Crush On Set
Hi there, so... I have had a soft spot for Joseph for quite a while now, ever since he first appeared as Eddie Munson on screen for Stranger Things. And because I felt like it, I wrote a little story about how (Y/N) became Joseph's girlfriend as an actress for Stranger Things herself. So enjoy <3 English is not my first language, so please be kind and ignore any spelling or grammar mistakes! Word Count: 5k Content Warning: brief mentions of sexual intercourse (but no exact description), one night stand, fluff, angst, reader is female, mentions of virginity
Plot: When a practice session with Joseph in her trailer leads to unexpected intimacy, (Y/N) first thought their friendship crashed because of this. But a heart-to-heart conversation finally reveals the sweet truth.
Tumblr media
Feeling a bit stressed out, (Y/N) leans against the edge of the table in her trailer, reading the script for tomorrows scenes.
A knock on her door snaps her out of her thoughts and she looks up, eyes fixating on the door across the room before (Y/N) realizes she has to call the person in.
"Come in!", she says and puts the script down, waiting for her guest to enter. When she sees the small, cute little curls and these puppy-dog eyes, her breath gets stuck in her throat and she can't help but smile at her colleague.
"Hey (Y/N/N), mind if I come in?", Joseph asks in a sweet voice, smiling ever so softly at the girl, to what she only nods quickly. Her eyes scan his body as he moves to close the door behind him, a silent gasp escaping her when he isn't looking.
"Done for today?", she asks to not make her staring too awkward, when in reality she still can't comprehend how insanely beautiful this man in front of her is.
Joseph turns back to her and offers a wide smile, almost melting her heart with this simple gesture, and after that he nods and takes a seat on the couch only a few meters away from the girl.
"I see you're reading the script for tomorrow? You okay?," he suddenly asks and points at the sheets of paper in her hands. She takes a quick look at the paper before nodding, a bit confused about his question.
"Yea, why wouldn't I be?", she asks in a low voice, a little insecure about this whole situation. For the first time since she arrived here and got to know the other actors, she isn't sure about her knowledge in English. English isn't (Y/N)'s first language, yet she always manages to work it out even if she doesn't understand everything.
"I mean the scene we're going to shoot tomorrow," Joseph then says and raises his eyebrows, to which (Y/N) sighs a little.
"Oh, the kissing scene? I guess, I mean... when the Duffer Brothers told me I got the role and I signed the contract, they said things like this could happen and asked if I'm okay with it, but now that it's actually happening..."
Her voice trails off and she lowers her head a little, making it clear to Joseph that she indeed is insecure about the kiss.
"You okay with it being me?", the male continues asking and instantly, her eyes snap back to his.
"Yea, sure, uhm... don't get me wrong, you're amazing Joseph and I wouldn't want anyone else to do this with, it's just... my lack of experience, rather."
Josephs ears perk up and he raises his eyebrows at the girl in front of her.
"You never kissed anyone before?", he asks, more curious than judging, and he sees her cheeks turning into a soft pink.
"I did, but... I was drunk and it was more of a messy make-out session, not a kiss with love... Eddie and (Y/C/N) have feelings for each other, the kiss in the script is soft and intense, passionate... I, yea, never did that, to be honest," she then says, putting a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
Joseph looks at her for a couple of seconds before he gets up and walks up to her, stopping about a meter away from her. Her eyes look up into his brown ones, creating an intense exchange of looks.
"You never had a partner?", Joseph asks quietly, resisting the urge to raise his hand and brush his thumb over her rosy cheek. She looks beautiful like this, a little flushed and all innocent. When she actually shakes her head to his question, he feels a small outburst of happiness inside him.
"Nobody ever wanted to be with me. If I liked them, they didn't. Same the other way around," she whispers with an undoubtedly sad tone in her voice, making Josephs heart ache.
He takes a deep breath and tries to stay calm, thinking about the next thing to say and whether it's too risky or not.
"You wanna... practice a bit?", he asks, his voice more of a whisper than anything more. He watches how her eyes grow bigger, clearly taken by surprise by his question.
"Wh- what do you mean?", she asks back, her voice now a little shaky.
"We can go through the scene, act it out here just for the two of us. Getting comfortable with the setting, preparing for tomorrow. I just want you to be relaxed, not too nervous to film this scene," Joseph explains calmly and offers a warm smile, now raising his hand to tuck another strand of hair behind her ear.
His touch burns on her skin, making her lean into his touch a little more, completely unconscious. Joseph takes a deep breath on her movement, his heart jumping excitedly at the thought of her liking him back.
When she first entered the conference room a few months ago and was introduced to the rest of the team, Joseph thought she was really cute. She still is. And after he really got to know her, something inside him knew that he'd like her more than a friend. He knew he'd develop a crush on her, and now, there's the possibility of her liking him too.
He'd lie if he'd say that he offered to act out this scene beforehand to only make her comfortable. Joseph wants to prepare himself for tomorrow as well, being a little scared of how he'd react if they'd kiss for the first time in front of the camera.
It's not his first on-screen kiss, but he never had feelings for his acting partner before. Joseph is also nervous about tomorrow. When he found out that (Y/C/N) and Eddie, both their characters in Stranger Things, like each other that way and will actually kiss on-screen, it took him a whole hour to process this.
"You'd really do that?", (Y/N)'s voice gets him back into reality and he softly nods, keeping up his calm but soft behaviour.
"O-Okay...", she whispers, making both their hearts jump at this simple word, both not knowing about their feelings for each other.
She gets up wo walk to the wall next to her table, leaning against it and trying to get into her character (Y/C/N). Joseph follows her, raising a hand to put it above her head, imitating the pillar they lean on in the real scene.
"Ready?", he asks in a low voice, almost raspy, and (Y/N) takes a deep breath.
"Yea, it's just a bit hard to imagine you as Eddie right now, the long hair is missing."
Her voice sounds almost teasing, making Joseph smile a bit and he shakes his head.
"Just try your best. If you can do it now, it's gonna be easier for you tomorrow," he encourages her and she nods, taking a deep breath and trying to get into the scene. She knows her text, it's not really a lot, but still, she's incredibly nervous.
When she opens her eyes again, Joseph knows she's ready, so he starts with a line from him.
"Chrissy was in my trailer to buy some drugs, that's the only reason why she was there. The feelings I had for her are long gone already, believe me," he says, now as Eddie Munson with an American accent and he looks her deep in the eyes, nothing but the truth speaking.
