I am fully convinced there is no interaction or question that would not warrant a Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail reference.

Gonna do some more lore cuz wow people actually are seeing it ^^
One of my favorite little not-species are Cyborgs. NOT to be confused with cyborgs. (The capital C is very important) A Cyborg is someone who is over 80% mechanical and doesn’t have their full CNS intact, rather replaced with mechanical bits. They’re often mass-produced through less than legal means cuz ya gotta get the people from somewhere. They have little-to-no rights and are not considered people by the general public. Usually they’re kept on a very tight leash but some do escape from whoever bought them. There are two gangs that are actually good to their Cyborgs and that’s The Snarebirds (the main gang) and Ivo’s gang (name still needs to be thought up) for the first one, it’s simply because of progressive thinking, with the other, it’s because Ivo beat all the odds and is a Cyborg gang boss. The rest treat Cyborgs very poorly. Some of my favorite characters are Cyborgs :3

The Greater Game is the continuation/expansion of The Gods Game, incorporating a vast multiverse. The Gods Game is the universe where it all started, the OG AU. This part of the story (the much larger part) will be animated, I’m not sure how it’ll all pan out but atm I’m planning on doing at least some part of the animating.
Every time a god in the AU has a major interaction with the mortal world, it creates an AU, an alternate reality with alternate possibilities and outcomes. Each AU can produce two more from it, and this continues for all eternity or until a godsforsaken AU is born. This can occur if the inhabitants are so different from the OG that the gods fear what would happen if they were to be introduced to the multiverse. It can also happen if the species are incapable of performing magic. All of the AUs that can communicate and connect with each other are all part of one large nation/alliance, following a strict set of rules and regulations. The AU where all AU’s end up connecting is known as the Crossroads AU, it was the first one to connect to the other AU’s and unfortunately, the government of this particular one is incapable of enforcing any of their laws in that AU specifically. Why? They let gangs take control as well as the Brokers. Brokers are Gods Champions who you can give your soul to in exchange for a particular service they offer. They are immensely powerful and not to be messed with. The AUs were an unintentional thing from the gods and as such, there isn’t a god of AUs and therefore, they can’t be managed or controlled. So this is where The Greater Game comes in, in every AU where their respective Gods Game was completed, producing a winner, there was a god that essentially bet on it. And if their AU produces one living champion, that champion will gain the powers of the god that bet on that AU. Why is this a thing? Well, the gods decided to pit these special champions against each other once all the gods either had their champions, or knew theirs wouldn’t be able to compete. It would be a massive battle that would have one winner that would be made the god of the AUs. Of course, no one in the AUs knows this and they don’t know there are as many gods as there actually are.
Most of the story is focused around the gang The Snarebirds and their story but also has another plot line about a special little trio that have their own adventures. The story isn’t intended for kids and will have strong language as well as very mature themes surrounding mental health and trauma. There’s also a huge amount of LGBTQ representation that will happen, written from the perspective of an LGBTQ person. There’s a wide variety of sexualities (aspec included), many different gender identities, as well as their own stories and relationships. I’m still developing the world and the large cast of characters so i still have a long way to go!
(For information about the gods game, i have a bit about it further down on my page)

A fly flew into my room. It didn’t know what it wanted and flew around aimlessly, bumping into things and running away from those who wanted out through the door. The door it was lookin for was wide open. Eventually it left after I chased it through the door.
People should describe random menial events like they’re inspirational. Makes things more interesting

My take was very much exaggerated for comedic affect but in all truth I understand where the problem really was in the show, they tried to squish everything together without giving their respective plots the time and individual attention that was needed in this case. So I completely agree with what you said but I am not ignorant of the actual faults in the show. They do mess with the plot for both sides but the Crows were undoubtedly the most affected by this poorly done plot change and the crows are the reason I watched that show and I find Alina to be a very boring character, at least in her books, due to the fact she follows the “basic YA fantasy strong female” trope that I’m so sick of. I knew the show would be about Alina and I was happy when the Crows were put in initially, until I saw how much they changed that really didn’t work with the story we all came to love. The plot was altered to be more about Alina, taking any focus away from the Crows, which I find to be a more interesting group with more interesting characters
See, the thing I hate so much about the Shadow and Bone show is that the plot was butchered for the sake of Alina. I wanted to see a group of mentally ill gay criminals drive a tank through a wall.
