't sound angry or frustrated. just broken and scared, up until today you had no idea how your missions were affecting him.
"I-I don't have to lo, if you want I can look into retiring, then we can stay here. is that what you want, honey?" Loki gripped you closer and nodded.
"please... no more leaving"
"no more leaving, lo"
he took a deep breath after you confirmed you wouldn't be leaving again. he hadn't realized till this mission just how scared he was every time you walked out the door. he didn't necessarily want you to retire but he need you to not go on missions anymore.
after some time of just laying together you asked why he didn't want you to leave and he mumbled something you didn't even think of.
"what if you don't come back, need you to come back to me"
you hadn't considered how he would feel about the risks of you job, you just assumed he was okay with it because he acted fine after your first few missions, but the first few had been short, less than 24 hours.
"I'll always come back, love"

eeeep i love that clingy loki oneshot! it’s so sweet :))
can i request reader having a fever that isn’t going down, so as a last resort to make his lover feel better loki changes into his jotun form for the first time in front of reader. reader relaxes immediately at loki’s cool touch. they mumble an “i love you” in a tired voice and it makes loki feel so relieved
Thank you so much! this is an amazing idea

you had a fever. of course you had to get sick now, just before some major missions and some of Tony’s parties, which you sadly had to opt out of. Loki had been trying to get your fever down for about 24 hours now, Bruce was on a mission and Loki didn't trust the doctors on the compound so the two of you just stayed on the floor stark had dedicated to not angering Loki or stressing him out (mainly for the sake of keeping the compound standing).
Loki, being the anxious person he is, was kind of freaking out now. it was unusual for you to be this sick for this long, you’d been sick for about a week but before today you’d managed to keep your fever down. he’d been shifting to his Jotun form every night for a few hours once he knew you were asleep and then changing back before he himself went to sleep.
you had constant hot flashes and body aches, nothing you took was helping today. it was fine for the past few days but something about today was just not going well and both you and Loki were tired of dealing with sickness.
Loki had been partially debating using his Jotun form to cool you down in hopes you could both sleep but he was still terrified of you judging him, he knows that’s not who you are as a person but the fear still stands.
Loki climbed into bed with you, handing you a bottles of water and some Advil in a last ditch attempt to help your ever before he decides to shift into his Jotun form. After waiting about an hour and not seeing any improvement Loki sighs.
“could you come here, my love?” you find the softness of his tone shocking, he sounds almost defeated. you sniffled yet again and shook your head.
“its to hot lo, I cant” Loki, letting his head hang forward, sighed. he really didn't want to do this but he couldn't let you suffer.
“please, just for a moment. I need you” Loki knew exactly how to get to you, he knew the puppy eyes killed you and that with that tone you could never say no to him.
you paused but crawled over to him. he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you over him to make sure you were touching as much of him as possible.
“I need you to close your eyes for me, love. I know its an unusual request but just for now... please?” you pressed a kiss to his shoulder and nodded, closing your eyes.
he slowly started shifting, making sure to keep himself from giving you frost bite but as he did that he felt you finally relax against him, you'd been so tense and tired for so long that Loki felt like he could breathe again, knowing you finally found relief. After some time had passed he spoke again.
“you need to sleep darling” he kissed the top of your head when you snuggled closer to him, he took that as you agreeing. after your breath had slowed and he was sure you were asleep you shocked him by mumbling out a few words.
“I love you Loki” just a couple syllables, but what you'd said had been earth shattering to him. your words were slurred and he didn't think you were really awake but hearing you say those words was all the reassurance he needed.
