*plz read I wanted to post this yesterday to say a few things but i held out till today. The last qstn is had to teach your kid how not to be killed by anyone. The biggest argument today is "why is every black person jumping on the band wagon?" But its not about that, its about picking your battles, right now we have the lime light and we only have a short amount of time to show you that this normalised world is not the actual world you see through your eyes. But this is for my uk people because ive been told that racism doesnt happen in the uk and especially not around us. Well im from the west midlands and here is a snippet of my life. Ive been rejected from jobs because i don't fit the profile when met face to face although they told me my credentials were the best they seen and got me through 2 stages of an interview process. Ive been asked to cut my hair to secure a job position. Ive been bricked in the face for walkin down the street being black. Ive had to have my ear glued back on after being attacked for walking in my own street. Ive woke up in hospital twice after an attack still not knowing who it was. Ive been stop and searched many times because i fit the discription. Ive waited from 2am till 5 am to catch a bus home after nights out because some taxis dont allow blacks. Ive been followed around a supermarket while doin the family shop at a supermarket because i fit the profile to steal. Ive seen people crossing the road to get away from me in broad daylight. At nightime they just turn around a run. People ask me for drugs everytime im out cuz i fit the profile. In worklife i must work 3 times as hard still to be considered an equal. The most deflating thing is that know one sees any of this because its become the programmed normal. So our parents spend our childhood trying to block out the programming and trying to install morals, rules and a code to live by to "not make white people uncomfortable" so we are never put in these situations No one realises till moments like this. And now i have to give my son a speech to make sure he comes home everytime i walk throught the front door.
