The Husky And The White Cat Shizun With Their Baobei
Chapter 9
{sneak peek of upcoming chapters}

You watched from afar as Mo Ran shamelessly clasped Chu Wanning's wrist and quickly kissed him on the lips before he could react. Mo Ran’s robes were completely drenched in the mysterious spring water. He looks almost attractive and tempting, but those thoughts were interrupted by the reminder of his past actions.

That thought alone has you furious, having the intention to roughly pull Mo Ran off and give him a slap to clear his mind and extinguish your own fury.

Chu Wanning was firmly pressed under Mo Ran’s body, struggling to get him off. Just when things were to get further, your frustration reached its peak and roughly grabbed onto the back of Mo Ran’s robes, yanking him backward. Landing him straight into the spring water.

"You shameless bastard!" For the first time ever,
Your emotions exploded. Stunning both Chu Wanning and Mo Ran. You glared furiously at him.

Mo Ran stood there shocked, staring at you, before realizing what he had done. The one that he kissed wasn’t Shi Mei, but Chu Wanning. To make matters worse, you have seen his humiliating action.

—-
[current time line]

Absolute silence.

"…"Chu Wanning was speechless.

Xue Meng was stunned. "…"

"…" You were no different, shocked beyond words.

Before you even have time to react, Heaven's Inquisition, otherwise known as Tianwen, has returned to Chu Wanning’s palm, turning into specks of golden lights before disappearing.

Something wasn’t right. But you weren’t sure what exactly the issue was. You cursed at your trouble with memorization; it was decent before, but ever since you died for the first time, all of your memories are getting mixed up.

In your second past life, it was the first timeline since Mo Ran became Taxian-Jun. This also means that Rong Jiu and Chang Da’s plotting being successful was all part of the first timeline. Since it’s maybe the second timeline, all of this might be different.

You know better than to jump to conclusions. Your second past life is a lesson.

"Tianwen is broken. I'll go fix it."

With that, Chu Wanning left. deciding whether you should follow him or stay behind to assist with Mo Ran’s injuries.

"Shidi y/n, don’t even bother with this dog thing. He needs some time alone to think of how stupid he is." Xue Meng looked at Mo Ran’s pitiful state of guilt and embarrassment, huffed as if to say that Mo Ran deserved it, turning back toward you.

"He’s your shidi. Your constant complaints about increasing your affection level to avoid some unfortunate circumstances. You might as well just stay behind and help him." Seeing your hesitation, Xian'ye' voice appeared in your mind. Even if Xian'ye (your holy fan) wasn’t summoned, he’s still fully aware of the outside situation; after all, he’s counted as a holy weapon, at least according to himself.

Xian'ye suggestion wasn’t wrong; if it’s still the first timeline Mo Ran, this additional act of care might save your current crumbling relationship with him.

You reached out for the wound on Mo Ran’s face inflicted by the willow vine, planning to use some of your spiritual power to increase the healing process. You were not specialized in healing, unlike Shi Mei; however, you can at least do this. Unexpectedly, Mo Ran slapped away your reaching hand. It was awkward silence between you both until he finally said, "Shixiong y/n, I don’t want you to see me in such a pitiful state. Please leave."

It felt as if he was hiding something from you, but you respected his boundaries and didn’t say anything more. You could only assume that he was still angry at you for denying his request for intimacy. It’s already been a year; remind yourself that Mo Ran is still immature at this stage, so it wasn’t weird. You left.

By the next day, Mo Ran was brought to the Good and Evil Platform according to the rules. All the disciples of Sisheng Peak were there, including the lady who served the food. Therefore, as a member of Sisheng Peak and one of Mo Ran’s Shixiong, you also have to watch among the crowds of others. You watched as a group of disciples attempted to plead mercy for Mo Ran; one even went so far as to bring dual cultivation into this.

This scene was all events that happened in your second past life, so you didn’t even bother. In this life, whenever it was punishment done privately, you would plead for Chu Wanning to lessen the punishment.

The first few times you did that, Chu Wanning denied it, and you ended up facing punishment for even considering it. But the good thing about your punishment is that, after your share of punishment, Chu Wanning would lessen the punishment for Mo Ran.

None of those punishments that Chu Wanning ever gave you involved whipping. If anything, the worst was having to copy the writing of an entire book 60 times with a deadline. Your hands would always become sore and tired, but it’s better than getting your back whipped by Tianwen. You did develop some fast writing skills due to all of it.

But this time, it was different since it was public. If you were to plead mercy for Mo Ran, there is a chance it might fail, and you might get a punishment without doing any benefits. If Chu Wanning were to accept your plea, it would make Chu Wanning seem biased toward certain disciples, which would damage his reputation. And you couldn’t allow that to happen.

This never happened in your second past life, since in your second past life, Mo Ran was supposed to be escorted back to his dorm room after Madam Wang dispersed his cultivation as a punishment for committing such vile acts. The reason you didn’t do anything was because you didn’t find the need to; after all, it’s normal for the protagonists to suffer in order for them to get closer in the future. After Mo Ran from your second lifetime got his cultivation dispersed, it wasn’t needed for him to punish again since his first punishment was already harsh enough. Especially since Mo Ran has to go through the entire process of cultivating again, he has his own spiritual core, so it wasn’t that hard, but it still ended up taking awhile for him to regain his former spiritual energy.

The disciples that stood by Mo Ran’s side were no match for Tianwen; it didn’t take long for them to admit their lies. Getting their own share of punishments, with no benefit on Mo Ran’s side.

———

That night, you and Shi Mei treated Mo Ran’s injuries. Mo Ran seemed hesitant and uncomfortable with the thought of you applying the ointment, so Shi Mei ended up doing that while you did the bandaging.

You left after denying Shi Mei’s request of him to go back to the kitchen to prepare another bowl of wantons.

Mo Ran didn’t seem to enjoy your presence; therefore, it was best to leave for the time being.

[Extra:

You: "Is it normal for people to hold on to grudges that long?"
Xian'ye: "And who was the one who just stood there and watch as their shidi get numerous lashes for his punishments?"
You: "…"]

The Husky And The White Cat Shizun With Their Baobei
Chapter 8
You stood aside, watching as the same exact situation from past lives occurred.
You failed to prevent the Flower of Everlasting Hatred from entering Mo Ran's body. This time you didn't even lower your guards, but you still ended up failing; it was almost like rewatching tragedy happening again.
Mo Ran got caught sleeping with a male prostitute. As a result of his continuous interactions with Rong Jiu, who was a male prostitute from a brothel. You thought that you could prevent it, and you did everything you could. After you realized that the time between Shizun's seclusion and The Flower of Everlasting Hatred had already passed during your temporary coma for a week, you realized you were too late.
The immediate reaction to your temporary coma was you running toward the dorm room of Mo Ran, ignoring the concerned looks of the disciples passing by. It didn't matter that your body might have been weak after the temporary coma; after all, if Mo Ran truly blackens, it's all over for everyone.
Seeing that Mo Ran was alright, you can finally breathe a sigh of relief, but you made sure to always be there for Mo Ran. Even at times, when he would vent his frustrations about the unfairness of Shizun’s treatments to you while he laid his head on your shoulder or sometimes even on your lap, You would always try to defuse his hatred for Shizun by bringing up the good factors about Shizun's punishments and how they were all for his own good.
Sometimes you'll even allow him to hug you to sleep which was something you'd never done in your past life. After all, in your current life, you must do anything to increase your affection levels.
But of course, you'll still set up some boundaries, especially when things get a bit too intimate for your liking. Hugs and cuddles are alright, but when it comes to kisses on certain parts of your body or sometimes even his hands getting closer to your inner thigh, you simply feel uncomfortable therefore not allowing him to continue further.
Even if you do feel somewhat guilty after seeing his disappointed look, it reminds you of a puppy that just got kicked by their most trusted person. As much as you want to increase affection points, you don't have to go that far; you could just stay with the casual affectionate activities.
Maybe that's where things went wrong. Ever since a few times of your rejection of deep intimacy, your relationship with Mo Ran started to grow apart. He still greets you with courtesy; however, he wasn't as joyful, energetic, and playful around you as he used to be. While your relationship with Mo Ran started to fade, Mo Ran's relationship with Shi Mei started to grow closer.
Everything was going so well, until it was all ruined. You started to rethink your choices. If you and Mo Ran were to engage in what he wanted, maybe this wouldn't have happened. That was what your previous thoughts were, until you rejected them. Even if you and Mo Ran were to engage in such activities, who was to say that everything would still end up in the same way? And it would keep you up at night, knowing that you basically took advantage of your shidi at his lowest moment. You weren't sure if it still counted as taking advantage, especially when he was the one so desperate for it. You simply couldn't.
You knew things were going back to their original points, especially when you watched from afar, like the moments where Mo Ran would sneak out of Sisheng Peak in the middle of the night.
You did catch him at one point, and you did have the intention of telling Mo Ran to stop his visits. Before Shi Mei made an appearance interrupting your moment, asking you to assist him with tending the books.
"You shouldn't worry too much about him; after all, he's simply a kid; he needs his own freedom as well," Shi Mei attempted to reassure you.
By the time you turned back to look around, Mo Ran was already nowhere to be seen. Leaving you all alone with Shi Mei, and later on with you assisting Shi Mei by putting the books back in their rightful places. It was quite a lot for one person, so you couldn't really say that Shi Mei purposely did it to distract you from helping Mo Ran.
As days passed, you watched as Mo Ran continuously visited the brothel, to the point where you're starting to wonder if you could even stop the same ending from occurring. You could forcefully stop Mo Ran from visiting, but that may also greatly damage your current process with him. So you decided not to do anything. Gritting back your teeth, do the same as you always have done: sit back and not do anything.
Everything was going as it originally did. So you didn't even bother listening to Xue Meng and Chu Wanning's conversation with Mo Ran, who was currently kneeling on the ground with Tianwen wrapped tightly around his waist. Mo Ran was not even showing a single sense of guilt.
Until that one strange familiar sentence that Mo Ran said, catching both you, Xue Meng, and Shizun's attention: "Chu Wanning! You may be skilled, but watch me screw you to death later!"

