Memories - Part 2: Damon ending
@targaryenmoony late but here🩷 i’ll post Stefan’s ending soon!
Ever since you and Damon shared that dance, things have been…different, to say the least. You two became closer, friends even. He cared about you, and even with both of your hearts being broken, you two were slowly fixing it, together. Memories of that night flooded your head, you couldn’t stop thinking about what he said.
“I hate this” you remember saying. “I hate this feeling, this aching my heart feels. It’s like…”
“A wound is opened every time you see them together. Been there, done that.“ Damon says sarcastically, but you hear the sad sigh he makes right after he said it. He looks at you, his blue eyes holding more emotion than he’s ever shown. His gaze is caring, though. Filled with fondness, as if he understood your situation better than anyone.
“It does get better, y’know” He adds, seeing the face you made after his comment. He spoke from experience, you would be able to tell even if you didn’t know him. “One day” he continues, “you’ll meet someone incredible, that excites you and consumes you. And then you’ll have forgotten all about stupid Stefan”. You can’t help but smile as he says it, unsure if it’s just to make you feel better.
But now, as Damon spins you around in the ballroom, his words are all you can think about. Because he was right, you did move on. You didn’t feel the ache you used to feel when seeing Stefan and Elena, the same you felt a year ago in this same ballroom when you and Damon watched Stefan and Elena dance.
“You seem to be in deep thought, what’s on your mind?” Damon asks, his blue eyes meeting yours.
“Remember what you said last year while we danced?” You ask, still looking him in the eye. Even though you feared the rejection, you didn’t want to live the same “what if” thought you had with Stefan. “You said that i would’ve moved on without even realizing” you continue, seeing his eyes strike with realization, and if you looked deep enough you would’ve seen jealousy.
“Ooh, who’s the lucky guy…or gal” Damon asks, giving his signature side smirk. “Do tell, are they as charming as I am?” He teases. You stay silent, looking at him. He raises a brow, but his smirk is replaced by a smile and very flushed cheeks once his face strikes with realization. He kisses you, one of his hands moving towards your waist and the other to your cheek as he kissed you, passionately. And you felt better than ever, kissing Damon Salvatore.

Percy Jackson is everything. He is a hero, a fighter and a savior. But most importantly, he is your best friend. Your loyal, kind, funny and reckless best friend, who would do anything for you. He carried the sky because of you, fought Kronos with you and risked his life for you. Because you are friends.
Oh how that word hurt. The world thinks that you are friends. They do not know about the dimples when he smiles, or about the slight freckles on his face in the sun, or how he always become more vivid around the sea. They don’t know about the boy who shows up at your cabin in need of comfort after a nightmare, or how he calms you down when anxiety hits. How he noticed every single habit and pet peeve you had. How you both looked at each other with so much love.
And they also do not know about the Percy that sneaks out just to see you in your cabin so he can listen to you. The same Percy who was there with you, being a good friend.
“You are so wrong! They loved each other, seaweed brain! That’s why it was so hard for her to let go” You explained.
“But it didn’t matter if they were on a break! He cheated, she should have slapped him in the face!!” Percy whined. “It’s ridiculous, why would she put herself in that position?”
He complained.
“You really don’t know anything about love do you?” You laughed at his antics. Rachel loved Ross, that is why she couldn’t seem to leave him, but Percy refused to understand. It was completely immature, but you felt proud of his little feminist moment. And you couldn’t help noticing how passionate his face become when he started to talk about how Rachel deserved better. You smiled at Percy, feeling your heart flutter a little bit every time he looked at you. You gazed into his ocean eyes, noticing how they had waves, just like the actual ocean.
Suddenly, a white pillow hits your face.
“Ouch” You whine. “You are sooo dead Jackson”
“Sorry, but you were starring”
“I was gazing!”