“I love you too”

could you write abt loki wanting cuddles and kisses from reader? just some clingy loki before bed
I absolutely can
I'm sorry its a little short but I tried
word count: 463
warnings: none
it was date night and Loki's turn to pick the activity. he'd been clingy all day and you'd guessed that he'd pick a movie, which he of course did. you'd agreed on The Nightmare Before Christmas, it had been Loki's favorite since you introduced it to him mid November.
you'd decided on watching the movie in Starks personal theater, there was this one spot that Loki loved because he could lay on you but still see the tv and in usual Loki fashion once he had his hands on you, you were just stuck with him. if you got up, he got up, if you needed the bathroom he'd get up and stand just outside the door so he could wrap his arms around you the second he could.
he, himself wasn't sure why he needed you so much today but the second you stepped away he'd panic, he'd tried to just deal with it the night before but after about six hours of paranoia he gave up and crawled into your bed. you'd woken up with his arms around you and gone pretty much all day in the same type of situation, luckily it was a situation you loved.
once the two of you laid down and gotten comfy he'd started peppering kisses along your neck, yo knew he wasn't trying to seduce you with these kisses but that he just needed to feel you, he needed the reassurance that you were real and here and that you loved him.
you gently moved his head away from your neck so you could talk to him, he had that lost puppy look in his eyes. “what’s wrong pretty boy?” he just whined in response so you let him put his head back on your chest. usually when he’s this clingy its after a nightmare or something but this has been all day and it was kind of concerning.
after a while of you rubbing his back and playing with his hair he finally spoke. “can I have a kiss?” somehow he always manages to melt your heart. in stead of speaking you just kissed him, soft, sweet and slow. he’d never been so sure in his life that you could fix everything, even if the world was crashing down and he felt like he was suffocating, you were always his safe haven.
the two of you separated after the credits started and let whatever was next play. you’d agreed to just sleep where you were that night, deciding it wasn’t worth the effort to convince Loki to let you go for long enough to get to your room.
the two of you fell asleep clinging to one another as if your lives depended on it, and to the two of you it did.

I was wondering if you could write a loki x reader where they stole his sweater for warmth and he sees them with it on? Just wondering, of course
I'm willing to write most things within reason, and I'm more than happy to write what people want to read :)
word count: 838
no warnings
it was getting late and the heat was still out, you’d think with stark having a seemingly unending supply of money he’d have connections with repair companies but apparently not. the rest of the team were on missions and you were stuck with babysitting duty. you and Loki didn't mind each other but it was cold and you were cranky. your joints always got achy when it was cold and it was absolutely freezing on the compound, your body just felt uncomfy and no matter how many blankets or pairs of socks or sweaters you got you just couldn't get warm.
Loki of course was perfectly fine being a frost giant and all, in fact he didn't even notice the heat was out, he just assumed you had turned it down some out pf curtesy. he had no clue how humans reacted to extreme temperatures but he assumed it was similar to the way he reacted to the heatwave you'd had last summer when starks AC went out.
you had been stealing sweaters from the team left and right sense they left, its not like they could use them and plus you always found Bucky’s sweaters warmer for whatever reason. you assumed it had something to do with hydra freezing and unfreezing him.
earlier you had been going through the laundry and you’d found a green hoodie, it was the warmest one in the pile so you grabbed it, assuming it was one of Bucky’s. with this new found sweater you didn't have to layer several over one another, you’d have to ask Bucky where he got it.
you walked over to the couch Loki was sitting on and plopped down next to him, while you shivered and your teeth chattered you wondered if Loki had any temperature magic, specifically to warm you up. you already knew about him being able to freeze things so you decided to ask him.
“hey Loki” he hummed in response, keeping his focus on the book he was reading, because naturally he could focus just fine. you were jealous of his invulnerability to the cold and it kinda pissed you off.
“do you have anything that could help me stay warm?” you nervously giggled, you really hoped that he’d be able to help. if he couldn't you were scared you’d start getting frost bite soon.
“I mean I have this sweater that mi-” he looked over at you and stopped talking, you were really confused. “I see you've already found it” you raised an eyebrow at him.
“hmm?” you’d always known Loki was generally confusing and a being of mystery and chaos but this was just down right confusing. he looked back down at the now closed book in his hands and gently shook his head.