(Y/N), or rather (Y/C/N) now, had her arms crossed in front of her chest, now letting them fall limp next to her torso while staring into Eddie's brown eyes.
Her breath becomes faster as she tries to stay calm, both (Y/N) and (Y/C/N) speaking the same language at the moment. Eddie licks his lips, his eyes now glued onto hers which are parted ever so lightly.
(Y/C/N) moves her head a little into his direction, so Eddie places a hand onto her hips almost automatically, not a lot of space left between them.
(Y/C/N) takes one last deep breath before she raises her hands to place them on Eddie's cheeks to pull his face close to her. The next moment, their lips finally touch and both feel how they nearly melt into each other.
Joseph has to try everything to keep the sigh inside that threatens to leave his body, now that he finally knows what her lips feel like. He's glad that they 'practice' before the actual shooting, he wouldn't have been able to control himself if tomorrow would've been the first kiss between them.
(Y/N) feels the exact same way, even if she's still a little hesitant to do something wrong. But the way Joseph returns the kiss makes her feel safe, so she quickly settles and actually enjoys the situation, completely caught up in the moment.
Their lips move against each other in a simple, yet loving rhythm and both of them feel how they start to lose themselves in the moment. (Y/N) unwillingly moves a little closer towards Joseph, so he puts a bit more pressure into their touch, her now being trapped between the man and the wall.
Joseph's hand wanders down the wall until he reaches her head, he entangles the hand in her soft hair. It's a little messy and still damp, seems like (Y/N) showered only a few minutes before.
The pressure of her hands increases a little, pulling Joseph into a deeper kiss, without them both realizing they're getting lost in the heat of the moment. Joseph's hand tightens on the girl's waist, pressing their bodies closer to each other.
There is a moment where they're supposed to disconnect their lips. But that's just what the script says, the two easily miss this moment, too caught up in the kiss.
Without realizing it, they deepen the kiss step by step until Joseph tries to make the next move: his tongue softly swipes over her lower lip to ask for entrance, but that's the moment where (Y/N) becomes aware of the whole scenario.
She breaks the kiss and takes a deep breath, her eyes still glued onto Joseph's lips, which were still connected with hers only a few seconds ago. One look into his half-lidded eyes, though, and she sees how he doesn't care that the intensity of the kiss wasn't scripted.
Both take deep breaths, trying to gain back control while still looking at each other and staying extremely close.
The next second, Joseph pulls (Y/N) in again and presses his lips against hers, craving more than he would've thought. It takes the girl a second to realize what happens before she also kisses him, as intensively as he offers.
Joseph's hands travel downwards to (Y/N)'s thighs and he squeezes them a little, to what (Y/N) slightly jumps and wraps her legs around Joseph's lower body. The two move even closer together, now basically drunk on each other, pressed close.
(Y/N) entangles her hands in the soft locks of the man in front of her and gently pulls them a little to which Joseph silently groans into her mouth. She feels how all of this is affecting him and it makes her cheeks burn.
She doesn't have any experience when it comes to sex, even this kiss is more than she ever did. But surprisingly, she feels okay, even comfortable with Joseph. He makes her feel safe and leads her when she doesn't know what to do.
"Is this okay?", Joseph asks against her lips in that exact moment, and all (Y/N) can do is nod. Her mind is fogged up, but Joseph feels the same. Just one more second and he would've lost control. This has to stop right now or he won't be able to hold back.
But as soon as (Y/N) leans in again and the man feels her soft, pink lips against his own, he knows he lost this fight.
Joseph applies pressure on (Y/N)'s legs to push away from the wall and walk towards her bed. He gently places her down and leans above her, not breaking the kiss once. (Y/N) now crosses her arms in his neck to pull him even closer, not caring anymore about her lack of experience.
All she wants now is to feel Joseph, be even closer to him than now already. Guess that's what you call sexual tension, right?
The next morning, (Y/N) slowly opens her eyes and brushes some strands of hair away from her face. But when she realizes it's not only her own hair, her whole body freezes. She moves her head the slightest bit, only to be greeted by a picture sent straight from heaven.
Joseph's head lays all cuddled up on (Y/N)'s still bare chest, his arms tightly and securely wrapped around her. Some of his curls cover his still closed eyes and his now completely relaxed eyebrows. His lips are parted ever so slightly, allowing soft, almost inaudible snores to escape his mouth.
An intoxicating, comfortable warmth radiates from Joseph's body, but exactly this warmth and the closeness to this man is what makes (Y/N) sweat right now. Not in a good way, though.
She starts trying to escape Joseph's tight grip, and after a few failed attempts, she finally manages to. Grabbing her clothes, (Y/N) puts them on fast yet still quietly to not wake Joseph. Relieved that her plan worked out, she gets up and grabs her phone when her eyes find her alarm clock.
Joseph has to wake up soon as well since today will be a pretty busy day shooting, but it would be best if (Y/N) isn't there when he does. So, to not make him oversleep, she sets an alarm that'll go off in about two minutes, enough time for her to escape.
Before she leaves, (Y/N) quickly brushes her fingers through Joseph's soft yet a bit unruly curls. Then she gets up and leaves her trailer, heading directly towards the food-trailer. She didn't eat a lot yesterday evening, she was... busy.
When the images of last night come to her mind, she has to swallow hard. It's not like she only wanted sex, (Y/N) was incredibly happy that Joseph seemed to crave her as much as she did, but now that it's the next day... (Y/N) just fears she was nothing more than a little one-off, that what happened between her and Joseph didn't mean anything to him.
The girl reaches her destination and shortly greets everyone inside before grabbing some food and sitting down somewhere in peace to enjoy her breakfast. The silence doesn't last long, though, since one of the stylists walks up to her, a little concern in her face.
"Hey (Y/N), do you know where Joseph is?", she asks and a little shiver runs down (Y/N)'s spine at the mention of his name, but she quickly composes herself.
"I don't know, but I guess he should be here soon. Joseph never oversleeps, don't worry."
As soon as (Y/N) ended her sentence, the door of the trailer opened and someone enters. When she looks in Joseph's direction, she freezes once again, forgetting about the food in her hands.
"Speaking of the devil...", she whispers and nods her head towards Joseph to signal the stylist he's there. When (Y/N) sees Joseph starting to walk up to her, she's almost relieved about the make-up artist stopping him and talking to him.
"Na-ah Joseph, we don't have much time left. Grab something to eat and then we go into mask, today's a busy schedule!", the stylist says, and (Y/N) watches how Joseph takes a deep breath before turning away and starting his working day without being able to talk to (Y/N).