The Husky And White Cat Shizun With Their Baobei
Chapter 7
As a Shizun, it was his duty to do the best for his disciples. He watched as four of his disciples grew up. He taught them all the skills needed in life, starting from common knowledge to simple writings to reading literature to poetry. He was simply trying to do his best, but he failed. Not only did he fail, he failed miserably. It was like rubbing salt on the wound as he tried to fix it. He wasn’t sure how to fix it.

It was his fault that Shi Mei died. As a Shizun, it was his responsibility to protect his disciples. It was just as simple as that, yet he failed to do something so simple. It was almost humiliating to even think about it. He watched as Mo Ran held onto the cold body of Shi Mei. He should have expected this. For Mo Ran to become Taxian-Jun. He later has to use his own life as a bargaining chip to keep both you and Xue Meng from the grasp of Taxian-Jun.

He was grateful to Kunlun Taxue Palace for accepting Xue Meng and you in when none of the sects were willing to take the two in. In the end, he watched you die in his own arms. He attempted to save you, but everything was going too fast; there wasn’t enough time.

He has failed as a Shizun.

——

Ever since that Chu Wanning incident with Huaizui, Chu Wanning’s spirit core has weakened, resulting in a cycle of every ten years. Chu Wanning will have to go into seclusion to repair it. You, as the reader, still remember some parts of it; after all, it was quite a major detail. It was pouring rain, with the sounds of thunder and lightning approaching at every corner.
Your past self stood inside the Red Lotus Pavilion. Close, yet you still kept some distance away from Shizun.

You know that he has already cast the Sound Concealing Spell; however, you still have to keep your dignity and respect as his disciple. It all went well until your past self found yourself awakened in the bed of your dormitory. Shi Mei was greeting you as he carried a bowl of soup toward you, keeping his usual gentle and warm demeanor. Shi Mei told you that he found you asleep on the ground and decided to carry you back to your dormitory; you knew that it was all too coincidental.

After Shi Mei left, you secretly dumped out the soup for safety precautions.

You were worried since it appears that you failed to prevent the flower of everlasting hatred from entering Mo Ran’s body. But it should be fine since it was the second lifetime, right?

__

"Youngsters like you shouldn’t be worried so much. It’s just seclusion, not a big deal. Put some faith in your Shizun," Xian'ye (the holy fan) stated in annoyance. Xian'ye appears to be already tired from you continuously standing on guards; almost as if you were to even leave for one second, your Shizun would be swallowed whole by a wolf. Out of all the disciples, you were the only insane one who went so far as to bring your blankets and pillow, casually sleeping on the grounds within the barriers of the Red Lotus Pavilion.

Even though you brought your blankets and pillows, these couple of days you have hardly gotten any sleep. You were worried that if you even were to close your eyes for a few minutes, everything would go wrong. Cultivators don’t even need sleep; therefore, you also don’t. You must keep on guard. You kept reminding yourself.

You ended up putting a spell on yourself to prevent yourself from falling asleep. You kept that a secret from everyone; however, your tired tone and dark circles were proof of it. Xue Meng was the only one to take notice of his visits. Xue Meng was determined to'suffer' together with you, considering how persistent you are; however, you were able to convince him to not do it after all; he still needs to focus on his cultivation with the excuse that he’s going to succeed Sisheng Peak in the future.

Shi Mei still didn’t appear, and you began to think that you should guard outside; after all, even if something did go wrong, your Shizun wouldn’t be interrupted in the middle of it.

Since you know that any interruptions in the middle of the healing process of cultivation could cause severe damage to the body. Only you can hear the sounds of Xian'ye. Unfortunately for you, interruptions by a certain holy weapon don’t count during your moments because you already own the main spirit of the holy weapon.

You were approaching the exit of the Red Lotus Pavilions when the ground began to violently shake. Your immediate instinct was to summon back your holy fan and head over to Chu Wanning, with the instinct of protecting him. But the Red Lotus Pavilion came crushing down on the both of you.

Your view blacks out again.

The Husky And The White Cat Shizun With Their Baobei
Chapter 6
"I completely don't comprehend you...How could you possibly be attracted to such a callous and ruthless bastard? Constantly taking his side over mine! Did you not even give a damn about the lacerations he gave me with his whip? Please, Shixiong Y/N, respond to me."
That was from Mo Ran's remarks, which you could still recall from your second prior existence. His tone was a mixture of desperation, betrayal, contempt, and perplexity. However, you ultimately chose not to respond to him. You have no idea how to react to it. Mo Ran was both correct and incorrect at the same moment. You didn't think about it since thinking about all those things made your brain hurt. The disappointment on his face will haunt you for the rest of your life.
——
You ran into Shi Mei and Xue Meng when they were younger. They may be a year older than you physically, but you are older mentally than they are. This implies that you still must address them as "Shixiong." Even though Shi Mei seemed gentle and kind, you were wary of him since only you and he knew that all of it was a facade. You would not permit yourself to repeat the errors of the past. You and Shi Mei were very close in your previous existence since you believed that that was a second lifetime.
You recalled from your first life memories that Shi Mei in HIS second lifetime was a good person who had connected with Hua Binan, who in HIS first life was also Shi Mei. In HIS second incarnation, Shi Mei ultimately contributed to Chu Wanning's escape from Hua Binan's control. You ultimately let your defenses down because of this. That was a grave error. Even though you made an effort to hide it from Shi Mei, it seems that he eventually discovered it.
"Shidi, did I did something wrong?" You would have been duped if it weren't for the knowledge of his actual nature, since it seemed rather innocent. "Shixiong, nothing. All I need is a little time to adjust to the new environment." This cannot be lost. At least not once more...
It was the same with you and Xue Meng. It was the same, at least to you. Affectionate. There's no need for you to exercise caution around him. You and Xue Meng were compelled to work together in your previous existence to overthrow Taxian-Jun's brutal regime. Xue Meng never stops watching over you and preparing you for any eventual death battle; in fact, Xue Meng even tried to persuade you that you aren't capable of fighting Taxian-Jun at all. Even though you are certain that he simply has your best interests in mind and didn't mean any harm, you ultimately chose not to tell him about your attempts to save Chu Wanning. You decide to keep that information to yourself because you did not want him to die. It was way too early for him to die.
———
As your shidi, Mo Ran has been lavishing you with care ever since his arrival. similar to your previous double existence. You pondered whether you could be more kind to Mo Ran than normal in order to lessen the Flower of Everlasting Hatred's impending impacts. Perhaps Mo Ran wouldn't have chosen the path of the merciless and icy Taxian-Jun if you had been kinder to him. Or maybe he would have gone that way anyhow, but he might be grateful for your earlier generosity and give you a favor. "Look at this f/c flower that I gathered, Shixiong Y/N. Are you fond of it?

The Husky And The White Cat Shizun With Their Baobei
Chapter 5
It was the same scene as before, the same exact alluring phoenix eyes looking down at you, bringing back memories of your second past life. You remembered your past self struggling to even speak, stuttering at almost every sentences in front of your idol. Even despite that. Chu Wanning didn't judge you and patiently waited for you.
You missed him. Waiting all those years for him. Practicing to your limits just to impress him. To save him. You wanted to embrace him tightly into your arms, telling him that everything is gonna be fine.
You said the same exact line from previous life, the only difference was that this time you didn't stutter.
"I waited all those years, only for you and nobody else. If needed, I would not hesitate to wait decades for you."
Human lives are short, so you know that you can't say hundreds even if you know deep inside that you would wait hundreds of years for him.
You have that determined and serious look on your face, as you held that hand fan downward lacking any signs of arrogance.
You watched silently as Chu Wanning considered your sentences. You were worried. Was it not enough? It should be enough, but why is he taking longer to respond than in your previous lifetime. Was your phrase too ridiculous or too short? Not passionate enough? What if he doesn't accepts you? If he doesn't, how could you protect him from afar?
This was the only few times where the fan stay silent, waiting together with you.
—-
You still ended up leaving the village, settling off on your quest. Same as past life time, the grandmother didn't stop you instead encouraged you to work harder to get into a good sect. The only difference was that in this lifetime, you weren't alone, your acquired holy weapon accompanied you. You went to Tinyau, a village on a mountain near the other mountain of Sisheng Peak. In your male form.
The village wasn't extremely far from your original village, after all if it was, Sisheng Peak wouldn't send disciples to assist with your village's agricultural development. However you assumed that it would be easier to be much closer, so that you wouldn't have to run late to the disciple-selecting ceremony.
The disciple-selecting ceremony isn’t that easy. At least not in your previous life. Since you weren’t friends with Xue Meng, like Shi Mei. You couldn’t pretend to be the son of the dead family member of Xue Zhengyong.
In your previous life, once those participating arrived at the ceremony, they will be teleported to a wide forest area that lacks any high-leveled creatures. There were some creatures, however it was all small ranked creatures, in order to prevent any accidents from happening. The task was to find feathers that only meant-to-be cultivators can see, the non-cultivators will be unable to see the features. Unless the non-cultivators is from a nobel family and have some ancestral weapon that can assist in the findings.
It sounds easy, however if there were tons of participants and only limited amount of feathers, people will tend to fight for it. You were smart to pretend that you don’t have any and was successfully able to fool those arrogant people from trying to get you as well.
With Xian'ye(your holy hand fan), you were able to get one of the feathers. Remembering that Chu Wanning and the other sect teachers are watching, you made sure to prevent any further incidents from occurring between the other participants. In your past life without any holy weapon, you wouldn’t able to do much since you don’t want to be drag into the drama.
——
"From now on, you’re my disciple. You would be committed to the pursuit of righteousness and cultivation. This choice will reshape the very essence of your journey and your destiny."
You got accepted by him.

