First Kisses
*Arataki Itto
-Your family ran a small taiyaki stand in Inazuma. You had grown up playing along the streets and learning to make the sweet treat with a secret family recipe; it was a popular stop for locals, especially during festivals where your family made a large portion of their profit.
-You worked at the festival that night; however, you were lucky enough to have some time off to meet up with friends and enjoy the sights. Your parents had always been staunch about how money was necessary, but family and friends always came first; When you were a child, your parents would shut the stand down to take you and your older brother around for an hour or two to enjoy the games before returning to work. When you got older, you and your older brother were allowed to go off together (with a stern warning to mind your big brother and for him not to leave you behind). Now, all grown up, you had elected to take your break to meet some friends without your older brother protectively tagging on, saying you would meet up with some friends.
-It wasn’t exactly a lie, as the Arataki Gang was indeed friends; you simply did not correct your family from thinking that you were meeting with other friends. Your brother did not like you hanging around them (minus Kuki) and would have tagged along uninvited.
-You meet up with them at the other end of the festival where the gang was pulling for fortunes. Genta and Itto were not there, Kuki explaining that Genta was trying to screw up his courage for some plan of his, and Itto was giving him a pep talk.
-Mamoru mentioned that Genta needed more than a pep talk; he had already puked in the bushes once.
-You pull for your fortune, and the tiny piece of paper reads: You will be kissed under the next full moon. It’s a surprisingly romantic fortune considering you usually got one that reminded you to bring an extra umbrella or warned you about large strangers you may meet on the road.
-Itto walked up behind you just in time to read your fortune over your head. He takes it and holds it out of your reach, teasing you about your fortune as you try to take it back from him
-“What, you want to get a kiss on the next full moon?” He teases as you hop up to snap it back from him, crumpled slightly from him playing around. His hand rests on your hip as you almost lose your balance. The other boys laugh, elbowing each other and waggling eyebrows at you. Mamoru points out that it was a full moon tonight. You shove the paper in your pocket, trying to ignore Itto trying to take it back.
-Noticing you getting increasingly frazzled or perhaps realizing that a loud oni trying to paw at a small woman’s pockets in the middle of the street was drawing unnecessary attention from the passing doushin, Kuki takes your side. She points out that all the fortunes don’t mean anything and are just generic and vague enough to convince people to think they are real. After all, her fortune said she would pass her exams, but she was not currently enrolled in any schools. Akira pointed out that she had already passed her exams, so maybe her fortune was just late. Kuki repeats that it was just a generic message. Itto pulls for his fortune, anyway.
-“All your problems result from your poor decisions.” He reads.
-Kuki looks down at her fortune slip before pocketing it, saying they might be right after all. The teasing shifts to Itto and his poor luck.
-You eventually have to return to your family’s stall but plan to meet up with the group later to watch the fireworks on the cliffside that overlooked the beach.
-You tried to act nonchalant about the small slip of paper in your pocket; however, you can’t help but wish that maybe just this once, Kuki would be wrong and it would be your fortune for the night.
-You never would have guessed just how trustworthy your fortune would be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You kissed Genta?!”
You jumped, nearly falling off the branch you were seated on as the question cut through the night air. The branch swayed beneath you as you glanced over your shoulder to see an irritated Itto emerging alone from the thick forest rather than the neat dirt path you had expected the group to take up to the cliffside overlook.
You shrug, heat rising on your cheeks at the memory.
“Technically, he kissed me,” you countered breezily, swinging your legs as you resituated yourself to look down at the festival on the beach below.
Behind you, Itto huffed dramatically. Eyes fixated on the festival goers below, you did your best to pretend you were ignoring the sound of Itto muttering under his breath as he pushed the underbrush aside. Your heart thumped in your chest as the realization that he was alone hit you. It was just you, him, and your fortune still tucked in your pocket beneath the full moon. Nerves blooming in your stomach, you inhaled deeply, trying to ignore him struggling with the bush behind you as you struggled to think of any of the smooth opening lines you had daydreamed about while working that night.
Still, you couldn’t help but wince at the sound of foliage whipping through the air and connecting with something solid. Itto cursed louder.
Untangling himself, he stomped to stand in front of you, a red welt running across his chest. Even sitting on the branch, he was a good head taller than you. His brow furrowed, and he leaned down, squinting at you as he bullied himself into your personal space. You reached out, pulling a stray stick out of his hair.
