So the anti KOSA discord I'm apart of is doing a large anti KOSA call in tomorrow. Where we call our Representatives and tell them to say no to KOSA. You can call through badinternetbills.com. This bill concerns everyone online and may lead to the dissolving of all of your favorite spaces online if you don't speak up and out against it

I've been having more thoughts about applying for euthanasia. And it's not something I'm excited about. It's more of relief. The same way someone with cancer feels about starting chemotherapy. No one wants to do chemo. No one looks forward to it. There's more so the relief of feeling like it's your last hope in trying to feel normal. I'll ask my therapist about it tomorrow

I love Nancy Wheeler sooooo much, not for the usual empowerment reasons but for how tragic her character is. My heart absolutely shatters for her every single time.

Nancy's story unfortunately is not about growth, it's about loss. The cold, detached, "girlboss" Nancy that emerged around season 2 isn't the result of her growing into a more mature/fully realized person. It's the culmination of her guilt, her grief, the loss of her innocence -- it isn't really Nancy. At least, not all of it is. Nancy is strong and powerful, now more than ever, hell yeah. But she is also a nerd, ambitious and smart and a little prickly. She likes the color pink, she has a wild streak and a romantic one, she thinks Tom Cruise is dreamy, she'll fight tooth and nail to see justice carried out. All of these things are present in season 1 and they're still present in season 4. They just look a little different now.

We see a young and carefree Nancy for approximately 2 episodes before the catalyzing trauma of her life occurs. She is not who she became as a result of that trauma.

If this sounds different than how you've always perceived Nancy, I encourage you to rewatch while keeping this in mind because it really is a gut-wrenching experience (in the best way)! The first time I watched through this lens it gave me a whole new appreciation for her character. But my point is, we should be rooting for Nancy to get back in touch with her younger self- the parts of her that knew love and hope- not to stay trapped in this shell of a girl who deflects her pain with a barrage of bullets.

Most advice on depression and being suicidal is really fucking bad. Honestly because I think people just do what they think they should do instead of taking the time to deconstruct what people actually need. They just do what they think they should do and refuse to modify it. They go by a checklist of "things you do with depressed person" and then just act like they did something.

Sejanus's character seems so simple to understand, yet so many people just don't somehow. the anger growing and growing, with so much to be angry at. so much eventually the anger turns to despair. he wasn't reckless, he was suicidal. he didn't go into the arena not thinking of the possibility he could die, that was the point. he said it himself, he went in there to die. if you look at the book, he was so angry, but the anger became too much, and it faded to a feeling of hopelessness and despair. there was so much to be angry at, and knowing you cant change much, feeling like you're alone in this, but trying anyways. and he found a way to help, when he went into the arena, it was a win, win. but someone saved him, and gave him hope to continue fighting. he put faith into the wrong persons hands, what else were you supposed to do there? he is not stupid, he is not reckless, but we are told that, because its through snows view. snow thinks hes a reckless idiot, but he isn't. hes just justifiably angry.

can we just talk about how august is one of the most well-written antagonist characters in modern media? he’s done some unforgivable things but you still see him as human. he’s not just an evil person to make the storyline more interesting, he’s so much more complex than that. from a writer’s perspective i absolutely love his character and his storyline so much. also props to malte gårdinger for playing him so well. wow. just. wow.