The Husky And The White Cat Shizun With Their Baobei
Chapter 4
You made a swinging motion with the elegantly designed Chinese hand fan made of a round glass center on your most dominant side hand, and it swiftly cut down all the trees nearby without any effort.

The fan that you currently have is a beautifully crafted Chinese hand fan made of a round glass center, with the outer frame being pure silver. At the bottom of the silver handle, there is a small bell that is connected to a vibrant cyan tassel.

The center of the glass fan features intricate designs of delicate flowers, expertly painted or etched into the glass. The flowers add a lovely, elegant touch to the overall appearance of the fan.

Along the sides of the fan, there are two thin strings, or cords, that are attached. These strings connect to a flat, metal piece that is shaped like a butterfly. The ends of the strings are then connected to long, rectangular fabric-like pieces that hang down from the butterfly-shaped metal component.

This combination of the glass center, silver outer frame, bell, tassel, floral designs, and unique string and fabric attachments makes this a truly stunning and ornate Chinese hand fan.

Ever since you found it in the cave, you have been treasuring it; after all, it’s basically like finding life-saving grass.

"Ha, told you, kiddo! I’m so valuable that during my time, all the cultivators would fight against each other just to obtain me." It was the same old man's voice again. It came from the fan; thankfully, you were the only one who could hear it, or else someone would have assumed that voice came from you.

"Can you please just allow me to practice in peace?" You asked. To which the fan responded before following your instructions, "Hmph! So rude to your elders."

Finally, the fan shut up, and you continued with your practices. Ever since you obtained this godly item, you decided to improve your gathering of spiritual power, and you were able to reach Foundation Establishment rank. This level of spiritual power is essential to learning martial arts and using divine abilities. This rank was also the average rank for a beginner cultivator. This was already quite impressive considering that it only had been a few weeks, and before you obtained the item, you couldn’t even use any spiritual power without completely exhausting your body.

It was almost as if something or somebody had placed a seal in your cultivation core. You asked the fan about it, but even it couldn’t find anything; instead, it ended up reprimanding you and telling you to work harder.

You touched the new silver bell single earring on your right ear when you first found the fan from the cave and took it home without anyone noticing. The fan previously had one medium and one small bell charm. Both bell charms are elegantly designed. Usually, you would prefer not to have any sorts of earrings since the original body didn’t have any ear holes for earrings. In ancient China, oftentimes, to make those ear holes, you have to heat up a metal needle and directly pierced it through your ear. It is a painful process, and you can confirm it since you have been through that process just a couple of days ago.

You have no choice because, according to the fan, the medium bell is the main spirit of the weapon, and in order to make it more convenient to carry, you have to make it into an earring. You didn’t need any materials to make it into an earring, as once it was detached from the weapon, it created a silver hook on the medium bell.

Once you wear the earring on, it makes a clear tinkling sound from time to time as you walk. which you did complain to the fan; however, the fan was of no use and instead told you to deal with it yourself.

But you must admit, it does look quite pretty on your female form; it gives it a more feminine touch. Each bell has its own tassel; the medium bell, which is the one that you’re using as an earring, has a f/c tassel. You asked the fan about the coincidence of it being your f/c, and it just said that it was picked randomly by its creator. So you assumed that it was a mere coincidental occurrence.

The small bell, the one that is still connected to the fan, has a cyan tassel.

The earring is pretty; however, the issue is that when you checked with your male form during your alone time in the forest, you realized that the earring makes you weird. which you wouldn’t get much in detail with.

You wondered if Chu Wanning would think your male form looks funny wearing such a feminine-looking tassel. You didn’t even bothered mentioning Mo Ran due to your previous life grudge.

———
In fact, they think it truly matches you wonderfully.

The Husky And The White Cat Shizun With Their Baobei | 2HA Fanfic
Chapter 3
Every novel has a beginning and an ending, as well as mistakes during the drafting process. You were the mistake. After all, in your past lifetime,
Even with your existence, nothing has changed. In fact, you probably made it worse for both Chu Wanning and yourself. And if someone were to ever go up to your past self and tell you, "You're going to be reincarnated into a blood-thirsty novel filled with continuous angst," you would probably only laugh their comments off.
But now look at your current state; you can no longer laugh anymore; the joke has turned real.
"That should be enough herbs for today. The rest of the afternoon, I can explore the forest," you said to yourself.
You looked at the stack of herbs you collected from the forest; it filled the wooden bucket to the brim. There weren't many rare herbs around your original area due to your constant presence. So you ended up venturing away from the village, stopping near a river. It was also because you were thirsty and tired from collecting all the herbs. But of course, you weren't that foolish; you made sure to keep a dagger on you just in case of any danger.
Ever since you got reborn again, you have repeated the same activities that you do in the village. There was this role: the herb collector. The original owner's body was that of the herb collector of the village. All villages have their own herb collector; those techniques are often passed down from generations or taught by the previous herb collector. Ying Qin was the previous herb collector of the village.
During your second past life, you remembered her telling you about her childhood. Ying Qin's own father taught her the skills when she was young, and she always enjoys watching from afar as her own father picked those herbs from the soil. Later on, Ying Qin taught the original Y/N about it until you came along, resulting in Ying Qin having to'retaught' it again. Even despite that, Ying Qin never complains.
Ying Qin was born from the former male herb collector and a female villager from the other village. The two lovers meet under the guides of fate and fall in love upon one's rescue. It was a simple love story—one that you didn't give your full attention to.
In the past, once you realized that you had been reincarnated into a novel, you paid more attention to thinking about how you would interact with the main characters and how to become a disciple of Sisheng Peak. So you never truly care to listen to the full story.
You made sure to visit the forest daily to collect herbs for the village. The additional herbs were sold to the nearby villagers. The knowledge that you learned from your second past life allowed you to identify the rare herbs from the regular kind as well as sort the herbs from the poisonous ones. The rest of the time, you have decided to focus on improving your spiritual energy control and spending more time with Ying Qin.
You decided to explore the area in the forest that you hadn't explored in your previous life out of boredom. Reading novels made you learn that oftentimes, when exploring, the main characters will find some treasures, like a legendary sword or some mythic weapon. Adding to the fact that this world does have cultivators, it must have some mythic weapons hidden in the wild. However, you're not the main characters, but it's still worth a try. In your past life, you explored almost the entire forest, yet you found nothing. Instead, your past self was quite unfortunate and ended up finding groups of wild animals.
But also, thanks to that, you were able to know which parts of the forest to not go to.
However, even despite that, fate decided to play with you.
Out of nowhere, you heard the growling of wolves, so you quickly picked up the bucket and decided to leave in the direction of the village. You hope that you can leave before the wolves take notice of you. But what you would have never expected was for one of the wolves to jump in front of you, forcing you to run in the other direction from the village.
If it was just one wolf, you could have killed it with some minor injuries on your side. However, that clearly wasn't the situation!
You cursed once again; what's with your fate with wolves?
You decided to take random turns around the forest in hopes of getting the wolves off your routes, but there were still no results. As long as you're out in the open, the wolves will always find you.
Therefore, you must find a hiding spot somewhere dark so that the sunlight won't expose your location to the creatures. Like a cave! You looked around for caves. If there aren't any results, you continue looking while keeping your distance from the wolves. With some effort, you found a cave, just in time before the wolves caught up to you.
Without hesitation, you hide inside the dark, gloomy cave. You heard the wolves coming near the location with their paws stepping onto tree branches and leaves, until their movement completely stopped. Did they find you? Were you going to die again? Die earlier than last time? You closed your eyes, silently praying to any entity above that could get you out of this sticky situation.
The wolves whimpered at something before they took their leaves.
You were in a spot in the cave where only some sunlight could peek in.
You opened your eyes, peaking from behind the boulder that's hiding your figure; the wolves were gone. Something must have scared them away. Whatever it is, you took that as a sign that the imaginary entity from above has answered your prayers.
"Oh well, time to get up." You accidentally stepped on a mechanism floor piece on the ground. "Fuck!"
The ground that you were expecting to open beneath you didn't; instead, a blue spiritual power formed around the small cave. It disappeared after finishing its job. The cave expanded larger than before. Originally, the cave wasn't large, but it was just enough for hiding from creatures.
You have two choices: go deeper into the cave or go out. You have nothing to lose, so you picked going deeper into the cave.
                                        ——-
Prayers that nothing will go wrong.

The Husky And The White Cat Shizun With Their Baobei | 2HA Fanfic
Chapter 2
It's so dark...

You groaned out in pain; everywhere in your body was hurting. You could hear the desperation in Chu Wanning's voice. He seemed worried for you. You wish that you could stay by his side, but now that you're dead, you can't. He could only face the remaining moment of suffering at the hands of Taxian-Jun, alone by himself. Would Taxian-Jun punish him for trying to escape the second time? You should have waited a few more days and made better plans; if only then, you could have successfully saved Chu Wanning. God, you felt like an idiot. But there's nothing you can do about it after you're dead. Your soul is probably wandering somewhere else in the abyss.

You could have abandoned Chu Wanning and run away yourself. But where could you have run? Taxian-Jun basically has control of the entire cultivation world; even the cultivation sects are afraid to rebel against him. Sooner or later, he'll find a way to ruin your life, even if you never truly did anything bad to him.

What the hell is the problem with him?

You calmed yourself by reminding him that it wasn't Mo Ran's fault. It was the mastermind. Shi Mei, or, should you say, Hua Binan, was behind all of this.
Yet, you still have the urge to hit Mo Ran. Why does he have to be like a stupid husky?

