I always think that Hunter is the sort of parent who would keep Omega away from alcohol at all costs, meanwhile Echo is the parent who argues that Omega is old enough and can make her own decisions.
Meanwhile Crosshair and Wrecker always tried to avoid those conversations because they secretly took Omega to drink with them when she was old enough to do so. And they obviously don't want Hunter or Echo knowing because they'd be murdered in their sleep.
Meanwhile Tech just wants to tattle to Hunter and Echo about it but he can't because Omega, Wrecker and Crosshair spotted him in the same bar kissing Phee and threatened to tell everyone unless he keeps his mouth shut about it.

Was I the only one who cried watching Omega plan the escape from the Vault? Like my little apple pie is all grown up now I can't 😭😭 the way she discreetly hides the tool in her sleeves and how she's calculating and analysing every possibility makes me feel so proud of her🥺

You cannot tell me that Rex didn't find Anakin and Ahsoka haphazardly asleep in the Resolute hangar at least once, and put a blanket over them instead of waking them up.

No but Hunter is not the dad to Omega. Hunter is the MOM. He fusses, he worries, he sighs when something goes downhill, and he gets frequent sensory overloads(literally) trying to keep his nerdy eldest son(Tech), goofy middle child with destructive tendencies(Wrecker) and chirpy, clumsy daughter(Omega) under control, with occasional help from Uncle Echo.
Crosshair is the DAD. He plays(competes, whatever) with Wrecker, is friends and gets along nicely enough with his eldest son, Tech and loves his only daughter, Omega(won't let her carry heavy stuff, protect her at all costs, meditate with her, and I can continue, but refrain to add more to keep the post short ;))
Hunter is the MOM and Crosshair is the DAD and no one can convince me otherwise.

Annabeth being the daughter of Athena was great, but imagine the shit that would go down if Annabeth was Dionysus' daughter. That would be one of the most freaking interesting AUs ever. Together, him, Annabeth, Castor and Pollux would be one heck of a family.
Like Percy's just arrived at Camp and seeing the father-daughter banter. Annabeth threatening anyone with a broken bone everytime they called Dionysus the Wine Dude. Her reminding Dionysus' about his restrictions everytime he summoned wine. Dionysus calling her Annie because he gives (incorrect)nicknames to everyone but this time it won't be incorrect. Him comforting her after Luke's betrayal, in his own way.
The Athena cabin mostly looked at Annabeth as their leader. Dionysus cabin would look upto her as their sister. Castor and Pollux(and I would like to remind everyone that they've been mentioned as looking pretty athletic too) would literally give the evil side eye to anyone who looked sideways at Annabeth, even though they know that she's pretty capable of defending herself. She's still their little sister, after all.
Athena telling Percy to stay away from daughter was okay, but Dionysus telling Peter Johnson to stay away from his Annie would be EPIC. Like him just keeping an eye on them everytime they hung out together(ever since they were twelve year old kids) and also putting Castor and Pollux on the job. Athena stared when Percy and Annabeth danced together in TTC. Dionysus would literally yell "Hands Off" across the party venue.
Imagine Mr. D freaking out everytime she goes on a quest with Percy because that boy attracts trouble like no one else, but eventually (though he does not show it) becoming more and more reassured about her safety because no one would protect his daughter like Percy does and he was one heck of a demigod.
Imagine Dionysus straight up denying that Annabeth leads the quest in the Labyrinth and giving in after like, a two hour long argument, because he saw what that maze did to Chris Rodriguez. And then him seeing go mad with worry about Percy after she emerged out of the wretched maze sobbing hysterically about the best friend she'd just lost. Dionysus, his daughter, and his son grieving over the family member they lost in the Battle of the Labyrinth – both of them helping Pollux through grief because he'd lost his twin meanwhile holding themselves together as well.
When Annabeth and Percy finally start dating and share that epic underwater kiss, he just looks into the lake, yells "To the Big House once you're finished, the both of you! You still need my permission!" and walks away, sipping Diet Coke but internally, he's happy his daughter finally got the amazing future she deserved.
And if we can assume that somehow the falling into Tartarus part still happens(even though Annabeth isn't a daughter of Athena in the AU), Mr. D would be totally wrecked. And he's relieved, but his heart breaks when she comes out broken. He has to watch her and the Johnson boy scream themself awake at nights. To watch them cope through PTSD, depression and what not.
And he helps them, even Perry Johnson, because at this point, he's like his son as well and they're going to be like an epic Father in law-son in law duo in the future. He's accepted him just as Sally accepted Annabeth and he has so much respect for that woman because she gave his daughter love like a mother, she gave her what she was missing.
And now somehow Percy Jackson was a member of their tiny little family as well, and he's seeing his daughter finally get that peace. And he's happier than ever.