“It’s creepy”
“It’s romantic”
You blushed, trying to see his reaction. Why wasn’t he acting like you flirted with him, were your feelings not returned, did he think of you in a platonic way? You felt the tears start burning, but before you could even move, he said
“You call that romantic? No wonder why your crush doesn’t take a hint” Your crush didn’t take hint, because if he did, he would know you talked about him every time that you mentioned that your crush made you feel like home, or when you talked about his beautiful eyes and smile, or even when you attempted to flirt. Your heart sank a bit with his answer. Why didn’t he love you the way you love him?
“What would you do if you wanted your crush to notice?” You asked, trying to hide the heartbreak.
“Well, for starters, I would look them in the eye.” He said, turning to face you. “Then, I would do this” He said, leaning in. Before you could process what happened, his lips were already touching yours. He tasted like saltwater, but his soft lips felt like home.
“That is a terrible strategy” You said, blushing while trying to hide a smile.
“Do one better then” He teased.
“Alright, I would simply be direct. Percy, i like you”
“Really? That’s it?” He smirked.
“No, then I would kiss him” I said, pulling him in again.
“Okay your strategy is definitely better” He smiled. “But I don’t think you appreciated my strategy enough. I have to do it one more time so you can really absorve it”
“Yeah I agree, I should definitely try again” You smiled at his antics, while pulling him in again.
The world didn’t know about that Percy, your Percy.

Summary: You're a busy doctor and one night coming back from your midnight duty call your car breaks down. There was no sign of anybody near and suddenly a hot stranger comes to the rescue and the night changes into something else.

It was nearly midnight, and you were returning from the hospital after treating an emergency case. Being a doctor came with all the challenges you can ever imagine; late night duty calls, irregular sleeping hours, and of course no time for yourself.
You found comfort as you looked up while driving your car at the blanket of stars that stretched to infinity and the pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky. Convertible cars had their perks.
The roads were empty as you were driving through the woods. Unexpectedly your car stopped. You tried everything you could but honestly, you were not good at this arena of cars, and to add to the struggles there was extraordinarily little light so couldn't see anything.
Your innumerable efforts bore no fruits and you decided to walk home and pick your car up in the morning with a mechanic. You picked up your phone to call 911 to inform them about your car and you suddenly heard a sound from the bushes. You thought to yourself that it must be an animal going around in the woods but to your surprise, a man appeared from the woods. Without giving it a thought, you instantly thought of asking for help from him although he was a stranger lurking in the woods at this time who could potentially be a serial killer. You asked him "Hey! could you please help me with my car, it doesn't seem to start. I have tried everything I know. Could you look at it?"
"Yeah, sure!" the man replied.
He tried to ignite the engine with the keys, and you said, "Tried that a
million times, but it won't start."
"Then let's look at the engine, sexy car by the way" the man commented and added, "Gotta say you have a fine taste in cars."
"Well, I have a fine taste in men too" you replied.
The man couldn't say anything but smirk. He approached the bonnet of the car to check the engine and meanwhile you thought to yourself that you just flirted with a man trying to help you. Well, you were not that type but it wasn't your fault that this man was undeniably hot.
He wore a pair of denim jeans and a black V-neck t-shirt which perfectly hugged his body flaunting his toned arms and revealing the best part of his chest.
"Do you have some cloth? I want to wipe off the dust from the engine."He asked.
"No, not really," you replied.
The man said "No problem" while taking his shirt off.
This man was trying to fix your car and kill you at the same time. You could not even handle him all clothed and now there he was standing in front of you shirtless fixing your car. All you were doing was helping him with light and staring at his flawless body.
You were lost in the maze of his insanely perfect abs and then the snaps which lead you to come to reality. He smirks and says, "If you're done checking me out, feel free to check
your car."
Your face turned red as you blushed hard.
"Let's get this baby working," said the man gesturing towards the driving seat.
You approached the driving seat and tried to start the car. Finally, someone's efforts worked, and your car was ready to go.
"Thank you so much, Mr. ...."
"Damon. Damon Salvatore." The man stretched his arm for a handshake.