“Genta wouldn’t do that!” He argued. “He wouldn’t kiss you. None of the guys would kiss you.”
You sucked in a sharp breath. Your arms dropped to your sides, gripping the branch tighter. The rough bark ground against your skin as your mood soured. Embarrassment quickly gave way to irritation as he clarified that it wasn’t just Genta that he knew wouldn’t kiss you, that Itto was sure that no one in the gang would.
Like a brand, you could feel the presence of your little fortune slip sitting in your pocket, taunting you. For months, you had been on the fence about confessing to Itto. Ever the romantic, you had thought that your fortune was a sign. And if the fortune wasn’t a sign, the firm feeling of Itto’s hand on your hip had felt like one. He may have been teasing you like he would have any other friend, but the way he had reflexively steadied you, squeezing your hip as he maneuvered you away from bumping into strangers, was more than friendly. And you were reasonably sure that his hand had lingered longer than it would have if it had been Akira he was helping.
Suddenly you couldn’t help but wish that the whole gang was there. Group humiliation would have been preferred to Itto telling you how utterly unkissable he knew you to be. The worst part was that Itto probably didn’t mean it as an insult. He was infuriating, yes, but rarely insulting, which meant that Itto honestly did not see you as a romantic partner.
“Well, he didn’t mean to….” You grumbled, looking away, pride stinging as you admitted he was right.
Poor Genta’s luck had turned as quickly as yours that night. You had been wearing the same half-mask many other vendors wore to the festival when he had found you. Calling you by a different girl’s name, Genta had thrust flowers into your hands after reciting a little speech about how he had never felt this way before and that you were all he could think about, even when he was a hundred miles away. It had been cute, in a nervous sort of way. You recognized some of the words in his speech from an article that Miss Hina had published a few weeks ago, and the unfamiliar gestures of a gentleman courting were telltale hints that he had gone to Kuki for advice. Practice and research were two things Genta did not care for, but he had done them to confess to his crush properly. It was sweet in a way you had not known Genta could be. However, nervous, he kept interrupting when you tried to tell him that he was making a mistake. Before you knew it, he squeezed his eyes shut and pulled you in for a chaste kiss with pursed lips. He had been horrified when he opened his eyes only for you to pull your mask off and reveal that he had confessed to the wrong girl in the kitsune mask.
You had reassured Genta that you weren’t angry (no use crying over spilled dango milk, after all) and that you were confident that his crush would love his confession just, maybe, he should let her get a word in edgewise before throwing himself at her.
Besides, it was hard to remain mad at Genta. At least he had the courage to confess.
Itto frowned, leaning even closer towards you. Steadfastly refusing to look at him, your could feel your cheeks heating up as his intense gaze swept over you. He sucked his teeth, “You’re mad.”
You nearly jumped out of your skin as he reached out, tucking back stray hair that had escaped your long work braid. His nails scraped lightly against you as he hooked the strands around your ear, his light touch running around the shell of your ear, raising gooseflesh on your arms. You swallow, still refusing to turn your head and look at him, even as he curls his fingers against your cheek, trailing across heated skin as his hand falls back at his side.
“I am not,” You lied, trying to keep your voice airy. There was no reason to be mad when he didn’t mean to break your heart.
He was so unfair, and he didn’t even realize it. Itto was always like this, so casual and so touchy-feely. He possessed the singular ability to be able to so easily invade your personal space and remain utterly unaware of the havoc he caused your poor hammering heart when he did so.
Itto gasped, tapping his fist in his hand as an idea hit him. “Oh wait! Is it because it was your first kiss?”
You snap back to look up at him so quickly that your neck cricks. Mouth hanging open, it takes you a second before you squeaked out a high-pitched, “Excuse me?”
“Yeah, that makes sense, I guess. I mean, that’s kind of what Kuki was yelling at Genta for….” Itto said, stroking his chin and nodding as if he had solved some great mystery.
You groan, covering your face with your hands.
If fates and fortunes were real, you must have done something awful in a past life to be forced to endure this.
Itto’s heart sank as you ducked your head, your distress hitting him hard in the chest.