“the sweater, darling. its mine” he seemed to be trying to hide a smile. truthfully he loved seeing you in his clothes, he hadn't been very straight forward with his feelings for you but he didn't feel now was the time to tell you. he’d just enjoy the look of shock on your face, you truly were the cutest.
you hadn't even thought that it could be Loki’s hoodie. you felt stupid for not knowing it was Loki’s. I mean it was green and you'd already figured out that it was unusually warm for just a normal hoodie, although you did wonder why he had a magically warm sweater and not a magically cold sweater but those were questions for another time.
“I-if you'd like I can give it back, I didn't know it was yours and I wouldn't have taken  it if I did, I'm really sorr-” he crashed his lips into yours but you quickly found your bearings and kissed him back.
“Norns, you look breath taking in my sweater love” he was still out of breath when he spoke. he was smiling as well but it wasn't a smile you trusted, it was one of the smiles you usually see right before he does something mischievous.
he slipped his hands under your shirt and to your sides. his hands were shockingly warm, he never felt this warm but you melted at his touch. once he felt your muscles relax for the first time sense the heat went out he pulled you onto his lap. all of him was letting off heat.
you leaned forward burying your face in his neck, your nose had been cold for days now. Loki moved his hands to your back, never staying in one place to long and never letting to much of you get cold.
“does being warm not bother you?” the question had been at the forefront of your mind sense you felt his hands.
“I don't feel the heat I'm giving off, its one of the several benefits of being a master of magic” you nodded sleepily, slowly drifting off. just as you were falling asleep you felt warm lips press against your shoulder and you could've sworn you heard a faint “I love you”

More Sleepless Nights With Loki (drabble 2: electric boogaloo)
Loki cant sleep so he goes to you for help
a/n: this seems to be a repeating occurrence, however I still plan on writing more of Loki’s sleepless cuddly adventures, also this was written at 2am so you get to suffer though my thoughts with me :)
word count: 929
warnings: none, but as always if there's something I missed please let me know
sleep had evaded him once again, it’s the one thing he simply could not overwhelm. he could bring an army to another world and cause the beginning of the team of the worlds greatest hero's but he couldn’t just close his eyes and rest. the alarm clock next to him blinked 2:54am in Florissant red, this wasn't the first time this had happened and he suspected it wont be the last, he had yet to find a solution. this hadn't been an issue before he was forced to accept Midgard as his new home. he had cures for bad dreams, good dreams, weird dreams, or no dreams at all but he hadn't accounted for the possibility of not being able to get to sleep, it was the one thing he wasn't prepared for. he’d tried all of Midgard's remedies and none had even touched the wakefulness he’d felt at the most inopportune hours.
he wasn't alone in the house, one of the conditions of Loki moving out of stark tower was having a government approved roommate. when stark approached you about the job you hadn't hesitated, I mean he was paying you a pretty penny to live in a half decent apartment rent free and the only catch was that you had to live with an anti social god. Loki wasn't at all bad to live with, he cleaned up after himself, did the dishes if there were any to be done, he even got groceries when he was asked, over all a pretty good roommate.
you had seemed to develop a small crush on him over time, you hadn't been shocked but you wished you didn't have to live with him, especially when he was nice to you. it was unexpected that he’d been nice to you, if he was making food he’d make something for you, if he was stopping at a store he’d get you something, if you were going out with your friends for drinks he’d make you call him to pick you up to make sure you were safe.
you’d even notice him being protective of you, which only got worse once he saw how bad the men of Midgard could be, you explained that comments and cat calling were normal once you got home and he was entirely amazed and disgusted. he almost wanted to tell you about how he felt that night on the small chance you liked him too, that way he could protect you from all the foolish mortals of this realm.
so here he was, sitting on the edge of his bed, contemplating going to your room and waking you up, usually he could handle things on his own but the lack of sleep was really getting to him, he was constantly dizzy, had a headache and everything felt overwhelming. he’d tried everything and he had no clue where to go from here. he was fairly sure you wouldn't judge him but there was still the little voice in the back of his had telling him to just suffer alone, to just leave you alone because you needed your rest and he could just bother you in the morning over breakfast.