But at the same time, if only you had kept an eye on Mo Ran more often, his affection rate with Shi Mei wouldn’t have risen to the point that Mo Ran would basically confuse gratitude with love. Your former self thought that it should be fine since in the second timeline Mo Ran later on didn’t do all those horrible things to Chu Wanning like in the first timeline. But you should have checked for signs of the 1st timeline and the 2nd timeline instead of immediately assuming that it’s the 2nd timeline.

While you were ranting and cursing at the unfortunate fate of you and the characters, You noticed that Chu Wanning's voices were fainting away. Did Taxian-Jun drag him away from your dead corpse? You know it was irrational to blame Taxian-Jun for your death; after all, there wasn't enough proof of him actually being your murderer. Still. He is the most suspected. Adding to the fact that he did threaten to kill you last time,.

Somehow, even though you can't hear Chu Wanning's voice again, you can still hear the sound of the rustling leaves and the bird chirping around. It would be quite peaceful if you weren't worried sick about Chu Wanning. You can't even remember how Chu Wanning died in his first life; you regretted not immediately writing it down in the first place. Was it by Taxian-Jun? Probably. You opened your eyes, and after a few failed attempts, you were back in the forest that you first started in.

You got up and checked your body; there were no injuries. You were completely fine. The pain that was previously there also disappeared. Chu Wanning was also nowhere to be found. You were reborn! You weren't sure if it was reborn in the second timeline or the first timeline. But regardless, you're determined to save Chu Wanning this time.

You followed the familiar routes back to the village, and you saw the familiar faces of the villagers. It's been awhile since you visited the village. The playful, youthful kids are running and playing with each other without a single care in the world.

Ever since you left the village, you never decided to come back to visit since you had to practice for the upcoming disciple selection ceremony. And after you became a disciple of Sisheng Peak under Chu Wanning, you ended up focusing on strengthening your spiritual core. After all, only with a strong spiritual core could the other process of using stronger spiritual power be achieved. With the remaining time hanging around Chu Wanning or the other disciples. Your spiritual power wasn't improving much, even despite all the practices.

One thing you learned from those reincarnation novels is to at least make friends with the main characters, which you succeed with a few difficulties. Mo Ran was somewhat easier to approach due to his usual outgoing personality. For Chu Wanning, it was about patience and care; it was best to not rush things with Chu Wanning.

"孙女! I was looking for you. How many herbs have you collected? Did you get injured?"

That was Ying Qin, your current body's grandmother. She died a couple of months after you left the village. You remember the day that you got the news from the news sender. You did have guilt for not spending more time with her; even though she isn't your real grandmother, she still treated you with care. She didn't even hesitate to believe you when you lied to her about losing your memories.

"I'm alright, 奶奶." You took out a stack of herbs that the original Y/N had previously collected and handed them to Ying Qin. The familiar-looking, simple, loose-fitting, earthy-toned garments made of cheap natural fabrics that you have seen since you first met her. It has been quite a while, but there are some details you still remember. Ying Qin's wrinkled and weathered skin reflected a lifetime of experience, with her hunched posture from all the hard work, but even despite that, she still held a genuine smile while greeting you.

The following days, you spend more time with Ying Qin, just like you used to in your second past life. One difference between this life and the past is that in this life, you choose not to mention anything about memory loss.

You remember that in your first past life, your grandmother died before you were even born. You never have the chance to meet your grandma; you only meet your grandmother on your mother's side. However, you also noticed that there aren't many facial similarities between you and Ying Qin. Even though she was slightly wrinkled, you still didn't spot any similar facial features. Perhaps it's that the genes from the mother side are more dominant; maybe that's why?

In this life, you depend on your memories of the method of cultivation to regain your spiritual core and essence. Meaning that you don’t have to wait for the group of Sisheng Sect disciples to arrive. Even despite that, you still need to take up to a year and a half.
It could have taken longer, but thanks to previous life experiences, you were able to find some herbs that're essential to boosting one’s cultivation. If it weren’t for those herbs, you were sure that it would take up to 3 years, even despite the earlier process.

You cursed at yourself for being reincarnated into such a weak body once again.

Something that you will never understand is that since you can sense that you have more than one spiritual essence, shouldn’t you be as powerful as the other cultivators, or maybe even more powerful? Yet, your cultivation was not even better than that of Shi Mei. Shi Mei specializes in healing! He’s better at healing than you are at your own cultivation. That was the reason why it was so difficult for you to successfully help Chu Wanning escape from your past life.

You suppose that fate simply likes to play a cruel joke on you.

One day, as you watched from afar as the crowd gathered around a merchant stand, you already had a feeling for what this could be about.

"Selling cultivation materials, including the books for boosting one’s cultivation!" The materials were made from plastic, but the villagers didn’t know that, other than the merchant and yourself. The so-called cultivation books were just writings about cultivation methods that rumors say work but actually don't. How did you know that? In your previous life, you watched the scene of a woman exposing the scammer after buying tons of the scammer’s products for them to not even work at all. The scammer attempted to accuse the purchaser, saying that they probably purchased those products from elsewhere. Just when you thought that the scammer might win this case, another person said that they had seen the same exact woman purchasing those products from the stand.

In order to escape this situation, the scammer tells the crowd that he doesn’t have enough money to make a refund right now, but he’ll come back the next day. The villagers didn’t believe him, and in the end, the scammer left his stand and ran away without giving the woman any refund.

Even with his stand on fake materials and fake books, the woman still ended up suffering a huge loss after all the prices were expensive since almost everyone got fooled into thinking it was real materials.

You looked at a similar situation in your second life.

It was once again that scummy marketing strategy, done by the same exact male merchant from last time. You remembered it in your past life; you ignored it after all; it’s not your business. You heard a kid urging their mother to purchase them the materials and books. You took one step in their direction in hopes of convincing them not to make the purchases. Before backing off, upon realizing that the mother of the kid was the same exact woman that would later expose the scammer,.

Balancing the pros and cons, even if you attempt to stop them, there is no guarantee that they will listen to you. So you decided not to make a scene.

One thing you learned from your past life was to never overestimate your ability.

The Husky And The White Cat Shizun With their Baobei | 2HA Fanfic
Chapter 1
To be awakened in the body of a female with limited access to power within the spiritual core was truly a bizarre situation. The first day in the body got you already missing the technologies of the modern era; you were unsure how you'd even survive. The location was also crucial; after all, if it were in the middle of nowhere, chances are you'd likely die. Well, the first thing you realized was that you were in the middle of the forest next to a field of herbs. Your clothing was some common white robes, inner and outer.

There were times where you almost ended up dying, but thankfully your current body's agility and speed were quite decent. Allowing you to quickly move away from the approaching wolves that were hoping to have you as their dinner. You followed routes that looked strangely familiar to you, and you ended up coming across a village and meeting a kind old woman who appeared to know you. Only then did you realize that your current body name has the same name as you, Y/N. That woman allowed you to tidy yourself up in her home, which you were grateful for. Only by looking in the mirror did you realize that your current body shared similar facial features and the same eye colors. The current body of yours has longer hair than your previous self. It was a female body with boobs. You also found out you're the granddaughter of Ying Qin, the old lady who called you 孙女. You were thankful for learning Chinese during your previous life, or else you were sure that you would act like a fool in the village and be unable to communicate properly with the rest of the villagers.

It did take awhile for you to get accustomed to the lack of modern technologies, since in modern times, when it comes to any problems, it's easier for you to just look them up. You have to lie to Ying Qin that you bumped your head during your time collecting herbs, resulting in some memory loss. Thankfully, Ying Qin quickly believed you, even though it does sound too convenient. It was the fourth month when you heard from the villagers about a group of Sisheng Peak cultivators coming to help with the agricultural development of that month. Sisheng Peak rang a memory in your mind; you remembered reading a novel about Mo Ran and Chu Wanning. Sisheng Peak was where Mo Ran and Chu Wanning lived. But you were unsure if the timeline was after or before Mo Ran's identity as the son of Xue Duanrong.

From then on, you had one goal, which was to become a cultivator and get accepted as one of the disciples of Chu Wanning. Only then could you finally be close to your favorite idol. Yes, you would be quite a simp for Chu Wanning; who wouldn't be? The problem is that you would need a real cultivation book instead of those fake ones that scammers would sell. Almost as if fate answered your call, one of the Sisheng Peak cultivators accidentally dropped their cultivation-learning material during their visit without realizing it. You were unsure why they would even bring it when they’re supposed to be helping to grow the crops of the village, but it’s none of your business.

With the acquired material, you were finally able to learn the route of cultivation. Awakening your spiritual core was a hard task; for more than 3 years, there was hardly any process. You weren’t sure if that was supposed to be normal or not. When you were almost ready to give up, suddenly you were able to sense your spiritual essence. Surprisingly, it was more than one, but you were unsure how many spiritual essences there were; it all felt mixed up. But regardless, you were happy to hear that you finally achieved the first step to cultivating. You wasted almost no time packing up and leaving the village to a location closer to Sisheng Peak.

During this time, you also ‘accidentally' learned a new method of turning yourself into a male. At first, you were unsure how to turn back, so you simply ended up staying as a male for the rest of the trip.

You were preparing for the new disciple-selecting ceremony; you have to think of a way for Chu Wanning to be willing to choose you as his disciple. Since you remembered that Chu Wanning doesn’t blindly choose his disciples, Like Shi Mei, it was because of their kind and gentle nature. And you weren’t the son or daughter of a sect leader like Xue Meng. There was almost nothing special about you. Your swordsmanship seems rigid and doesn’t feel right after all; you don’t have proper training, and some mere books weren’t enough. Your cultivation is still on a basic basis, even though you can sense the mixture of different spiritual essences within you.

Perhaps picking a flower and handing it to Chu Wanning could boost your chance?

After all, you remembered reading a part about how hardly any disciples approach Chu Wanning due to statements about his coldness and harsh personality. Perhaps that was the reason why Chu Wanning hardly has any disciples, compared to the rest of the other sets of Shizun, who have hundreds of disciples.