“He felt really bad, you know?” He said, trying to console you as you hid your face in your hands. Guilt pricked sharp and hot at the back of his neck that he had brought up the conversation when he had known it was an accident. The whole time marching up to the cliff, though, the thought of some guy making the moves on you had gnawed at him until he had blurted out the first thing that came to mind the moment he saw you. Maybe he should have let you keep on pretending that you were okay. Perhaps he should have had Kuki check on you instead of insisting that he was best suited for the job.
You didn’t say anything. Itto wrapped his fingers around your wrists, pulling your hands down lightly. “Don’t stay too mad at him, okay? No one meant anything by it.”
It was the same thing he would have told any other gang members if they were squabbling. However, that was usually about bruised egos and card games and rarely about kisses. However, as you peeked over your fingers at him, Itto inhaled sharply, trailing off as he forgot what else he usually said to the boys.
Even though you were sitting in the tree, you were a head shorter than him. You always were shorter than him–most people he encountered were, after all–but the way you were looking up at him scrambled his thoughts.
He swallowed, sucking in a deep breath as he took in the sight of you. Lit only by the full moon's silver light, your blush colored your face. Cheeks flushed, your large doe eyes caught his, half hidden behind your fingers. His grip on your wrists twitched as he watched you. He had always liked the way you looked at him. The way you would catch his gaze, and the corners of your eyes would crinkle. He liked when you blushed, too, though he never really got time to appreciate both so close.
“I…” You unsteadily stammered. Your eyes became watery the more he stared at you. He wasn’t used to girls crying, much less if it was you. And as much as he liked watching how flustered and blushy you could be, he didn’t like the idea of you crying, especially if it was because of some other guy.
“Er… Kuki already punished him, but Genta said he’d let you hit him if you wanted to.” He offered, even though he was sure you wouldn’t want to do that. He rubbed his thumb across the back of your hand as he racked his brain. “Besides, uh, it’s not like it was your fault. It was the fortune, right? It’s not like you would have been kissed if it wasn’t for—“
”You made it obvious you wouldn’t, okay!” You snap, the words slipping out.
Itto blinked, completely cutting off whatever he had been saying.
A second too late, you realized what you had just declared. Your hands wretch out of his loose grip as you clap them over your mouth, horrified. The silence stretched, neither of you moving before Itto glanced away.
“Eh, me?” he asked, bashfully rubbing the back of his neck.
“I’m… I’m not having this conversation.” You had been embarrassed enough for one night. Pushing back on the branch, you swing a leg over the branch, prepared to hop off and run home, even if it is a coward's move.
“Hey, what a sec!” Itto said, snapping to attention as he realized what you were doing. Grabbing your knee, he twisted you back around to face him. His fingers hooked around your knee, pulling you closer to him before you could run off.
“Let me go!”
Itto pursed his lips, prepared to argue that letting you go was the last thing he was going to do. Who said something like that and then ran off?
He groaned as you shifted against him, your thigh pressing against his hip as you squirmed. He squeezed your knee reflexively, keeping you in place as the realization of exactly how close he had pulled you filtered through. Your knees on either side of his hips, he stood between your thighs, nearly pressed against you. He had been close to you before. Earlier that evening, he had enjoyed making you lean against him as you stretched to take your fortune back from him. Jumping on your tiptoes, you swayed, leaning on him fully as he kept the paper just out of reach, spare hand on your hip to keep you steadied against him. But this…
Wide-eyed and blushy as you fidgeted. And it was just the two of you, none of the gang or that annoying brother of yours who made a hobby of popping up at the worst times. Just you and him.
And for some agitating reason, you were still refusing to look at him.
“Hey.. hey, look at me, y/n.” He said, the words a little hoarse.
You shook your head. “No. You’re just going to tease me.”
“Yeah, probably.” He admitted.
You jerked back with a slight glare, and he leaned in closer. Itto pressed his forehead against yours as his free hand found the dip of your waist, keeping a firm hold on you in case you tried to bolt again. He wanted to say something cool to you, something a hero in a light novel might say. But he couldn’t think as he watched your little tongue peaking out, licking nervously at your lips. His nostrils flared, and he leaned down, catching your lips with his.
You smelled sweet, like the taiyaki batter you worked with, but you tasted even better. Soft, sweet, and eager, leaning forward towards him with a soft noise that hit Itto hard in the stomach. Impatiently, he parted his lips against yours, biting at the bottom lip you had just licked. His fangs caught the softness of your lip as he nipped at its fullness.
“Mmm, ow….” You reflexively murmured before you could stop yourself.