She watches how he leaves the trailer together with the stylist and then flinches when someone else sits down right next to her.
"Wohow, chill! It's just me, don't be scared!", Sadie says and raises her hands to calm her friend down, while (Y/N) takes a deep breath and runs a hand over her face.
"You alright?", the redhead asks and tilts her head slightly, to what (Y/N) slowly nods.
"Yea sure, just... didn't get a lot of sleep yesterday," she explains, and it's true. But it's not like she really had the opportunity to try, anyway...
"I bet, you really look sleepy. Had your mind full of today, I guess?", Sadie continues asking and again, (Y/N) nods. Good, her friend thinks she couldn't sleep because of todays shooting scenes and not because she actually slept with Joseph Quinn.
The girls finish their breakfast together, chatting a little here and there to prevent any complete silence and to keep (Y/N)'s mind off the kiss scene. Before that scene happens, (Y/N) still has to shoot some scenes all alone, but at the moment, this is better than the scenes with Joseph.
Hopefully, this is not going to be awkward, the two still didn't have the chance to talk without somebody listening and (Y/N) tries her best to avoid the man the best she can. But even if she tried everything to not talk to Joseph because she's scared of what he's going to say, there is a point where she can't avoid him anymore.
One of the stylists is quickly fixing the way (Y/N)'s hair looks and checks up on her make-up, while the girl is trying her best to not freak out. She already spotted Joseph, now in his full Eddie costume with those long, wild curls and metal-like outfit.
"Okay (Y/N), you're good to go!", the stylist then says and the brunette quickly nods before stepping to the scenery, trying to concentrate on what's about to happen. She looks at the director who's instructing everyone to take their places before her gaze travels to the man she's been avoiding this whole day until now.
Joseph meets her gaze and nods at her, a small, supportive smile on his lips to tell (Y/N) she can do this. This small gesture is enough for her to calm down enough and when the director yells his typical "And... ACTION!", she's instantly in her role as (Y/C/N).
They act out the scene effortlessly, and even if there are some small improvisations from Joseph, everything goes by very smoothly. That's until the scene comes up that (Y/N) and Joseph practiced yesterday before everything... got out of hand.
(Y/N) can feel herself getting more and more nervous the closer the kissing scene comes, but yet she still manages to stay in character and keep everything going. Here and there, a little nervousness slips, but it's still good enough for the scene and the atmosphere, so they don't get cut off.
And when the kiss finally happens, every single drop of affection (Y/N) feels for Joseph rushes through her whole body and into the kiss, making it a little more intense than scripted. In this moment, (Y/N) and (Y/C/N) feel the same, the actress doesn't even have to act in this very situation.
But what she doesn't know: Joseph feels the exact same way.
When the time comes and they have to break the kiss, it's pretty hard for the both of them, but they are able to, still caught up in the moment. Unscripted, Joseph leans forward and leans his forehead against (Y/N)'s, but since Joseph is known to add some improvisations to the scenes, nobody complains.
"Cut! Guys, that was amazing, your chemistry is magical! This scene was absolutely perfect, nothing to add here, we can move on!", the director then shouts and breaks the intense moment between (Y/N) and Joseph.
They had to film some more scenes together directly afterwards, but they were easy compared to the kissing scene, so they went very smoothly and soon enough, everything is done.
"Okay you two, thank you so much, that was great work! You can go and enjoy your evening, we'll continue tomorrow! And for the others, let's get to work, we still have a lot to do!"
That's (Y/N)'s sign to leave the scene and go into the mask to let the stylists take off her make-up and the clothes, letting her change back into some more comfortable ones. After that she leaves the trailer, in hopes she can go and find Jamie. He's always been there for her, almost like a brother for her, so she wants to talk to him. About Joseph, about what happened yesterday and about her feelings for the curly-brownhaired man.
"Jamie!", she yells when she finally finds the blonde man, but it seems like he's right about to get into costume.
"Jamie, can we... can we talk?", (Y/N) asks nonetheless, in hopes this is somehow possible. The girl fiddles her fingers, feels how every drop of sweat runs down on her skin and makes it pretty obvious that something is bothering her.
"Oh honey, I'm sorry... I have to get into costume and you know how much time this always takes...", Jamie answers and (Y/N) feels how the disappointment washes over her.
"Oh, uhm... sure, I didn't mean to disturb you or postpone anything," she mumbles an apology and excuses herself before heading back to her own trailer.
When she enters it, her eyes stay on the bed for a moment, re-living what happened in it yesterday. Her throat feels dry and she opens a bottle of water to maybe cool herself down. The bottle then nearly falls onto the floor when (Y/N) hears the knock on her door. For a moment, she stays silent and just watches the door, trying to find out who it could be.
"Y-yeah?", she then says with a shaky voice, a little insecure if she wants to welcome her visitor in or not. But when she recognizes the long, blonde hair from Jamie, she instantly feels relieved.
"Hey darling," he greets her and offers her a warm, brother-like smile while entering. (Y/N) returns the gesture and sits down on her bed, inviting Jamie to do the same. When the man sits down and turns his head questioningly, all (Y/N) can do is sigh.
"What's bothering my little girl? I see how everything up there in your brain is working, did something happen?", Jamie asks and the girl takes a deep deep breath. Jamie is also good friends with Joseph, so maybe this will be problematic, but (Y/N) just has to talk about the night with somebody.
"I slept with Joseph," she says bluntly and after that, silence takes over the trailer.
"W-wow, okay, that's some news. How did it happen, when did it happen?", Jamie asks carefully and (Y/N) gulps, her hands sweaty and shaky.
"Yesterday in my trailer. Joseph visited me and we wanted to prepare for the kissing scene. You know that I have barely any experience and I was so incredibly nervous, so acting out the scene before the actual shooting seemed like a good idea. We started and everything went well, until... you know, it happened," she tries to explain and Jamie listens to his best friend until she's done.
"How was it?", he then asks and (Y/N) sighs loudly.
"It was good, Joseph was very careful, he knew that it was my first time. I just- I'm scared that it was just a one night stand for him," she finally admits and looks at Jamie, who then realizes what the girl means.
"Oh honey, you like him, right?", he deduces and (Y/N) gulps heavily before nodding. Jamie exhales loudly and scoots closer to take her in his arms and gently brush over her arm.
