Chapter 2
The brothers' apartment
On getting to the house, the boys groaned at the same time. Everyone was exhausted from preparing for the concert for weeks and finally executing it. The effect of those restless days came at the same time, knocking them down.
Jungkook laid flat on the carpet, breathing through his mouth. He just wanted to sleep for two days straight. "Oh, gods...ugh!" He groaned tiredly.
Yoongi sprawled in the couch, hands rubbing both sides of his head. His muscles were aching, his eyes hurt, everywhere was on fire. "Shiiiibal, I'm going to die."
Jin looked just as tired but he had more control over his expressions compared to his brothers. He carefully placed his laptop on the coffee table and walked to the kitchen to get bottles of water for everyone.
He entered the kitchen opened the almost empty fridge and took three bottles of water before walking back to the living room.
"Kook, drink some water." He tapped his little brother's shoulder to wake him up.
The youngest managed to sit up and take the water from his Hyung. He nodded in appreciation as he drank.
"Yoongs, here, water." He tapped his best friend's cheek.
Yoongi opened his eyes and collected the water from him and put it on his mouth without uncapping it.
Jin rolled his eyes and took the bottle from him. "You overworked for months, now your brain can't even work properly. I warned you to take it easy." He uncapped the bottle and helped Yoongi to drink up.
Jin emptied his own bottle and picked up the other two. He took them back to the kitchen; they'd wash, refill them and put them back into the fridge. No plastic waste around here.
He had one more task before they'd go to sleep. He needed the boys to freshen up. They oozed of sweat and alcohol. Their cheap perfumes had long faded.
"Guys we need to freshen up if we want to sleep like babies tonight. Come on, everyone get up."
Jungkook and Yoongi mumbled their disagreement but they still followed the eldest to the bathroom.
Their was just one bathroom and they shared at the same time when they were in a rush. Just like the morning when they were rushing to get to BIFF square and start setting up the stage, they showered together.
By the time water rushed down their bodies, slumber had cleared from everyone's eyes and they quietly washed themselves.
Yoongi finished first and went to his room to get dressed.
When Jin finished, he waited for his brother to finish and they went to their shared room.
Yoongi had first paid for the two bedroom apartment when he moved from his hometown in pursuit of his music producing career. He used to have a roommate who later got married and got his own place.
Yoongi was the only child of his father. His father was friends with Jin and Jungkook's mother. The man had died few days after giving birth to Yoongi.
Jungkook's mother took the infant at that time and raised him alongside Jin who was two years old. Four years later, she had Jungkook and the three boys grew up together as siblings.
It took Jin sixteen years to understand that Yoongi had different parents but it didn't change anything. They were brothers for life.
"Kook, are you sleeping like that?" Jin asked his brother who was laying on the bed naked.
"Mhm, I am too lazy to wear clothes now."
Jin threw him a short. "Wear that at least."
Jungkook put on the short while his Hyung wore a pink pyjamas set.
Yoongi opened the door and peeked in to check if they were sleeping. "Do you guys want tea? I'm making a cup for myself."
Jungkook nodded. "Yes, please."
"Me too." Jin agreed.
Yoongi nodded and gently shut the door. He returned with the cups of tea, handing them to his brothers. They sat on the bed and drank quietly, sighing in relief as the liquid hit their throats.
"How are the views online?" Yoongi asked Jin.
"It was 110 the last time I checked."
Jungkook's eyes widened. "110? That's amazing."
"That's great. You're doing great with the online publicity and Jungkook outdid himself tonight. That performance was better than some big-bucks concerts out there." Yoongi praised them.
"Like you're not the genius behind all these. We wouldn't even leave the village if you didn't convince us. Yoongs, we owe you all the praises."
"Yoongi Hyung, you're the reason I can do all these. You take your time to produce my songs for me. I just write and sing but every other thing is you and you don't sleep until it's done. I love you so much, Hyung."
"Aw, Jk. That's what I gotta do for my little bro."
