Hi! I like your ST5 theories and I like how you used some of the things we already know or have been leaked. But I don't think Frank D is directing Episodes 7 & 8. Shawn Levy said that "the finale is all Duffers, as it should be" that probably means both 7 & 8 because is probably like a two-part finale or something. Thanks for the post, really loved reading it.
Hi! Thank you so much for this little message ;^;
I appreciate it a lot!!
And thanks for telling me about the two episodes being directed by The Duffers entirely! That's great to know!

Stranger Things 5 spoilers:
We're discussing theories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So we knew that the first episode was called "The Crawl" because The Duffers posted a tweet with the script title. However, for the other ones... that's crazy.
So remember there are 8 episodes in total, and we possibly only have 6 of their titles. Let's try to understand them together.
EP1 - So, for The Crawl I personally don't have theories for it. I just thought maybe it was going to be about escaping from someplace, or to get to a place.
EP2 - The Episode 2 is the most intriguing, "The Vanishing of ***** Wheeler." It reminds me a lot of the first episode of season 1: "The Vanishing of Will Byers" so it may have a sort of link. So we know it's a Wheeler, but who. If we count the starts there are 5 of them, maybe it's a random number or maybe they did this on purpose so we can know the number of letters in the name. So, Karen has five letters, Holly has five letters too, Nancy also and Mike and Ted are excluded. So only the women could vanish. Between these 3 characters, we know one has been recast: Holly. So maybe, Holly will be the one to disappear, because in a previous spoiler/leak it has been said that Holly was going to be a target of Vecna, so far we thought it was fake but it could turn out to be true actually. So if it's indeed Holly who disappears, and it could make sense because Will vanished when he was 11 and she's going to be around 8, I have a question, will she also get some sort of powers just like Will in the end when we find her?
And now that I think about it, maybe "The Crawl" is Holly's to try to escape from Vecna but she ends up in the Upside Down anyway?
I think Holly is the most possible Wheeler to vanish. And it has been said many times that Holly can be linked to Vecna in some ways. Lots of fans said that Karen could be Henry's sister and Holly is his nephew. Maybe? He would kidnap her to put pressure on Karen, because we know the parents and especially Karen will play a bigger role this season...
EP3 - "The Turbow Trap" is probably something against Vecna, I don't have anything, except maybe it could be made by Dustin because he's a genius at making stuff (He made Cerebro).
EP4 - "Sorcerer." I don't know why but I feel like it's either Vecna, because he's a sort of sorcerer, or maybe it's Will. Remember that in DnD, Will plays a sort of wizard/cleric. I don't know what could happen but... maybe it's also something else. It is probably in this episode that Holly comes back because they could all try to confront this Sorcerer, so Vecna.
EP5 - "Shock Jock" makes me think of "Trick or Treat, freak" an episode of season 2. The episode's name is kinda similar, I don't know how to explain that. But it's a goofy title to something dramatic like in the Halloween one. Jock could be Joyce. It's a shock to Joyce? Maybe something could happen to Will?
EP6 - This episode has probably the weirdest title of them all. "Escape from Camazotz." So... Camazotz is a Bat, more precisely a God who's form is a bat. He's a creature with the head of a bat and the body of a human, really weird to put this in the show. It's from the religion of the Maya, he's associated to night, death and sacrifice. But that's in real life. In DnD, Camazotz is the "Demon Lord of Bats and Fire." He literally likes hunting the mortals in the darkness. Just like Vecna. And in the Upside Down we saw there are in fact Bats, demobats, but is Vecna controlling them? He can't be both Vecna and Camazotz at the same time. Maybe Vecna is just a puppet of this unknown dimension?