You did it, and it succeeded. Chu Wanning has taken you as one of his disciples.

You met Xue Meng and Shi Mei; however, Mo Ran was nowhere to be found. You guess that the timeline was before the main plot line started. You naively thought that everything was going to be alright, since it’s probably the second timeline and not the previous one. You were horribly wrong. Shi Mei ended up pretending to die, and it completely fooled Mo Ran. Mo Ran wouldn’t try to even listen to your explanation on how Shi Mei wasn’t actually dead, resulting in a huge argument that tore both of your close relationships apart. Chu Wanning also blamed himself for the 'death' of Shi Mei. You tried to explain that Shi Mei wasn’t dead, but Chu Wanning only assumed that you were trying to comfort him with lies. Nothing changed from the original plotline, even with your existence.

Mo Ran becomes Taxian-Jun, the emperor of the cultivation realm, marrying the most beautiful woman. Taking Chu Wanning as his concubine.

You attempted to run away with Chu Wanning but were caught by minions of Taxian-Jun and later Taxian-Jun. You still remember the terrifying glare that Taxian-jun gave you; it sends shivers down your spine. Taxian-jun dragged Chu Wanning back after coldly warning you that he wouldn’t hesitate to kill you as well if you interrupted his plan. Even despite that, you were still determined to help Chu Wanning escape the grasp of Taxian- Jun.. During your stay at Sisheng Peak, you finally found a method of changing back to your original form, which was female, but you decided to stay as a male.

Your plan was to sneak in as a female maid into the palace and sneak Chu Wanning out. Chu Wanning was surprised to see you in your original form; however, you knew that you didn’t have much time to explain. But during both of your escapes, you died. You were unsure how you died. Did Taxian-Jun kill you? You only remembered bleeding out and dying, with Chu Wanning attempting to stop the bleeding but failing miserably due to the limitation of his cultivation.

CHAPTER 5
The man's arm resembled the arm wrestlers that Xuan had seen on television. It was powerful and long, just the right amount to make someone gasp. Xuan's nails had embedded themselves inside him during her struggle, leaving red markings on his arm that resembled crescent shapes.  The leader's left eye is scarred; it was a fairly large scar that extends from the eyebrow to the cheek, giving the image of additional terror.
Indeed, misfortune clings to whomever it comes across, don't you think? Xuan was so enraged that she could feel her mind cursing the system till it died. She felt guilty at the moment for not acting more quickly. Had she simply stopped Xiyin sooner, stayed in that room from the start, and avoided reading PIDW or SVSSS, perhaps she wouldn't have been selected to be "reincarnated" as a user. She will now die as a result of her error.Though Xuan wasn't sure if it was from the lack of oxygen or her current excessively emotional state, she could feel tears threatening to fall.
【ᴅᴏ ᴜsᴇʀ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴇǫᴜɪᴘ xᴜᴀɴ ᴊɪ's ᴊᴀᴅᴇ ʙʀᴀᴄᴇʟᴇᴛ?】
                  <<< ʏᴇs>>> ᴏʀ <<<ɴᴏ>>>
ᴏɴʟʏ ᴏɴᴇ sᴇʟᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ ᴄᴀɴ ʙᴇ sᴇʟᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ
Is this how you're making fun of me, implying that I could at least pass away stylishly? Go fuck yourself with a goddamn bamboo sword!
Xuan mentally screamed at the system.
【ᴜsᴇʀ ʜᴀs ᴀᴜᴛᴏᴍᴀᴄɪᴀʟʟʏ ᴇǫᴜɪᴘᴘᴇᴅ 'ᴄʜᴇɴ ʏᴀɴ'  - ᴊᴀᴅᴇ ʙʀᴀᴄᴇʟᴇᴛ】
          ᴀᴜᴛᴏᴍᴀᴄɪᴀʟʟʏ sᴇʟᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ <<<ʏᴇs>>>
A flash of light shot from her wrist, revealing a brand-new piece of jewelry. Although the light wasn't bright enough to dazzle everyone in the area, it was definitely bright enough to blind her captor at the moment. Xuan bit hard at his arm, using all her strength. "Fuck!" Her kidnapper let go of her, yelling as he did so. As it sent right at the lackeys holding onto the small boy and Xiyin, six needles materialized out of thin air.
Each of the lackeys gave a painful yelp as the sharp tips pierced their shoulder blades and they lost their hold. Xiyin and the young kid were lifted upwards by a cord that seemed to be connected to the jade bracelet on Xuan's wrist. protecting herself was more essential to Xuan than protecting others, therefore she wasted no time in fleeing. not learning about the thread until long later, after managing to get sufficiently enough away from her captors.
Xuan was surprised by the voice, "Xuan jiejie, I believe that's far enough," and was unaware that Xiyin was directly behind her. The jade bracelet's radiance faded and then returned to its original form, and the thread vanished as it gently brought Xiyin and the young child to the ground.  "Huh...how did-", Xuan interrupted herself before she could say anything more Xuan was very certain that the only sound she heard behind her was her own footsteps.
【ᴜsᴇʀ ʜᴀᴅ ᴜsᴇᴅ ᴛᴡᴏ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ғᴇᴡ ᴜsᴀɢᴇ ᴏғ ᴄʜᴇɴ ʏᴀɴ】
"Are you alright, Xuan jiejie?"
Naturally, she isn't! The previous attack had left Xuan with a tingling and stinging sensation all around her neck. Xuan was fairly certain that it would quickly turn into a bruise. Xuan lightly massages her neck in a circular motion, with the intention of promoting more balanced blood flow. She had to tell herself to keep her cool because her ooc function hadn't yet unlocked.
"I'm fine" . Even though it was a falsehood, Xiyin was able to find some solace in it, which made her exhale with ease.
Xuan looked at the small boy, whose rag of clothes covered him completely; his black hair was a jumble of knots and tangles, almost like a bird's nest. The boy's face was so filthy that it looked like someone had smeared wet sandpaper mixed with mud on it and let it dry! Don't even get Xuan started! Was she being overly severe? Naturally not! The boy wouldn't even be in this predicament if he hadn't stolen something that wasn't really his.
Yes, a boy! Xuan realized that her goal was to locate the son who had gone missing, and that neither she nor Xiyin had even inquired about the details of his appearances! No identifying names! They're essentially seeing in all directions!
【ɪɴᴀᴅᴇǫᴜᴀᴛᴇ ᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟɪsᴍ. ɪғ ᴛʜɪs ᴄᴏɴᴛɪɴᴜᴇs ᴜsᴇʀ ᴡɪʟʟ ɢᴇᴛ ᴘᴏɪɴᴛ ᴅᴇᴅᴜᴄᴛɪᴏɴ ᴀᴅᴅɪɴɢ ᴜᴘ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴀʟʀᴇᴀᴅʏ ɴᴇɢᴀᴛɪᴠᴇ ᴡᴀʟʟᴇᴛ】
Xiyin asked the youngster as she knelt down to his level, "What's your name?" The child turned his head in the opposite direction and remained silent. Xuan asked the child, placing her right hand on his shoulder, "Did your parents not teach you that it is impolite to disregard someone's response?" She didn't want to come across as the harsh, confrontational kind, but she couldn't possibly obtain any information if she didn't receive a response. "Zhou Lian." The tiny child continued to avert their eyes. Maybe out of guilt?
"Zhou, there's no need to be afraid of us. We're not here to hurt you"
"Where's your parents?"
"Don't have any" Zhou Lian answered bluntly without any hesitation.
Just like that, Xuan's lone chance to complete the assignment vanished. No, hold on, there is still a possibility. "What do you mean that you 'don't have any'?" Zhou Lian glared at Xuan after directing her attention to him. "Oh? Did your parents not teach you that asking about personal matters is considered impolite?"
"..." Xuan was too shocked to speak.
"Why did you stole the pouch bag?"
"I didn't steal it!" Xuan glared at Zhou as she narrowed her eyes. Zhou hesitantly said, "Yeah, I did steal, but it was only because I had no other option."
                                        ——
The woman, who appears to be in her 30s, has a mole under her chin and some minor wrinkles. She grinned and greeted the two girls, stuttering a little when she noticed the tiny boy and asked, "Son??" She rushed to the youngster and gave him a quick hug. "I don't even know you," the child said, groaning in anguish as he made an attempt to shove the older away.
Xuan wiped her forehead as she began to feel lightheaded. Odd, does this mean that her spirit hasn't yet adapted to the body? "Bad son!" The woman managed to strike Zhou, but Zhou bit down hard on the arm right away. "How dare you even say that you don't know the woman that gave birth to you?" the woman said. From her cut, blood seeped down, discoloring the woman's sleeves.
It was BLACK instead of crimson.
"Cursed you kids for ruining my plans!" The woman forcefully pushed Zhou and slammed his tiny body against the wall. Xuan kept Xiyin's wrist in her grasp. The woman's brown eyes turned scarlet as her iris began to turn bloody, and her gaze shifted from Zhou to Xiyin and finally to Xuan. With a bone-cracking sound, the demon swung her right arm and said, "Give me your spiritual power!" Xuan pushed Xiyin away with great speed before the demon pounded on her. With its razor-sharp claws, the demon penetrated both of Xuan's shoulders. Xuan aimed her spiritual force at her hands, striking the demon squarely in the chest.
Despite being flung, the demon managed to grab hold of the stand. To be honest, Xuan didn't think the maneuvers she had learned from cultivation Chinese shows would actually work. Evidently, it was successful. Xuan was quite certain that Shen Yuan had the choice to select simple mode when he was going through a similar situation. Regretfully, she was not given the choice.
【ᴇᴀsʏ ᴍᴏᴅᴇ ᴡɪʟʟ ʙᴇ ᴀᴠᴀɪʟᴀʙʟᴇ ᴏɴᴄᴇ ᴜsᴇʀ' ʙᴀʟᴀɴᴄᴇ ɢᴏᴇs ʙᴀᴄᴋ ᴛᴏ ᴘᴏsɪᴛɪᴠᴇ 】
Xiyin took a few further steps and placed her hand on Zhou's shoulder, clearly displaying concern in her gaze. With a few curses spoken under her breath, Xuan wasn't sure what to do if the demon attacked again. Xuan escaped the demon's next blow. She understood that she had to stop dodging since the demon would never be vanquished if she did. She delivers a lethal strike to it’s stomach while concentrating her spiritual strength into her hands.  The bracelet called forth a pair of talismans, which hovered in midair before lunging for the beast. With a sizzling sound on the flesh, the talisman burns the demon.
The demon chose to move toward Xiyin and Zhou rather than their original aim. Crap! She knew that if the demon gain ahold of them, they’ll put her at more disadvantage! With all of her effort, Xuan grabbed hold of the demon's arm and twisted it an ugly degree. Blood was streaming from Xuan's arm wound as the demon bit him. Xuan used her other hand to hold the demon's hair, suddenly feeling the impulse to rip the female demon's hair off her head. She bit down her tongue to control her urge to cry out in pain. She was able to effectively free her arm from the hag's sharp teeth.
The demon started to flee from the group before collapsing to the ground and erupting into a mush of blood while wailing in pain. None of the blood from the reduced demon splashed on Xuan was able to reach her due to the barrier surrounding her. Sadly, Xiyin and Zhou, covered in the demon's blood, weren't as lucky to be on the other side. Xuan is appreciative of her strong stomach because she was certain she would throw up at the first unpleasant sight. Before her headaches got worse, she took a few steps in the direction of Xiyin and Zhou and then staggered into her next few feet. When Xiyin eventually broke out of her reverie, she helped Xuan by clinging to her uninjured arm.