Jungkook turned to Jin and rested his head on the elder's shoulder. "Hyungie, I also thank you for helping me to have a presence. You spend all your money on me and my dream. I love you so much. I love you both a lot."
"This brat will make me cry." Jin sniffled.
"Group hug?" Yoongi suggested.
They put their cups on the small table beside the bed and hugged each other.
"I'll go to sleep now." Yoongi stood up, ready to take the cups and leave.
Jin called him back. "Yoongs, remember what we talked about in the car."
"Oh, that." Yoongi put down the cups and sat back on the bed. "Jungkook, we want to tell you something."
The youngest nodded. "Ok, I'm listening."
"It's about your boyfriend."
"Ok, what about him?"
Yoongi cleared his throat. "I'm not saying this to make you end your relationship with him, but I want you to understand that the music industry is complicated and if you intend to have a healthy relationship, you have to protect it and keep it away from the public. You might say that you're not popular now, but surprisingly, fans dig up information and pictures you never imagined. The way you parade your affection and...touch each other in public should be minimized."
"W-we don't touch each other in public."
Jin scoffed. "Not you thinking we didn't see the position you were in back at the field."
"Ok, we won't hold each other like that in public again."
"Did you tell him about our plan to move to Seoul?" Jin asked.
"But Yoongi hyung said we might not need to move if my new song goes viral."
Jin turned to Yoongi, annoyed. "You're giving him hopes. Look, we're moving to Seoul. There are more opportunities there."
"What do you mean, I'm giving him hopes? Don't you believe that the song would go viral?"
"Doesn't mean, we won't move as planned."
"It's fine, Hyung. I heard your advice."
"The boy is cute and I like him, that's why I don't want you to break his heart. Before you too get so attached, you better clarify him on your journey in the industry. Tell him about our relocation too." Jin added.
"Yes, Hyung."
Taehyung's home
Thank the gods, there was a spare key in the flower pot outside. Taehyung had used it to enter the house. He ran to his room and locked the door.
He'd definitely get punished but he didn't want it to be that night. He was too tired from screaming and jumping at Jungkook's concert. The last thing he needed was to cry the sleep.
Taehyung undressed and went to shower. He had classes tomorrow and...
"Oh, hell no. My uniform." He remembered that he didn't wash his uniform during the weekend. He had dedicated the weekend to Jungkook, helping him to prepare for the concert. He washed up quickly and put on Jungkook's shirt that he had taken some months ago.
He took his uniform from the hamper and tiptoed downstairs to the laundry room.
The machine started working and Taehyung sat on a stool, scrolling on his phone. He decided to edit some videos of Jungkook for his fan account.
Lost in the task at hand, he didn't notice when his father quietly entered the laundry room. The man stood behind him and peeked into his device. Seeing where his son had gone to, he frowned. He never liked Jungkook.
Mr Kim angrily grabbed his son's hair and pulled him off the stool.
"Dad, stop!" Taehyung cried, trying to release himself from the harsh grip.
The man pushed him down to the floor. "This is where you went to sell yourself to that loser?
Taehyung glared at his father even though he was scared out of his mind. The man was a psychopath who didn't think before doing anything. He was capable of hitting Taehyung until the boy passed out. It would be fruitless to explain things to him or try to make him believe the truth.
Taehyung had long learned how to match his father's energy and save himself. He would talk back or fight back sometimes before the old man would leave him alone.
"Stop it, Dad. I'm not a child anymore. I just went to support my boyfriend." He screamed in his father's face.
"Support that loser?" He laughed mockingly. "A boyfriend who can't pay your bills and take you on good dates. Does he have a car? Bet his parents still feed him. You stupid child, always bringing me shame."
"I don't care what you say. It's not your business."
Mr Kim delivered a punch to his son's mouth, breaking his upper lip instantly. "What's not my business, huh?"
Taehyung covered the bleeding area and moved away to a corner, crying.