he knew that if he didn't go to you now then he wouldn't go to anyone ever because in the morning you were busy getting ready for work and you’d probably be running late as always, you wouldn’t have time for him and he’d never blame you for that. he shook his head and stood. walking to your door he hesitated, it was rare for him to do things he wasn't entirely sure of but this was something he needed.
he knocked on your and waited for the gentle groan he knew would come and then walked in, he approached your bed and kneeled next to the bed. he thought you looked stunning even now with your hair all over the place and a sleepy smile on your face to greet him
“I cant sleep” he surprised himself with how small and whiney he sounded. he reminded himself of his sleepless nights as a child before he learned magic, he always used to run to his mother who would then climb out of bed and follow him back to his room for the night as to not wake Odin.
“I see that” you giggle, you reach out to pet his hair and he leans into your touch which wasn't uncommon, you’d thought to yourself on several occasions that he must be touch starved “why cant you sleep?”
he just shrugged in response, he wasn't even entirely sure himself. he’d been giving you the puppy dog eyes, he wasn’t sure why or what he wanted other than you. you were pretty much the only thing he was sure of tonight.
“would cuddling help?” you ask quietly, you almost can’t believe you asked him but based on the look he was giving you that was what he really needed, once again he decided to forgo words in place of nodding.
he got up and moved to the other side of your bed, got under the covers and dragged you to him, he laid you on his chest and wrapped his arms around you. your weight on his chest made him feel like he could breathe again, he didn't think you would make that much of a difference to him but that was clearly disproved when the two of you fell asleep less then five minutes afterward, probably helped along by you playing with his hair and him rubbing your back.

Can I request Loki x stark reader where dad tony walks in on Loki and reader doing the dirty and tony gets really mad and almost fights Loki lol
I cant promise its good but I tried, either way thank you for the ask!
word count: 664
warnings: none, but let me know if I overlooked something
you giggled as you and Loki moved up your bed, the two of you had been dying to be alone together for several weeks now. Loki had been on a mission and then your dad had him go to a bunch of avengers meetings, you're both convinced that tony is at least suspicious of the two of you, which sounds like a really bad outcome for Loki. tony still held a grudge from when Loki threw him out a window.
when your shoulders hit the head board you stopped moving and Loki immediately grips your thighs, pulling you closer to him. he’d been saying for days now that he needed to taste you, to show you the other reason people said he had a silver tongue. after removing your skirt and underwear he began nipping and biting at your thighs, slowly moving higher and higher. just as he was about to lick exactly where you needed him most you heard a knock at your door.
you sent Loki to the door after covering yourself, not even thinking that it could be your father. Loki opened the door without bothering to put a shirt on, opening the door, he immediately realized he’d made a critical mistake, tony stark stood before him, already summoning the gloves to him ironman suit, he fired at Loki but Loki ducked sending the blast to the back wall of your bedroom.
you wrapped your blanket around you to cover yourself and you ran to the door, you tell Loki to go hide in the bathroom and take his place by the door, still trying to keep your dad out. “what do you need dad” you say, hoping to ignore that a mass murderer just opened your bedroom door.
“what do you mean what do I need, I need reindeer games back out here so I can send him back to whatever space jail is farthest from here, out of everyone you just had to choose the one whos actually responsible for his war crimes. you really couldn't have gone with cap? or even Bucky for that matter?” he tries to push past you but you block him.
“no dad, I couldn't, plus you're the one that let him stay here and you're not kicking him out now, what would Thor think if you kicked his brother out of the only place he can go for absolutely no reason” your logic in stressful situations always amazed him.
he sighed, knowing you're right he dropped his hands to his sides and sent the suit pieces back to their armor stand. “fine but I don't want any demi gods running around any time soon and if I hear anything I don't like then i get to throw him in the cell” you roll your eyes at him.