Itto pulled back slightly, “Oh shit. Sorry….”
Breathless, you wrap your arms around his neck. Fingers threading through his hair, you try to pull him back to you.
“No, I didn’t mean….” You give a breathy laugh wondering how you would tell him that you liked the sting of his teeth; he had just surprised you.
You arch your back, pressing against his chest to wrap your arms around his neck. His hands holding you in place, you had to stretch to reach. Lips parted, you chase his lips, pressing an uncertain open-mouthed kiss that had him leaning back into you.
He may have been told he was foolish a thousand times, but Itto was not fool enough to ignore your sweet lips on his. It was intoxicating. Your taste, your smell, the way you were wrapped around him; from your fingers playing with the sensitive hair at the base of his neck to your leg still hooked around his hip. His hand tightened on your waist. He released your knee. Trailing his fingers up the outside of your thigh, desperate for more of your soft skin.
He groaned, the sound bordering on a growl that rumbled straight through you and stole your breath away. You tugged on his hair, and he growled, teeth scraping your bottom lip again as the kiss grew messy. Itto invaded your mouth, tasting you deeper. Rough fingers slid up your thigh, under the hem of your skirt that was trapped tight on your leg from the way you were pressed against him. You should have known his kiss would be as wild as he was, but you hadn’t anticipated that it would steal all thought and reason as easily as he stole your breath.
Pulling back, you have to blink a few times to clear your head enough to think, a feat Itto made harder as his hand on your hip shifted, playing with the fabric out of your shorts. He tapped his forehead against yours, watching you carefully as you reached up to touch your tender lips. Your fingers curl against them, still glistening and slick from him, as you let out a slight laugh, wondering what to say now. Maybe a confession? Though that seemed a bit redundant with the desperate way you had wrapped yourself around him… Perhaps you should tease him about him being the best kiss you had all night?
Though, now that you had been properly kissed, you weren’t sure you could even count the accident earlier.
Heart still pounding a wild beat, Itto laughed with you, unsure how to let out the light feeling in his chest. You had always been cute, calling his attention just by being near him, but now that he knew how you tasted, he couldn’t tear his eyes away. Especially with that smile hidden half behind your fingers with lips that were swollen from him. You watched him through your long eyelashes, your smile a playful secret just for him.
“So, uh…” Itto asked, unable to stop himself from meeting the mischievous light in your eyes as he held up the crinkled paper of your fortune. “Do I get to keep this, then?”

This is quite a bit longer than my first one. I included a lot more story and build up than I did with Ayato… I have actually been far more nervous about posting this than the other. I have a few mutuals who are big Itto fans. I hope I did him justice for you!
Who would you like to read about next?

People like to say that you’re a weird kid. You much prefer the term unique. After all, it isn’t everyday that someone makes it their life’s mission to marry their Archon.
Besides, you’ve met plenty of other people you can confidently call weirder than you. Case number one: Hu Tao, aka the Funeral Director’s granddaughter, aka your best friend. Case number two: Chongyun, your local popsicle dealer. Case number four: Xiangling, the trauma-inducer who proved to you that not everything is, in fact, edible and you should most definitely be wary the next time she offers you any food.
And case number four: Xingqiu.
You don’t think that last one needs any sort of explanation. Anyone who’s as filthy rich as him and chooses to spend their time with commoners like you instead of basking in their mora is weird (in hindsight, it wasn’t a very logical reason, but it very much made sense in your ten-year-old brain). That, and he’s a huge nerd, though that can be forgiven since he’s your main source of information regarding your future husband, Rex Lapis.
Which brings you to the conclusion that yes, maybe there’s a little bit of truth in it whenever someone calls you weird, but surrounding yourself with even weirder people cancels the weirdness out in some complex mathematical way. So while they may be, possibly, likely telling the truth, they’re also technically lying.
So, no, you’re not weird. End of story.
“Let me get this straight, you’re trying to hire me in advance as the musician for your future wedding with Rex Lapis?”
You nod, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Of course! Who else would I hire besides the best musician I know?”
“I’m the only musician you know,” Xinyan points out with amusement.
“Details! Once your parents finally get off your back about music, I just know you’re gonna be amazing!” You offer her a high five. “So are you in?”
She stares at your hand for a moment, an unreadable look crossing her face before it smooths out into a wide grin. Her palm slaps over yours in a high five.