CHAPTER 4
【ǫᴜᴇsᴛ ᴀᴄǫᴜɪʀᴇᴅ: ғɪɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ᴍɪssɪɴɢ ᴋɪᴅ ᴏғ ᴀ ɪɴɴᴏᴄᴇɴᴛ ᴇʟᴅᴇʀʟʏ ᴄʜɪʟᴅ. ᴜsᴇʀ sᴇʟᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ 'ʏᴇs'. ɪғ ᴍɪssɪᴏɴ ɪs sᴜᴄᴄᴇssғᴜʟ, ᴘʟᴀʏᴇʀ sʜᴀʟʟ ʀᴇᴄɪᴇᴠᴇᴅ ᴀ ʙᴏɴᴜs ᴏғ 𝟸𝟶𝟶 ᴘᴏɪɴᴛs】
Xuan Ji seeps onto the green tea that was offered by the old woman. The elderly woman guided them to a tiny store and offered to buy them drinks and food in exchange for their assistance. Just two cups of green tea were ordered by Xuan Ji: one for himself and one for Xiyin. She supposed the actual Xuan Ji would also act in such manner. Knowing that the villagers are already impoverished enough, she also doesn't want the elderly woman to spend any more money. She looked down her long sleeves, making sure to pull the golden hairpin further inside to keep it from falling.
"Where was the last time you saw your son?" Xuan Ji inquired in an effort to learn more about it.
"I'm not sure..." Xuan Ji raising an eyebrow as she carefully listened to the elderly woman’s statement. "How are you not sure, about your own son?" she asked.
"He's always a reckless young man, he never listens to me, he goes wherever he want without telling me anything"
Yes, so the man was killed by his own stupidity. That will most likely also be waiting for Xuan Ji in the event that she is unable to alter her destiny. "Don't worry ma'am, I and Jiejie will find your son!" A startling voice surprised Xuan Ji, it was Xiyin.
Isn't it premature to commit to such promise? Her son might have passed away already, for all we know! Don't make any such promises—especially ones you can't keep—because it's difficult to bring someone back to life!
"If that is the case, I will no longer disturb you two young girls. This old woman shall take her leave," the woman got up from her chair and walked out of the restaurant, leaving Xuan Ji and Xiyin alone with their thoughts. "So Xuan jiejie, what are you deciding for us to do?" Xiyin said, gazing at Xuan in anticipation of a response. If nothing else, at least she knows when to take business seriously.
【+𝟸𝟶 ᴘᴏɪɴᴛ ᴏɴ ᴜsᴇʀ's 'ᴀᴛᴛᴇᴍᴘᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴀᴄᴛ ᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ'】
Xuan was annoyed by the notification that showed up in front of her since she could see the system was making fun of her without much thought—not that she isn't intelligent.
She honestly has no idea where to go after she leaves the restaurant. On the left, Xiyin is standing as usual next to her. Ma'am, even though I'm grateful you trust me to keep you safe, I don't think I could do the same for myself! You are usually by my side, so if a beast attacked one of us, it would probably hit both of us!
"YOU SON OF A BITC-"
Xuan and Xiyin are alerted when they hear a loud cry that seems to have come from a dark alleyway across the street. Oh no, Xuan has seen too many scary movies to be naive enough to believe that entering would not yield any positive results. "Should we checked it out?" Xiyin innocently pointed her index finger in the direction of the location and questioned.
It was unnecessary since a larger, stronger man pushed a well-known little child out of the alleyway. That boy was the same one who had run into Xuan Ji earlier. The boy had two other men standing beside him. The younger lad is lifted off the ground by the larger male who grips his collar firmly. A gorgeous blue floral pattern on a small pouch bag with a white tassel dropped from the boy's pocket.
"Xuan Jiejie, isn't that the same exact pocket that usually hanged around your waist robe?"
Because Xuan Ji had just recently "reincarnated" into this body, the pouch bag was absent from its original location. If Xiyin hadn't just now informed her, Xuan Ji wouldn't even be aware that she held the pouch bag. Now it was clear that the youngster had intentionally run into Xuan Ji and taken the pouch bag without her knowing. Since she had never even realized she had a pouch bag on her until now, Xuan felt a little ashamed.
The bigger man picked up the pouch bag after noticing the dropped object and threw the small lad to the ground. "Look, it wasn't even that difficult! If you would have been a good boy and hand over your pouch bag, it would had probably saved you some punches”, The larger male grinned as he eagerly opened the pouch bag in the hopes of finding some precious items, only to be disappointed at the sight of simply herbs.
"What the hell is this?!" The man apparently did not like what he saw because he threw all the herbs onto the ground and then stumped on them with his foot, reducing them into ashes and rubbish. He then tossed the pouch bag away. "You must think this is funny right?!" The youngster yelped in pain when the stranger grabbed hold of his hair.
"Stop this instant!" The man and his lackeys were alarmed by that voice. Xuan looked at Xiyin with an expression of skepticism, as if she were doubting Xiyin's sanity. In addition to the fact that Xiyin's attempt to assist Xuan is unlikely to be successful, both Xuan and Xiyin are likely to become involved in the conflict. Worst of all, the current Xuan Ji is completely untrained in battle, and Xuan has little faith that Xiyin will know how to defend herself. Why couldn't Xiyin see the situation and decide it would be best to remain silent? Xuan now regrets not leaving with Xiyin right away.
Goddammit, even though it's definitely not on purpose, Xiyin really enjoys making issues for Xuan. May the Lord have pity and spare her from assigned to a trouble-attracter!
The man let go of the younger youngster and said, "Look at what we have here," before approaching the two women. One of the lackeys grabbed the small boy's wrist and stopped any attempts at running away when he made an attempt to do so. "You shouldn't treat a little boy in that way. He still has a bright future in front of him”. Where did Xiyin get the bravery, Xuan wasn't sure. The comment was ignored by the buffer man as he licked his lips, drawing an unpleasant response from Xuan. The man tried to grab hold of Xiyin, but Xuan stopped him by twisting his wrist, causing him to grunt in agony. The man stared at Xuan as he withdrew his hand. Xuan looked down at the wrist the man had been twisted by. Muscle memory, perhaps?
"Xuan jiejie look out!"
The man hoisted Xuan off the ground while tightly grabbing her throat. Her nails left scratches on his arm. “What on earth are you moron waiting for? Grab the other female as well!" The boss, who appeared to be the leader, roared at his henchmen who flinched and quickly obliged.

