one of my favorites is what my pfp is, i can’t find the original post but the artist is @nymre !! they have so much amazing zutara art that you can look through and i highly recommend you do. theyre insanely talented.

i also remember this one piece of fanart that was screencapped from awae but redrawn with zutara. I can’t find it now but if i can i’ll update this post with the link. I love anne and gilbert so to see one of their scenes with zutara was literally one of my favorite things ever.

there is so much zutara art i love but these are just a few of my favorites !! artists in the zutara community are so talented and so so gifted. i would give anything to be half as amazing as you guys are. i’ve always admired zutara artists, and artists in general. art is so beautiful but also very hard and takes so much grace and patience and creativity. i really hope you all continue to do what you love because your creations are so stunning.

since i’m reviving my account i would like to make some things clear:

so first, i was 15 when i started this account and i will certainly never claim to be perfect. if you see any of my past posts that were insensitive or made you uncomfortable and would like me to take it down, just message me. i absolutely never intended to post anything harmful, but i know that it is possible that i did unknowingly, and i may also have had internal biases i needed to unlearn that i may not have be aware of at the time. i will never fault anyone for educating me, i am always open to learning and unlearning things so don’t be afraid to message me. some of these quotes are nearly 7 years old, like i said i was 15 when i started posted them, and ive been inactive for years so i dont remember most of what i’ve posted.

secondly, i am avidly and actively pro palestine. i will not take any bullshit from zionists. if you are anything BUT pro palestine this is not the page for you. i do not want zionists interacting with me and if you are zionist and you comment on my page or message me you will be blocked immediately. there’s a lot of resources going around to help educate yourselves, to help palestinian families in gaza, and just overall to spread awareness about the genocide israel is committing in palestine. if you’d like me to post some here just let me know, but im mostly active on twitter and i repost and share a lot of info and sources on there.

third, this is for fun !! so if you don’t ship zutara, that’s fine, just don’t bring any ship war bullshit here. i’ve been around this fandom for a long time, and trust me, been there, done that with the petty shipping wars. i’m 22 now. i’m in college, i graduate in may, and i just don’t have time to get into all that. it’s very much a non issue so, just keep it chill, that’s all i ask.

and lastly, i did ship zutara in the cartoon. that being said, i haven’t finished the live action show and i’m also very much aware of the age gap between the actors who play the characters in the live action. when i post these, i am only posting about the characters, mostly with the animated version that i grew up with in mind. i will absolutely never ship the actors together or support people who do that. it’s sad that it has to be said, but i don’t want anything misconstrued and after seeing the way people treated walker scobell and leah sava jeffries, i feel the need to make that very adamantly clear.

If Appa dies before Aang, Aang grieves his death by dressing up in an Appa fursuit and roleplaying with Momo. Azula helps by dressing up in her purple platypus-bear with silver wings fursuit.

Aang and Momo have Appa fursuits, Azula has her furry oc's (400 ft tall purple platypus-bear with pink horns and silver wings) fursuit, Toph cosplays a badgermole, and Kuei made a bear costume in his grief after Bosco passed on. By some dark magic, Katara and Suki raised Appa from the depths of air bison-afterlife. Except instead of being the same age he was upon death, he is a baby at the beginning of his new life with all his old memories. After being moved by the bizarre and slightly traumatic furry assembly dedicated to him, he convinces Katara to make him a Momo costume. For the rest of their lives, he and Momo dress up as each other and make everyone go "awwwwww" every day. It is so wholesome that the mere sight of it erased Zuko's scars and brought back the entire Air Nomad civilization.

Inspired by the fursuit assembly, it is decided that there needs to be another punishment for war crimes and general dickishness. Ozai is paraded out in a humiliating suit of cheap, matted fur blended with cheap assorted sequins in the faint shape of a dragon as 'Shape of You' by Ed Sheeran accompanies him and he is shamed before the entire world. By the first two excruciating minutes of this torture, he wishes Aang or Iroh or Zuko or anyone really had just mercy killed him.

okay, time for me to talk about this as a fellow asian. this might be a hard to swallow pill, but...

every time you compare asian issues to black lives matter you’re discrediting your own movement 👌🏽 that much more. stop trivializing black trauma to bring attention to yours. it’s disgusting, and our oppression should not be tied to, compared to or measured to someone else’s. continuing to trivialize black struggles to uplift your own is literally just delegitimizing our movement. it hurts everyone except white people.

stop playing into the model minority, it’s a myth for a reason, get your head out of your ass, and do something about it instead of complaining about why the black community isn’t standing with us.

they are, you’re just not caring enough to look

it’s our movement. you can’t expect another racial minority to start a movement for us. people will follow if we do it right, but we have to start that conversation.

doing it “right” means you need stop saying things like “we stood with blm why aren’t they helping us”, “where’s the energy you had for blm for aaip” and “but blm right” as soon as someone from the black community does something wrong. black lives matter is a movement to end police brutality. all it means is that black lives matter. and they do. one person screwing up doesn’t change that they don’t deserved to be murdered for their race by a system put in place to protect them. the movement is not a comparison tool, and it’s not something you can use to measure how oppressed or not oppressed a group is, so stop. that kind of rhetoric is incredibly anti black, especially during black history month. 

no more using the phrase “racism against asians is so normalized”. it insinuates racism against others isn’t normalized, when it is. the reason our struggles seem less visible to society is because it’s done to uphold the model minority myth. like we’ve been saying, the model minority myth only benefits white people, and is a tool of oppression for everyone else, including asian people. it’s not a good thing. racism in general is normalized. hypervisibility doesn’t make racism against another group not normalized in society. 

we are owed nothing for being decent people for standing up for literal human rights. if the extent of your activism is simply to be able to throw your support in their face later on in order to guilt them into helping you when you need it, you are not an activist. you’re a piece of shit. activism is not transactional, and that kind of bullshit is so performative. if you consider yourself an activist, you do not get to pick and choose when you can be an activist and when not to be one when it’s convenient for you. that’s not how it works. 

people aren’t going to take our movement seriously if you care more about complaining about the lack of support, rather than doing something to gain support. comparing it to someone else’s trauma is not making your argument any more valid. stop doing that shit. i’m not saying it’s fair that this is how the world works, but it’s how the world works nonetheless and you have to be willing to adjust to whatever changes there are to make your voice heard. like i said before, people will follow us if we start it, we just have to do it the right way. no more disrespecting other people, no more comparisons to other groups, no more downplaying and devaluing other people’s trauma. poc are not a monolith, and our struggles are going to be different. comparing them, again, is only benefitting white people and white supremacy in the end. 

here’s a carrd regarding anti asian violence that was made. it has links to education sources, donations, mental health resources, etc. use your voice the right way. complaining about how no one is talking about these issues without providing the adequate resources to change them isn’t going to help anyone. we need to do better.