“if he goes in the cell then I go in the cell, if you're really that stressed about him acting out then go ask Doctor Banner and Clint about all the nice things Loki’s been doing recently, I asked him to make amends and he listened, as long as me and Loki are together he wont do anything that he knows would make me look bad, yes he's insane but he still has logic when it comes to things he cares about.” he just stood there amazed that you actually got a god to listen to you and that he was trying to mend relationships with people he was trying to kill not even a year ago
he nodded in understanding “I think I raised you to be to smart, try not to let the supervillain rub off on you to much” he smiled and ruffled your hair, turned around and walked off. he decided to get after you about chores later and just let you enjoy your time with your boyfriend for now. however he was still planning several ways to embarrass you about it later, maybe he’ll tell Thor about the two of you.

confessions under the stars drabble #1
Loki x reader
Loki has a nightmare and you help make the world feel less overwhelming, just fluff
let me know if you see any mistakes, this was written entirely in one go right before bed so I cant promise its good or makes any sense lol
word count: 908
Loki sat up suddenly, out of breath and panicked.  he had yet another nightmare, these things seemed to be plaguing him recently, no matter how trivial they were. looking at the time, Loki weighed his choices, he could sit here for the next few hours, struggling to sleep, tossing and turning. or he could go to you. he discovered that you had become his safe place. he didn't think he was quite ready for you to know just yet but he also knew that if he decided to wake you for comfort that you would without a doubt be there for him, he wasn't sure how you would comfort him but he knew you would always find a way to make him feel at least better enough to calm his heart.
he’d slowly gotten closer to you, and you to him. he’d planned your budding friendship out almost to a T but hadn't ever thought he would deem you his incarnation of home. 3am wasn't the time for such thoughts though, 3am was a time for waking you up and demanding (or so he convinced himself) your attention. leaving his room and tip toeing over to yours, which was on the same floor as his. he lightly knocks on your door, if anything it was to just give you a heads up that he was there, no lock would ever keep him out and he’d picked up on visions door forsaking habits.
in response to his knock you groaned loudly, you were never a morning person and waking you up would be a death wish for any mortal, luckily Loki is a god. he walked through your front door and down the hall to your bedroom, the door was cracked but he still felt the need to ask before entering a space he felt was off limits to him.
“may I come in?” his voice sounded softer than you had expected, he’d never woken you up before but you were so used to him being over confident and almost cocky.
“you know I'll never say no to a god in my bed, Loki” even freshly woken up you were still incredibly flirty with him.
opening your door he made his way over to your bed. you slept on the side farthest from the door leaving him plenty of space. he sat down on the edge of the bed, as far from you as possible, he didn't want to make you uncomfortable even though you had welcomed him in your own half hearted flirty way.
“I-I was... unsure if I should wake you but I do recall you offering your assistance with my resting troubles if I ever needed them” he stuttered, so unsure of himself, he was clearly out of his comfort zone but you were glad you got to be the one he came to.
“as always your recollection is impeccable” you’d always enjoyed the way he spoke and often tried to either match him or make fun of him in some way shape or form, you figured now would be no different even though this was all new ground for the two of you.
you sat up quickly, grabbing him and laying back down, he was half laying on top of you with the both of you staring at the tiny plastic stars on your ceiling. Loki turned over to lay his head on your chest and after a few moments of comfortable silence and waiting for him to relax you finally spoke once more.
“do you wanna talk about it or do you just wanna stay here” your question didn't shock him but you knowing that he might just need to be held did, he knew you knew him well but he thought he had hid all of his reactions to your touch, he thought he had caught all the times he tried to lean into your touch or follow your hand when you went to pull away from playing with his hair, he really hoped he wasn't bring as obvious as he now thought himself to be.
“C-can you just hold me? the same way you did the other night on the couch?” his voice shook, he couldn't tell if it was nerves or the stress from the nightmare. maybe it was both but he knew that you holding him would at least make him feel normal again, although his normal is still not as calm as you'd like it to be.
