If you're ever feeling self-conscious about your character designing abilities, just remember that it took me until five seconds ago to realize that asmo and mephisto have almost identical hairstyles. Like mephisto's is mirrored and slightly shorter but that's it lmao

"Alright, put your arms behind your back."

Without waiting for him to obey, you take Solomon's wrists in your hands and guide them into position so that his elbows are straight and his hands are a few centimetres apart.

"Good boy. You're gonna feel the rope pulling them together, but I want you to resist it, okay?"

Solomon gives a little hum of acknowledgement and looks over his shoulder at you, his eyes somehow simultaneously glazed over blissfully and narrowed in concentration. You coil the rope around his wrists a few times and tug. Sure enough, Solomon's wrists easily press together, and you laugh.

"Solomon, what did I just say?"

"Mm... sorry. But how can you expect me to not get distracted when you're so close to me?" He flashes you a shameless grin, and you roll your eyes.

"Dork." You loosen the ropes to allow him to separate his wrists again, then tie a lark's head to secure it. You wrap the bight around the coils between his wrists and tug firmly, smiling at his little jolt of surprise when the ropes naturally form a set of handcuffs. You tie it off and begin to slowly coil the long end up his arms, forming similar cuffs in the same way all the way up. "Comfy?"

"Very." Solomon wiggles his fingers experimentally before attempting a clumsy thumbs up. "You know, when I - oh."

His eyes grow wide when you reach his upper arms and tug sharply, forcing his shoulder blades back and together. He exhales sharply and you can see him immediately start pressing his thighs together. You tie off what is now effectively a rope armbinder and grin.

"Pretty," you say languidly as your fingers lightly trace your handiwork, "Now, turn around. I'm not done with you."

Tbh, related to my last post, a dynamic I love but hardly ever see in fanworks is that of Dia with an MC who fuckin hated him at first. Always getting annoyed by his antics, calling him out on his sometimes questionable decision-making, constantly at odds with him. And over time, reluctantly warming up to him, probably still giving him gentle bonks at times but not getting as genuinely heated about it.

Why, you may ask? Yes, enemies to lovers is great, but doesn't this dynamic make more sense for Lucifer? But you forget a core part of how Diavolo functions in relationships: he feels like people are only around him because they have to be. So to have someone who used to be very vocal about disliking him? Well, he knows that, if that MC really didn't want to be around him, they wouldn't hesitate to tell him to fuck off. (They've probably said meaner things than that let's be real)

But they don't. They willingly spend time with him and they text him stupid memes that made them think of him and they sometimes get mad at him but they still stay.

Now look me in the eye tell me that isn't a perfect dynamic for Diavolo.

Returning from the dead with a hot take for you all:

MC says "fuck" when talking to Diavolo and he gets unreasonably excited about it. Like it's something that MC doesn't even think twice about, but that level of informality is so foreign to Diavolo he can't stop thinking about it for the rest of the day.

Thinking about those Miss Em doll notes and considering making ones for the other characters bc I need that in my life

I wonder if we're gonna get HDD notes from the undateables too on twitter. It seems one is posted every day, and all that's left for the characters with intimacy levels are Simeon, Luke, and Solomon. That would take us to the 22nd, which in theory means that there are another three days left for Raphael, Thirteen, and Mephistopheles.

Okay here's my hot take: while I only will write (and have any interest in) dom!MC, I do headcanon most of the characters as being switches rather than exclusive subs. And like, for the most part, Levi, for example, being a sub is a pretty ubiquitous fandom opinion. My more controversial stance is that one of those, if not exclusive, at least heavily preferred subs is Diavolo.

I have several mutuals into CoD and I stg if I had a nickel for each time I saw a fic on my dash and misread "Simon" as "Simeon", started reading, and was promptly disappointed

Okay this is my last post about the Christmas event (probably) but man. Is it ever reigniting my love for Asmo. He's the perfect balance of sweet and an absolute menace.

Honestly, all the characterizations were absolutely fantastic, but Asmo is usually given such crumbs that him actually having a personality again stood out in particular. Ngl this might finally dethrone the 2020 genie event as being my favourite event plotline.

Absolutely horrified by Barbatos's gloves in this event btw.

Thinking of writing something about MC helping Lucifer with a migraine and currently undecided if I want to go the wholesome route or the "orgasms as a method of relieving pain" route.

On a related note, casually* thinking about how, in a game where every character is based on a being from actual, real-world lore, and which does way more homework than an otome game would ever be expected to do, Simeon and Luke are both named after humans.

Man, finally got around to reading the Late-Night Game Showdown devilgram and. Damn I always forget how much I love Simeon. He's such a little shit but also will casually phrase everything like he's reciting poetry it's fantastic

Love seeing his competitive side come out, though. Like it wasn't a particularly deep story with much in the way of character revelations, but it's just delightful. Love is stored in the using the thunderbolt on your significant other in Mario Devil Kart.

Actually, Solomon has the second most fics outside the brothers with 708! That's more than either Barbatos (652) or Simeon (656). That being said, I'm very curious how Nightbringer's release affected things, so I may add pre- and post-Nightbringer to the list of variables to compare when I do a proper deep dive. (Maybe before and after they became dateable, too? Idk we'll have to see.)

I often see people talk about how underappreciated their favourite character is, regardless of which character it is, so it got me wondering which character actually has the most fics? Tumblr doesn't really allow for this type of search, but AO3 does, so here we have the number of fics tagged "(insert character)/Reader" on AO3!* (Disclaimer: other tags also exist, such as /Main Character, /Original Character, etc, but trying to incorporate multiple tags while avoiding fics that use both would be a nightmare, and /Reader seemed to be the most frequently used one across the board.)

No major surprises here, at least to me. The character with the most fics is Mammon (2020), followed pretty closely by Lucifer (1882), and the character with the least fics is Thirteen (46) followed by Raphael (59). I was mildly surprised that Asmo had more fics than either Beel or Belphie, but it was by a small enough margin that I wasn't completely shocked.

What I'd love to do is further break this down. See how many male, female, and gn mc fics there are, the ratio of sfw to nsfw fics for each character, maybe looking at which characters have the most sub! or dom!MC fics, but that would take a l o t more effort, so it'll be a bit before I can get that to you.
