Sad aot headcanons to fuck you over

TW: mentions of depression, self-harm, suicide, very emotional, eating disorders.

Season 4 Hange hasn't had a single full night of sleep ever since they went Marley. She's been so busy dealing with the scouts and (spoiler warning!!) It only gets worse when she find an injured Levi on the verge of death and she has to stay up all night saving him. She's also losing hair from stress.

Historia kind of almost went insane after she found out Ymir died. She only stayed sane because of her duty as being a queen reminded her that she needed to be there for her country.

Levi doesn't get much sleep, and it's actually canon that when he does he has horrible nightmares. So when he does get a full night, or tries to sleep he wakes up from a nightmare and slowly cries himself back to sleep. During this time he has his cravat crumpled up in his hand since it's a piece of his dead mothers dress and it brings him some sort of comfort.

Mikasa harms herself whenever she failed to save Eren. She'd blame herself, eyes dull and empty. She'd start hitting herself till she bruised up. This continued until after Eren left for Marley. Mikasa went crazy, headaches worsening after not knowing whether or not Eren was safe, hitting her head not able to handle pain of her headaches until Armin stepped in and helped her.

Armin eventually snaps in the manga, but you have to imagine he's been bottling up emotions, stress, confusion, and anger for years after trying to defend and help Eren for years. During the four years of Eren being in Marley Armin becomes somewhat depressed and finds comfort in staying with Mikasa and visiting Annie's crystal. And you have to expect no one really notices that Armin is depressed. He's a master manipulator and is amazing at acting, so you already know that he has a mask with smile on at all times. So he has no way of ever venting or letting lose.

Jean hides himself in his room whenever something really fucked up happened. He hides in his blankets and pillows blocking out everyone's voices. He'll stay stuck in his room for days. and sometimes he'd go for a while until he notices how dehydrated and hungry he is.

Jean is great at drawing, and he has an entire sketchbook labeled Marco ,it's full of drawings of a freckled, black haired boy but they all have a difference in them. Whether it was facial structure, facial features, or his haircut, why? Because Jean is starting to forget what he looks like and he won't stop drawing Marco until he gets it right.

Sasha believe it or not had an eating disorder at a time. Trust me it was just a small period of time, but once when she was enjoying a meal the scouts were gifted after an expedition a group of soldiers from the Garrison were purposely speaking, loudly, about Sasha's eating habits behind her. Calling her fat, a pig, an animal, country bumpkin. Of course Connie stood up and told them to shut the fuck up. But afterwards Sasha actually starved herself for a while until Mikasa told her that her eating habits were perfectly fine and that she was perfect the way she was.

When Connie is in sound proof areas he hides and screams his heart out. He joined the survey corps to prove his bullies from town wrong and to make his family proud, but he has no family to make proud. He's confused, he's broken, this isn't what he signed up for, he just wants to go home.

(spoilers!! for aot manga ending) When Eren was killed and visited all his Eldian friends in the paths he visited Levi and apologized for all the pain he's caused him. He's the reason why Levi lost everything.

During Eren's time in Marley he's actually second guessed his plans, he's actually thought back as to how he could live a peaceful life with Mikasa, but then again there's no turning back now.

Annie just wanted to go home. During her fight in the forest she actually thought of just running away and finding a way to get off the island, back to Marley.

Bertholdt has extreme anxiety and it only gets worse when he has to transform. There's a chance his transformation may not work according to plan and he'll get blown up. And do you think he'll be able to survive that explosion? hell no.

There's no headcanon for Reiner. We all know what he's going through.

Hitch screams at Annie's crystal sobbing, yelling at her why did she kill all those people. She actually cried and vented to Annie's crystal about Marlowe's death, how lonely she felt, and how she wanted to end it all.
