DESCRIPTION: lithe and toned, but it’s not easy to tell through her uniform and bad posture. HISTORY: Born in a Bajoran Resettlement Camp in Federation space to Bajoran smuggler Bozaan Laska and AWOL Star Fleet engineer, Ltd Yamoto Tokimaru. She was left with her godparents and half-Cardasian half-brother after she was born as her parents went straight back to helping the Resistance on Bajor and could only visit when it was important for a mission. Ozu was 14 when Bajor was finally liberated. Her parents came back for only a year before they left again to join the Maquis. Ozu’s childhood friend, Joen Telona also left with her parents as Ozu stayed behind to help in the commune. A year later, Joen went missing (as she was in Chakotay’s crew when they were swept away to the Delta Quadrant), and 2 years after that, her mother was killed in the Cardasian purge of Maquis. And when she got the news about her mother, she left the commune and joined Star Fleet. She minored in Xeno-archeology and transporter operation in the Academy but mostly focused on the Diplomacy and Piloting related courses. Her first station was at Starbase 42, on the border of Gorn space, and then joined the Cerritos at the same time as Tendi.

PERSONALITY: depressed, stressed, caffeine addicted and almost zero self-esteem. Ozu at the core of her person is empathetic. She feels for people and it hurts her that there is so much suffering in the world and wants more than anything to help. She will sacrifice herself at the drop of a hat if she thought it would save a life. She also has no patience for bullies and abusers of power. An easy way for you to get on her shit list would to bad mouth the Maquis or her criminal father. She’s snarky as a defense mechanism to feign indifference, as a lie to herself to keep herself from hurting herself from caring too much. Ozu loves her disfunctional squad of Delta Shifters will help them and support them in anyway possible. Even if it looks like she’s upset.

I hope that the official XB3 artbook will be like the Monado Archive and include fun what-if scenarios, such as the parties of 1 and 2 meeting in the epilogue. If they do, I hope Shulk and Rex introducing their families to each other would go something like this.

I can't make people not post weird sexually explicit or parasocial things about streamers on the Internet, and I don't necessarily want to. Too much work for me.

But, I don't think it's so unfair to ask that they not go out of their way to force people like me to see it, which is what they're basically doing when they tag their very personal fantasies with #vinesauce and the like, and fail to add Community Labels to it. Including a hashtag is basically broadcasting it to anyone clicking on said tag, nobody says you can't say it but at least have the decency to not forcefeed it onto everyone remotely interested in the topic, especially if said group includes a lot of minors.

Me and some other fans have noticed an uptick in some disturbing behavior from some Vinesauce fans and I want to speak up about it. Please, stop making sexually explicit posts/art about Vinny and Joel. I know for a fact both of them have stated their discomfort about this content throughout the years, and yet I keep seeing people either drawing them in a sexual way or just posting fucked up shit about them on public platforms. If you feel the need to ask me for proof of them saying that, you are part of the problem. They shouldn't have to say that they don't want people making explicit posts about them, that should be common courtesy. If you don't want to stop, I can't stop you. But at least don't publically tag your delusional fantasies for everyone else to see. Keep it to yourself. These are real people, with real lives, and real feelings. Online fandom may have made it seem acceptable to act like this in recent years, but it's not. IT IS ESPECIALLY WRONG WHEN THEY HAVE ALREADY SET THEIR BOUNDARIES ABOUT IT BEFORE. It's disgusting that so many people think it's okay to go past someone's personal boundaries for their own pleasure. Real, living people are not your OCs that you can dress up and parade around in whatever way you want. If you want a character that you can make that kind of art about, make an OC. Find a TV show or movie. A book, a comic. Anything else. And, If someone asks you to stop doing something that makes them uncomfortable, listen to them. It's that simple. I recognize that many of you are young and have been conditioned to see this stuff as normal, but the sooner you grow out of that the better it will be for your own life and relationships. If you are a full ass adult and still think acting like this is okay, then I don't know what to tell you. It doesn't make sense that so many of you claim to be fans and care about people while repeatedly doing things that make them uncomfortable. They are regular people and deserve to be treated with the same respect as anyone else. If you would probably get in trouble for sexual harassment in real life, don't say that same shit online. Respect people's boundaries in the same way you'd want them to respect yours.

I’m gonna use this as an opportunity to share my belief that it’s not okay to treat and regard a real person like a sex object, no matter how far removed you think they may be from being affected by it. Imagine going online every day and seeing constant, aggressive, and in some cases super disrespectful expressions of thirst for you all over the place. Don’t do this to anyone, especially if you’ve never seen any indication that the person is cool with it. I won’t speak for Vinny here except to say he’s not cool with it, as very few people would be. Stop.

I put some ramblings about my Shulk/Fiora family theories and headcanons under the cut if anyone cares to see them.

Shulk/Fiora kid theories/headcanons in descending order of how seriously I take them:

Nikol - I mean...

Crys - Used to not like this, but I became a strong believer after Future Redeemed because of all the Alvis parallels and what FR reveals about Shulk, especially the Christlike traits, kindly mentor personality, and the silver eyes (which I used to take as proof against the theory). In my HC, he's the firstborn by several years and Ontos-flavored child due to Shulk's lingering connection with Alvis. Since Christmas doesn't exist on Bionis, Crys-mas is what they call his birthday.

Ethel - Wasn't the biggest fan at first, especially since it was mostly tied to Cammuravi being Pyra and Rex's child. But all the deliberate Fiora references with Ethel have me leaning a little more towards her being related than not. In my HC, she's the Pneuma-flavored child, twins with Nikol, and her silver hair comes from Fiora's lingering connection with Meyneth/Galea.

Noah - Very unlikely and I don't actually take it that seriously, but there's just enough connection and thematic parallels to Shulk that it's fun to think about. He's the baby of the bunch and either an adopted orphan or the Logos-flavored child, due to Shulk being explicitly identified as a Logos analogue due to his lingering connection with Zanza. My boring HC for his black hair is he got it from one of Fiora and Dunban's parents, while my crack HC is he got it because Malos hitched himself to Shulk's seed from beyond the grave because Logosbros or something.
