Xtra Curricular Activities
Tumblr media
I think it was last week when I thought about doing extra work. Extra work/study that I thought that I would title it “extra curricular activities”. I thought since I am doing part time in bible college and only taking 2 units a semester, I can do extra work (during the weekends). It’s a good idea, especially after 5 days of just doing assignments, reading my textbooks and watching lecture videos, the weekend can be free from college work and I can fill it up with other productive work. So I thought about the extra activities that I wanted (and needed) to do. Here’s the list...
1) cooking 2) learn Greek 3) write my book 4) singing
Cooking was chosen because I thought since i had an interest in it, why not do it? I have decided to cook every Sunday night for dinner.
Learning Greek was a great decision! I have been putting this goal into action and the progress has been fabulous! In less than a week I have already learned the Greek alphabets, how to recite 0-10 in Greek and how to write them in Greek. I have also learned quite a lot of words already.
Hmm, i gotta admit, I haven’t been working on my book lateley. And this is probably not a good thing, I know.
I have been singing! I have been doing vocal warm ups and trying to learn a new song. So that’s good.
Besides all this extra work that I have set up to do for myself, I have been doing my assignment. Right now, I am writing a book review on Sam Chan’s Evangelism in a Secular World book. I am praying that I will not procrastinate too much so that i can finish it before this week ends (because next week I got another assignment to work on). So I will definitely be back to write about my progress on everything.

Complementary Songs
I usually dislike listening to covers because I prefer listening to original music by the artist. And so, most of the time I’m listening to originals.
Tumblr media
I found out about Jess and Gabriel’s EP a couple of days ago and at first, like usual, I wasn’t really into it. The songs were all covers! Plus, I thought it was too slow and too calming/soothing. But then I kept listening to it. I kept pressing play. As I kept hearing the song covers I found myself getting used to it. I also found myself liking it? I have been putting the EP on repeat! The tunes on Jess and Gabriel’s EP are great complementary songs to put on in the background when you are studying. Especially if you are like me, doing a degree in bible college. It complements with what you are studying and who you are studying about - God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The calmness is also another great complementary feature. We do not want music that us too loud or too fast or too much excitement in the beat (e.g., rap, hip hop). I mean, otherwise it’d be distracting and instead of reading about the history of the church or Sam Chan’s evangelism book (what I’m reading at the moment), you’ll be dancing to one of Black Eyed Peas’ song! So I would pick Jess and Gabriel’s EP, which has five fine complementary songs for your next study sesh!

Numbers In Greek
So, a few days ago I decided that I wanted to learn Greek because 1) I’m a bible college student, 2) a lot of English words came from the Greek language, 3) I’m bumping into a lot of Greek words whenever I read my textbooks, lecture notes, lecture videos, additional reading materials etc, 3) the New Testament books were originally written in Greek, “therefore the need for Greek”, as I tell myself, is necessary. So here we go. First lesson, numbers in Greek.
Tumblr media
Six = exi, Seven = epta, Eight = okto, Nine = enea, Ten = deka.
One more number that I’ve also learned is miden, which means zero in English.