CHAPTER 3
In Xuan Ji's opinion, she doesn't whine nearly as often as other people. To be transmigrated, reincarnated, or whatever her current circumstance is. She isn't even sure if she was transmigrated or reincarnated! She is even unaware of her own death! Does she even exist? Wait, of course she does exist. What kind of dumb question is that?? The system claims that she reincarnated, but it gives no indication of how she died. She has been on the phone and in the bus before. Did her bus experience a collision? But shouldn't she experience that pain as other anime and manga characters experienced it as well?
Before rushing outdoors, she hastily put the black blindfold across her eyes. Having learned the ability of "inner-sight," the sight is translucent black, but she can still see herself surrounded. How much better it would have been if she could use eye contacts in the time period she is in. She wouldn't be forced to wear this obtrusive blindfold. It had only been 10 minutes and she already lost 100 points for it, making her account going negative! If she repeats that 100 more times, she will be buried alive!
Spotting Xiyin holding the hairpin and enthusiastically waving it like a young child playing with their toy. She wasn't sure whether to be jealous of the young energy of the female or to act as though she doesn't know the female. It didn't matter since Xiyin approached her without hesitation, approaching her like an adorable kitten that needed its owner to survive. Xiyin positioned herself at Xuan Ji's side and then carefully nudged onto her long sleeve.
"Hm?" To prevent Xiyin from realizing she already knew what the female was about to give her, Xuan Ji pretended to be completely unaware.
"I just purchased you this hairpin, Xuan- Jie Jie. I hope you'll like it," Xiyin stutters inconsolably while looking to the side. Her cheek begins to flush a peachy-color as she struggles to look squarely at Xuan Ji.
"Oh...thanks?" Xuan Ji was uncertain of the original Xuan Ji's response. She also doesn't want to lose any more points.
Walking alongside Xuan Ji, Xiyin nodded but kept her mouth shut as her previous blush subsided. Xiyin presents as a pleasant and attractive young lady with a good body shape who wears light cosmetics. Even though she is only giving an item as a gift, Xiyin appears to admire the original Xuan Ji sufficiently to cause such reactions.
They fell into an awkward silence because neither of them seemed to know what to say to the other. "Any place that you want to visit?" Xuan Ji immediately regretted the word after she had said it. She should have just kept quiet to avoid losing points for speaking in an ooc-style, but her noisy little mouth wasn't much help.
"Anywhere that Xuan jiejie wanna goes, A-yin will follow"
Oh then, that was certainly of no use. Not that Xuan Ji will express her ideas in the open and dash Xiyin's hopes.
Xuan Ji noticed an elderly woman staring at them as though she were waiting or hesitating. When the elderly woman noticed that Xuan Ji was looking at her, she swayed to the side. The woman approached them after gathering the guts to do so and said, "What sect are you two females from?"
"We're not members of a sect", replied Xiyin immediately in response to the query. The elderly woman changes in some way after hearing that. "Is something wrong?" As she kept gazing at the woman though her black blindfold, Xuan Ji asked.
"Nothing. Simply put, I was concerned that I wouldn't have enough money to pay them if they were cultivators from a larger sect."
Xuan Ji replied, "What is it that you need help with?"
"My son is missing ever since yesterday night, I been attempting to ask around yet ..."
"We should assist her, "said Xiyin, pulling on Xuan's sleeves as she scowled in sympathy for the elderly woman and expressed concern for her son. Xuan responded by nodding.
"Please give us the intel on the matter"

CHAPTER 2
It was simple to conclude that Xuan Ji conceals her eyes from the public's view after learning a sizable amount of ancient cultivation book spoilers from her acquaintances. That was safer, but how can Yuhong see with the blindfold on? She struggles with olfactory perception!
A new message appeared on the blue screen when it reappeared.
【xᴜᴀɴ ᴊɪ ʜᴀs ᴛʜᴇ ᴀʙɪʟɪᴛʏ ᴛᴏ sᴇᴇ, ᴇᴠᴇɴ ɪғ ʜᴇʀ ɪɢʜᴛ sᴏᴜʀᴄᴇ ɪs ʙʟᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ. ᴡʜᴇɴ ᴜsᴇʀ ɪs ʀᴇɪɴᴄᴀʀɴᴀᴛᴇᴅ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴛʜɪs ʙᴏᴅʏ, ᴛʜᴇʏ ᴀᴜᴛᴏᴍᴀᴄɪᴀʟʟʏ ʀᴇᴄɪᴇᴠᴇᴅ ᴛʜᴇ sᴋɪʟʟ, sᴏ ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ's ɴᴏ ɴᴇᴇᴅ ғᴏʀ ᴜsᴇʀ ᴛᴏ ᴡᴏʀʀʏ】
That was the last message she received before the system once more abandoned her.
[Yuhong's name will be changed to Xuan Ji in the chapters to follow]
When Xuan Ji turned to look, she saw Xiyin in the halted state. After turning to face Xiyin and pausing in front of her, Xuan Ji giggled to herself while waving her palm in front of her eyes. She simply was unable to control her urges.
Xiyin's form suddenly shifted, encircling her with an arm.
What the hell, system? You ought to have at least forewarned me!
Given that Xiyin didn't seem to be letting go of her, Xuan Ji wasn't sure what to do.
"A-Ji jie jie, how are you doing? Do you need some chicken soup, please? The soft voice of Xiyin reached Xuan Ji.
Unsure of how to respond, Xuan Ji pursed her lips before gently nudging Xiyin away from her. In answer, Xiyin bow her head down and said, "A-yin should go, A-yin hopes that jiejie will have a good rest." It appears that Xiyin recognized Xuan Ji's distress.
Xiyin just stated that before exiting the room, leaving Xuan Ji by herself with her thoughts.
She wasn't acting ooc, right? The system didn't popped out with a 'ooc' or a deduction point warning, which means she did everything correct. Xuan Ji sighed to herself, she would had feel pity for Xiyin and Xiyin's unfortunate fate, but she knew better to care about her own devastating destined defeat rather than someone's.
Xuan gazed around the area before looking back at the door that Xiyin left in, not sure if she should left the room as well or look around first. Looking around the room and gathering information would be the best option. She glance through the wooden cabinets, opening every single one of them, all of them were empty. She checked beneath the pillows, still nothing.
If she didn't knew any better, she would had assumed that this place got robbed.
Guess, she had no choice but to go outside as well. She opened the seemly worn-down door to be greeted by a scenery of a hills and mountains. It appears that she currently is in a village, crowds of people dressed in rags walking back and forth. She saw few people, to which she assumed homeless people, laying on the ground with bowls of water.
She stood there for awhile, taking in everything she sees before she got bumped into by a kid. The kid said nothing, no apologies whatsoever, and quickly ran off. This quickly ruined Xuan's mood, as a irk-mark appears on her forehead before it slowly fades away.
She shouldn't allow a kid to ruined her mood. Mhm, she knew better than to allow such a thing to happen.
A familiar figure stood next to a hairpin stand. The familiar female stares at a certain beautiful golden hairpin. There is a tiny pink rose decoration on the hairpin with it's surrounded with pearls on the side. It's sharp tip, could be used as a weapon or a certain something to keep the hair pin in place.
"This would certainly matches jiejie's style! Sir, how much for this hairpin?" Xiyin pointed toward a hairpin that she was previously staring at. Xiyin took out 3 taels of silver, handing it toward the seller in exchange for the hairpin.
Almost as if fate decided to put Xuan Ji in a difficult position, Xiyin immediately spotted Xuan Ji the moment she turn her head around.
"Jiejie, look at what I bought for you!" Xiyin casually waved her, with the golden hairpin on the hand that was waving her with.

CHAPTER 1
Yuhong, a typical daytime female who had just graduated from college, boarded the bus as usual after visiting her friend's home. She looked through her phones as she searched for anything to do to pass the time. Novels. She wasn't a huge admirer of novels, but she also didn't consider herself to be a hater; she only read them because they were fascinating. The protagonist of the book "Proud Immortal Demon Way" is a young male pupil who killed his Shifu as a result of ongoing harassment and hostility. After Shen Qingqiu's passing, the majority of the novel was just plain pornographic with no discernible plot, which made Yuhong lose interest in the book.
Yuhong doesn't seem to have been the only one who was unhappy with it, as numerous more complaints were posted in the main comment section.
Luo Binghe had the option of choosing to be happier without the urge to exact retribution, but resentment and anger dominated his thoughts. He ultimately turned out to be no better than the monster he had previously battled. That's why it has a "abused becomes the abuser" vibe. Shen Qingqiu doesn't show Luo Binghe the affection he craves; instead, he is met with hostility and glares. Perhaps this is why he had so many affairs. That, however, does not justify his nasty behavior.
Shen Qingqiu wasn't deserving of being turned into a human stick and placed inside a pickle jar. Or maybe he did. Everyone has a different way of looking at the scenario, and some people believe that Shen Qingqiu's difficult upbringing should not be used as an explanation for his mistreatment of Luo Binghe. Others could choose to remain impartial because they think that both sides have committed sins. Others would counter that Shen Qingqiu was just jealous of Luo Binghe because the latter had a happy childhood while the former did not, as opposed to the main character.
Shen Qingqiu was initially only known to Yuhong as the villain, a cold-hearted Shifu, and as someone whose death was merited for torturing Luo Binghe. There is no history at all. Why would Shen Qingqiu abuse Luo Binghe in that way? Perhaps Shen Qingqiu was simply looking for someone to use as a punching bag for all of his issues, and Luo Binghe was the one he ultimately settled on?
Before moving on with her thoughts, Yuhong scowled at the idea.
The novel centers on Shen Yuan, a misfortune guy who was reincarnated into the body of Shen Qingqiu, otherwise known as the antagonist of the original book, in "The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System," an alternate version of the book with more plot than "Proud Immortal Demon Way". It provides further Shen Qingqiu background information.
Shen Jiu never experienced his own happy ending, as the saying goes.
•••
Yuhong was startled awake when she felt something, or more precisely someone, pulling on her arm. She was unable to recall anything that occurred after getting on the bus, and the ringing in her ears wasn't exactly helping either. She tries to open her eyes, but it takes her a few tries before she is able to see a hazy dark figure and an unfamiliar setting. As her sights grew clearer, she was able to make out a long, silky brown haired woman with lovely gray eyes that had a mixture of innocence and worry in them.  She is no longer in the bus; instead, she is in a medium-sized room that is furnished with items that resemble those in manga, where the historical period is set in ancient China. She was lying on what seemed like a western four-poster bed.
"Ah, A-Ji! Finally, you're awake."
Yuhong offers the other woman a bewildered expression in response to the strange nickname she was given. She doesn't recall ever meeting the woman, yet the woman calls her with a familiarity that suggests they have been friends for a long time.
"Sorry, ma'am but I think you confused-"
Her surroundings were still, and the other female was standing still. She was somewhat startled as a blue screen suddenly appeared in front of her before she turned to face the screen.
【ƦᴇᴀᴅᴇƦ ʜᴀs ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴛƦᴀɴsᴘᴏƦᴛᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ "ᴘƦᴏᴜᴅ ꞮᴍᴍᴏƦᴛᴀʟ ᴅᴇᴍᴏɴ ᴡᴀʏ", ᴄᴜʀʀᴇɴᴛʟʏ ɪɴʜᴀʙɪᴛɪɴɢ xᴜᴀɴ ᴊɪ's ʙᴏᴅʏ. ᴅᴏᴇs ʀᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴠɪᴇᴡ ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴏᴅʏ's ɪɴғᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ】

Yuhong tapped on the 'ʏᴇs' selection, with just one tap the words in the screen quickly changed.