"You should talk to him. I know, the thought of being rejected is horrifying, but then you know what's going on between you two. Besides, I really have a feeling that Joseph has a huge crush on you."
"You think?", (Y/N) asks and Jamie nods.
"Pretty much, yes. You two were completely sober when things happened. You may have been overwhelmed by your emotions and were completely mind-blown, but Joseph is no virgin anymore. He's aware of his emotions and everything, so my guess is that he just couldn't help himself. He lost the fight against his emotions in that situation because he kissed his crush and in the end it led to you guys hooking up."
When Jamie then left a few minutes later to finally get into his costume, (Y/N) stayed in her trailer to think about what to do. She's still anxious, but Jamie is right, she has to talk to Joseph. Sighing heavily, she gets up again and throws on a hoodie before leaving the trailer to head outside and look for Joseph.
There is still some filming going on,  many people are walking around, but Joseph is nowhere to be seen. (Y/N) was on the verge of giving up for today since she'd be able to see the man tomorrow for sure, but that's when she finally discovers him. He's on his way to his trailer, probably to end his working day, so this is the perfect chance to talk to him.
"Joseph!", (Y/N) yells and runs after the man, luckily he heard her and stopped his movements. Joseph watches how the girl comes closer, a cute, big hoodie on that's hiding her beautifully shaped body, making his heart flutter and his body heat up. Yesterday was magical for him, he enjoyed every single second. But now that (Y/N) ignored him all day long except for the scenes they had together, he's insecure about how she feels.
"We, uhm - I think we should talk," (Y/N) then says when she reaches him, standing in front of him and fiddling her fingers, visibly nervous about the tension between the two of them.
"You mean you want to talk about yesterday night?", Joseph asks and turns towards her completely. (Y/N) takes a deep breath and slowly nods.
"Y-yeah, about yesterday, but more specifically... about the two of us," she answers and gulps again, her throat incredibly dry. It's silent for a moment until Joseph nods and invites her into his trailer, so the two enter the vehicle and sit down on the couch, a bit of space between them.
"So, about last night...", Joseph begins, knowing too well how anxious the girl next to him must be, she never had this kind of talk before, especially if this turns out to be nothing more than a one night stand.
"Listen Joseph, I really don't know how this happened. I mean, we acted out the scene and everything was fine, but then... I- I don't...", (Y/N) says, completely overwhelmed, it makes Joseph's heart ache to see her so confused. Did he take it too far? Was it too much to sleep with her? He just... it was perfect in that moment and both of them were fine with it, he didn't even think about the fact she was a virgin. He just... he took her virginity just because he lost control and gave in to his emotions.
"(Y/N), hey...", the man says because of that, feeling bad for making her feel like this, and he softly grabs her hand to make her look at him. She does so, her eyes all big and surprised.
"I didn't mean to make you insecure or confused with what happened between us last night. I know you were overwhelmed by your emotions, that's okay. I was the one that should've stopped, I'm the one with the experience. I understand if it was too much for you and you don't really feel anything for me except for friendship maybe, just say if it was a one night stand for you and we can forget everything, stay friends if you want to."
(Y/N) watches Joseph's face, listens to his words and gulps heavily when he finished his little monologue. Tears rise in the corners of her eyes, threatening to flow over and when Joseph sees this, he raises his eyebrows and instantly pulls her close, embracing her and calming her down the best way he can.
"I- I don't want it to be like that, Jo...", (Y/N) whispers and Joseph looks down to her, seeing how she does cry silently now. The girl slowly pulls away again and looks him in the eyes, locking eye contact.
"Please don't tell me that yesterday meant nothing to you, Jo," she pleads and Joseph raises his eyebrows, a little surprised by her words. But then his gaze becomes soft and he gently pushes away a strand of hair from her beautiful face.
"No darling, yesterday meant a lot to me. From the first day I got to know you, I knew I'd like you, and these feelings grew every day we've got so spend with each other. When I found out about Eddie's and (Y/C/N)'s kiss scene, my heart went wild," he explains calmly and sees how (Y/N) starts to realize what he means.
"Actually, I initially came to your trailer because I wanted to talk to you about my feelings for you. I was scared about the kissing scene, I was scared I might lose myself in the moment just like I did yesterday. So, asking you to practice was also to prepare myself for the scene as well."
(Y/N) gulps heavily, her tears dried down by now, replaced by a look full of hope, maybe even a little love.
"You... you mean you have f-feelings for me? You...", she tries to say, completely taken by surprise about these new information. Joseph smiles at her loss of words, but all he does is nod softly to confirm her guess. It wouldn't end good in any other way. Even if (Y/N) somehow doesn't like him like that, he just couldn't stay silent about that anymore.
"You- wow...", (Y/N) whispers, this just can't be happening. Someone she likes actually likes her back? And this special someone is Joseph Quinn?
She stays silent for a little more time until this outburst of happiness just overwhelms her and she throws herself onto him, hugging him really tight. Joseph laughs at her actions, holding her tight and secure in his arms until she leans away again, smiling brightly at the man.
"Can I take this as an 'I like you too'?", Joseph asks with a low laughter, making (Y/N) bite her lip to keep herself from smiling too much.
"Yes... a 100% yes," she whispers and places her hands on his cheeks to pull him close for a kiss and to finally feel his lips on hers again, this time really sure this is okay and that it is because of love and not just the moment.
Before yesterday she never would've dreamt of this scenario, I mean Joseph Quinn as your boyfriend?
But now... now everything is perfect, (Y/N) couldn't be happier. And Joseph couldn't be, either...

Two Broken Souls
Alright, I've thought about this quite a while and I believe this is a situation which could actually happen. Billy is an asshole, yes, but he's also a broken boy. Maybe, if you somehow manage to peek beneath his bad boy-facade, you can see the real Billy Hargrove. Because I do somehow believe that there's something good inside him. English is not my first language, so please be kind and ignore any spelling or grammar mistakes! Word Count: 3.4k Content Warning: mentions of abuse and suicide, angst, mentions of alcoholism, language
Plot: After you and Billy accidentally discover how painfully similar your back stories are, you begin to warm up with each other. Both dealing with an abusive father, you start to seek comfort in each other, getting closer together than originally anticipated.
Tumblr media
Billy was a broken boy. You always thought he was because of the way he acted towards everyone. He was an asshole, never treated anyone fairly, especially not women. So, you originally wanted to stay away from him, refusing to be one of his little toys. And it worked, he was never able to make a move on you. Until you got to know Max a lot better. You started hanging out with her, she was a great friend even if she was three years younger than you.