“always” you ran your finger tips along his spine, he nuzzled into you more and you could've sworn you felt him grab onto you tighter. he never thought he’d ever have someone who would be able to comfort him again, but you just always seemed to know exactly what he needed.
Loki’s eyes fluttered closed after several minutes of him fighting it, he was barely awake when he left his room and your bed (with you in it) felt like heaven on earth, almost as if both you and the bed was built for him to sleep on. pressing your lips to the top of his head, you closed your eyes. you felt him take a deep breath, the two of you barely conscious.
“I love you” his words were spoken so softly you wouldn't have heard them if the wind picked up. you smiled holding him closer even if it hadn't seemed possible.   “I love you too Loki, I always have”

Nothing To Fear
so this is my first fic, I'm not sure if I'm going to keep writing but I have a couple more one shots and drabbles I'm working on. Please let me know if you have any tips or anything
"don’t you fear the monster?" "there's no such thing as monsters"
word count: 2.6k
trigger warnings: none I think but let me know if I missed anything
You and Loki are being forced to go to a cabin for the weekend for "team building". The two of you had been at each other's throats since you joined the team roughly six months ago, most recently your bickering had gotten a few of your teammates hurt, they were minor injuries but still enough for stark to finally snap and force the two of you to figure out what was going on and fix it.
Everyone was originally surprised when you had started complaining about Loki. Aside from New York no one had ever had a notably bad experience with him, he was a little standoffish and he could be rude but he was still a prince and acted as such. He had even been known for making tea for anyone he'd have to share a space with for any amount of time, anyone but you that is.
Your first day on the team  when the two of you were introduced, Loki decided it was best to stay away from you assuming you were an intern of sorts. However, once Stark finished his sentence, of which Loki had cut off to offer him and only him some tea, Loki had been shocked to hear that you would be joining the team. Loki had already decided that you looked weak to him and he really didn’t want to have to take care of you on missions.
The car ride to the cabin was quiet, you had called shotgun to not have to awkwardly sit in the back. Instead you had stuck Loki with that burden. Stark had decided to drive the two of you out there so he could take the car back with him to avoid you being able to escape each other, he really had thought of everything.
You got out of the car with your bag and walked up the steps of the cabin, walking in you see the living room with woody and bronze colors and a nice wall of bookshelves to your left. Loki walks in behind you grumbling about how unnecessary this is and how it's never going to work. You roll your eyes at him "would it kill you to stop complaining Loki"  "no but it might kill you”.
Loki closed and locked the door behind him in efforts to keep the snow and wind out, after Loki sat his bags on the ground by the door he got himself some tea and sat on the couch. he nodded for you to come over to talk so you did, sitting in the chair across from his you folded your arms and bowed your head as if to say “I'm listening” Loki looked up from his tea thoughtfully “listen, okay? I’d like us to both walk out of this alive and the only way i see that happening is if we’re both civil, we only have to stay here for 72 hours and id hope that after living at the compound together for the past six months that you can put this aside even if its just long enough to get through this”.
you thought over what he said deciding it was reasonable. “i will if you do Loki, you're the one that started this to begin with, besides if it doesn't work this time stark is just going to find farther places to send us for longer, he really wants us to get along” Loki sighed knowing you were right “i know he does...” you both paused for a moment. getting up you head over to the bookcases picking up one of your favorites deciding to kill some time.
you and Loki then spent several hours reading in silence apart from whatever show Loki had put on for background noise and the crackle of the fire place, the lights flickered and then went out.
Loki sighed clearly frustrated. he stood up and threw more wood on the fire.       “I guess we’re sleeping out here tonight then” Loki stood, staring at the fire. you closed your book, setting it on the coffee table you'd had your feet on moments ago. “I don't think we have a choice, I doubt the rooms would stay warm enough for us to sleep without dying of hypothermia” you respond almost grimly.