"Dr. Y/L/N. Y/N Y/L/N," you said by shaking his hand.
Damon was walking away, and you called him "Damon! would you like a ride home?" He agreed and jumped in the passenger seat.
The ride was going silently until Damon shot a question at you, "What were you doing out at this bewitching hour of the night?"
"Well, I could ask you the same question, Mr. Salvatore."
"You can but then who would have helped you If I weren't there?"
You sighed and said "Fair enough. You see I am a doctor; it was a duty call. Now you tell me?"
"Nothing just wandering around"
You just noticed something and asked, "Did you just say bewitching hour>
Why would you say that?" "Well, you know vampires and all"
"I don't believe in all that stuff you see."
Damon did not say anything about that any further and changed the topic saying "You know, you should know how to take care of your car. Maintenance is important." You replied, "I know, but I am not good at this maintenance stuff. You know what we could do, you could give me your number so whenever my car needs maintenance, I'll call you."
Damon smiled and said, "you're good at this."
You looked at him innocently and asked, "At what?"
"Flirting, doctor."
"Well, I am good at some other stuff too" you stopped the car in front of his house. Damon stares deeply into your eyes and crashed his lips onto yours.
You readily allowed his tongue to enter your mouth and both of your tongues were fighting for dominance.
This is what not getting laid for a long time does to you. Leaves you with nothing but desperation.
You both started making out, his hands gripped onto your waist tightly holding you close, and your hands traced his perfect body.
You broke the kiss to regain your breath. You were panting as if you ran miles in one go.
"Can I bite you?" Damon whined asking for consent in desperation. You simply nod as kinky bites were always a green flag for you. As his teeth dig into your skin a mixture of pain and pleasure hit you eventually turning into pleasure.
You started moaning and as his teeth dug deeper you could feel his fangs, it did not take you long enough to realize that it wasn't any other sexual bite.
It was a vampire bite, and he was feeding from you. All these years you fought with all the people who were the 'believers'. Debating, arguing, all gone in vain. The night changed into something else.
You wail in pain "Damon stop, you're hurting me."
Damon didn't stop until you push him away with your arms. You were surprised at the sight in front of you. His face was covered with blue-black veins and his eyes looked dangerous. This was not the man you were trying to flirt with. Realizing that you were losing your consciousness Damon bites his wrist and feeds you
with his blood.
As he fed you his blood you gained consciousness, and the pain was going away eventually. The bite marks were slowly healing. All these years of your medical experience felt useless at this time.
As you recovered you started at Damon with teary and confused eyes trying to say something. But before you could say anything Damon stared deeply into your eyes, and you saw his pupils dilating. He said "You will not remember any of this. All you'll remember is that you dropped me off here and drove straight to your home." Damon shut his eyes to break the eye contact, as he shut his eyes a tear rolled down from his eye to his cheek. He felt bad for hurting you this way.
Damon kissed your forehead and said, "I am so sorry Y/N, you do not deserve this you're a good person." and in a blink of an eye, he disappeared. You drove your car back home, something felt different, but you had no idea about it.
All you hoped for was to see Mr. Damon Salvatore again to continue the flirting game.

Or In which reader used to date Stefan and can’t believe he moved on.
Stefan Salvatore was the biggest mistake of your life. He was like a drug, a drug that you couldn’t get enough off, and when it ended, left you with a shattered heart.
He was your soulmate, your best friend and your home. You’ve known each other since birth, you knew all his stories by heart and he knew yours. But soulmates aren’t always lovers. You knew that. But every time he talked about her, you felt like your heart was about to explode. Her, Elena Gilbert. She was kind, beautiful and he loved her with every fiber in his body. Stefan loved Elena, and you loved Stefan. When you were both young, human, and he was in love with Katherine, you used to think time wasn’t in your favor and that sooner or later he would see her true colors. But with Elena was different. She wasn’t a lying, manipulative, self centered vampire who used him and his brother. She loved him, perhaps just as much as he loved her. Just as much as you loved him.