The first time you went to her house was when she wanted to attend the Snow Ball and asked you to make your hair. You were a little hesitant since it also meant you could meet Billy, but still, you decided to go and do this favor for Max. When you arrived at the house and got invited by Max’s mother, there was no sight of Billy. You talked with Max and had a great time while braiding her hair. She enjoyed spending time with you, was happy to finally have someone similar to the big sister she never had, and she admired how easy the way you braided her red hair looks. Still, she was a little insecure about this ball, and whether she should really go or not. You gently smiled at her and made sure that she realized how pretty she is. And really, Max looked adorable in her fit for the Snow Ball.
Just when you secured the last braid of Max’s hair, someone stepped into the hallway behind you, you can see it through the mirror. And when your eyes met Billy’s, it took you a lot of strength not to react. But instead of saying anything, his gaze just wandered to Max and back to you before he walked off silently, confusing you even more.
“The hell is wrong with Hargrove?” you muttered to yourself, but Max heard you.
“Taught him a lesson when he wanted to force me to come back here. I hope he finally respects me more,” she answered quietly and now you looked her in the eyes through the mirror, a little surprised.
“Taught him a lesson?” you asked and Max nodded, a hint of pride visible in her eyes.
“Yep, I nearly smashed his balls with a baseball bat, threatened to do it if he won’t leave me alone,” she explained as if it’s nothing and you couldn’t help but laugh at her braveness.
“You’re one of a kind, Max,” you laughed and gently rubbed her back, then gestured her that she’s finished.
“You can go and get your mom, you’ll have to leave soon to not be too late.”
Max got up, but looked at you a little sad.
“Why don’t you come with me? It would be more fun with you around,” she said, but you shook your head, declining gently.
“No no, I don’t like stuff like this. You go and have fun, it will be awesome, I know it,” you assured her and finally, she left to get her mother. You originally wanted to leave together with Max and her mother and then drive back home, but halfway out of the door, you realized you forgot your jacket. So, you said goodbye to the two women and walked inside the house again to look after your piece of clothes. Just when you found it, you could hear loud voices. You froze in your spot, easily recognizing one of the voices as Billy’s and the other one you believed was from his father. You hesitated, not meaning to invade their privacy, but from what you could hear the two say and the volume they argued at, you were a bit worried. So, you silently walked up the stairs of the house towards where you believed the argument was located. Right when you step into the doorframe of Billy’s room, you froze on the spot. You were greeted by a scene of violence, Billy’s father Neil grabbing Billy’s arm tightly and slapping him across the face, scolding the boy for how he apparently misbehaved a few minutes ago downstairs. When you saw Neil hitting his son, instant flashbacks flooded you and you couldn’t help but just stare. Billy was the first to spot you, and his eyes widened. Neil also looked over his shoulder and realized that you saw his punishment on Billy, instantly letting go of him.
“What on earth are you doing here?” Neil asked infuriated, and you slowly came back to reality, looking at Neil shocked.
“I think the better question is, what on earth are you doing with Billy?!” you asked instead of answering, making Neil even more angry with this.
“It’s none of your business how I educate my son,” he wanted to divert attention from the scenery you all are in, and you shook your head disbelievingly.
“Wha- educate? What you’re doing to him has fucking nothing to do with education!” you blurted out, anger now visible in your own eyes. Neil raised a finger at you, as if he wanted to threaten you as well.
“Watch the way you’re talking to me, child. Show me some goddamn respect!”
You laughed out, shaking your head at his audacity.
“To people like you that are abusing their children? Oh, I talk to you the way I fucking want to, you don’t deserve any kind of respect from me!” you spat right back at him and could see from the look in his eyes that he really wanted to teach you a lesson there, too. But he couldn’t do that. If he would have, he’d be in real trouble, and he knew. That’s why he stayed silent and just looked at you furious.
“I’ll handle it, sir. Let me handle this,” Billy intervened and walked towards you, eventually guiding you outside and to your car.
“Tell anyone about this and I’ll kill you myself,” was what he said back then, and you never thought that incident would actually bring you two closer together. But from that day on, yours and Billy’s looks had crossed several times throughout the day, and you knew he was making sure that you kept your mouth shut. You did, you never told anyone, not even Max. And after a while, Billy slowly began to ease at your knowledge, somehow trusting you with the information you had. He nodded at you when you met in the hallways at school or when you saw each other at the parking lot, and you always just nodded back, it almost became a habit of the two of you. But that was it, nothing else happened.
Until he found out about your family, as well. It was by accident, he was on his way to a date and drove past your house, not even realizing it at first. But then, he saw your car outside, and you together with your father. You were screaming at your old man, furious about how drunk he was again already, when that man grabbed you by the hair and pulled you inside your house. Billy instantly took a turn and stopped at your house, going inside and saving you from a beating of your father. He refused to leave you alone, took you with him in his Camaro to a spot a little outside of Hawkins, and there, you told him everything. How your mother died by suicide, how your father abused not only you but used to do it with your mother as well, how drunk your father always was. And how you always tried to act like it didn’t bother you at all. You always tried to keep a steady composure, act like you’re perfectly fine. And until that day, nobody knew that you had to deal with shit like this. Billy admired you and the way you handled everything, but on the other side, he was irritated at how differently you reacted to him. You both had the same problems, yet he became the biggest jerk at school, a big asshole, while you always kept being the pure girl you are. The pure, sweet and kind girl he got to know. And now he found out about your cruel backstory, and he felt bad. Safe to say, after what he just found out, Billy never made it to that date.
After that day, you really started to feel a connection with Billy. You didn’t want to admit it, but the abusive nature of both your fathers was what brought you together. You both sought some weird way of comfort in the fact that the two of you now had someone who understood you, even if you never really talked about it. Billy hesitantly opened up to you too, about his father and a little bit about his mother as well. It wasn’t a lot, Billy is not good with talking about feelings, but still, you felt a little proud that he trusted you enough by now to talk about his family issues. It was a late summer day then, you both were the last ones to leave the school after he had his basketball practice and you after staying longer to finish a school project. It happened that you both parked your cars directly next to each other, and after just some small talk, he opened up a little. He didn’t talk about it much, but that was okay for you, you were just happy that he chose you as the person to talk to. Nobody else knows anything about this part in his life, it always made you kind of special. You had something nobody else ever had before, and it made you a little proud. It made you stand out, for both Billy and the rest.