“Well, duh! What kind of person would I be to reject a once in a lifetime’s offer of performing in a god’s wedding?” She laughs, slinging her arm over your shoulder. You smile at her easy acceptance, of not calling you weird like the other kids.
Hm. Another one recruited into your band of supporters, aka the only people who actually believe you when you say you’re going to marry Rex Lapis. Excellent.

First Kisses
*Kamisato Ayato
-There was an age-old contract between your family and the Kamisato Clan, betrothing you and the clan head.
-Actually, the contract wasn't even for you; it had been for your father and Ayato's mother before the then Kamisato Clan head had fallen in love with her. The arrangement had been called off (happily on all sides, truth be told), and the contract had faded into obscurity as time passed.
-The only reason you had the contract unearthed was because you were desperate to save your family. You had done all you could to protect your small clan, but wise investments took time. And with three younger sisters and a younger brother to care for, you knew that time was running out. If you could obtain just a small lump sum of money to last until those investments came to fruition, your hard work would pay off.
-You had assumed they would pay the penalty to void the old marriage contract. The life-changing sum of money you required was small change to the Kamisato Clan, after all. And why would the Kamisato Head be interested in your small clan?
-And he wasn't. Ayato had called you to the Kamisato Compound, fully intent on telling whatever marriage-minded miss that arrived that he was not interested. Only to find out that the miss in question did not at all seem to be the social climbing person he expected to find. You were pleasant enough, but he was sure you were hiding something.
-The more he learned about you, the more he realized that you were not who he had expected at all. You did not seem very concerned with social positions, walking the streets of Inuzuma to meet some of your friends (an ex-shrine maiden and a sharp-witted detective).
-One night, he catches you off guard in the moonlight courtyard of his home. After some back and forth, he corners you against the wall—one hand on your waist to hold you in place, the other grips your chin.
-You finally admit that he was right. You didn't want to marry him at all. And Ayato was surprised to find that he did not care for that answer from you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The memory of you laughing in the streets of Inuzuma with that detective flashes through his mind as he stares down at your defiant expression. His hand on your hip tightened slightly.
“Then, is it because of your lover?” Ayato asked quietly, gently sweeping his thumb over the delicate skin below your plush lower lip. He supposed it wasn’t a fair question for him to ask you, especially considering that you had made it abundantly clear you wanted to call off the arrangement. Nor was it fair as he had a small handful of lovers himself before the two of you had ever met. However, fair or otherwise, he couldn’t help but watch you carefully as your breath caught at the question, blinking a few times in surprise before masking your surprised expression.
“Y-yes.” You declared, large eyes flashing defiantly in the moonlight despite the slight catch in your voice.
Ayato arched an eyebrow as he stared down at you, watching the color rise in your cheeks.
“For such a skilled player, you are a poor liar.” He murmured, unable to quell the desire to tease more of that blush out of you as he moved closer into your personal space. “So, you do not have a lover.”
“What, no, I…” you hiss, your words losing their harshness as your tone turns pleading. “I have a lover!”
He chuckled, his thumb continuing to stroke your smooth skin as he watched your cheeks flushing as your frustration grew.
“I have a dozen lovers!”
Such a poor pretty little liar.
“Poor thing,” Ayato murmured, slightly surprised by how sadistic he was feeling. There was something about how you looked up at him, your large eyes blinking back frustrated tears as you pleaded with him in the moonlight. He lightly rubbed the tip of his nose against yours as he continued playing with you. “Poor, poor thing. I bet that you have never even been kissed, have you?”
He had meant merely to tease you, but the truth hit Ayato as you sucked in a sharp breath.
He was too close. Your hands had been pressed against his chest to try to push him away, but he was too close now, trapping them uselessly between you. He was barely touching you, but he was so close that he was scrambling your racing thoughts. You had always thought he was as cold as the stories about the proud Yashiro Commissioner had proclaimed him to be. But he certainly didn’t seem cold right then, standing so close that every nerve in your body was aware of his body heat from his proximity. His fingers were curled against your jaw, trailing sparks with each deliberate movement. His elegant nose nuzzled against yours, feather-light but lighting a fire in his wake. You couldn’t help the uneven gasp that escaped you as he stroked his thumb and pressed down, parting your lips slightly with the firm pressure.