Loki smiles to himself, still facing the fire. he's admired you for a while now, yes he deems you weak but he finds it endearing. he thinks its cute that you struggle to open jars  or reach the top shelf, he loves how small you are.
realistically you weren't that small its just that everything is small compared to him and its not that you couldn't open jars but that it was an excuse to talk to the team, you also didn't ever need anything from the top shelf because you're the one that puts things away so there's close to nothing up there, let alone anything you'd actually need.
you had been admiring him for just as long, you hated how he distanced himself from everyone. and of course he had to do it in a way that nobody would notice unless they looked, because yes, he made people tea and yes he’d make small talk, make the team feel like they knew him, make them feel close with him but they didn't know him, they didn't know about his childhood or that he's a frost giant. in his eyes they knew nothing of him and that's how he wanted it.
you'd just wanted to care for him, he seemed so lost and you knew that beneath the tough exterior that he was just scared. of what? you hadn't the slightest idea but you wanted to comfort him, make him feel safe in the tower. you wanted him to feel safe with you but you knew you couldn't force it, you knew that if you tried he’d cut you off, that the only thing you could do was match his energy until he felt ready, if he ever felt ready.
what he didn't account for was you, of course there was no way he could've considering no one but stark knew you'd be joining the team, but he assumed he could just group you in with the others but after that first introduction he couldn't stop thinking about you, how you smiled at him as if he hadn't caused New York, as if he was just like the rest of the heroes. you looked at him as if he wasn't the monster he believed himself to be, you didn't pity him, or walk on eggshells around him, you treated him like a person.
for the life of him he just couldn't stop thinking about you, he wanted to open up to you, tell you all his deepest darkest secrets, he wanted to tell you stories of his childhood with Thor, he wanted to teach you all his favorite tricks and where to stab people to only harm them without killing them so you could join him in pranking the team.
but those were all the reasons he needed to keep you at an arms length, he knew there was no way you'd feel the same and even if you did he knew he’d only hurt you in the end, he knew there was no safe way for him to have friends or anything more significant. it was never that he didn't like you or that he didn't think you could handle yourself but that he loved you and didn't ever want you to get hurt.
he looked away from the fire, gently shaking his head. “I'm gonna go grab the blankets” you nodded as he walked away. he seemed a little of, maybe he's stressed, he probably has a mission or something coming up.
Loki walked down the hall into his room first, he pulled all of the blankets off the bed and went to the hall closet to grab some throw blankets before heading to your room to grab the blankets off of your bed, he paused as he saw your bag, grabbing it along with the rest of the blankets he heads back out to the living room where you sit by the fire.
“here” he hands you the bag and sets the blankets on the other side of you as to not set them on fire. “thank you” you mumble looking down, you hope this is a sign that he's finally going to open up, at least a little bit you think.
Loki walks over to the kitchen bringing back a kettle of water and some tea bags, he sits down next to you by the fire although he's a little farther away from it then he should be if he's trying to stay warm. “tea?” he asks you quietly “sure” you mumble looking outside. its dark out now, the sky seems clear but the wind is strong and its the coldest weather you've every experienced.
Loki nudges you to hand you your tea “thank you” you sit in silence for a while till finally you take a deep breath “Loki?” he stares continuously into the fire “yeah” he replies slowly, he seems relaxed, the most relaxed you've ever seen him, his shoulders droop, his neck isn't tense he seems genuinely calm.
“why don't you let anyone in?” Loki sighs dropping his head, he knew you'd ask something like this at some point, he still hadn't readied a response though.   “are you sure this is something you want to talk about” he asks raising his head to look at you “I wouldn't ask if I wasn't sure dumbass” he rolled his eyes at you, opening up regardless.