The first real change in his behavior you noticed was how Billy started avoiding being violent when you were around. You first realized it when, in school, Billy was in a heated argument with Jason about something you didn’t even know, and a crowd was watching the two men. When you stepped into the circle, however, and Billy realized, he decided to let Jason go and not beat him up. You didn’t think too much of it, but it happened more than once. And eventually, he stopped provoking fights completely. He still was the heated Billy Hargrove the whole school knew by then, he still was this cocky jerk who thought was ‘the king’. But he wasn’t physically violent anymore, not that you knew. You heard of a few fights, but those were always because someone else started it and Billy only defended himself. Billy tried to keep this kind of violence away from you, keep these ’news’ about a fight away from you. He somehow didn’t want you to think about him as a violent teenager with anger issues, he slowly started caring about your opinion. He wanted you to not think bad of him anymore. And when he realized this, he was irritated at first, but kind of accepted it at last. He kept these thoughts to himself, however.
Then he stopped complaining about you hanging out with Max at their house, he instead started greeting you there, too. He slowly warmed up with the fact to see you around this often. He started feeling at ease whenever he saw you in their house, whenever he heard your voice, your laugh from either the living room or Max’s room. He stopped commenting on how ‘weird’ it was to hang out with a girl that much younger than you. He admitted to himself, by then he was kind of happy that you and Max got along that well. He was able to see you sometimes daily, after school as well. It was an unfamiliar feeling for him, because normally, girls his age didn’t ever spend that much time around him. Especially without him making a move on them. Especially when he was attracted to them. And he was attracted to you, he knew that for a while already.
He eventually stopped flirting with every girl he saw at school, his flirty actions became more and more rare. It looked like the only girl he really payed attention to was you, still always nodding at you when he saw you, looking at you whenever he could. Everyone at school noticed, the girls weren’t too thrilled about Billy seemingly settling on one girl and that it wasn’t them. The boy were irritated, surprised about how Billy wasn’t interested in flirting with every female around him anymore. He tried to, at first, he tried to get his mind off of you by spending even more time with other girls, but he never entirely stopped thinking about you. And because he finally realized it was useless, he stopped hanging out with all these girls, stopped going on dates, stopped fooling around. It was foreign for him, only thinking about one girl and being this occupied with her, yet, he slowly warmed up to that fact as well. Still keeping his thoughts to himself. You noticed all this, you noticed the changes in Billy’s behavior. But you didn’t allow yourself to think that is was possibly because of you. Nobody could make Billy Hargrove change, no girl was able to twist his mind that much, and especially, if nothing ever happened physically between the two of you. You weren’t unpopular or ugly, but there were other girls at school far more attractive and popular, so why would it be you, out of all of them? You simply refused to think that Billy got interested in you, that he wanted to change because of you. When, in fact, you were his entire reason.
Then, he slowly started to actually talk to you when you were at their house, in the kitchen for example. He would occasionally ask about your day, try his best to cautiously ask about your father and if he did something. And when he found out that you’re actually interested in the same type of music as him, you two started talking a lot about this. It almost became natural to talk to him when you were visiting them, you finally started to feel comfortable around Billy. You enjoyed your little talks when bumping into him at their house, smiled at him every now and then, and finally, Billy got comfortable enough to smile at you genuinely as well, not with his typical flirty smirk. Max noticed very quickly that you and Billy got along with each other, and at first, she was hesitant, even warned you about him. But the more time went by, the more she realized that her step-brother actually started changing. She saw the way Billy looked at you, the way he treated you. She saw how he stopped bringing girls home, how his cocky behavior slowly faded around you and was replaced by a more natural, softer version of Billy. And she saw how he acted when you were around, it was obvious that he wanted you to think good of him. Max didn’t want to believe it, but at some point, it was painfully obvious for her: Billy Hargrove, the guy whose cold heart no girl was able to win over, fell for her best friend. He caught feelings for you.
And then finally, he asked you to hang out privately, just the two of you. It wasn’t initially labeled as a ‘date’, but in secret, you both kind of hoped that it was one. He picked you up after school and you drove to Lover’s Lake, spending the day there together. And you actually had a great time. Nothing happened, you just hung out together and talked a lot, you even shared a few laughs together. It was nice seeing Billy laugh in an authentic way, not his typical ‘bad boy laugh’ to impress ladies, his real laugh made him look genuine and pure, you enjoyed seeing him like this. At that point, you couldn’t help yourself anymore, you liked the new Billy. You liked the Billy he was around you, the Billy he showed to you. You liked how he changed, and you really hoped he did it for you. At school, he still somewhat was the old Billy Hargrove, but when you were around, he got softer, even at school. When his friends started noticing, Billy was quick to teach them not to make fun of it, but still, he always kept it calm around you. It was obvious for the whole school, for everyone but the two of you.
You hung out quite often after you first ‘date’, Billy even started talking to you openly at school. He behaved differently towards you, like an actual decent guy, not like the old, bad Billy Hargrove he always pretended to be. You didn’t even care about all rumors or mean words about you, you were just happy that Billy finally seemed to heal a little. You enjoyed that he finally openly talked to you and felt comfortable enough to show it to the people at school. Every day, when he met you at your locker and talked to you, you felt happy. You didn’t mean to, but at some point, you had to admit to yourself that you liked him. Liked him a lot more than you intended to in the first place.
Your first kiss was when you really decided to stick together. It was when you found him after another argument with Neil, leaning on the hood of his Camaro in front of their house, smoking a cigarette while trying to regain his composure. You instantly knew what happened, it wasn’t the first time you saw Billy like this. You originally wanted to come over to get something you forgot there the day before, but when you saw Billy outside, you didn’t care about that stupid hat anymore. You went up to Billy, and when he heard your footsteps, he looked over his shoulder, expecting you to be either Susan or Max. But when he saw you, he relaxed. Since you already saw him at his worst, he didn’t really care anymore, he just looked at you, tears in his eyes. You knew what to do, especially since that day sought to be a worse one than others. So, you gently took the cigarette from him and instead, just hugged him. Hugs never happened often between you two, but you knew he just needed it in that moment. And yes, he instantly hugged you back, leaning into you and breathing heavily to not give in to his emotions. You whispered soft words, calming him by gently running your fingers through his hair and you waited for him to calm down again. Moments like these rarely happened, normally, Billy still was the confident boy you got to know, Billy knew how to stay upright even after a fight with his father. But that day, he just needed comfort, that day he wasn’t strong enough. And even if moments like these were extremely rare, you gladly helped him. When Billy finally leaned back again and looked you in the eyes, you could see how hard he was trying to hold back the tears. You didn’t even think about it anymore, you just put your hands on his cheeks and gently brushed your thumbs over his soft skin. He stared right back at you, and after a short moment of just exchanging looks, you finally leaned in and placed your lips on his. Yes, you were the one that kissed him first. A few months before only, you swore to yourself to not let Billy get close to you, and now you were there, breaking your own pledge by kissing him and allowing him to get closer than you ever anticipated. But it felt good, Billy felt good for you. He immediately kissed you back, softly and with much more emotion than you expected, keeping you close to him. Billy broke the kiss first, looking at you with surprisingly much affection and gratitude, he even smiled gently at you. It was a genuine smile, he was completely honest with his emotions in that situation.