"What's not my business?" The man growled, threatening to hit him again.
"Nothing." Taehyung mumbled.
"Turn off that machine and go to your room, idiot." He kicked the boy's leg before making his way out of the laundry room.
Taehyung held on to his lip to control the bleeding. He turned of the machine and slowly walked to his room. His uniform was not washed and he would probably be sent back home by his teacher.
School
Jungkook and Taehyung attended the same vocational school. While the artist studied Diploma in Music, Taehyung studied Diploma in Hairdressing.
The school was were they met for the first time almost two years ago. Jungkook had enrolled a month after Taehyung. He entered the wrong class being Taehyung's class. It was when the teacher started talking about hair and styling that he realized he was not in a music class at all.
Taehyung helped him find his class. They clicked almost immediately. Jungkook started going closer to the younger one since he had no friends yet. Three months later, they started dating.
They were now in final year and we're looking forward to graduating together but Jungkook was moving to Seoul and he might not get to graduate with his mates.
Jin had already informed the Dean about their plans to move and he agreed to give Jungkook his certificate  earlier than the others.
The artist was going to collect certificate, happy to be done with school but he was very worried about how to tell his boyfriend that he was leaving not just the school but the city.
Jungkook entered the school premises and looked around for Taehyung. The younger had told him that he was already in school.
He was about to call Taehyung when he felt the boy's soft hands around his waist from behind.
Jungkook smiled and turned around. "Hey baby, how..." His brows furrowed when he saw the cut on Taehyung's lip. "What's this?"
The younger giggled. "You won't believe I fell from the stool while washing my uniform." He lied.
"Oh, shit. Why?"
"Can't you see, I'm not on my uniform. I forgot to wash it and I fell asleep while washing it last night."
Jungkook's squint his eyes. He was going to say something. He knew that wasn't a fall. "Your dad..."
"Baby, your views are going up." He covered up, not wanting to talk about his father. "I think you should try an online concert. Everything's done online these days, you should tap into it."
Jungkook's eyes roamed the boy's body and he sighed. "I'll tell my Hyung about it."
"You got class now?"
"Um, yes, I have vocal training first."
"I'll see you after class then."
"Mhm,"
Taehyung kissed him on the cheek and went to class while Jungkook went to the Dean's office.

Chapter 1
Taehyung's home
"This should be good." He turned around to check himself out in the mirror again. "Good," he smiled and smacked his ass.
Wearing a two dollar crop top and shorts wasn't something to worry if his boyfriend would like it or if people would bother about the price. The one thing that Taehyung had to worry about was to get past the living room, as in, sneak out of the house without getting caught.
If he missed Jungkook's concert that night, he'd have a heart attack, and he'd cry forever for missing his boyfriend's first ever show.
Not even the entire gods of hell could stop him that night.
He crossed his bag over his shoulder and picked up his white sneakers, opting to sneak out barefooted.
All the lights in the living room where turned off.
"Very good." He mumbled to himself as he tiptoed to the living room, making his way toward the door.
Suddenly, his father was rushing to him. The man wasn't sleeping after all. He took off his slippers and threw at Taehyung.
"Where do you think you're going to?" The man's groggy voice resounded in the space.
Taehyung dodged the slippers and ran to the door, pulling it hastily and running into the street with his sneakers in hand as if he was thrown out of the house.
"Get back here, Taehyung!" He could hear his father's voice echoing in the street.
"Go to sleep, dad. Leave me alone." He rolled his eyes and set his shoes down to put them on, looking back to make sure his father was chasing after him.
"You better not come back to this house, you dirty prostitute!" The man shouted before shutting the door.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." The boy mumbled as he walked down to the bustop.
He would probably get hit by his father the next day but it would be worth it. He'd gladly receive the beating for Jungkook's sake.
Ten minutes later, it didn't look like he'd get a vehicle by just standing there. He opened his app and booked a ride.
While waiting he brings out a lollipop from his cross bag and unwraps it before popping it into his mouth. He'd taste sweet when Jungkook kissed him.