The second edition of DnD was introduced in 1974, and Vecna was introduced in this edition. Which explains why they used this name for Henry. But Camazotz wasn't
Who are we gonna see? Camazotz, from the Maya or Camazotz from DnD? I mean in like his capacities or look a like.
I have some theories.
The first one is, somebody's going to sacrifice themselves to save everyone else. As I said in my previous theories, I had the idea of Robin and/or Jonathan that sacrifices themselves. In this context, I don't think Robin's sacrifice would happen for this sort of thing. However Jonathan's could be. It could be a big twist for Will because I have this idea where he's going to be either stuck, or he's going to stay in the Upside Down in some ways, along with Mike. So this could be one of their conversations later, it could ruin Will so Mike would be there to comfort him.
The second one is, someone's going to get killed by Camazotz, which explains the word "escape" in the title. Maybe Robin, Jonathan, Max (if she isn't already dead) or one parent like Karen or Ted.
The actor of Ted answered a question in an interview. Someone asked something about him not being mentioned by Vecna when he showed Nancy that her whole family is going to die, and the actor simply answered: "Oh. You noticed?" With a wink.
So maybe Ted knows about Karen's link to Vecna. Maybe it isn't their story isn't like what Nancy said to Jonathan in season 1. The whole "Perfect" family is probably a lie.
This could actually explain why Vecna showed what's gonna happen to the Wheeler family, to Nancy. Because she's the one who got this "Perfect family" idea. We never saw Mike talk about it to anyone. So.... this is all a little blurry...
But I think, in this episode, there has to be 1 death. Most likely Robin, because she was only introduced in season 3 and she's a recent character, compared to the other ones who were here since season 1.
I have this theory, what if the end of ST5 is the beginning of ST1. What I mean is that, we go back to the beginning like how it was before everything happened even though it actually happened. It's like, everything ended and now we're back to how it was. So it means, only the 4 boys, Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, Hopper and Joyce. Eleven wouldn't be, because she's one of the reasons it all started, and it would be such a good ending if she dies saving Hawkins. Barb doesn't count cause she'd dead. And every characters introduced later died so far: Billy, Max (half dead), Bob... Only Murray and Robin are left. Murray will def die that's for sure and Robin, for me, has to die too.
Now, I want to talk about BYLER.
Remember the episode 3 of season 3, with Will and Mike's fight under the rain? Guess who it was directed by:
Shawn Levy.
And who's going to direct episode 6 of ST5?
Shawn Levy.
He didn't only direct that, but he also directed the sauna episode. And what happens in the sauna episode?
Will: I can feel him....
Mike, looking at Will's lips: Max get away from the door...
So, if Shawn Levy direct the episode 6, we'll get byler. And was I thinking? Byler kiss episode 6, that was my theory. With 3 or 4 intimate moments between them before episode 6 and the kiss during this episode.
There is one director I didn't talk about, it's Frank Darabont. He's a director who made a lot of horror movies, and we know how Stanger Things can be disgusting sometimes. Right?
Tumblr media
So if Frank directs 3 episodes, they're going to be very scary or atleast be special in a disgusting way, maybe? But it's definitely going to be horror for these episodes.
I think he'll probably direct episode 7, that'd make sense, maybe 8 too.
Anyway, that was it. Tell me what you guys think about these two spoilers/leaks. I hope the directing one is true. And the titles are still possibly to change in the future, but the episode 2 really caught me off guard. I bet it's gonna be Holly.
And by the way, I hope they can bring back Sarah, Hopper's daughter. The fact that her and Holly look alike, isn't a coincidence for me. Maybe Sarah is more important than we think she is.

