Kelpie or waterhorse. A Scottish creature of folklore. A shapeshifter that often took the form of a horse or pony. It would allow humans to mount it only to dash into a nearby river or loch, dumping the rider or in more malevolent cases,drowning and eating them. Only a liver would remain.