Stefan loved you once, before Katherine, Elena and vampirism. Long ago, when he was your Stefan. The same Stefan that used to bring you flowers and help you sneak out to watch the stars. The same Stefan that called you his, that promised that you both would get married and leave that town. The same Stefan that died because of Katherine Pierce, even before vampirism. You believed that he didn’t love you anymore because of the compulsion. When he died and became a vampire, he turned you. But he wasn’t the same, and his feelings for you died with his humanity.
You were by his side. Pulling him from the edge, holding him when the guilt became too much, helping him feed. You were there. But it wasn’t enough. He liked you, sure, but he loved Katherine. And now he loves Elena. You are still by his side. After all this time, you still can’t leave him, hoping that he would realize his mistake and come back to you. You couldn’t fall in love with anyone, couldn’t move on but couldn’t leave him.
You wanted to hate him. You wanted to hate him for breaking your heart, for requesting that you stayed by his side. But you couldn’t. That’s what love does to people. It consumes them. But love isn’t fair. And every time you looked at Stefan, you think of what you could have been, what you should have been, what you would have been if you were still human. And it hurt, so you decided to hate Elena instead.
“Hating Elena won’t make it better, you know?” Damon. Perhaps the only person in the world that understood that feeling more than you. He stood by your side, while you watched the two dance, offering you a drink.
“ How do you do it? Pretend that it doesn’t bother you?” You asked, accepting the drink and looking at him. You knew how he felt, and you could tell that it hurt him as much as it hurt you.
“You’ll get used to it” He sighted. And you two stood there, watching the love of your life’s fall in love with each other.
“ It must be hard.” He said, you stared at him once again. He continued “ being friendzoned and all. You have to pretend to like him the way he likes you. When you pretend to hate, people don’t care about how you feel, so it’s way easier.”
You sigh. Looking at Damon’s blue eyes, all you could see was sadness. He pretended not to care so it hurt less. But it doesn’t. You knew that feeling all too well.
Stefan had his arms wrapped around Elena while he spinned her around the ball room. He was smiling in a way that you couldn’t make him. He was happy and you couldn’t let your sadness ruin it for him. They both laugh about a comment Elena made. You wished you couldn’t hear it. You also wished you couldn’t hear Damon’s sad sigh. Stefan’s hand moved to Elenas waist, you felt like you couldn’t breathe any more. Your heart broke once more. They were looking at each other with such love that it hurt. You almost forgot about the man that was by your side. If you felt bad Damon must have felt a million times worst. He lost the girl of his dreams to his brother, the person who made him the most insecure, for the second time.
You reached for his hand and surprisingly, he gave it to you. You squeezed his hand tightly, in a comforting manner, telling him that you understood. He put his arm around your shoulder, pulling you close trying to comfort you as well. In a way, his presence was already making everything better. And you stood there, comforting each other.
“Y’know, Stefan is really stupid. He never should have let you slip away.” He whispered in your ear, making you grin.
“Mhm, he is really stupid” Damon continued. “ He is so stupid that he is dancing with the wrong girl. Can you believe that? If a person that awesome was in love with me I could never let them go. “
“ Elena is really stupid too.” You said, making him smirk.
““They are both a really stupid couple” you concluded.
Damon, whose hand was still round your shoulder, grabbed your arm and spinned you around.
““Well, this is still a party and I’m really drunk so let’s dance until we can’t remember why we were sad”
““We were sad? I thought we didn’t care about them!” You joked, and Damon rolled his eyes trying to hide his smirk
You smiled, and let him spin you around. Stefan was still the man you were in love with, but that won’t make you and Damon have less fun.

I love reading, fashion, cooking , singing, music, rainy days and drawing! I’m a cheerleader and I enjoy dancing!! I’m deffo a dog person although I love cats and think they are so cute!! My biggest phobia is death and I can get really protective of my loved ones. I hate bullies and people who misjudge others, and my biggest pet peeve is chewing with an open mouth the noise really annoys me.