Ayato was anything but cold, with his hot touch keeping you locked in place. He was pretty. So damned pretty and so damned sure of himself, his lips quirking in a lazy smirk as he watched you fidget; all retorts were long lost to you as he watched you through the pretty sweep of his long lashes.
Vaguely, you recalled your father’s warning when you first told him about your plan.
‘The Kamisato clan head is brilliant and cunning, y/n. He has hundreds of women throwing themselves at him, begging for his attention. He is going to see through you right away.’
It would seem that your father had been right to warn you.
“I’m not going to beg you.” You suddenly say, half to him and half to remind yourself. You had tried to snap the words but failed as they caught in your throat and came out in a whisper instead of the sharp hiss you had meant them to be.
His lazy smirk grew suddenly at your declaration, and your face flamed as you realized how he must have taken your words.
“Of course not.” Ayato cajoled, his words ghosting across your lips like a physical touch as he loosened his grip on your chin, still not closing that final gap. “What sort of gentleman would make a lady beg for her first kiss?”
Slow and deliberate, Ayato tilted his head and pressed his lips firmly against yours.
You inhale sharply through your nose in shock before you melt into him. Your hands on his chest trembled before you gripped the fabric of his shirt, unsure of what else to do with them. A small voice in your mind argued that you should push him away from you, that you should be outraged that he was so easily playing with you, but all reason is swiftly forgotten as his thumb strokes your cheek and his lips move slowly, persuasively, against yours. You nearly forgot everything. You could scarcely remember how to breathe, especially when Ayato’s tongue licked insistently at the seam of your lips.
Your lips parted beneath his with a surprised gasp. Ayato deftly pressed his advantage, tongue plunging in to steal what little remained of your logic and reasoning. His body was hot against yours and as unyielding as the wall against your back, trapping you in place. His tongue flicked against yours, tempting you into an unfamiliar game that set your senses ablaze.
In shy, uncertain movements, you try to keep up with him. Your tongue twists with his earning you a low moan of approval from him. The sound settles in your chest as you tremble slightly, leaning into him further. Ayato’s fingers trailed from your jaw to rest around your neck; his long fingers wrapped around your neck with light pressure as he stole your breath away with his kiss.
Slowly, he pulled back from you. You blink a few times, hazily looking up at him. He watched you closely with lidded eyes as he leaned down and nipped at your still-parted lips before pulling back.
You swallow, unable to say anything for a moment as you look down at your fingers still gripping the fabric of his shirt. The night air seemed too cold now that Ayato had moved back to allow you to regain some of your personal space.
“I…” You start before trailing off as you realize that you are unsure what you want to say to him. You swallow, your neck moving beneath his fingers that still encircled your sensitive skin. You could feel his gaze watching you like a caress. “I think….”
He cut you off, leaning back down. Ayato moved his hand on your hip to the small of your back to pull your soft body flush against his. His cheek slid against yours as he placed his lips next to your ear, his breath on the sensitive shell of it forcing the hair at the nape of your neck to rise. If he had thought your eyes were expressive, it was nothing to your body. Every small gasp, your grip on his shirt tightening, the tilt of your head rolling to the side to give him better access even if you weren’t aware of what you were doing.
“Perhaps now you can see why,” Ayato said, his voice slightly hoarse as he whispered low in your ear. “Perhaps now you can see why I cannot allow you to call the deal off.”

This was originally just a small part of a much larger story but I’m not sure if anyone would want to read the whole thing. Since then, my imagination has sort of run wild and i have a half dozen of these little first kiss stories planned with different characters.
Who would you like to see next?

I’m going to be posting the first post of my ‘First Kisses’ series tomorrow. Here are the edits I made for it. Nothing special, as I am still learning, but I wanted to share them in case anyone wanted to use them, as well. Leave a note letting me know so I can see, if you do!

I am a Genshin Impact fan who has been playing for about a year. My friend and I were playing a silly little phone game that shut down, and we wanted to find something else we could play together. Before I knew it, I was AR 56 and utterly obsessed with Teyvet. I love to write and create fun journal pages, so I am making this little space to post my creations. I am not very good at what I do, but I have lots of fun doing it and hope to make friends with similar interests.
I’m not sure what else to say… I plan to update my introduction eventually, but in the meantime, please feel free to send me any questions you may have!