“Thank you,” he whispered only, and you just nodded with a small smile on your lips. Months ago, you would’ve scolded yourself now for your weakness, but Billy changed. He changed and now you think it’s worth a shot, you wanted to help him.
Billy may be a broken boy. But you’re broken, too, you both share the same story. You and him are two broken souls.
And two broken souls can heal each other, can become one complete soul.

Echoes of Starcourt: A different fate
Okay, so this is my first post here on tumblr. I've recently been rewatching Stranger Things and I'm not ready to deal with Billy's death at the end of season 3 once again... So I decided to write this little thing to make this more bearable for me... and maybe you as well :) English is not my first language, so please be kind and ignore any spelling or grammar mistakes! Word Count: 2.5k Content Warning: angst, blood, description of blood and injuries, violence, language
Plot: You know about everything regarding the Upside Down and its creatures. But when you see how Billy wants to sacrifice himself to save Eleven, you simply can't let him do that and decide to step in.
Tumblr media
The last thing you remembered was Billy hitting you hard enough that your head hit the wall and knocked you out - just that it wasn’t Billy, he was possessed. Possessed by the Mind Flayer and forced to work for the Spider Monster, the thing that attacked you and your friends only a few minutes ago inside of Starcourt mall. You were with Mike, Eleven and Max, trying to escape Billy that had found you.
It took you some time to regain consciousness, you sat up only slowly, leaning against the wall behind you. Your head hurts, the spot where Billy’s hand had hit you still feeling a little numb. Someone kneeled next to you and when you look up, you recognize Max, with a small bruise on her cheek as well. She looks at you worried.
“Are you guys okay?”, you instantly ask. You take a deep breath to regain your composure and focus on the situation.
“We’re okay, what about you?”, Max asks and makes you look at her. You quickly nod and brush a strand of hair from your face, when you notice that neither Eleven nor Billy are still around.
“Where is Eleven? And Billy?”
“He must’ve taken her with him, to bring her to the Spider Monster. The Mind Flayer wants to eliminate her”, Mike tells you and your eyes widen.
“Shit, we need to save her!”
With that, you get back on your feet and tell the two kids with you to follow you. The three of you run back the hallways, looking for a sign about where El and Billy went. When you reach the main hall of Starcourt, you are greeted by a scene of horror and only just manage to avoid attracting attention and hide behind one of the store's platforms. Shocked, you watch as Billy stands behind the floored Eleven and simply looks up at the Spider Monster, who has come back to get El. Just as the monster is about to attack Eleven, fireworks are suddenly set off to distract the monster. The rest of the troupe, split into groups, throw fireworks from the 4th of July downwards at the Spider Monster: Lucas and Will on one side, Steve and Robin on the other and Jonathan and Nancy from yet another side to cause as much chaos and confusion as possible. Eleven tries to seize the moment and crawl away, but Billy gets hold of her and drags her back. He holds her forcibly on the ground and stares into her eyes, from a distance you can only just make out that the girl is talking to him.
You are in shock, for the moment you can only observe what is happening, but at some point... at some point the fireworks stop again. Billy slowly straightens up as the Spider Monster turns back to Eleven. Your eyes widen as you realize he's trying to stop the monster, see that the old Billy is back. Eleven has somehow managed to stop the Mind Flayer's possession of Billy.
The monster opens its mouth and finally tries to grab Eleven, but Billy grabs the tentacle and struggles against it with all his strength. Both you and Max pause in shock, paralyzed for a moment as this happens.
"No... No, no, no..." you mutter to yourself, and as you see the monster slowly spinning off more tentacles from its fleshy arms, it dawns on you what Billy will face if no one does anything. Your body switches to autopilot, you simply react instinctively.
"You grab Eleven as soon as you can," you say in a surprisingly firm voice to the two kids next to you.
"What are you going to do?" Max asks immediately, but you don't wait any longer, every second counts from here on in. The spider monster wants to sink its claws into Billy, while you now climb out of your cover and simply sprint off. Behind you, out of the corner of your eye, you can see Mike and Max doing the same, but unlike you, they run straight to Eleven and help her get to safety. You, on the other hand, sprint straight towards the danger, your eyes focused solely on Billy. The spider monster seems to notice you, but just as it is about to stab Billy, you finally reach him. Using all your physical strength, you throw yourself against Billy, pulling him with you and out of the tentacles' field of fire. Not a second too soon, the spider monster misses Billy by a hair's breadth.
It doesn't hit Billy, but it does hit you in the shoulder. A searing pain jolts through you as you fall to the ground with Billy, and you immediately feel the blood from the wound start to run down your arm. Nevertheless, it is more important for you to get to safety with Billy, at least for the moment. You crouch down behind a large pot of flowers, both completely out of breath, and press your bodies against the cool material of the pot.
“What the hell did you do, Y/L/N?”, Billy asks and you look at him. For the first time for hours, you can see his normal skin again, not covered in black veins anymore.
“I saved your ass, Hargrove”, you reply and take a first, brief look at the wound on your shoulder. It doesn’t seem to be that deep, but still, it bleeds more than expected.
“Fuck”, Billy curses under his breath when he sees your wound as well, but you’re quick to shake your head.
“We can deal with it later, for now we have to survive this”, you say and look around for a way to escape. Suddenly, you feel something on your leg, and when you look down at it, you see one of the Spider Monster’s tentacles wrapped around it. Your eyes widen, when the monster already pulls you out of your hideout and right into the air. Billy tried to grab you, but he wasn’t quick enough, so now the Spider Monster got you instead of him. It guides you towards its mouth, and you panic once you realize what its about to do. You look around, franticly looking for something to either hold on to or defend yourself with.