“I don't let them in because I'm me, I kill things and hurt people and cause space wars with aliens ” he paused taking a breath “everything I love dies because of me, everything I touch dies because of me... I'm a monster” you looked from your hands to his face, you'd never seen him cry before and before this moment you weren't sure if he was capable. he looked over at you, tears still streaming down his face “don't you fear the monster?”  he laughed dryly. you shook your head gently “there's no such thing as monsters”. he tilted his head, clearly confused as to what you mean. “what could you possibly mean by that, we fight monsters on a regular basis, you were there when I tried to take over Midgard, you've watched me kill people, how could monsters not exist while I'm here”
“Loki, none of what happened is your fault, nothing you did was of your own free will, I cant let you call yourself a monster knowing that. you regret doing those things which means even if it was of your own free will, you're changing as a person, just because you're the god of mischief doesn't mean you're bad”
Loki looked back down at his hands “even if you're right why would you care, I've been nothing but rude to you” you shook your head at him while trying not to cry “because I know that the face you put on for everyone is just an illusion, I know that you're suffering and i know that you think you're alone but you don't have to be, I don't want you to be” Loki nodded “you can really see through me that well, huh” you both chuckle “I guess I do” you both look at each other, you scoot closer to Loki, leaning your head on his shoulder and rubbing his back, he wrapped his arm around you, nuzzling into you.
“Loki?” you ask quietly, he hums in response. “is it that you want to be alone or are you just trying to protect everyone” he paused considering your question and trying to phrase his answer in a way that would make sense “no one really want to be alone, it might be useful for short bursts of time but I never really wanted to be alone, not when Thor and I were young and definitely not now” he moved to nuzzle into your neck, he was mostly laying on you but still sitting up for the most part.
Loki took a shaky breath “I-I think I love you” you paused for a moment, unsure of how to answer, you didn't know if you loved him or even if you knew him all that well but you'd liked him for so long and he seemed to be entirely genuine for the first time since you'd met him, you saw a future with him, you had waited this long for him to open up “I think I might love you too”
the temperature was really starting to drop now and you had moved away from the fire to be with Loki. you lightly shivered and Loki immediately shot up, he’d forgotten that it was cold for humans, that until the power comes back you're in danger, Loki grabbed the blankets and started making a sort of nest with some of them, leaving the rest to put over you.
“come here, lay by the fire before you start losing limbs” Loki says seriously “look at you being all caring” you shake your head at him while moving over to the fire and laying down, once you lay down you open your arms for him to come cuddle you, he hesitantly moves to you, laying his head on your chest while trying to avoid being that close to fire, fire had always been one of his worst fears but you needed it and he had to keep reminding himself of that.
you looked down at him while playing with his hair “you okay Lo? you should be closer to the fire then this, you're gonna freeze” of all the things stark had thought of and planned for he hadn't set up a backup generator or had decent insolation put in.
Loki almost laughed at the irony of what you'd said “no my love, I wont freeze I promise” you looked at him confused, you raised your eyebrow at him. he sat up slowly and looked at you, fear somewhere in his eyes but he was trying to cover it. “do you want to be in on a secret that no one but Thor and I know?” he asked you hesitantly.
you tilted your head confused “sure but I'm not sure how on topic this can be” he nods gently, trying to prepare himself in case you reject him entirely, he hopes you don’t, he takes a deep breath closing his eyes and taking down the illusion he’s put up for the world but keeping up the magic that lets him touch people without harming them.
you gasp quietly as his skin turns blue, ridges rising along his neck and arms. once he was entirely blue he opened his eyes and you reached out to touch his face, he leaned into you hand with a sigh of relief. “I thought you'd be afraid of me in this form, I truly am monstrous now aren't I?” he chuckles to himself
“Loki, you're beautiful” you took a deep breath, the air around him felt cold “you're absolutely stunning Lo” you looked into his eyes, you'd never seen such a beautiful shade of red. Loki stares back at you, smiling. genuinely smiling, he's just now realizing that you're the only one that could make him show genuine emotions, before now the only thing he's felt was fear and inadequacy but you make him feel safe and loved.
Loki leans forward kissing you gently, you reached your hand up to run along the ridges of his neck. Loki pulls back smiling like an idiot, he opens his eyes to gaze at you. “I really thought you'd either fear me or hate me, like everyone else.” you shook your head at him “No Loki, I have nothing to fear”