Yuhong was able to determine the name of the other female and her present body using the information the machine had provided. She was awakened and welcomed by a woman named Xiyin when she first entered the world of this tale.
"Why was Xuan Ji killed by Luo Binghe?" Yuhong enquired with the system in the hopes that it might provide her with some additional context.
【sʜᴇɴ ǫɪɴɢǫɪᴜ ɪɴᴠɪᴛᴇᴅ xuan ᴊɪ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴜᴘᴄᴏᴍɪɴɢ ᴅɪsᴄɪᴘʟᴇ ᴄᴇʀᴇᴍᴏɴʏ sᴇʟᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ǫɪɴɢ ᴊɪɴɢ ᴘᴇᴀᴋ. ᴀғᴛᴇʀ xᴜᴀɴ ᴊɪ ᴡᴀs sᴜᴄᴄᴇssғᴜʟʟʏ ɢᴀɪɴᴇᴅ ғɪʀsᴛ ᴘʟᴀᴄᴇ ᴅᴜᴇ ᴛᴏ ʜᴇʀ ǫᴜɪᴄᴋ ʀᴇᴀᴄᴛɪᴏɴ sᴘᴇᴇᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋs, sʜᴇ ᴡᴀs ᴏғғɪᴄᴀʟʟʏ ǫᴜᴀʟɪғɪᴇᴅ ᴀs ᴀ ᴅɪsᴄɪᴘʟᴇ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ǫɪɴɢ ᴊɪɴɢ ᴘᴇᴀᴋ. ɪɴ ᴀ ᴘᴇʀɪᴏᴅ ᴏғ ᴀʀᴏᴜɴᴅ 𝟸 ᴀɴᴅ 𝟷/𝟸 ʏᴇᴀʀs, ʟᴜᴏ ʙɪɴɢʜᴇ ᴍᴀɪɴ ᴘʀᴏᴛᴀɢᴏɴɪsᴛ ʙᴇᴄᴀᴍᴇ ᴀ ᴅɪsᴄɪᴘʟᴇ ᴡɪᴛʜᴏᴜᴛ ʀᴇǫᴜɪʀɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴀᴛᴛᴇɴᴅ ᴀɴʏ ᴄᴇʀᴇᴍᴏɴʏ. xᴜᴀɴ ᴊɪ ᴋᴇᴘᴛ ʜᴇʀ ᴄᴏʟᴅ-ғᴀᴄᴇ ᴄᴏɴᴛɪɴᴏᴜsʟʏ ᴄʀɪᴛɪᴢᴇ ʜᴀʀsʜʟʏ ᴏɴ ʟᴜᴏ ʙɪɴɢʜᴇ, sᴏᴍᴇᴛɪᴍᴇs ᴇᴠᴇɴ ɢᴏ ᴀs ғᴀʀ ᴀs ғᴏʀᴄɪɴɢ ʜɪᴍ ᴛᴏ ғɪɢʜᴛ ʜᴇʀ. ᴅᴜʀɪɴɢ ʜᴇʀ ʟᴀsᴛ ᴍᴏᴍᴇɴᴛ ᴀʟɪᴠᴇ, sʜᴇ ᴡᴀs ɢɪᴠᴇɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴄʜᴏɪᴄᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴇɪᴛʜᴇʀ ʙᴇ ᴀ ᴏʙᴇᴅɪᴇɴᴛ sᴇʀᴠᴀɴᴛ ᴏғ ʜɪs ʜᴀʀᴇᴍ ᴀɴᴅ sᴜғғᴇʀ ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴜᴍɪʟɪᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ᴏʀ ᴅʀɪɴᴋ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴏɪsᴏɴ. xᴜᴀɴ ᴊɪ, ᴛᴏ ᴋᴇᴇᴘ ʜᴇʀ ʀᴇᴍᴀɪɴɪɴɢ ᴅɪɢɴɪᴛʏ ᴅʀɪɴᴋᴇᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴏɪsᴏɴ, ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴏɪsᴏɴ sʟᴏᴡʟʏ ᴇᴀᴛ ᴀᴡᴀʏ ʜᴇʀ ғʟᴇsʜ ғʀᴏᴍ ᴛʜᴇ ɪɴsɪᴅᴇ-ᴏᴜᴛ ɢɪᴠɪɴɢ ʜᴇʀ ᴀ sʟᴏᴡ ᴀɴᴅ ᴘᴀɪɴғᴜʟ ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ】
This simply serves to highlight how vicious and evil the actual Luo Binghe truly is! Just when Yuhong had a chance to settle down, become friends with the book's characters, and spend the rest of her days as a minor figure she had no idea even existed in the story. But since she couldn't recall how she died, she had to be reincarnated. Wait, does it even count as reincarnation? She must now live out the remainder of her days as Xuan Ji before dying at the hands of the main character, Luo Binghe. Oh wait, perhaps she could be more considerate toward Luo Binghe than the actual Xuan Ji, and one can only hope that Luo Binghe will remember her generosity and spare her life.
It as if the system could read her mind, the system immediately changed the word on the screen.
【ᴜsᴇʀ ɪsɴ'ᴛ ᴀʟʟᴏᴡᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ᴀᴄᴛ ᴏᴏᴄ ᴏʀ ᴇʟsᴇ ᴜsᴇʀ ɪs ɢᴏɴɴᴀ ɢᴇᴛ ᴅᴇᴅᴜᴄᴛ ᴘᴏɪɴᴛs ғʀᴏᴍ ᴛʜᴇ sʏsᴛᴇᴍ. ɪғ ᴘᴏɪɴᴛ ᴡᴇʀᴇ ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴀᴄʜ ɴᴇɢᴀᴛɪᴠᴇ 𝟷𝟶𝟶𝟶𝟶, ᴛʜᴇ ᴜsᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ᴀᴄᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ ᴡɪʟʟ ʙᴇ ᴛᴇʀᴍɪɴᴀᴛᴇᴅ】
Terminated as in completely gone from existence? That seems like a bit of an overkill. For Yuhong, being slain is one thing, but having her existence completely obliterated... wouldn't that imply that her soul couldn't experience another reincarnation?
【ɪғ ᴛᴇʀᴍɪɴᴀᴛᴇᴅ ᴡᴇʀᴇ ᴛᴏ ʙᴇ ᴘᴜᴛ ᴏɴᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴜsᴇʀ, ᴛʜᴇ ᴍᴇᴍᴏʀʏ ʟᴏɢs ᴏғ ᴜsᴇʀ's ᴇxɪsᴛᴇɴᴄᴇ ᴡɪʟʟ sᴛɪʟʟ sᴛᴀʏ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ ғɪʟᴇs ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ sʏsᴛᴇᴍ. ʜᴏᴡᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴀs ᴛʜᴇ ᴜsᴇʀ ʜᴀᴅ ɢᴜᴇssᴇᴅ ᴏɴᴄᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛᴇʀᴍɪɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ᴘʀᴏᴄᴇss ғɪɴɪsʜᴇs, ᴛʜᴇ ᴜsᴇʀ's sᴏᴜʟ ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅ ɴᴏ ʟᴏɴɢᴇʀ ʙᴇ ʀᴇɪɴᴄᴀʀɴᴀᴛᴇᴅ. ᴅᴇᴄɪsɪᴏɴ ғɪɴᴀʟ】
Being too kind is therefore not an option. Yuhong let out a frustrated sigh that had a whiff of annoyance. She was not having any fun at all, and it was clear that the system was making things tougher than they needed to be.
"Wait, Xuan Ji is already a disciple of Qing Jing Peak?"

"Can I just avoid meeting Shen Qingqiu?"
Yuhong only needs to stay away from the setting of the plot and Shen Qingqiu in order to avoid seeing Luo Binghe, and if she did, she wouldn't be recommended for the disciple selection ceremony.

"A stream of other systems? So aren' t the only system around? Also I would gladly appreciated if you don't read my mind without my permission", Yuhong knew arguing with the system wouldn't work, but the fact that her every single thought is being monitored is basically a invasion of her privacy.

The blue screen vanished, leaving a frustrated Yuhong alone with her thoughts.
Clearly ignoring her inquiries, the system then abandoned her and left her to fend for herself. You crappy system, damn you!
She turned to check and noticed that the pause mode was still active.
"System, hey! You neglected to press the unpause button", the system stopped showing up, Yuhong yelled at nothing. She would be thought to be nuts for shouting at the air, if the environment weren't in pause mode.
Maybe she infuriated the system? Oh no, despite Shen Yuan cursing the system repeatedly, it continued to function. Therefore, it is implausible that the system actually abandoned her and put her surroundings on indefinite hold. Right??? Yeah, she wouldn't have to worry about being killed by Luo Binghe, which would seem good, but she doesn't want to live out the rest of her new life in a paused world!

Oh, thanks god...
Yuhong seems to have worried needlessly. She took a look around and saw that, as the system had predicted, there was a long, rectangular bronze mirror with lovely swirling curves on its sides. A beautiful woman with a slim build and dark black hair is reflected in the mirror. She is dressed in soft white fabric that suggests a clothing for a feminine cultivator.
She encircled a lengthy strand of hair with her thin finger. She was met with a long strand of black hair instead of her customary medium length straight brown hair. The hair was plainly considerably longer than Yuhong's typical hair length and had wavy ends without any broken ends. And finally she turned her gaze to the crimson eyes in the mirror. She noticed something dark near the wooden table in the backdrop out of the corner of her eye. Before moving toward it, she turned around with a her current body, spotting it was a black blindfold...
