I refuse to believe Rhodey was switched at Civil War.
Refuse.
I don't care if it looks like he's wearing a hospital gown. Nope. No.
As far as I'm concerned, a little after TFATWS, Rhodey went in for a yearly check up or something. Maybe an xray to check on his legs. Then the Skrulls captured him and stole his leg brace things and that's why he couldn't stand up by himself.
I REFUSE to accept any earlier.
What? Is Marvel suggesting that Skrull Rhodey fought in Wakanda, spent the 5 Blip years working with the Avengers, did the Time Heist, bonded with Nebula, watched Tony die, and supported Sam with the shield?
IS THAT WHAT YOUR SAYING, MARVEL!?

Watching all Guardians of the Galaxy related content and it brought me back to when the writers and directors were given the time and opportunity to give a shit about the narrative.
Guardians Vol. 3 is the first MCU film since Endgame I've had high expectations for as I trust James Gunn to care about the characters.
While the same went for Taika Watiti, at some point he stopped giving a shit and Love and Thunder was insultingly bad.
I can't wait for these next three weeks to go by...

I made the grave mistake of re-reading the Infinity War novel adaptation.
Tony's inner-monologue while losing Peter is now drilled into my brain and I'll never not hear it while watching the movie.

Armor Wars is gonna be a feature film!!! Let's fucking go!
Don Cheadle deserves this so much. Rhodey deserves this so goddamn much. He's been here since day 1 (and Don since IM2) and every subsequent moment has been golden.
It looks like they'll be taking the route of Vice President Rhodey too, according to the Secret Invasion trailer.
And White Vision's coming back? Justin Hammer's coming back? This would be the perfect opportunity to show how Peter is going by himself if this is a round-up of Iron Man's associates/villians.
No Way Home clearly showed that Stark Industries is in trouble due to Far From Home. Does some data get leaked during the government investigation? Is Happy Hogan still in some deep shit? I wonder if Spider-Man will get dragged into the political mess?
This will be Rhodey being forced to choose doing the government's bidding or fighting as hard as he can to protect his late best-friend's work.
This is what I've been waiting for. Bring it on.