The ride shows up 2 minutes later.
"I'm going to Jungkook's concert." He told the driver.
The middle-aged man gave him a confused look. "Who is Jungkook?"
Pfft, of course no one knew Jungkook except for his two elder brothers, twenty-two fans and of course ,Taehyung who was his number one biggest supporter. It didn't matter, Jungkook was born to be a star and he'd become one very soon.
The whole world better watch out for his boyfriend.
"Who's Jungkook? Are you going or not?" The driver asked him again.
Taehyung blinked and smiled. "Just take me to BIFF square."
He got in the car and they zoomed off to his favorite artist's concert.
BIFF Square
The small venue was already lit, ready for an electrifying performance. The stage had been set up by Jungkook, Jin—his older brother and Yoongi, their family friend.
Colorful lights adorned the backdrop. They were cheap stuff but their budget was tight and they couldn't spend money on more expensive equipment. They wouldn't be able to cover rent for their apartment or even buy food had they spent more on the concert.
This was just a way to create publicity for Jungkook and get people to try his music. It wouldn't be an easy journey for a young upcoming artist to blow up and top the charts without knowing anyone in the industry. But they had to start somewhere.
Well, Jungkook knew no one. They had no money to do the necessary promotions needed. Even with Jin as Jungkook's manager, the elder had no connections to link up with his brothers talent.
The sound system hummed with anticipation, and a table displayed neatly arranged merch and freebies for the fans.
An hour before the concert, Jungkook paced the stage nervously. He was worried out of his mind that no one would show up.
What if everything turned out to be a waste of time and money?
What if no one showed up?
Some people commented on his posts that they would attend because he was handsome. Those were not his true fans. The real ones loved his music first before his appearance.
Jin approached the artist, handing over a microphone, "Yoongi said that you should do a sound check."
Jungkook nodded and took the mic. Jin noticed the sadness on his brother's face and pat his shoulder.
"Kook. Everything will be fine."
Jungkook, however, felt a wave of doubt. He couldn't bring himself to open his mouth, his energy had drained.
Yoongi focused on technical details to ensure that the sound and light worked fine. He looked up at the brothers and shook his head.
"Come on, Jungkook, test the mic! We're doing this, whether there's a crowd or not. Jin, leave him alone to test the damn mic."
Jin rolled his eyes and moved away from Jungkook.
The youngest hesitated, then reluctantly took the mic, feeling the cool metal in his hand. The empty venue echoed with his voice as he began to sing.
About thirty minutes later, Taehyung entered the venue. Jungkook noticed him and, with a wide smile, continued singing until the end of the mic check before rushing over to embrace his boyfriend tightly.
Jungkook wrapped his arms around the boy's waist, squeezing the flesh softly. He visibly relaxed in Taehyung's arms. That boy always brought magic to him, always took away his anxiety; that was his backbone right there, and he felt like he could achieve anything with Taehyung by his side.
"Sorry, I'm late," Taehyung whispered, his lips finding Jungkook's in a gentle kiss.
Jungkook kissed him back and licked his lips, tasting the cherry flavored lip gloss on his boyfriend's lips.
"You're right on time, baby. I missed you. I was so scared your father wouldn't let you come."
"The gates of hell couldn't even stop me." He scoffed.
"Thank you so much, baby."
Breaking away, Taehyung offered, "Is there anything I can do to help?"
Jungkook shook his head, "Everything's set. I'm just... nervous, Tae. No one's shown up yet." He bit his lower lip.
Taehyung hugged him reassuringly, planting another kiss on his lips. "If no one shows up, I'm going to their houses to drag them out here."
They giggled and held hands. Jungkook stared at the boy with twinkling eyes, falling in love all over again.
Yoongi and Jin simultaneously cleared their throats, drawing their attention.
Taehyung detached from Jungkook, going up on stage to greet them.