the way some milkvans actually feel threatened by byler literally proves that byler has a BIG chance to be endgame, like one day they were like "theres no way in hell byler will happen" but then, mostly after season 4, they got even more pressed cause they KNOW their ship is threatened by byler. if youre a milkvan and you still deny the huge possibility of byler endgame please open your eyes because you have everything you need to know right in front of you

This, is what I think is going to happen for BYLER in season 5:
1. They will get multiple heart-to-heart/intimate scenes together. As we already saw in season 4, they got 3 in total: the first on at Will's house, after El shmacked Angela's face, the second one on the car in the desert, after burying the Hero Unknown Agent Man's body, the third one in the van when Will opens to him. In season 3, we didn't get any, but in season 2 we had 2: the first one when Mike reassures Will about the Mind Flayer and they touch hands *so cute*, and the second one when Mike tells about the first time they met. So if we're being reasonable, it could be 4, I think we'll have 4 scenes in total.
Let me explain that... I see the first one being about Max and Lucas' mental state. It could be at the hospital, or at school, or at Mike's house. The second one could be some sort of fight. I remember one of the co-writers saying there will be an other rain fight. I don't really know if it will happen cause he confirmed it a long time ago but let's say it is. So an other rain fight, at Mike's house, but maybe this time it could hint Mike's sexuality instead of Will's like in S3. The third one could be where they try to reassure each other that it's okay they will win right after Vecna's back, more likely at Mike's house or someplace other. The fourth one could be in the Upside Down, because may I remember you that Mike never went in the Upside Down? That's what we call a first time, right Mike! So Mike and Will in the Upside Down could talk about everything they've been through and Mike could finally kiss Will and tell him how much he loves him.
For a final scene, a fifth but not really fifth, it could be when everything's over. They go to some sort of High School Ball to celebrate their final year and I see them finally breaking the "I'm scared" barrier and go in the middle of the dance floor and dance together like no one else is there with a Time After Time song playing on the background.
2. Their first kiss will be awkward from both their POV. What I mean is that when they kiss for like, what, 3 seconds, Will pushes Mike gently and Mike removes himself gently and they look at each other like they did something bad. Will stutters trying to say something but nothing comes out of his mouth. Mike could say something like "Oh, I'm sorry I- I didn't..." but Will could interrupt him like 'bitch wdym you're sorry' he could kiss him back but it is after the kiss Mike will admit he never liked El romantically. Buy yeah, awkward kiss, just like Rockie's one could be actually. Mostly cause they're older so it doubles the awkwardness.
3. Jonathan gets some hate towards Mike. I can literally imagine Jonathan always being mad, upset and distant towards Mike because he can't see his brother likes him. It'd be too funny I'm sorry ;-;
4. Will gets hurt by Vecna and Mike stays next to him at the hospital. It could be the opposite actually, Mike in the bed, but I prefer Will cause he's used to it now- I can see them being close and Mike being super worried but it doesn't count as a intimate scene because Jonathan, Joyce and Hopper are close.
5. Will shirtless makes Mike blush. Let me explain, LET ME. We saw in S5 BTS they swapped clothes for some stuff. Like, we saw Will has Mike's clothes on, logic, he left everything in California and they do the same cloth size (almost). So if we consider the fact that Mike lends his clothes to Will, we can totally imagine at one point Will, coming in Mike's room asking for a shirt because he doesn't have anymore. Mike brings him one and he says thanks, then he removes his clothes, his back facing Mike's face and he gets like flustrated it'd be HILARIOUSLY CUTE. He could stare through a mirror maybe, idk but that sounds nice right?
6. Mike will get hurt in the Upside Down. Of course he has to, he hasn't been hurt in the whole show, BRO'S FINE. So he gets hurt and Will of course would help him, they could rest a little and talk two times, one "normal" hinting a future kiss and the second time they kiss.
An upside down kiss. What a funny name. It isn't a Spider-Man kiss though (should be).
I think that's it, I'll reblog my post if I find anything else.

I predict a foreshadowing to Mike being a target of Vecna (the first or second one) to introduce: the Villain (Vecna), El and his internalized homophobia along with his feelings for Will...

At the end of Eddie's campaign, they had to defeat Vecna and the 2 remaining players were Dustin and Erica. When Dustin went for his last chance, he misses the opportunity to kill Vecna when his dice hit the number 11. Eddie says "That's a MISS!" meaning he couldn't kill Vecna with that number.
11 = Eleven
Tumblr media
And then, at the same time, the basketball game of Lucas is being parallaled with the DnD game. While the timer is about to hit 0 and the game's over, Lucas makes the final move and wins, by wearing the number 8 on him.
8 = Kali
So is Kali the key to kill Vecna? Will El need Kali to kill him?
Hmmmmmm....