this is my first genshin oc, nascha !! she's a dendro catalyst healer/sub dps from sumeru (originally mondstadt) !! i'll include more about her utc!!
general info name and meaning: Nascha Baren { Owl ~ Protector } nicknames: Nana { nah-nah } birthplace: Mondstadt current residence: Gandharva Ville, Sumeru sexual orientation: Bisexual blood type: O- preferred weapon: Catalyst vision type: Dendro hobbies: Gardening, cultivating flowers, floral design, hiking, playing with random dogs skills/talents: Communication, healing, damage control, damage distribution occupation: forest ranger
past history Hometown: Mondstadt         Backstory: Nascha's parents met at the Akademiya. Her father was a simple knight from Mondstadt who wanted to change his course in life, and her mother was an aspiring researcher. When they had both completed their studies, they decided to return to Mondstadt, her father working now as an alchemist for the Knights of Favonius, and her mother doing freelance research on the applications and reactions relating to the power of Anemo. Neither of her parents were vision wielders, and while this wasn't by any means strange, little Nascha idolized her parents so much that she couldn't fathom why they hadn't been chosen of the gods. Surely her mother's free spirit was deserving of an Anemo vision, or her father's strong willpower of a Geo? Nascha grew up playing out in the plains of Mondstadt, teaming up with Jean to help the others when they got hurt, and teaching Barbara how to make flower crowns. Her favorite activity by far, though, was befriending the wildlife with Thoma. The two of them would catch frogs next to Springvale, and try very hard to befriend all the boars on the hunting grounds. Nascha was one of the lucky few chosen to receive her vision at a young age. She was only 9 years old, and had taken the then 4-year-old Barbara out to pick flowers, when Barbara suddenly took a nasty tumble into the river. After pulling Barbara out of the water, Nascha used her knowledge of the local flora combined with what her father had so far taught her about their alchemical properties to create a healing tonic that helped Barbara recover at a remarkably accelerated pace. When the younger girl finally came-to, a blinding light surrounded the two of them. As the light died down, Nascha and Barbara saw that the pile of discarded plant parts from Nascha's tonic had turned into a pile of flower petals ringed by a flower crown, with a brightly glowing Dendro vision right in the center.
physical characteristics height: five foot four weight: 132 lbs posture: straight, but relaxed body shape: hourglass tattoos: none piercings: ear piercings and a small nose ring scars: multiple small scars on her fingers and hands from thorny plants, and a few larger ones on her knees from similarly difficult terrain in Sumeru dominant hand: Left
personality overall personality: Nascha is a reliable, kind-hearted, sympathetic person, with a strong inclination to help those in need. She absolutely refuses to be taken advantage of, however, as she was taught from a young age to know her worth. She is the person who will immediately befriend the new kid and go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome and included. She is the person people gravitate towards when she enters the room, even if they don't realize it. She is blessed with the ability to make everyone feel appreciated. five negative traits: reckless, messy, competitive, nosy, airy five positive traits: empathetic, imaginative, efficient, knowledgeable, wise fears/phobias: Nascha is terrified of the ocean and large bodies of water. The thought of sea monsters literally paralyzes her with fear. soft spots: all animals, but especially dogs state of mind: sane habits: absently swirling dendro energy in the air, picking flowers on her patrols, tugging on her bubble braids, and staring off into space likes: animals, flowers, the rainforest, sunny weather, windy days, the mondstadt breezes, fruit juice, being around people dislikes: the ocean, sea monsters, most fish, rainy days, caves, being underground, the dark
relationships: family: (i.e. are any of them alive/what are their names? any info about them?)father - Magnus Baren - alive - Knights of Favonius alchemist         mother - Daphne Baren - alive - Freelance researcher siblings - none friends in teyvat: Tighnari, Collei, Jean, Barbara, Amber, Diluc, Thoma, Dori, Alhaitham enemies: the akademiya, the fatui, the abyss pets: literally all of the street dogs love interest(s): thoma, diluc, itto, gorou

Definitely do it! I’d love to read about her! I think it would be fun to have people sort of putting their oc’s out there and having them interact together.
Looking forward to seeing her!
I’ve got ,, a confusion ??
Basically,, what’s this communities opinion on oc’s?? Bc I have a genshin one well established and I’d love to introduce her on here, but I’m just not entirely sure how it’s be received 😅

I might be in the minority but I love seeing oc’s, especially if they are well rounded. But I don’t know about how other people feel.
I say go for it!