It's crazy how most of us forget that Percy denied immortality for Annabeth not once, but twice.
He could have easily escaped from all the pain he would have had to endure if he shouldered the burden of the Prophecy by choosing to stay on Calypso's island. Let's not forget that he was more tempted by that prospect rather than the prospect of being a God.
He could live in the beautiful island with this sweet girl he'd started to like forever. Nobody could harm him, and he could live their forever, not aging ever. That immortality would never corrupt him, and he would forever be at peace.
Percy takes a long time to make the decision to walk away from that life, even thinking that it was going to be one of the biggest what-ifs of his life. Yes, he thinks about the prospect when the gods offer him immortality – but it doesn't take long for him to make the decision to stay mortal.
Calypso's island had been, for Percy, one of the greatest temptations to resist, also because of the fact that when he was offered immortality by the gods, he had already won. He had saved Olympus and was a hero. There was no pressure upon him to shoulder the prophecy.
But during BotL, he had to bear all the pressure that came with being the prophecy kid, making it more tempting to walk away. And yet he didn't, because of Annabeth. Because no matter what, he wanted to stay with her.
I feel like this is a very underrated moment and it needs to shine out, because in my opinion, it was easier to deny immortality when he'd already won, than when he had not.

Guys. GUYS. When(not if, when) we get season 4, we're gonna see Chris and Clarisse bonding. Yes. YES.
I won't be the same the same person when I see Dior as Clarisse holding together a disheveled Chris from the brink of utter madness.
Andrew did such a good job and words will fail to describe Dior's performance (she totally stole that episode!). I can't wait jshdksnavsgsmdjks

frank: let me get this straight. thalia and jason’s domain is the sky, percy’s domain is water, and hazel and nico’s domain is basically the underground?
annabeth: yes
frank: but… can’t percy also create storms? that have clouds and lightning and thunder?
annabeth: yes
frank: and… and can’t percy also create earthquakes and make volcanoes erupt?
annabeth: yes
frank: so… in a way, doesn’t that mean everywhere is percy’s domain?
annabeth: yes.
annabeth: but don’t tell him. he hasn’t had that realization yet

One of the seriously underrated differences between Percy Jackson and Harry Potter is the involvement of supporting characters. And I particularly mean characters who might not appear special to the reader.
Look at Harry Potter. The only Muggle characters who get some spotlight (and that too, negative) are the Dursleys. Other than that, Muggles hardly play a role in the story. Yes, I know what I'm saying – they don't know magic, how would they help?
They can. Look at Paul Blofis(the best stepdad ever, I had to say that). He can't see through the mist, he barely knows stuff about the world of his stepson but my man really woke up in a warzone and killed a monster like a pro. He couldn't even see the monsters properly, but he was there to help.
I love how mortals are involved in the Percy Jackson series, despite them not sharing the connections to the magical world. Take Sally Jackson, she was always there for her son. I know people will think, "Well, she's the hero's mother." But what about Hermione's parents? We never see them getting actively involved.
Rachel is one of the prime examples of this as well. And her counterpart in Harry Potter is Mrs. Figg. The one time we do see Mrs. Figg helping, it looked like Dumbledore had forced her or something. Rachel Elizabeth Dare flew a helicopter to a warzone, not caring about her own life, knowing she was a mortal and that her special abilities may show her the future, but would not protect her future(her life).
Percy Jackson has got mortals involved in sucha brilliant spotlight and that's one thing I've definitely not seen in Harry Potter. Muggles are either timid, resentful, angry, irritable or evil. One more way in which Rick proved that ANYONE can be a hero, Kudos!