Here's the list of all my theories about Stranger Things 5 (not in order):
-Robin dies -> either to sacrifice herself (for Vickie or Steve) or she gets killed by Vecna.
-Max dies -> she doesn't wake up of her coma (episode 6 or 7, preferably after Robin's death).
=> After everyone starts to lose hope, they all get the courage to read her letters and they get determined to avenge her and the other deaths (even from previous seasons, such as Barbara for Nancy).
-Jonathan dies -> by saving Nancy or Will.
=> causes an emotional damage to Will, losing his big brother, the only one who knew about who he was.
-Mike and Eleven break up because Mike wants them to be just friends.
-Mike finally tells Will he's in love with him (episode 6 or 7, preferably after Max's death).
-Mike and Will go in the Upside Down (no reason in my mind right now, except it could be to find something).
=> They find Eddie alive (not dead because or the following reason: it's impossible to get killed in the Upside Down if you're not killed by Vecna himself -> Barb was killed by Vecna in the Upside Down since we see her in the pool she died, trapped like Chrissy, Vecna's mother etc. This could explain why Vecna didn't die when Nancy, Steve and Robin tried in S4). ((This theory is the least possible one in my mind, just so you know)) => he really dies though in the end.
Then, mostly everyone becomes a target of Vecna. Here's the list and the causes (why are they a target) and the characters that saves them (in order):
-Dustin is a target -> cause: Eddie's death, as he feels guilt for letting him go back in the Upside Down without him -> Steve or Lucas saves him because of their strong friendship.
-Lucas is a target -> cause: He feels guilt for not saving Max before Vecna takes her -> Max (if she doesn't die) or Erica saves him.
*Robin dies at this moment before the others gets targeted*
-Steve is a target -> cause: He feels guilt because he couldn't save Robin from the hands of Vecna -> Nancy saves him.
-Nancy is a target -> cause: She feels guilt because of Barbara and Steve being a target, but mostly of Barb -> Jonathan saves her by dying = she feels a second guilt and Steve feels guilt too.
*Jonathan dies at this moment*
-Will is a target -> cause: Vecna shows him his old memories (with his mom, Jonathan, Mike and the Party), but mostly bad memories to show him how his life is miserable. He asks Will to join him but refuses -> The music "Should I Stay or Should I Go" gets a door to open (just like Max when "Running up That Hill" started), and Mike's voice gets Will to escape Vecna's lair. He crushes his left eye before escaping (foreshadowing from Eddie during the DnD campaign in S4).
-Mike is a target (endgame, mostly end of episode 7 or beginning of episode 8) -> El saves him by fighting with Vecna but she still doesn't kill him. She gets hurt because he got stronger.
Now, the most crazy theory:
-Everyone finds a plan: Time travel.
=> They think, if the time in the Upside Down stopped the day Will got into the U.D, maybe he's the key of the U.D. Why? Maybe Vecna gave him this "power" because they're alike (sensitive, lonely, and good drawer). So they think if Will goes back inside, they can come back to the day he got kidnapped by Vecna and kill him when he was less strong.
And the Endgame theories (so episode 8 or end of episode 7):
-The Party finally gets back together and are going to be the leaders of the last episode.
-Eleven saves Hawkins by killing Vecna.
=> Parallel with the first season: Eleven gets Vecna on the wall, being ready to kill him but before that, she turns her head to Mike or the Party and says "Goodbye" one last time just like in the final of season 1. She then kills Vecna inside of the U.D creating a sort of supernova (because she erases him like the Demogorgon in s1, but since she did that outside of the U.D and she teleported them in it, and this time she's inside, this world can't support it and it makes a sort of supernova). This causes the U.D to get closed forever and Eleven dies, closing the possibility of interacting with the U.D from the real world.
That's it!! Tell me what you guys think about this, it's the main theories in big lines, some things a more precise obviously.