Jin complimented Taehyung's outfit, and Taehyung returned the compliment with a playful grin.
Yoongi, however, eyed Jin from head to toe, shaking his head.
The elder was wearing all pink, his entire back was open and his smooth, white skin shined sweetly under the stage lights.
Beautiful.
Yoongi blinked twice to call himself back to order and put back his attention on the sound system. This was not the right time to stare at a beautiful male. He shouldn't even stare at his best friend like that.
An hour and thirty minutes later, the small venue had gathered about ten enthusiastic attendees, and Jungkook couldn't have been happier. Grateful smiles spread across his face as the concert started, and he sang his heart out, feeding off the energy of the crowd. Yeah, ten was a crowd.
In the forefront, of course Taehyung, the president of Jungkook's loyal fan club stood with his phone out, capturing every moment of his boyfriend's performance. He cheered louder than anyone, encouraging the people to make noise and support Jungkook.
The artist sang with passion, his love for music could be seen in the way he'd momentarily shut his eyes and place his hand on his chest while singing. Sometimes he'd stare directly into Taehyung's eyes, dedicating the songs he'd written about their love to him.
As the final notes faded away, Jungkook was exhausted, he thanked his fans and promised them good music.
The artist finally went behind the stage to take a moment to catch his breath and drink water.
Yoongi diligently packed up the equipment, rolling up wires, shutting down the sound system and lights.
While Jin was still on his laptop as he monitored the videos he had posted about the concert. Fifty-one live views wasn't bad.
Taehyung was a social butterfly and as the President of Jungkook's fan club, he moved among the ten fans, sharing merch with a warm smile. He even collected their numbers, planning to add them to a group to keep the connection alive beyond the concert.
The small turnout didn't spoil the spirit of the night; instead, it became a cherished memory of the genuine support of those who showed up.
Soon, they'd all look back at their small beginnings and be proud of their resilience and consistency.
With tasks completed and the venue now empty, the group gathered around Yoongi's car in an open field, ready to celebrate.
Yoongi and Jin opted to enjoy their drinks inside the car, while Taehyung and Jungkook found a quiet corner a little further away.
Jungkook was still riding the high of the performance. He felt like a big star. He wasn't one yet but he could see the future, brighter than the stage lights.
He had everything planned out. He'd move to Seoul and get signed by a big company. Jin would continue as his manager and tour around the world with him. Suga would become a well known producer, working with international and local artists. Then he'd marry Taehyung and they'd start a beautiful family together.
Jungkook wouldn't let the boy work or stress himself. Thankfully, Taehyung could carry babies. They were a perfect match and they would have beautiful children.
Very soon.
The artist kissed his boyfriend passionately, hands cupping his ass while Taehyung held his waist.
Jungkook was expressing his gratitude for the unwavering support. That kiss and his love was all he could offer Taehyung for the mean time.
They pulled back, foreheads touching, locking eyes in a moment that seemed like time slowed down.
"Thanks for always being here for me, baby," Jungkook whispered.
Taehyung smiled, "Your efforts will pay off, Jungkook. Believe in yourself, the way I believe in you. I love you so much, baby."
The artist kissed his nose, his lips and then his neck. Taehyung shut his eyes, brows furrowed as he gave Jungkook more space to kiss his neck.
"I want you so bad, Tae." Jungkook breathed softly. "I love you, I need you."
"I'm right here, baby." Taehyung giggled at how desperate his boyfriend sounded.
Jungkook looked at where Yoongi and Jin were still drinking. The elders didn't look like they were paying attention to the couple.
The artist dipped his hand in his pocket and got his wallet, searching inside it. He looked at Taehyung with a disappointed frown. "I don't have a condom."
Taehyung was about to say something before he was interrupted. "We could..."
Their intimate moment was interrupted by Yoongi's honk, echoing through the field. "Enough romance, you two! Get in the car or you'll be walking home!"
Jungkook chuckled, stealing one more kiss from Taehyung before they headed towards the car.