Your eyes lock on a flagpole, the flag of the United States ripped apart almost completely. When you reach out, your hands only get ahold of the flag, and it’s quick to rip apart completely, making you yell in distress. Luckily, Steve was quick enough to figure out your plan, he yells your name.
In the next second, he throws a broken flagpole your way, luckily far enough for it to be in your range. Your breath is rapid, and you try everything to wait for the right moment once you caught the pole. You can hear your friends screaming for you to do it, but it’s not the time yet. Right when the Spider Monster opens its mouth to let out its biggest tentacle, you take all of your strength left, ignore the tremendous pain in your shoulder, and sling the pole right into the mouth of that monster, throwing it like a spear. When the broken tip of the pole hits the mouth, the monster roars out a horrifying scream, lets go of your leg and stumbles back, obviously in pain. You fall down onto the ground, screaming in pain yourself when you land right on the wound of your shoulder. Still, you’re quick to turn back around and you see how the monster stumbles right back at you, threatening to tramp you down. In the last second possible, you throw your body to the side, trying to use your injured arm now as little as possible while still escaping this situation. You hide behind one of the pillars supporting the second floor of the hallway, looking through the main hall, breathing heavily. Your eyes lock with Billy’s for a moment and you realize that he made it to where Max, Mike and El are hiding, before you look back at where the Spider Monster is still faltering around. It’s still screaming, but it turned into a scream of frustration rather than one of pain.
You watch as the creature trips and falls, flinching every now and then, before finally becoming quiet, its limbs completely slack. Silence takes over Starcourt, nobody dares to say or do anything, nobody is sure whether it’s over or not.
A few minutes later, the military barges in, securing the area and the body of the Spider Monster. Afterwards, they escort everyone out of the mall, closing it for good. Outside, various ambulances and firetrucks are already waiting, paramedics immediately taking care of everyone visibly injured. You sit down in one of the ambulances and they take a look at your shoulder, making sure nothing is either infected nor are any bones broken from your fall. They put your shoulder in a bandage and your arm in a sling so you don’t move it anymore. It’s obvious that they wanted you to go to the hospital, but you’re quick to decline, wanting to know whether all your friends are safe. So, they reluctantly let you go, insisting that you go to a doctor if your pain gets worse. You only nod and leave the ambulance again, looking around for your friends. You’re quick to find Max, the bruise on her cheek was the only than that had to be checked on, and when she sees you, she quickly runs over to throw herself into your arms.
“It’s alright Max, we’re all okay”, you whisper to the young girl and return her embrace with one arm, feeling how she relaxes again.
“Thank you. For saving Billy, I mean, and for still being alive”, she quietly says and looks up at you, to what you only smile and nod. You always got along well with the small Mayfield, she always told you how she sees a big sister in you, so you can only imagine how relieved she feels that her ‘big sister’ is still alive. And saved her big brother.
You look around for Billy, but can’t find him in the crowd, instead, your eyes land on Eleven. And she looks sad.
“You should go and look after El, something’s wrong”, you say to Max and gesture towards her friend. Max looks at Eleven and then back to you, before nodding and running off to Eleven. You look after her, taking a deep breath.
Suddenly, someone gently puts a blanket over your shoulders, careful about not hurting your injured one. You look to your left, kind of expecting Nancy, but when you see Billy, you raise your eyebrows. He looks a lot better already: his eyes got back this sparkle he always had, his skin looks a lot more rosy and human again, no sign of those black veins left. He doesn’t sweat much as well, he looks healthy again.
“You risked your life back in there for me”, he states after looking at you for a moment, as well. He points at your bandaged shoulder.
“Got hurt because you didn’t want me to die.”
You shrug one shoulder and smile gently.
“Of course I didn’t want you to die. Nobody deserves to die, especially not in a brutal way like this”, you reply and look back front for a moment.
“I was an asshole, to everyone, to you as well. I never treated anyone good, I even hit you there in the mall!”, he tries to argue, but you shake your head.
“That wasn’t you, Billy. It was that thing, it made you do things you didn’t want to. So don’t worry”, you reassure him and look into his eyes calmly. You can see his confusion, his guilt and most of all… fright.
“I can explain you everything you want, but we can do that later. You’re scared, I understand and it’s completely normal. For now, we can be happy to all still be alive, it’s alright”, you say in a soft voice. When you found out about the Upside Down and everything around it, it was a lot for you as well, but Billy was thrown into the picture in a completely different way, a way darker one.
“I can help you, a little at least. If you want to, of course”, you offer and wait for his answer. Billy being Billy, he’d be too proud to accept any kind of help, but maybe… maybe this time it’s different.
Billy is silent for quite a while, averting his gaze from you, clearly thinking hard. Finally, he turns back to you and looks you in the eyes, real and honest.
“I did a lot of bad things, both before and during this… possession, but… if you’re really willing to help me- I’ll gladly take your help”, he answers and you raise your eyebrows, a little surprised at how easily he gave in. But then, you smile gently at him.
“Of course, Billy. I’ll help you.”
He looks at you, his eyes never leaving your face. You look right back at him, seeing something else in his eyes, something you’ve never seen before: Gratitude.
“Thank you. Nobody ever saved my life before. Let alone risked their own life for it.”, Billy whispers and leans in a little closer, making you gulp with both his words and his actions. He’s close, you can already feel his breath on your skin, and instantly, you feel hot. It’s not that you’re inexperienced or too innocent for a kiss, it’s rather… Billy’s history with women and how he treated them. Billy seems to notice about your hesitation, a gentle smile appears on his lips and he brushes a strand of hair away from your face.
“I know what you think, but it’s nothing like that. I’m grateful for what you did for me, and I want to give you at least something back.”
He examines your whole face, a softness in his gaze you never saw before. Billy never acted like this.
“So, can I kiss you?”
You gulp again, taking a deep breath.
“Play with my feelings and I might just kill you myself”, you say, the threat in your words at least partly serious. Billy laughs softly, nodding.
“Understood, hot stuff. I won’t play with your feelings”, he assures you and gently wraps an arm around your waist to pull you in closer. You take a deep breath and nod, finally giving him the signal he wanted. He doesn’t waste another second, leaning in and softly kissing you. His lips feel soft and gentle on yours, not like you always thought they would. Billy’s whole body language speaks nothing truth and affection, he really is thankful for what you did for him. And it makes you just all the more attractive for him. Way more than you already were before.
And he really means it this time.