Okay so I was listening to some Stranger Things ost when I realized something that just blew my mind.
Tumblr media
This OST in from season 2, it's called "The First Lie" and it played when Nancy and Jonathan kiss then make out in season 2, at Murray's. Why is it called like that? Because they both lied about their attraction towards one another and see how the L of "Lie" is in capital? It means it was a real LIE.
Tumblr media
And this OST which I already talked about, is called "The First I love You" and it played when El kisses Mike before leaving for California. The L isn't capital, so it is not love as in romantic, but love atleast as in platonic.
But why am I talking about two Canon ships? Well, if you listen to "The First Lie" you'll see it has the same build as "The First I love You." What do I mean by that? I mean, it has the same structure, same instruments, same music but one is just faster and the other one slower with other sounds. But it has the same structure. But why? So here it is: they have the same structure (so the same similarities, it's like the same soundtrack but reworked for the other one) because when Mike yelled to everyone because of an argument with Max and he said "So can we please come up with another plan because I love her and I can't lose her again!" and everyone was in shock because they thought he Loved her, he lied about loving her that way, as in romantic way. So it counts as a lie, a lie about loving someone romantically when he doesn't love her that way. He do loves her, but only platonically. The "L" isn't capital, cause it isn't considered as romantic.
The L isn't capital, he doesn't love her that way. And it is the same as the OST from season 2, because it was the first lie he ever said about loving El that way.
People probably already noticed, I'm probably late, but ah who cares? #byler.

So Will got a messy bowl cut, he's fucking hot, hotter than usual...
Tumblr media
And there's Mike, who's hair got totally ruined. Why does it look like his mom cut his hair like-
I hope it was worth it.
Anyway, what I wanted to say at first was... look at Will's shirt. Does it remind you of anything? EXACTLY!
Tumblr media
Same shirt. Of course, we know Will and Joyce came back to Hawkins and since their house got saled, I think El and Joyce will live with Hopper but Will is going to live with Mike, mostly in his basement, which could explain the cloth borrowing.
But then I noticed something else... take a look at Mike's shoes. You got it? Okay? Nike sneakers alright...
Tumblr media
See THOSE SNEAKERS. DO YOU SEE THEM? EXACT SAME.
And before you ask, yes, they have the same shoe size. Look, both 10
Tumblr media
So did they swap clothes AND shoes? Whatever it is, it's cute, can't deny it.

I noticed that Mike and Will literally complete each other. Like, Will has zero confidence in himself. When he was called zombie boy in season 2, he drew himself being it later on, saying he's a freak, he doesn't believe in himself at all. In season 3 he doesn't really take his neck thing seriously, like he doesn't trust it, he doesn't trust himself. And then season 4, he isn't confident in him to make friends at Lenora, which is sad. And while on Mike's side it's almost the same thing. In season 1 he gets confidence by having the will of finding his bestfriend, in season 2, he has confidence by helping Will and in season 3 he has for protecting El. In season 4 he has a low estime in himself before Eddie finds him and make him join Hellfire. But when they get together, nothing can stop them. Season 2, Mike and Will are staying together, Will tells him when somethings wrong. In season 3 they're more afar because of El. They fight a lot, especially cause Mike can't see the problems with Will being jealous and tired of his best friend always sticking up his girlfriend's ass. But in the end they manage to help each other out because of the Mind Flayer who's a big organes goo. In season 4 everything changes, when they're together they think better, they stick up for each other and they protect each other. We really saw their bond during this season. And since in season 5 it'll be centered on Will, they'll definitely be a big duo next season.
And by the way, Mike hates pictures, either cause he thinks he's not good in them, either because he just doesn't like it. But when he's with Will on it, he smiles and is happy, we see that in season 3. Just to prove that together they have confidence. They are a safe place to each other, this is exactly why Will talked to Mike about his visions in his basement.

i can already tell what this scene is
Tumblr media
Mike is gonna make one of his signature leader speeches while Will listens with heart eyes. Mike is gonna put his hand down first, trying to inspire hope. Lucas will put his hand down with sincerity and determination likely motivated by Max and saving the party. Will will look around with a small smile, his gaze landing on Mike for just a small beat longer and put his hand down. Finally Dustin will hesitate but then confidently put his hand on top saying something like “lets kick ass” or something similar
